Got a call and off I went! Lost the ring on the beach and was so upset! She said a prayer and after a 3 hour search, I was able to dig up her ring! So glad I could help! God Bless!!

Lost and found silver ring at Roblin Lake Ontario
Received a text from Hope late this afternoon about having lost her silver ring while swimming with her three young kids yesterday. This ring has immense sentimental value as it was given to her, from her fiancé, whom suddenly passed away last year. We met at the lake within the hour and both went in the water where she estimated having dropped the ring while playing with her kids. Although there were many signals, we were able to reunite her with her precious ring within 40 minutes or so. She was extremely happy and surprised to have her ring back on her finger. One of my most favorite recoveries thus far. Life is good.

Prayers have been answered!
It’s been a very long and emotional week. A kind samaritan loaned me her metal detector and after hours of searching with no luck, I hit the internet for help. I was able to find a website called The Ring Finders. Feeling apprehensive, but desperate about it, I sent a text to a couple specialists in Minnesota. Within moments, Paul texted me back saying he was loading up and would be to Mille Lacs within 2 hours.
I got him familiarized with the area and on day one he spent 4 hours looking. No luck. He was such an incredible, positive human that he reassured me, « Don’t worry! It hasn’t gone anywhere! It’s here. »
Day 2 he came up again, we both searched for hours, coming up empty handed. He was still positive – « don’t worry, we will find it! ».
Day 3 my husband and I took our pontoon out to the exact spot we were at during Flotilla – about 45 feet from what the GPS coordinates said on my Navionics App and where we were looking (sorry fisherman, GPS lies!). Paul was kind enough to loan us a metal detector until he came back out, so we searched for another few hours. No luck, except for a couple cigar stickers from our group – we knew we were close! I text Paul that night to tell him our findings, explaining we were off by about 45 feet, but I could help get him out to our spot when he came up again.
Day 4, Paul texts me, « are you going to be around today? », of course, I was ready to head out and look again for the ring. Being the positive person he is, he said « are you ready to hear what a ring sounds like ». Of course! Let’s find some gold! Moments later he texts a photo of my ring in his hand!!!!

Lost wedding ring, Beach Haven NJ, LBI, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder
It was a beautiful afternoon when I took a glance at my phone. I noticed I was tagged many times on a local Facebook page, where Jim had posted about his lost wedding ring on a local beach on LBI. His post was worded as a last chance effort to locate his wedding ring he lost the prior day in the sand in Beach Haven. Not long after Jim called me, and he basically wrote this off as a LONG shot of ever seeing his cherished wedding ring again. After getting all the details I explained I was at a family party and would be able to go later on around dinner time, and requested for him to leave some chairs set up to secure the location he believed the ring to be hiding. He agreed, but really didn’t seem to have much hope, as he had stated “its a long shot”. I got to the beach and with the beautiful warm temperatures inland, and the cold ocean water, the beach was socked in with heavy fog. When I got to the dune walkover I didn’t see any signs of the location he marked, but once I walked about half way to the ocean, I could vaguely see a lonely folded chair, on a damp and dreary beach. I turned on my machine, and walked in the direction of the chair. about 20 feet from the chair, in a direct path to the dune walkover opening, my metal detector let off a tone which I call BINGO !!!! And sure enough, Jims ring was in my sand scoop. I snapped a few pictures as usual, and sent them to Jim in a text. He responded in total amazement, as I just performed what he had considered impossible. Jim was just down the road having dinner at one of best locations in Beach Haven NJ, and agreed to meet next door in the Wawa parking lot. Another fantastic recovery in the books, doing what many write off as an impossible task. Its the heart felt expressions, and the challenge of the hunt that drive me.
Lost – Men’s Gold Wedding Band w/diamonds, PALM COAST, FL – FOUND!!!
Tom had been in his backyard and lost his gold wedding band. He thought he knew the exact area or at least within 6 or 8 feet. It is about a 45-minute drive from my home. Since it was so late in the day, and it was safe in his backyard, we decided that I would drive up the next morning.
On the drive up on Saturday, I talked with God about the ring and what it meant to Tom and his wife. Tom told me he had the ring for 35 years and didn’t really want to lose it now. I asked for His help.
I arrived at Tom’s home, and he took me to the back. The thick Saint Augustine grass was beautiful. I fired up the Minelab Manticore and got a hit immediately…it was a sprinkler head.
My second target was better. Digging around with my fingers revealed nothing. I got out my Minelab Pro-find (which is something like the wands they use in airports) and got a hit. I saw the gold and diamonds shining nearly six inches below tangled in the roots of the grass! Beautiful! Tom and his ring were reunited.

Another successful Florida gulf water ring revovery. What a difference a day makes. While enjoying the afternoon in the warm gulf water on his annual extended family vacation, Jim (who’se name has been changed so as to provide anonymity) suddenly noticed his deceased mother’s silver ring slip off his finger. A big shout out to Tony Schell who assisted in the recovery, 3 hours of searching uncovered the needle in the haystack. The ring had actually moved about 75 yards in 24 hours. Who you gonna call when things seem lost…remember, its only lost until you call!! Trust and go with God for there are no coincidences in His Kingdom.

Wedding ring lost in ocean, Seaside Park NJ, Recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder
Its a beautiful afternoon in one of New Jerseys finest beach towns, Seaside Park. The oceans were calm, winds light and variable, which made for a perfect day of shell collecting. Dylan and his daughter set out to do just that. Unfortunately all the absolutely beautiful shells they had gathered together, just couldn’t make up for what had just happened. They were down at the very bottom of the tide line, by the drop off, picking up just one last shell, when Dylan decided to rinse off his hands and call it a day. At that very moment he watched his ring slip off his finger, and drop into the sand, just as a wave was rolling in. Even thought the ocean was as calm as we will experience here, Dylan had absolutely no luck over the next two days locating his beautiful wedding ring. When he called me and told me it had already been two days, and that it was just about dead low tide where his ring slipped off, I didn’t have a good feeling about the recovery, at that moment. What he did have in his favor was the fact that it had been dead calm, and was going to continue that way for the next few days. I told Dylan I would be on the beach for the next low tide which was day 3 of his ring being lost on the bottom of the ocean. I was out at 4 AM scouring every inch of the location he had marked with his phone in google maps, with not even one signal. Unfortunately I had prior obligations the next 2 days and would not be able to return until the following morning low tide. It was 5 AM or so, and here I am wondering around in the ocean again, but this time in about thigh deep water my machine sounds off a perfect low tone that you can tell almost in an instant was Dylan’s ring. I missed it in the first scoop, then BINGO !!!! I had his ring after 6 full days in the ocean. Believe me friends, this situation almost never exists in the state of NJ, but luckily for him it did that week. I messaged him asking for a detailed description, because all we had mentioned was white gold in our other conversations. I was pretty positive this was his ring, and the pictures confirmed that. I texted him pics and he was in total shock. We agreed to meet a few hours later for the monumental return.
Lost Keys Found in Bloomfield Township Michigan
All The Keys to His Kingdom…..
…..were on Rhome’s belt, or so he thought. While working on a steep slope on his property multi-tasking, pruning this and trimming that his sprinkler system suddenly went off spraying the slope. As Rhome ran to get out of the spray he slipped and rolled down the slope. After recovering he noticed all his keys were missing. Looking frantically thru the thick plants, thorn and picker bushes revealed nothing. As I stood looking down the 20 foot plus deep slope and seeing the dicey terrain, I decided to use my metal detector with a deep seeking round coil to penetrate the thick foliage. Scanning the ground, I had to balance myself on rock outcroppings that were part of the landscaping. Nearing the bottom of the slope I got a metal signal. Leaning forward maintaining my balance I pulled aside some picker bushes and saw Rhome’s keys! With his back turned to me nearly 30 feet away and 20 feet up I rattled the keys. Spinning around his hands went into the air as I tossed up the keys. He was shocked they were so far away from what he remembered. Back on level ground he began to check the keys with the remote fobs. All was well and accounted for as we parted ways as he was excited and relieved to have found all of the keys of his kingdom!

Lost Tungsten Ring Underwater Found in White Lake Michigan
Reuniting….
…. with his lost wedding ring was all that was on Kyle’s mind the past week after it fell off in the water while stopping near a small island in White Lake to throw a football around with his son. Slipping on sharp rocks had them back in the boat fast but without the ring. Once I was in the chest deep water with my metal detector and snorkel mask, I started to grid search the area Kyle remember being. I too encountered sharp, slippery rocks and stirred up murky water. Sweeping the coil over the bumpy bottom I finally got a good metal signal. Holding my breath for a few seconds I reached down near a chunky rock and dislodging it I felt a circular shape in my fingers. Pulling it to the surface revealed Kyle’s ring! His friend with the boat spotted me holding it first and started yelling. Kyle whirled around in shock that his ring was found! Back in the boat I asked what’s better than a perfect union between a man and wife? A Reunion!……soon in the making!

Lost Gold w/Diamonds Pendant Underwater Found in Orchard Lake Michigan
Mom’s birthday…..
…I got a call from Ruby last Sunday and learned that it wasn’t just her birthday, but her son Sean’s family heirloom gold pendant snapped off his chain while playing water volleyball Saturday. I met Sean within 2 hours with his cousin and a watercraft. The high winds whipping across the lake caused waves that were quite large. While loading up my gear we got to chatting with the Oakland County Sherriff Marine officer. Since we had over 1/4 mile to reach the sandbar where the pendant was, the Sherriff parallelled alongside us to make sure we got to the location. Once there I started a grid search from where Sean recovered the broken chain. A few minutes later I got a good metal signal quite aways from the chain location. Using my handheld pin pointer the metal target was about 1-1/2 inches below the sand and waist deep water. Pulling it up I felt it was a round object and lifting it thru the water revealed Sean’s pendant! He saw it and fell over backwards into the water in amazement! This pendant is one of the most intricate and beautiful that I have ever recovered! We phoned the Sherriff to escort us back to the mainland and in the meantime, we facetimed Sean’s mom who was screaming in excitement that her father’s pendant was not lost forever! Thanking me for finding the pendant and making her day special, Ruby instructed Sean to hurry back for her birthday celebration!
