Lost engagement ring in the river

Misty posted on Facebook that her son lost his copper ring at Pilgram Haven while swimming in Lake Michigan. After 5 days with nobody willing to help find his ring I gave it a shot and found his ring in about an hour. They were visiting West Michigan from their home in Fort Wayne, Ind. There are rings that are priceless even though they are not worth much in monetary value. The picture is the spot where the ring was found, 30 paces from the shore and in about waist deep water. They were camping in the area so Misty stopped by to pickup the ring. The smile says it all and it made my day.

Received a text from Lou yesterday about him having lost his gold chain while swimming. Lou, and his young family, had rented a cottage near Apsley on Chandos lake. While playing with the kids, he did a few dives off the dock only to realize later that his huge gold chain was no longer around his neck. After arriving early this morning and getting situated, I got in the water and went to work with my Excalibur II under water metal detector. After eliminating a few trash signals, I heard the sweet tone of gold and found his chain within ten minutes. Although the chain is very valuable due to the size and weight, it is priceless as it was given to him by his grandmother. Another happy ending.

DJ and his family were soaking up the sun on a perfect day in Ocean City, NJ, their beach vacation filled with laughter and joy. But in an instant, DJ’s heart sank – his cherished wedding band had slipped off his finger and vanished into the sand. Frantic, he searched every inch of the surrounding area, but there was no sign of the ring. In desperation, his wife discovered Ring Finders South Jersey and gave me a call. I quickly gathered the details and rushed to the scene. Equipped with my trusty metal detector, I began a meticulous search of the sand. Suddenly, a strong signal buzzed in my ear. With a surge of excitement, I scooped up a handful of sand and there, glinting in the sunlight, was DJ’s ring! Overjoyed, DJ could finally end his day on a triumphant note, his treasured wedding band back where it belonged.

I received a text message from Nick today (6-28-2025) about 4 o’clock in the afternoon, asking if I still metal detected for lost rings.
I responded, « Yes, I do. »
He went on to tell me that he thinks that he might have lost it at the ball diamonds earlier this morning while coaching his daughters softball team. So we set up a time to meet around 7 p.m. at the ballfields. When I arrived, Nick showed me where they had practiced earlier in the day. Nick and his wife spent a few hours searching the diamond for Nick’s lost ring, with no luck. That’s when Nick found a Reddit post about @theringfinders and a successful search that took place in Nebraska. Nick then searched out The Ring Finders .com and found me there and reached out from there. I started by searching the piles of dirt that Nick had raked up. Oh, did I mention that Nick and his wife had raked the entire infield by hand, looking for his ring!! Unfortunately, to no avail. So I then did an entire grid search on the infield, again to no avail. That’s when Nick suggested that I search the small grass strip in front of the dugout. So I started behind home plate and started searching towards 3rd base as Nick followed along. About half way to 3rd I got the sound I was waiting for! A double tapping low tone! The DĒUS II VDI display was flashing a solid 58! As I looked down at the ground I could see Nick’s 10K white gold wedding ring laying in the grass!
Success!!
Another smile for the book! 😁👍🏼

Zane lost his wedding ring while visiting crab island with family and friends last week. He called me and thankfully after gathering as much info as I could i was able to recover his ring in waist deep water in a few hours. They were extremely happy and such great people. Another one!!

I got a call about a lost ring in waist deep water. He was very distraught over loosing the ring and his wife contacted me to find it. He did not know I was looking for it. After looking for an hour she confessed to her husband I was there looking for it and he came down and had a little better idea where he had lost it and I found it in 10 minutes! It can be challenging looking for a ring in the water!

As I was leaving the beach I was approached about a watch that was dropped in the water, They had been frantically searching for it but it was buried under the sand in the water. It took about 15 minutes but the watch was recovered and still working!

I received a call that a bachelorette party weekend had taken a turn for the worst when Amy, a bridesmaid had lost her wedding ring in near by Megunticook Lake. With my tear away policeman costume and Chippendale Speedo, bow tie, and wrist cuff ensemble, unfortunately out to the dry cleaners, I instead grabbed my scuba diving metal detectorist outfit and headed to the scene to bring the mood back up. I was greeted with hoots and hollers upon my arrival and then again when I surfaced from the lake a short time later busting my signature move of holding up the lost ring with a big smile. Remember, if you happen to lose a ring in the lake at a bachelorette party, it should not stay lost in the lake at a bachelorette party. Contact The Ring Finders.

Lost Necklace Recovered in the Lagoon Just Before Checkout!
I got a call from Matt, who had just wrapped up a relaxing week at the Jersey Shore. As he and his friends were packing up to leave, disaster struck—he dove off the bulkhead earlier that morning and felt his necklace slip right off, dropping straight down into the lagoon between the jet ski dock and the bulkhead.
He found my page and reached out in hopes that I could help, even though they had to check out by noon. I told him I’d rearrange my plans and head over immediately.
When I arrived, Matt showed me exactly where it happened. I got right to work, but the bottom was a mess—old bulkhead parts, a tree stump, and storm debris made swinging my detector tough. With so much metal interference from years of boating and water activities, it was slow going. The water was deep, the sun was blazing, and I was starting to think a dive with my handheld detector might be the only way.
Just as I was about to call it quits, I caught a solid signal—one that stood out from the usual noise. It took several tricky scoops, but then… success! Matt’s beautiful necklace was sitting in my scoop.
I handed up my gear, climbed out of the murky water, and joined the celebration on the dock. Matt and his friends were beyond thrilled, and the joy on their faces made every minute of the struggle worth it. After some happy chatting, they headed off with smiles and one last great memory of their vacation on the Jersey Shore.
