Lost White Gold and Diamonds Wedding Band at Aulani Beach Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

This Ring find began when I got a text from Stanley who was on vacation from Irvine, California and staying at the Aulani Resort.  He texted, « Hello my friend.  I need your service. I lost me ring at the Aulani hotel. »  I immediately called and Stanley told me he was standing in 3 feet of water and « It just slide off! »  He was leaving the next morning so I agreed to come first light and hopefully find his ring before they had to depart for the airport.  The pics Stanley provided gave me excellent info to create a grid search.  Facing the lagoon I worked from right to left.  About 5 minutes into the search coming down the wet sand slope I got a booming 49-50 on the Manticore and on the second scoop there was Stanley’ stunning ring in the scoop.  I ran back to my car to call Stanley and give him the good news.  We met on Aulani’s boardwalk for the return.  Thank you Brother! was his response and he was obviously relieved to be going home with his ring on his finger.  Thank you Jesus for the perfect timing!

Lost Ring Found in Hammond, Louisiana Yard – Persistence Pays Off

This week I got a call from a homeowner in Hammond, Louisiana who had lost a ring somewhere in her yard. She had already brought out another member from TheRingFinders, but unfortunately, the ring still hadn’t been found.

When I arrived, the first thing I did was ask her to walk me through exactly where the previous search had taken place. She showed me the area, and I decided to re-check it myself just to be sure. After covering that section thoroughly with my detector and turning up nothing, I felt confident eliminating that area entirely.

That’s actually a big advantage in these recoveries, once an area has been properly searched (especially twice), you can shift your focus and start thinking differently about where the ring could be.

I expanded the search, working left and right into adjacent areas of the yard, but still no signal. At that point, I decided to take a long shot.

There was a trampoline in the yard, and I moved to the opposite side which was much farther out than the homeowner thought the ring could have traveled. Using my orange flag marking technique, I began systematically grid-searching the area to eliminate ground efficiently and avoid overlap.

Sure enough… a solid signal.

Just like that, the ring was sitting in the grass on the far side of the trampoline which was well outside the originally searched zone.

Another successful recovery in Louisiana, and another reminder that these items often end up farther than expected.

If you’ve lost a ring or valuable item, don’t assume it’s gone, sometimes it just takes a different approach and a little persistence to bring it back.

***Grace had put her ring in the pocket of her shorts, while she was at Belmont Shores Bayside beach. This is actually in the city of Long Beach, CA. When she was ready to leave the beach, her ring was not in the shorts. It had to be somewhere in a 30ft x 40ft area of dry sand.

This is what I was told when Grace called me. I drove18 miles to meet her on the back bay beach. The small gold ring was found shortly after I turned on my Minelab Manticore metal detector and started a grid search. She was very happy and relieved after spending several hours searching with four of her friends.

Mrs Lauren was standing in her front yard after sunset enjoying the cool Florida night air when her cat quietly walked up behind her and brushed against the back of her leg and startled her and made her jump. No big deal right? Wrong!! Well it just so happened that she was fiddling with her diamond ring and when she jumped she accidentally flung her ring off to one side and into the thick bushes and heavy mulch. She had a fairly good idea « about » where it went so she got her good flashlight and enlisted the help of her son to try and find it…but the longer they looked the more frustrated and desperate Mrs Lauren became. She had a hand held Nokta Pulse dive scuba detector but that just seemed to beep all the time…picking up the aluminum down spout, yard lights and other metal objects. It was getting late when she found theringfinders.com web site and my number and she decided to give me a call. We made arrangements to meet the next day and after showing me where she was standing it only took…literally… seconds to find the perfect beep that read a #61 on my Deus 2 metal detector and there was Lauren’s lost engagement ring hidden deep in the soft leaves and mulch! What an honor it was to hand her ring back to her and see the relief and joy on her face! Quietly I thanked God for helping me so quickly find and return her lost engagement ring!

*** I woke up to see a text that was sent to me at 1 am last night. It was from Annita who had lost a gold diamond wedding ring set at Corona Delmar Beach, Newport Beach, CA.

It was important to get to the location as soon as possible, so I called her at 6:30 am.

She answered sharing that she had been playing volleyball and believed her two rings were near area where she put her back pack.

Annita was about 45miles away and couldn’t get to the location until later. I was able to leave immediately because the landmarks she gave me were very clear. By 7:30 am I had found both wedding rings . We met later that morning to hand Annita her beautiful sentimental rings.

Anthony was washing his very energetic dog in his back yard and when he was done he noticed that his wedding ring was not on his finger! He called me and explained that his ring was a bit loose and he was 98% sure of the exact location of where it must have fallen into the thick grass. He attempted to locate his lost wedding ring by pulling up the grass and when I arrived he had a four foot circle of dirt. He tried searching online for a metal detector and the first thing to pop up was one of my stories…so that is when he called. Lost – Men’s Gold Wedding Ring – Kissimmee, FL – FOUND!

Andrew called me Monday night with the kind of news that sinks your stomach—he’d lost his gold ring, a gift from his wife 20 years ago. He’d been doing landscaping at a drugstore near Orlando while spreading mulch and cutting down a tree; and somewhere along the way, the ring vanished.

I told him I’d be there,  first thing in the morning.  I stopped and prayed to God that He would lead me to the ring the next day.

When I arrived, I headed straight for the freshly spread mulch out front. My Minelab Manticore lit up constantly—coins, pull tabs, even a silver bracelet—but not the one thing we were hoping for. No ring!

I reached out to John, Andrew’s employee, who was supposed to meet me there, but he was delayed by rain. When I asked if there were any other areas they’d worked, he mentioned a spot behind the store where they had removed a tree.  That was all I needed.

I moved to the back and started searching, working the area carefully for the next 20–30 minutes.  Still nothing but junk.   John eventually showed up, and I told him I was methodically gridding the area—but so far, no luck. After he left, I was determined not to miss anything, but running out of areas to search.  I prayed again, “Lord lead me to the ring.”

I changed my approach.  Instead of scanning the ground, I walked over to the actual stump of the tree they had removed. The moment I swept my detector over it, I got a strong, unmistakable signal.

Right in the hollow of the stump—tucked among bark and fresh sawdust—I spotted it.  A beautiful heavy gold ring!
