Maria called wanting to try and recover some items lost in the Altadena fire. There was one item she was most interested in recovering her mother had given her many years back, and it was a Gold coin that was made into a pendant. I did the search sifting out a large area where she believed everything must have gone. I found the pendant and very excitedly took it over to show her.

The total of finds for the day was :

  1. One large gold coin pendant
  2. 27 large silver coins
  3.  3 rings
  4.  1 chain

You can see by my picture, just how much this kind of work takes out of you. This was about 4 hours of straight sifting to find these items. Yet to see how emotional she was to have these back, made it all worthwhile.

Tatyana called me explaining how she had lost her ring after being hit by a wave at the beach. I looked at the tide chart, and realized the tide was coming in, so the opportunity for a search in the water this day was gone. We arranged to meet the next day as the tide was receding in order to have the best chance of a recovery.

When I got to the beach we found each other quickly, and Tatyana led me over to the area of the loss. She explained what had happened, and pointed out the specific area I should search. I began on the wet sand outside of the water thinking maybe the tide had gone out enough to find the ring. It wasn’t going to happen that way, so I began to search in the water finding a few pieces of trash metal. I began to come out of the water on one pass, and received a whisper of a signal in the headphones and dug, when I dumped the sand and kicked it, I saw the glimmer of gold, reached down, and had Tatyana’s ring. She had her back to me when this happened, so I walked over to her with my hand outstretched holding the ring. When she saw it she became very emotional. It was then she told me how her father had this ring custom made for her, and had passed away just this last March. This was a very important recovery for her because of the memory of her father. So glad I was able to help.

Despite the beach and weather conditions from offshore hurricane Erin, Morganna and her husband managed to sneak in some beach time enjoying the sand with their children on the beach here in Cape May. Her husband had removed his ring and placed it in the pouch of their beach chair for safe keeping while they played in the sand with their children. After a few hours, and deteriorating weather conditions, the family packed up the crew and headed off the beach forgetting that the ring had been placed in the chair pocket. Shortly after returning to their hotel room the couple realized what had transpired and began checking the chair only to find the ring was gone. They returned to the beach to search with no success. During this time Cape May had experienced extremely rough surf and very high tides due to hurricane Erin. The next morning Morganna reached out and we made arrangements to meet on the beach. Once she led me to the general area where they were set up on the beach I began searching. After about 30 minutes of searching I had her husbands ring in the scoop. Clearly the high tide had washed over it, and given where it was found, had also moved the ring about 25 yards from where the family had been sitting. Another happy couple!
Morgannas review:
“Jeff was amazing! Such a nice guy who is willing to help anyone! Messaged him in the morning, met up with him around 9 and he found my husband’s wedding band within the hour! Despite all the rip tides and tropical storm weather he still found it!!”

I received a late night text from Lily explaining that she and her girlfriends had spent an afternoon on Sunset Beach off Alexander Ave in Cape May Point. At some point she believed that her mothers class ring, which Lily wore, had slipped out of her shorts pocket while they were on the beach. This occurred about TWO WEEKS prior to her reaching out! We chatted back and forth while I gathered some specifics about their location. Lily wasn’t sure if the ring was even there but I assured her that I would attempt to check the area regardless. The next morning I rode over to Alexander Ave and began checking the area before beach patrons arrived. With only one photograph and a text description of the area I began checking the beach. After about 25 minutes of searching I had her mothers ring in the scoop. Lily had already returned home several weeks prior so he ring was shipped back to her. Another happy client, another successful hunt!
Lily’s review of service:
“Very quick and responsive! Found my mother’s class ring that I had lost two weeks prior. He found it in the sand and sent it to me through the mail since I don’t live locally. Highly recommend!”

Real-Life Ring Recovery Story: Marina Beach Park Success.
On Labor Day evening, Cheryl contacted Dave, distraught because her husband lost his wedding ring while boogie boarding at Marina Beach Park in Ventura. The ring, loose from frequent beach trips, slipped off during a tumble in the surf. Cheryl usually safeguarded it, but this time, both were caught off guard by a big wave.Since the ring was lost in the surf, Dave planned a search during the low tide at 2:45 AM Friday to avoid the heavy shorebreak. Marina Park’s bowl-shaped beach meant shifting sands could bury the ring deeper, so timing was critical. Dave promised to pray for its safe return and began gridding the beach at low tide.Working alone in the early hours, Dave split the beach into sections, focusing on the left side where Cheryl’s husband was boogie boarding. After 35 minutes with no targets, he moved to the north side. On his third pass, a pull-tab tone led to a men’s wedding band in his CKG scoop. Unsure if it was the right ring, Dave continued searching until 3:45 AM, finding no other targets. He sent a photo to Cheryl, went home to rest, and at 7:00 AM, Cheryl confirmed with joy—it was her husband’s ring!

Received a call from Collier, Collier explained that his ring had slipped off while he was standing in knee deep surf and disappeared beneath the water. While on the phone with Collier I checked the tide chart and we planned on meeting up once the tide receded. Once the tide was down to almost low, I met Collier on the beach. Once he directed me to the general area I began checking and located his ring in about 5 minutes, much to Collier’s surprise! Another vacation saved!
Colliers review: “I lost my ring in the ocean today, and 6 hours after I lost the ring, he came and found it in 5 minutes! Incredible. Came right when he said he would, and is a very friendly guy. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Judie called, seeming a little desperate, asking if I would be able to come and help her find her wedding ring. I let her know I was available, and would leave right away.

It took a while to find parking, but I was able to get to the area quickly. As soon as I got there her husband Rien found me, and led me to where the loss occurred. It amazed Judie and Rien that I was able to find the ring in just a few minutes, after they had spent an enormous amount of time looking for it. They had only been married for 5 months, so this loss was very important to find. I met some very nice people, and was able to allow them to sleep well that night!

Vernon’s wife contacted me about doing a search for his wedding ring he had lost the day before in a small cove at the state beach. We arranged to have him meet me there so he could take me to the area of the loss.

When I got there I met with Vernon, and we walked to the cove he had been in the day before. He showed me what he had done to cause the loss, and where he thought it probably went. I began my search, and it wasn’t long before I had his wedding ring in my scoop. His assessments were correct about where it had gone which made the search very quick. I was happy to get it back to him, and it made for a nice day.

Bill contacted me about his lost ring. He had lost it that day, and was wondering if I would be able to help. I let him know I was available, but he was not going to be able to meet me there. I let him know that if he could give me directions to the area, I would go and do the search for him. He was able to do so, and I was off to do the search.

When I got there, I looked, and compared the photos he had sent, as well as going over the description he had given me of the site. I searched in one area with no luck, and then moved to another area near by that looked trafficked, and proceeded to search. After two passes, I found his ring, and sent him a photo to make sure this was the one I was looking for. He said it was, and we arranged to meet in Santa Monica for the return. For Bill this was a happy experience, because he was on vacation from New York, and did not want to leave his wedding ring in California
