Yasmina’s Sentimental Gold Pendant

Restaurant Server So Relieved to Have Her Beloved Pendant Returned!

BRIAN RUDOLPH, LOST ITEM RECOVERY SPECIALIST (LAND, WATER, SAND, HOUSES & VEHICLES) WILL FIND YOUR LOST KEEPSAKE! CALL ASAP (301) 466-8644!

Being a part of THE RING FINDERS is not just a helpful tool to the thousands who contact us via email, text or call, but in addition to the common channels used to find us, sometimes we find the lost items and return the priceless keepsakes to the owners before they even contact THE RING FINDERS member in their local area! Let me explain.

Because those of us who are members of THE RING FINDERS are naturally inclined to keep our eyes wide open and our detectors moving swiftly, we occasionally stumble upon missing items that people lose even before the connection is made with that potential client. We may be metal detecting on the beach or in a park and lo and behold, we find a piece of jewelry that had been recently dropped by someone who was walking their dog or playing a sport on the field. Because we recognize just how much these items mean to those who lose them, we care enough to go to whatever means possible to return the keepsake to the rightful owner.

This very situation happened to me just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. While I was dining in a pizza restaurant in Montgomery Village, Maryland, I stopped in the restroom just prior to me leaving the place. I happened to look down and see a lovely gold heart pendant with a CZ diamond in the center. It was resting on the floor next to the right side of the toilet. I thought it was quite odd that a lady’s pendant ended up on the floor in the men’s room. I logically concluded that the owner of the pendant was most likely a female employee at the restaurant because under normal circumstances a woman would not be using the men’s room. I thought, ‘Perhaps a female worker came inside to scour the place and she accidentally broke her chain in the process, causing the pendant to separate and fall to the floor’.

I took a paper towel and carefully picked up the pendant. Then, I took another piece of paper, placed it in the sink and rested the pendant over the paper towel to carefully wash it clean. Finally, I dried it off before eventually placing the heart inside my pocket.

As soon as I came out of the restroom, I made my way towards the front and immediately grabbed the attention of one of the restaurant’s long time servers, a 10-year employee named Yasmina. I asked her if she could check with the management team to see if anybody lost a piece of jewelry sometime that day. The moment that I made that request, her face lit up as if something wonderful had just happened to her! She excitedly responded by asking me, “Did you happen to find a heart pendant with a stone in the middle?!” I surprisingly replied, “Yes, how did you know about the missing pendant?! Did a customer mention that they lost it recently?” Yasmina answered, “No! I’m the one that lost the pendant a couple days back! I don’t believe this! I’ve been looking all over for it and I have been devastated that it fell off of my chain! I thought it was lost forever! I’m certain that this must be the pendant!” As she shared her account, she showed me a chain that was well secured around her neck where the pendant was once fastened to.

I carefully reached into my pocket and pulled out the piece of jewelry and showed it to Yasmina who happened to be one of my favorite servers. Her eyes widened even more as she exclaimed, “You found it! You found it! You found my missing pendant! I can’t thank you enough! This is wonderful!”

Apparently, this yellow 14 karat gold heart with the lovely stone in the center was given as a wedding gift to Yasmina 12 years earlier by her aunt. She was completely horrified that she had lost the pendant because it meant so much to her.

The restaurant server first noticed that the pendant was gone when she had arrived home from work two days prior (Friday night). The chain that held the pendant was broken but had still been dangling around Yasmina’s neck. She frantically looked everywhere around the house and in the car, but to no avail. That’s when she returned to work the next day and looked everywhere in the restaurant but she still couldn’t find it. It was at that point that she realized that it was most likely gone forever. Yasmina felt very depressed knowing how much this gift meant to her (representing her wedding day and how much she loved her aunt who gave the sentimental keepsake).

When I asked the pizza restaurant employee to guess where I found the missing piece of jewelry, Yasmina immediately guessed that it was found in the restroom! Just as my suspicions proved to be correct, she had been cleaning the bathroom that Friday night and somehow the chain broke loose, and as a result, the pendant fell to the floor! Although she went looking everywhere for the lost item, even searching in the bathrooms, her eyes just didn’t zero in on it!

We both couldn’t believe that it had been on the floor for more than 48 hours and nobody had picked it up in all that time! I was so happy to have found the piece of jewelry and the rightful owner! This recovery meant quite a bit to me because the pendant happened to be owned by one of my favorite servers! Yasmina kept thanking me over and over again and I was overjoyed with happiness, knowing that I could return something as precious as this back into her life!

The ironic part of this whole story is that I had been working on a ring search recovery story while I was eating my dinner that night in the restaurant. Yasmina inquired about what I was doing and I shared more about THE RING FINDERS and how special it is to help people find their lost possessions! Little did we know that 30 minutes later, right there in her workplace, I would end up recovering Yasmina’s very own beautiful gold heart pendant that she had earlier concluded that it was gone forever! With much happiness, this ring finder proved her sad conclusions to be wrong!

Lost Engagement Ring and Wedding Band Found Brigantine NJ

  • from North Wildwood (New Jersey, United States)

I received a message on my Facebook page late last night from Sheyla who lost her wedding band and engagement ring on the beach in Brigantine, NJ earlier in the day.  I spoke to her shortly after I received her message and we made plans to meet early this morning to look for the rings. After we met and talked about where the rings might be, I started my search and within 20 minutes the rings were found. It just so happens that today is their 8th wedding anniversary, so it was all the more special when it was recovered!

Wedding Set Recovered in Long Branch by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call from fellow Ring Finder Matty St Germain asking if I could go to Long Branch for a recovery. He gave me the number to Andrew who was on the beach for Labor Day with his family, and mom and dad. Seems his mom after getting settled in took off her rings to put lotion on and placed them on her lap and got distracted. Went to move her chair then remembered her rings but it was to late. 3 rings totaled but they could only find 1 sifting through the sand with their hands. He was on his way to get a rake to see if that would help when they found Matty on Ring Finders and called out to him. He couldn’t make it so he called me. Andrew’s father met me and took me down to the beach where they were sitting and showed me where mom was sitting and where they found the first ring. I checked from the chair out to the area they found the first ring and within a foot of where that one was I found the other two. Please excuse the photos, in a rush I left on phone in my car and had to have the dad take the pictures for me. All in all a Happy Ending for all and they can go and enjoy the rest of the holiday.

Jackie contacted me to come out to the beach and help find her husband Jose’s white gold wedding band. Jose had placed his ring on a beach towel and not knowing Jackie picked up the towel and the ring went flying into the sand.

This was a very quick hunt since they knew the general area of the lost ring. After digging a couple of targets, I had his ring in my scoop.

Jackie and Jose were super happy with the ring finders service.

Wedding Set recovered in Ocean Grove NJ by Dennis Burlingame

Was just sitting down to eat and I got a call from fellow Ring Finder Matty St Germain asking if I could run to Ocean Grove to look for a lost wedding set. Said I would and loaded up the detector and headed out. I called Dascha and told her I was on my way and asked where to meet her. She was on the beach enjoying the day with her husband Gregg. She wanted to go down to the water and handed Gregg her rings to hold on to so not to lose them. Gregg slipped them on his pinkie finger but he also just put on lotion. He got up and walked down to the water edge to be with Dascha and then noticed the rings were missing. Dascha went on google and found Ring Finders and called Matty but he couldn’t go so he reached out to me. They were waiting for me on the beach and with luck would have it, it started to rain. I asked Gregg to mark the path he took to walk down to the water and told them no need to stay in the rain because I didn’t know how long it was going to take. They took their chair and headed to the car and I figure the best place to start was where they were sitting. Started detecting around where the chair was and first target was her band, detected a little more in the area and not to far was her engagement ring. I started to walk off the beach and called them and she was still on the boardwalk because Gregg was getting the car. She couldn’t believe I found them already and was so glad and grateful to have her rings back where they belonged. Great Happy Ending to a rainy afternoon.

Wedding Band recovered in Long Branch NJ by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call from Fellow RingFinder Matty St Germain asking if I could do a recovery in Long Branch because he was busy and couldn’t make it. I called Katie and told her i’d be able to help her and should be to the beach club she was at within a half hour. Katie met me at the entrance of the club and took me to the spot she was sitting when she lost her ring. Seems she took off her ring to put lotion on and placed it on a towel on her beach chair and forgot it was there. The towel was taken off the chair and the ring went flying. While searching for the ring in the sand someone mentioned Ring Finders seeing Matty and I have been to the club a few times before, and they kinda knows us. I started searching and the first target turned out to be trash but after moving over a few feet I heard the tone I was hoping for and said your ring should be right here. I pushed the sand away with my foot and there was her ring. She beat me reaching down to get it ,she was so excited to see it again. So glad I was able to return her ring to her. Always a great feeling. She told me I saved the day. Another Happy Ending….

Promise Ring Recovered In Surf City, LBI NJ by Dennis Burlingame

While at home I got a referral from fellow Ring Finder Dave Milsted about a lost ring in Long Beach Island, Surf City. He couldn’t make it and reached out to me to see if I wanted to go. While enjoying the beach Ali’s ring slipped off her finger in the area she was sitting. They were leaving the area the next day and she was heart broken thinking she might have to leave without her sentimental promise ring given to her. I told her it would take an hour to get to her and she was fine with that. I gathered up my detector and headed to LBI. She met me at the house she was at and led me to where they were sitting on the beach. They tried to find it themselves sifting through the sand but had no luck. She showed me the area she felt the ring was in and she was right on the mark. Just a few sweeps of my detector I heard the only signal in that area and sure enough there was her ring. A nice gold arrow that wraps around her finger. She couldn’t believe how fast I found it and was so relieved to have it back. I was so glad to reunite her with her beloved ring.

Gold Bracelet Recovered from Ice Plant

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

Call Surf City Ring Finder 714-944-0555

Alex was throwing a football when his gold bracelet came off his wrist and went flying into the ice  plant at the beach. The only problem was he didn’t see where it went.

When I arrived there was a guy with a rake and Alex had a cheap metal detector that the lifeguards let him borrow. I detected the sand around the area with no luck and then started to search the ice plant.

The area was rather large but after a while as I was swinging my detector I spotted the gold chain right before my detector went over it. It was all clumped together in a small pile.

Alex was super excited to get his bracelet back.

Brennon called me and asked if I could help find his wife Casssie’s wedding band. Cassie took off her engagement ring and wedding band and placed them on her sweater when she went into the water at the beach.

It wasn’t until they got home she realized she lost her rings. They headed back to the beach and with the help of others they found the engagement ring but couldn’t find the wedding band.

When I arrived it only took me a few minutes and I found Cassies ring. They were very thankful for the ring finder service.

Wedding band recovered in Rumson NJ by Dennis Burlingame

Got a message from Wendy and Paul asking for my help in finding Paul’s wedding band. A few day ago we had a bad storm come through our area. When it was over they went outside to start clearing up their yard of leaves and down branches. Afterwards while watching television Paul noticed his wedding band was missing. They went out to try to find it but had no luck, Wendy posted signs around asking anyone who might see it while walking by please let them know. Family and neighbors came out to help look. Still nothing. Someone told her to look up Ring Finders and she found me. I went out the next day and met them. They showed me around their property and I went to work. I checked all the leaf piles in the road thinking it came off in them, Checked the back then side yard, then walked the whole edge of the main yard. Still no luck. Paul came out to offer me a drink so I asked some more questions to go by. He was using a leaf blower most of the time but I asked where he was when he was just using his hand to pick up branches. He pointed to an area and I went there and within maybe 10 minutes I finally had his ring. It was pushed into the dirt some most likely from everyone walking around the yard looking for it. I called Wendy and asked her to come outside and she couldn’t believe I found it. She first said it was going to be like a needle in a haystack. I’m so glad I was able to reunite Paul with his ring. Another Happy ending for everyone.
