Lost Mt. Saint Marys College Class Ring On Lewes Beach Delaware Found

On 07/19/18, I received a phone call from Michael requesting my help in locating his lost Mt. Saint Marys Class ring on Lewes Beach. Michael said that he had decided to go for a swim and that he had taken his ring off of his finger, placed it inside of his baseball cap which he laid on the sand. Michael said that when he was done swimming he picked up his baseball cap and started to put it on his head forgetting that his ring was inside. Michael said that the ring fell out of his cap into the sand and that he was unable to locate it. I responded to Lewes Beach and Michael showed me the area where he had lost his ring which he had marked. I began my search at the marker that nearest to the water and as soon as I placed my coil to the sand I received a very loud tone in my headset. I took out one scoop of sand and there was Michaels ring.

Lost White Gold/Diamond Ring On Rehoboth Beach Found

On 07/16/18, I received a phone call as well as a email from Donna regarding the loss of her white gold wedding ring with diamonds that had been lost on Rehoboth Beach. Donna said that she and her husband had been sitting on the beach from 2:00 pm until about 5:15 pm and that when they got up to leave she noticed that her wedding ring was not on her finger. Donna said that her husband could show me the area of the beach where they had been sitting. I then contacted Donnas husband by his cell phone and he agreed to meet me at the beach to show me the area where he and his wife believed that the ring had been lost. Donnas husband told me that he had raked the sand in the area where they felt that the ring had been lost and that he was unable to locate the ring. Upon arriving at Rehoboth Beach, I began a search of the raked area for the lost ring and as I got to the end of the search area I was able to locate and recover Donnas lost ring.

Lost Silver & Gold Ring Found In South Bethany Beach Delaware

On 07/08/18, I received a call from Shanti requesting my help in finding her silver & gold ring that had been lost on the beach in South Bethany Beach Delaware. Shanti asked if I was available to come to the beach to search for her ring right away because the tide was coming in. I told Shanti that I would be at the beach in about twenty minutes to look for her ring. When I arrived at the beach, Shanti told me that she had placed her ring in a pocket of her shorts which had been laid on a beach chair. Shanti said that the beach chair and the shorts had been moved from their original location on the beach to a second location and that after the chair and shorts had been moved her ring was no longer in the pocket of her shorts. Shanti said that the ring could be in the sand at either of the two locations. I began the search for the ring at the original location and as I started to swing my detector the ring revealed itself buried at about an inch in the sand. The ring was recovered and returned to its rightful owner. Shanti was delighted to have her ring back.

Lost 1951 Georgetown University College Ring Found In Rehoboth Beach Delaware

On 07/01/18, I received a call from William regarding the loss of a 1951 Georgetown University Class Ring. The ring had been lost on the beach in the town of Rehoboth Beach Delaware. William requested my help in locating the ring. William was not sure if the ring had fallen off of his finger at the edge of the water while he was rinsing off his child or if it had been lost in the sand in the area that they had been sitting. I told William that I would be able to meet him at the beach later in the day so that I could search for his lost ring. Upon arriving at the beach and making contact with William I learned that the lost ring had belonged to his grandfather and that his grandfather had passed away earlier in the year. William, his father and I walked down to the beach where William showed me the area that he had been sitting on the beach and also the area where he had been in the water. Upon searching the area where William had been sitting I found nothing except a penny and a small piece of metal. I then turned my attention to the edge of the water at which time I located the ring in the wet sand buried about six inches down. I removed the ring from my sand scoop and handed it to William at which time he shouted out « he found my lost ring » and there was a cheer from the crowd on the beach. William asked me to come back to residence where he was staying because his mother wanted to thank me for finding the lost ring as the ring had belong to her father. Upon arriving at the residence Williams mother thanked me and told me that I was her hero.

Lost Mens Tungsten Carbide Wedding Band Found At Cape Henlopen State Park In Lewes, Delaware

On 05/14/18, I received a text message as well as an email from Adam regarding the loss of his Tungsten Carbide Mens Wedding Band At Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, Delaware. Adam said that he had been camping over the weekend with his cub scout pack at the State Park and on Saturday 05/12/18 he had lost his wedding band. Adam said that he had been sitting when he took his ring off and placed it in his lap. Adam said that he stood up forgetting that his ring was in his lap and that it was lost in the sand. Adam also sent me a detailed map of the area of the lost ring. I called Adam at which time I told him that I would look for his ring for him and would let him know if I was able to locate it. I then responded to the location of the lost ring and began a grid search for it. After about five minutes of searching Adams lost ring was located and recovered. I took a picture of the ring in the sand and sent it to Adam by text. I asked Adam if the ring looked familiar he said « yes » and identified it as his lost ring. I then mailed the ring back to Adam which he received about a day later. Below is an email sent to me by Adam the day after he had gotten his ring safely returned.

Hi Alan,

I can’t thank you enough for finding my wedding ring. I thought I would never see it again when I left Cape Henlopen on Sunday. When I got to work on Monday I felt I needed to at least make a call to the park office and report I lost it, not that I expected anyone to ever find it, let alone turn it in. I can’t remember the exact search terms I used when I was searching for the park office website, but I came across one of your posts on theringfinders.com. After reading through a few more posts I felt there was a pretty good chance you could find it, if no one else had stumbled upon it in the meantime. An email, a text message, a phone call and a few hours later you found my ring. I thought, wow, that was too easy. Well, you are obviously good at what you do and I wish I had known about the website sooner. I will be sure to share my experience and promote the website, a true « ring » saver!

Mans Gold And Diamond Ring Lost/Found Rehoboth Beach Delaware

On 01/28/17, I received a phone call from Bob regarding the loss of his Gold and Diamond ring that was lost in the dry sand on the beach in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Bob said that on the evening of 01/27/17, he was on the beach feeding the seagulls. Bob said that his ring was loose and that at one point while throwing food into the air for the birds his ring came off of his finger and landed in the sand. Bob said that he tried looking for the ring with a rake and that he was unable to find the ring. Bob asked if I could help him and I agreed to meet him at the beach to search for the ring. Upon meeting Bob at the beach, he showed me the area where he had lost his ring which was also marked by rake marks in the dry sand. I began a grid search of the area and after about five passes I located the ring and returned it to Bob who was very happy to have his property returned. The ring was very special to Bob because he had given it to himself as a retirement gift after he retired from a job in public service.

Lost Mans Platinum Wedding Band In Dewey Beach, Delaware Found

On 08/20/16, I received a call from a gentleman requesting my help in finding his platinum wedding band which had been lost while playing volleyball. The gentleman stated that he had been playing volleyball during the early morning hours of 08/19/16 on a beach volleyball court located in the town of Dewey Beach, Delaware. The gentleman stated that he had taken his wedding band off of his finger so that it would not come of his finger while playing volleyball and he placed it in the pocket of his shorts. The gentleman stated that when he finished playing volleyball he went to put his wedding ring back on his finger and found that it was missing from his shorts pocket. On 08/21/16, I responded to the location of the lost ring and began my search on the north side of the volleyball net where the gentleman had been playing. The ring was located about forty-five minutes into the search towards the outside area of the volleyball court about four inches down in the sand. After recovering the ring and letting the gentleman know that it had been recovered, I packaged the ring up and mailed it back to him on 08/22/16.

Lost Engagement Ring Found In The Bay At Ocean City, Maryland

On 08/21/16, I received a call from Tom requesting my help in locating an engagement ring that had been lost in the waters of the bay in Ocean City, Maryland. I learned that Tom and Michelle had been engaged on 08/12/16 and while visiting the Ocean City, Maryland area the ring had been lost in the bay on 08/20/16 at 6:30 pm. Tom and Michelle had ridden a jet ski from the residence that they were staying at over to a local restaurant, while sitting on the jet ski Michelle decided to place her engagement on her necklace chain for safe keeping. Before Michelle could get the ring on her necklace chain it slipped out of her hand and fell into the water. Tom made arraignments with the local restaurant to allow me to search for the ring on 08/22/16 at 7:00 am as the ring had been lost in the water just off of the beach of the restaurant. Upon arriving at the search location, Tom and Michelle took me to the area where the ring had been lost. The ring had been lost in about two feet of dark murky water right in the area where  jet skis had been docked. After Tom pointed out the area of the lost ring I placed four markers in an area measuring about six feet by six feet. In that area I recovered four beverage pull tabs, during a search I dig all targets just in case. I also showed Tom and Michelle all four tabs as I recovered each one. I then started to work the area of deeper water away from the beach at which time Tom told me that he felt the that ring had been lost closer to the beach. I adjusted my search at which time I began to search the outside area of where I had placed the first marker. Just as I began to search next to the first marker the sound that I was waiting for came through my headset. I then recovered the ring and as I pulled it out of my sand scoop I revealed the prize to Tom and Michelle who were truly grateful for the return of the ring. Congratulations to Tom and Michelle on their engagement. seecrets-oc-md.

Lost Mens Platinum Wedding Band Found On Lewes Beach In Delaware

On 07/08/16, I was contacted by a gentleman regarding the loss of his Platinum « Jeff Cooper » wedding band with a Diamond that was lost on Lewes Beach in Delaware. I was told that he was in about two to three foot of water when his daughter reached up to grab his hand at which time she accidentally pulled his wedding band off of his finger and it fell into the water. The gentleman stated that he was no more then ten feet in the water from the shore. The gentleman told me that on the day and time that his ring was lost that he believed that it was mid high tide. Trying to make the best of the lowest tide possible I responded to Lewes Beach on the morning of 07/12/16 at about 8:10 am. I found that the low tide water line was about ten to twelve feet from the high tide water line. I began my grid search after marking an area that was about ten feet wide from the low tide water mark up to the high tide water mark by about twenty feet long. About half way through my grid search just inches above the low tide water line I received a good tone in my headset. I took one scoop out of the wet sand and dumped it on the beach. About half way through the mound of the scooped sand I located the lost ring. The rings owner was from out of town, I made contact with him to let him know that his wedding band had been found and also to find out what arraignments he wanted to make with me regarding the return of his ring. The rings owner was very happy that his ring had been found and he requested that I keep it safe until it could be returned to his wife nine days later. The ring was returned safe and sound on 07/21/16.

Lost Ring On Lewes Beach In Delaware Found

On 06/16/2016, I was contacted by a gentleman regarding the loss of a Platinum wedding band belonging to his wife that had been lost in the sand on Lewes Beach. The gentleman indicated that his wife had been digging in the sand at the time that the ring was lost. The gentleman asked if I could assist in finding the lost ring, I told him that I would be at the location of the lost ring in about fifteen minutes. After arriving at Lewes Beach I made contact with the gentleman and he showed me the area on the beach where the ring was lost in the sand. I began a grid search of the area and on my second pass the ring was located, recovered and returned to its rightful owner. IMG_1560
