Rings Found At Wabasis Beach, Greenville, MI

  • from Holland (Michigan, United States)

July 4th, Rings Found At Wabasis Beach. Received a call from Kim stating that her daughter-in-law just lost her 2 wedding rings in about 4ft of water. Daughter-in-law had to leave to go to work so I met Kim at the beach and she showed me the possible location of where the rings were lost. My first grid thru that area turned up a mans SS ring, my 4th pass thru the area turned up both rings in the same scoopful. The beach was packed with people and many gathered around to see the rings that were recovered. Kim was overjoyed when I handed her the rings

Received a message from Victor last Sunday. He explained that he lost a rose gold ring while at the beach last Saturday. Victor had already returned back home to Philadelphia but he did mark his location with a “pin” from his cell phone. He wasnt sure if it was in the dry sand or water but he did believe it may have dropped where he was sitting. Took a ride over Monday morning and proceeded to the coordinates he provided. After a brief search I heard a faint signal and dug down about 1ft, out came Victors ring! After sharing the good news I shipped the ring back to him and he received it yesterday. Another happy client!!
Victors Review:
“I am still amazed by Jeff’s work and diligence in helping me recover my lost wedding band. When my ring went missing at the beach, I thought for sure that I’d never see it again. Jeff found my ring a full 24+ hours later buried at least A FOOT in sand. I’m relieved that there are caring people out there like Jeff. I’m forever grateful for his service and would recommend him a million times over.”

Colin and his family were enjoying a sunny vacation in Sea Isle City, NJ. Like many beachgoers, they spent the day relaxing, swimming, and playing in the sand. Before heading out to the beach, Colin applied sunscreen and tied his wedding ring to the drawstring of his bathing suit. It seemed like a safe spot at the time.

The day flew by with fun and sun. Colin had completely forgotten where he’d placed his ring. Later that evening, while out to dinner with his family, he remembered. He reached down to untie the ring and realized—it was gone. His heart sank.

Everyone at the table felt the shock. Colin shared the story with a few people nearby. Someone overheard and suggested he contact Ring Finders South Jersey. They said, “You need The Sea Isle City Ring Finder! He’s helped a lot of people recover lost jewelry.”

Colin reached out the very next day.

When he called me, I could hear the worry in his voice. His wedding ring held deep sentimental value. He gave me a general idea of where they had been on the beach. Though Colin had already left Sea Isle City to head home, he was hopeful the ring could still be found.

I headed out that same day with my gear. As a local expert in Sea Isle City metal detector searches, I know the beaches well. I began by gridding off the area he described, working slowly and methodically. I scanned every section carefully, checking signals and removing trash to get better readings.

After about an hour of searching, I heard a clean, solid tone. I dug carefully—and there it was. A beautiful gold wedding band buried just a few inches under the sand.

Success!

Since Colin had already left town, I met up with his sister, who was still in Sea Isle City. I returned the ring to her, and she promised to deliver it back to Colin. The look on her face said it all—relief, joy, and disbelief that it had actually been found.

It’s moments like these that make this job so rewarding. Helping someone recover a treasured item they thought was lost forever is incredibly meaningful.

If you’ve lost a ring or any piece of jewelry on the beach, don’t wait. Contact Ring Finders South Jersey or reach out to The Sea Isle City Ring Finder. The sooner we start the search, the better the chances of finding it.

Diamond and Zirconium Mother’s Ring Lost in the Sand, Found and Returned Georgetown, SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

Just before 7 p.m. on July 4th I got a text saying, “Hi, we lost a ring on the beach at Debordieu (a gated community north of Georgetown, SC). Do you still do metal detecting services?” I immediately called the number attached to the text and talked with Rick. I got a few more details and told Rick it’d take me a little over an hour but was on my way.

When I arrived, Rick had called the gate guard and let him know I was coming, so I had no problem getting through. I met Rick along the way, parked and he led me out to the spot on the beach. They had left the tent up to mark the area. I was told that Rick’s wife Candy had put the ring in her top and when she stood up to get out of the beach chair, the ring fell out. I looked at Rick and his son-in-law Josh, and said “What do you think, maybe a minute?” I turned on the machine, took about 3 steps and hit a solid 6 on the VDI (visual display indicator). Bingo! I took a small scoop of sand and gently shook it out of the scoop. Looked in the scoop and there was Candy’s beautiful ring. We drove back to Rick’s house, and I got to meet Candy who already had her ring back on. Very happy lady!!!

Josh – Thank you for finding me on Google.

Rick and Candy – Thank you for allowing me to help find your ring. Enjoy your vacation!

Lost Gold Ring Recovered in South Tampa

  • from Tampa (Florida, United States)

Item recovered April 21, 2025.

On Easter Sunday, Kalyn and friends were competing in a backyard egg toss when she decided to remove her rings as a competitive advantage and prevent them from getting yolk soaked. The strategy worked, she won the toss 😁
She has a set of three separate white gold rings that she put into her pocket. After the toss had ended, she only had two rings in her pocket!
I was referred to her by a friend of a friend from work that I had previously helped locate a ring. Kalyn contacted me Sunday evening and we arranged a meeting at the house to search. After work, I made my way to South Tampa.
The yard had been searched extensively by everyone, and they even tried using a metal detector with no luck. It was a small, fenced-in back yard with lush, thick grass.

I started my search in the area where she thought the ring was lost, covering it 2-3 times with no luck. I started to expand the search area when I got a nice sounding target with a low vdi (33). This had the classic sound of either aluminum foil or gold.

Upon moving the blades of grass, the ring had been found!

Men’s Wedding Ring Recovered in Lakeland Florida

  • from Tampa (Florida, United States)

Item recovered April 7, 2025.

David called me asking for help locating a tungsten ring he lost in his front yard after rinsing his hands working in the yard. He had lost weight and his ring was loose on his finger so when he shook off the water, his ring went flying.
On my way to meet him, he mentioned his kids were finishing dinner and may be interested in watching me and asking questions. I knew this was going to be a fun recovery!
When I arrived, everyone was excited to learn about metal detecting! I showed them the detector and let them try it, but it was a little too big for them to operate. The pinpointer however was the perfect tool!

Me and my helpers started detecting the small strip of grass between the driveways. The kids found a few scrap metal items from the newly constructed house as we worked our way from the house to the street.
About half way down, we got a very loud signal. The kids came to investigate further and found their father’s ring!
This was one of my all-time favorite recoveries!
