** Rob called me asking for help to check his lawn for a lost silver religious pendant. He had been given this pendant to repair for a friend. When  he returned home, he  believed it slipped from his hand as he was carrying bags from his car to the house.

He was calling me from work and could not meet me at his home in Bellflower, CA. His aunt Vicki would be there to meet me. She showed me where he normally parks his car. After a short time, I was able to find the pendant in the grass.

How to Find a Lost Ring , Ship Bottom NJ, LBI, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

It was very late in the evening when I heard my phone ding, it was the sound of an incoming text. The text was from Skylar, who had earlier in the day, lost 3 extremely precious rings, with great sentimental value. Unfortunately, the exact location information was also posted on a local Facebook page. I will ALWAYS make contact and request that information to be pulled down immediately, just for safe keeping. It was around 3 A.M., and when we finally made phone contact, Skylar agreed pulled down the location info, as I was going to head out to the location and attempt to recover the rings. Once I arrived and made just a few short sweeps of the area, my metal detector signaled a real nice high tone, which was consistent with the material her rings were made of. Sure enough, in the first scoop, BINGO, all 3 rings were safely in my possession, waiting to be returned, later that day. I sent Skylar a picture while we were on the phone, but prior to telling her I had the rings. I could tell by the tone of her voice when she opened the pic, she was in total shock. Its those moments that make this so rewarding. We arranged to meet half way to return her rings, talk a bit, and snap a few pics.

One recent sabbath day I had another successful ring recovery that was lost while playing cricket ball during a tournament in San Diego. Kaushik felt the ring slip off & called me just after it happened. He offered me a reward to help & I was there later when they had a break in the game for me to perform a grid search with my metal detector equipment.

This didn’t take long to unearth from the thick grass as he knew the approximate area and I know the sound of Gold rings! Kaushik was relieved & The team cheered when I found it.

I was contacted by Lynn who informed me her husband had lost his gold wedding ring while working in the front yard of the house. This is common during this time of year as many of my calls are for items lost doing end of the season cleanup. We made arrangements for me to come out the next day as I probably would have ran out of daylight by the time I arrived.

I arrived the next day and was greeted by Lynn and shortly after her husband Hal. Hal explained that he saw the ring come off his finger and heard it clink on something before it disappeared. They had been removing leaves one by one from the area where it was lost being careful not to throw the ring into the leaf bags.

I looked around and they had done a very good job of cleaning up the immediate area. I was thinking the ring was further back hidden in the bushes. I began to search and came up empty. There was an azalea bush in a metal cage to keep the deer away and it sounded just like the ring I was looking for. I informed Hal that we might have to take the cage down for me to find it. He asked if I would check the leaf bags before we did that in the off chance it was there before we removed the cage. I started to check the bags using my pinpointer…and inside the first bag I got a hit. We dumped the bag only to find out it was not the ring. I checked the other bag and went back up to the front yard in the area by the bushes. I asked Hal if we could take the cage down and started to look one more time prior to doing so. All of sudden I got a nice sound and on the exterior of the garden bed next to the brick edging was the ring! I was confident that I was going to find it but thought for sure it was going to be in the bushes. It was a relief to find it and before we took the cage off. Hal was extremely thankful and appreciative!

In talking to Hal he informed me that the ring was a family heirloom and had belonged to his grandfather who was a war hero that fought in both WWI and WWII. The ring was immensely important to him as an heirloom and wedding band and I was glad I was able to locate it. I spent the next little while speaking with Hal and Lynn about all sorts of things and could have probably spent the entire afternoon talking and not even realized it. It was great to meet such kind and generous people and return the very special ring to Hal.

I was contacted by Zach who had lost his gold wedding ring in the leaves in his backyard. He had been playing in the leaves when he noticed it was gone. We set up a time for me to come out and try to recover his ring. Zach was unable to be there but I met his wife who showed me where I needed to search. It was a pretty standard wooded area in the backyard with a ton on leaves. They had been moving leaves and looking around to no avail. I got started and determined it was not in the initial area where they thought it might be. I started to expand my search and suddenly got a nice hit. I removed some of the leaves and there was his ring. I texed Hanna and asked her to come outside and then showed her the ring. She was very happy that I was able to locate it and took pictures to show Zach were it was in the yard. Zach later texted me his thanks as well. I had been out a few times on some other searches and came up empty (however, in two of the cases the rings were found either while I was there or after I left – which is awesome!) so it was great to be able to locate Zach’s ring and return it. As always it was nice to meet and work with such kind and generous people and a pleasure to be of assistance.

Platinum Wedding Ring Recoverd after Boogie Boarding So Cal Beach

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Call The Metal Detector Man if you need help recovering a lost ring at the beach .. Call or text now .. 949-500-2136 .

*** Jordan called me believing his platinum wedding ring came off his finger while digging in the sand with his daughter.  He and his family are on vacation in Newport Beach, CA.

We met on the beach as the tide was rising. The sand castle was still accessible to detect with my water proof metal detector. After about a half an hour the ring was not found. I asked a few more questions, specifically if he had been swimming earlier in the day.

He had been boogie boarding a couple hours before discovering his ring missing.  Even though he didn’t think it was lost while in the water at low tide, I told him I would come back later that night to search the low tide. Six hours later I returned that evening.. BOOM! successful recovery. I have better success finding rings lost while boogie boarding than I have from people that lose their rings while surfing or body surfing.

Jason was amazed that his ring was actually found where he thought he had still had it on after boogie boarding.

Lost Gold Wedding Band in the Flower Bed-Found

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

I was contacted by Addison and she said her Grandfather had lost his wedding band in the yard while pulling weeds. It was a two and a half hour trip to Nashville from here, but well worth the trip. Peter said he was pulling weeds in the front flower bed for most of the afternoon and it was after dark, around ten oclock before he noticed his white gold band was gone. He went back out and looked for it but didn’t see it.  After pulling the weeds and putting them in a wheelbarrow he rolled it to the back end of the lot to dump it out, so I had several places to search. I started in the lawn area bordering the bed and frankly, that is where I expected to find it. Not finding it there I went into the bed and did find numerous peices of scrap aluminum and metal that was close to the surface.  About 3/4 of the way through the bed my Manticore locked onto a solid 15 in all directions and it was also close to the surface. The soil was soft so I just rubbed the surface area of the ground from over the signal and I saw the glint of white gold shining at me. That’s what I saw in the attached photo with my finger pointing at it. It was totally buried so he would not have seen it. The search time was around 30-40 minutes.

*** Terry and Dan were enjoying the day at Newport Beach. They were set up for the day with a shade canopy and everything for a special picnic planned by Terry. In the process of organizing the beach party, Terry realized her big diamond engagement ring of 23 years was missing from her finger.

Dan found my contact information with an internet search. I was able to meet them on the beach shortly after the call, because I live a couple miles from their location at Newport Beach.

Terry was devastated, upset because she had not left the ring at home,  as she normally does.  Also, she has worn this ring for over 23 years. After I found out she had not left this 50ft. x 50ft. area since she last saw it. I assured her this could be an easy recovery.

Soon after hearing her story I was able to find her awesome 4.2 ct. white gold diamond ring.

***Jason is here in Southern California with his family. His daughter is competing in a little league baseball competition. While waiting for the next game, they went to the beach. Jason went into the surf only waist deep when he got hit by a rouge wave. It happened so fast that he lost his  balance falling to his knees. When he stood up he knew right away his cherished  Texas A&M ring was not  on his finger.

He called me after somebody gave him my contact information. After discussing his situation, he told me he had a game to go join a couple hours. Even though it was high tide, I told him if he could stay in the location for an hour, I would not need him to complete a search. We met on the beach so he was able to show me the exact place the  loss happened. I knew it would probably be 3 to 4 hours for the tide to get low enough to find the ring. No problem, every search is different. I had the most important information for a successful search.

After 3 hours of grid searching the falling tide the ring was not showing.  it as getting dark and I had eliminated the whole lower low tide zone. i was preparing to tell myself it’s time to give up. I actually turned off my detector to begin the do the walk of shame. Then I saw an area where we had stood when Jason directed me to the spot he fell in the surf. BOOM ! the awesome gold  ring was there in the upper sand. when Jason got knocked down he arms swung around and his heavy gold ring (1 oz.)went 20 to 30 feet up toward  the top of the high tide mark. Another learning lesson for me. Jason does not know how close we came to calling thins “No Find”.

He met me the next evening  to pick up the awesome Aggie Gold Ring. we had  a  great reunion of Jason with his ring and he took the time to share a lot of the importance of the Aggie ring to it’s graduates. I consider it a privilege to recover and return these rings .” Gig Um “ That’s an Aggie ring greeting.

Lost wedding ring in the water, Astatula, Florida…Found with a metal detector by Florida ring finder!

Mike’s metal detecting service just for you!  Do not put it off or wait till tomorrow…time will work against you!  Especially if you have lost something in a public place!  We find lost rings, necklaces, pendants, cell phones, property stakes… anything metal!  Call or text…321-363-6029!

Erick wanted to help the folks at a local RV park in Astatula, Florida where a large tree had fallen across a narrow canal that was blocking access to Little Lake Harris.  The large oak tree had been dragged close to the shore which allowed Erick to use a rented chain say and after hours of intense labor, all that was left was the thick three foot section of the trunk in two and a half feet of water.  Erick’s daughter had been videoing the whole process and at the last few minutes of recording, Erick’s hands were very wet and sore and he went to shake the water off of his left hand and that action sent his beautiful wedding ring into the water just a few feet from where he was standing.

This is not the first call I have had from Erick to help him find his lost wedding ring!  On this occasion as soon as his ring hit the water he said, « I need to call Mike! »   It was late in the day and as I talked to Erick I could hear the panic and desperation in his voice.  So under an absolutely beautiful full moon I arrived at the location all geared up with wet suit, scuba boots and my trusty Garrett AT Max metal detector and waded into the cool dark water and began my search.  It took a few minutes and then I remembered Erick saying that his daughter had recorded the whole ordeal!  As soon as I saw the video and located the one lonely lily pad right next to where his ring hit the water….it look only seconds and my metal detector beeped loudly, indicating a shallow, strong, gold signal!

Erick was overcome with sentimental emotion and the bear hug that I received was evident how much his wedding ring meant to him and how much he loves his beautiful wife of 20 years!

Have you lost a ring..or phone..or keys..or chain..or something metal?  Call or text me ASAP at 321-363-6029 and lets talk about how we can help you!
