Yesterday afternoon I received a call from Kaitlyn she said that her husband had lost his wedding band in the sand while throwing a football on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey.
After meeting Anthony where he was and asking him a few questions. I started the search for the ring in a grid pattern after about 10 minutes
of searching the ring was found. Anthony and his family could continue to enjoy there vacation in Ocean City, NJ.
Christina and Scott recently got married this past Memorial Day Weekend, and today was their first day on the beach in Ocean City, NJ as a married couple! I received a call from Christina late in the afternoon yesterday who told me that her husband lost his wedding band while applying sunscreen after a swim in the ocean. It was a joy to recover the lost ring within minutes of searching so the newlyweds could relax and enjoy the rest of their vacation.
On the official first day of summer Viola lost her platinum wedding band in the ocean while tossing a football on the beach in Cape May, NJ. After realizing that her ring had fallen off in the water, she saw a fellow metal detectorist combing the beach who referred her to me. We set a time to meet and search for the ring. The search began in waist deep water in the ocean and after a quick but though search, the ring was found 20 minutes later! The ring was recovered and returned to its owner!
Nicole dropped her ring in the sand when she attempted to put it in her bag for safekeeping today while on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey. It wasn’t just an ordinary ring that she lost, it was her beautiful new
engagement ring that she just received 2 weeks ago. She searched around where she was sitting but was unable to find it, so she called one of her friends for help. Her friend searched the internet and found

« I had such an amazing experience today when John and his friend Rich came to look for my ring! I had lost all hope I’ve had someone else come to search for it before and I had such low expectations. I was just going to try it as a last resort but gosh am I glad I did! Jennifer was on the beach in North Wildwood, NJ this afternoon when she had the misfortune of having her engagement ring and wedding bands slip off of her finger into the ocean during high tide while helping one of children with a towel. I met with Anna, Jennifer’s mom, and started a search after asking several questions about the lost rings. After about 25 minutes detecting in the ocean, the engagement ring was found approximately 6 inches deep. The other 2 rings were found in the surf just minutes later approximately 25 feet from the engagement ring. The rings are very sentimental to Jennifer, so she and her family were overwhelmed when they were recovered. Thanks goes out fellow Ring Finder Jeff Lagg for the referral.

I received an email, then a call a few minutes later from David who told me that he lost his platinum wedding band in waist-deep water in the ocean in Ocean City, New Jersey. David expressed how sentimental the ring was to him and thought it would be lost forever in the ocean. But the ring found its way into the scoop and was returned!

I lost my wedding ring in the Atlantic Ocean this afternoon at 1:45pm.
Unfortunately, Donna asked if I wanted her to hold it for me on the walk down and I said something to the effect of, « Nah. It’s not going to fall off. »
So about 2 minutes in the water and it falls off. I never felt that attached to it other than it being my wedding ring. Until I lost it and I felt terrible. Maybe some of that was the feeling that Donna somehow knew that it was going to happen. We looked for awhile but there was no way we were finding it. Every bump on the floor turned out to be a rock or shell. I paced around for a little bit and then decided just to go home. Then I wondered if there was a site I could post a photo of my ring just in case someone ever found it.
That’s when I stumbled on theringfinders.com. I sent a message on Facebook (2:45pm) and about 5 minutes later, John Favano sent me his phone number to give him a call. At 3:07pm (just checked my phone log) we briefly talked. So now, I was waiting on a guy that may or may not show up and may or may not find a wedding ring in THE Atlantic Ocean if and when he got here. Then, my phone rings, John says that he is at the beach and to come meet him. We are off to a good start all things considered.
All week, we were talking about how small the beach has become over the years but walking over the dune I never remember it seeming so big. There was no chance we were finding it. At least when it is lost for good, I will have the satisfaction that I at least I tried everything I could think of. Donna and I are at the beach with John pointing out where I am pretty sure I lost it. Thanks to the dude that made sand dolphins btw.
John is walking a grid from the beach all the way into the water about chest deep. From the beach into the water…back to the beach and then back into the water. He stopped to dig a few times but nothing. Then he looks up and asks me what my ring looks like. This dude found my ring less than 4 hours after it fell off.
That is unbelievable! Call John Favano!
