Ring Recovered at Robinson Island

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

I was called to find a ring on Robinson Island late Saturday afternoon the day before Easter. The ring was lost in the water near the their boat when the owner threw the anchor to set a stern line in about waist deep water. By the time I got there the party and most of the boats had gone home, so it was easy to maneuver while searching except for the pop tops and pull tabs. When you’re hunting jewelry you can’t depend on knowing the metallurgy so you have got to dig everything. I wasn’t counting but I’ll bet I dug over 100 pull tabs. That said when I finally located the ring the data from my detector was unmistakable. Ring was recovered, we got back to the dock with a little sun left and the the family was all happy.

Salty Brine State beach, Narragansett , Rhode Island ,2 diamond gold wedding and engagement rings, returned 2025

  • from Old Saybrook (Connecticut, United States)

July 4, 2025, Ambar a lifelong Rhode Islander never takes her jewelry off at the beach. While playing football with her sons at the water’s edge got hit by a wave that washed her diamond gold wedding and engagement rings off her fingers and disappeared into the ocean. she reached out to a friend of mine Gary who is a local ring finder but was on vacation and he recommended me. We often work as a team and cover and help each other as needed. She called me that night and I was there at 6am before the holiday beach crowds started arriving at the beach. She met me there with her brother-in-law and we walked to the spot on the beach where they had been playing. Considering there was a pretty bad storm that suddenly passed through the area over night I started a gridded search of the area and immediately got a great signal at the water’s edge just as the tide was coming in. I scooped up the target and brought it up to her and with the aid of my pin pointer I saw the glint of gold and diamonds in the sand and handed her the engagement ring. One found was a very good sign, I knew the other had to be close to the first one. The incoming tides and wave action was making things a bit more difficult. I was getting a lot of interference and false signals. After calibrating my machine, I got a weaker but still a solid target signal. I scooped up signal and laid it down next to her.  A few seconds later using the pin pointer a diamond wedding band was now popping out of the sand. It took only about ten minutes to get both rings back on her fingers. It actually took me an hour to get there but it was worth every minute to see how happy I made her feel.  Her brother-in-law was stunned and could not believe I was able to recover them. He then took my phone and started taking pictures of the happy occasion. As we were leaving, she excitedly was telling all the incoming beach goers waiting in long lines of our success. I called Gary to thank him for the referral and together as a team we brought the rings back home. Thanks to St Anthony and praise God we were successful. Miracles do happen and have faith and never give up hope. we see miracles every day.

Lost Ring Found in the woods

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

This nice lady lost her beautiful wedding ring in the woods across the street from her home. But she wasn’t sure where. I searched using a detector with a small coil so I could check in weeds, brush and around trees. It took about an hour to find it in some weeds it fell into, out of sight, next to a pine tree. The detector was telling me right where it was but I couldn’t see it. It had fallen down to soil level in a tight clump of weeds. She couldn’t believe I found if. I wa happy too because it could have been anywhere. It was quite different from a beach search.

Ring found two weeks after lost

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

Found this ring while looking for another. Asked around and heard of a fellow who lost a ring about two week before. Was able to get his name and contact him for a return. He sent me a picture of his lost ring and that is indeed the one I found. Ring was mailed back to him. Some times we just get lucky.

Last evening I received a text message from Meg around 10:30pm. Meg explained that she is staying at Angel Of The Sea B&B here in Cape May. She was sitting on the 3rd floor balcony, taking in the evening with her husband when her wedding ring slipped off her finger and rolled off the porch falling into the flower beds / shrubbery below. Meg said that she had been searching with her husband for a while and would really appreciate some assistance. I took the short ride over from home and met up with the couple. After searching for about 20 minutes I was able to recover her ring at the base of some bushes beneath the porch. Meg and her husband were very relieved to have the ring back! Another happy couple!

Lost Gold & Diamond Ring & Cellphone, Found! Ocean City, New Jersey By Ringfinder Jeffrey Laag

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)
Received a call from Andrew Monday evening. Andrew explained that he and his family had quite an adventure unfold Sunday afternoon. While Andrew, his brother, and dad (Jack) were at their boat slip, Jack knocked his sons cell phone into the water. Jack jumped in and dove down to retrieve the phone and when he came back up he struck his head on the prop of his boat, this required a trip to the ER to have the wound stapled closed. During the ordeal Jack also lost his wedding ring of over 35 years! Made plans to meet up with Andrew at low tide yesterday. After moving a floating dock over, to work off of, I managed to recover both the phone and ring. Jack was elated to have his ring back! and sons phone too (which was still on and working) lol……. Another happy family!
See Jacks Testimonial Below:
“This past Sunday was a day that I would like to soon forget!
I have a small condo and boat slip at Harbor House Condos in Ocean City. While cleaning my boat I knocked my son’s phone into the bay. I did not know what else to do so I tried diving down to find his phone. little did I know that while doing this my wedding ring fell off. To make matters worse, I hit my head on the motor causing a 3 inch gash which needed 8 staples to close the wound. I can honestly say that the pain in my head was not nearly as bad as the pain I felt losing my wedding ring that I wore for 35 years. At this point after several failed attempts and a head injury, I knew this was a job for a someone that knows what they are doing which was not me. Not knowing where to turn, my son and daughter-in-law called the Ocean City Police and they recommended Jeffery Laag from Lost Ring & Jewelry Recovery Service. Jeff answered the phone and let them know very confidently, that he could find the ring and the phone. He showed up to the location the next day and within 30 minutes found both.
I cannot say enough about this service. Without Jeff I would not have my ring back! If I were to rate his service, I would without a doubt give him a 5 out of 5 stars.”

Platinum Wedding Band Lost While Cutting Yard-Found

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

Kevin had contacted me and said he had lost his wedding band in the yard while cutting the grass. They had looked for it for a couple of days but the weeds in that area were quite tall and finding a ring visually was out of the question. I found the ring in an area where the weeds were around eight inches tall. Total search time was around an hour.

Gold Wedding Band Lost Right After Wedding-Found!

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

Linsey called me and said they had held a wedding venue in their yard for their daughter and son-in-law. Her yard was quite large and her son-in-law had lost his ring right after the wedding. She had purchased a metal detector but struck out.  Because of the size of the yard I set up a grid search and it took me all of two hours before I found it. Her daughter and son-in-law were out of town at the time.
