Found Mans 40th Birthday Ring in Post Falls Idaho

Picture this, you turn 40 years old and your family gives you a beautiful ring to remember that day. As fast as that memory was created it was erased by the memory of the ring falling off and making that sound that only gold can make when it falls through the snow and hits the ground. After hours of digging and renting a metal detector this man named Alex became just as lost as his ring. He went home to shovel the new snow from that day and then had to tell his wife that he didn’t find it again. Just then, a friend told his wife about my post on Craigslist. Alex gave me a call,  the journey to the location took place, my Whites Spectra V3i coil passed over that ring, and I am now writing about another happy ending to a Ring Finders recovery.  Watch my shaky video for the excitement footage :

Lost ring in Kaplan, LA – Found

Ashley called on December 22. Her husband, Rahn,  lost his wedding band, while working in the yard. Carrie and I were in California, spending time with the grandkids, so we set the 28th for the hunt. We arrived back from California and went the next day to FIND THE RING. Rahn had worked in the back yard but security camera footage showed the ring still on his finger as he left to do front yard work. He next went to the front yard to clean grass from three grated yard drains. The grass was tossed to the side and the ring may have left his finger with that motion. Carrie and I each hunted around a separate drain with no luck. I went to the third and final drain. The metal grating had caused problems searching the others but I got a strong signal a foot from this drain, far enough for the metal grating to not interfere. Buried in the grass was the prize. Ashley was beyond excited. It was a pleasure reuniting Rahn with his beautiful ring. Thank you for your generous reward. This allows us to continue providing our services.

Lost Ring In Prairieville, LA – Found

Rosetto called me on Tuesday. She had lost her husband’s diamond and tungsten carbide wedding band the day before. They had searched the yard without success. I questioned her on the loss. “Where do you think the ring is?” “It’s either in our yard, the neighbor’s yard or in the tree.” “The tree??” “I was really mad at him”.  Being 2 hours away, I told her I’d look at my work schedule and the weather and get back to her. I found an opening on Friday with neither rain nor work. Carrie and I arrived at Rosetto’s house and had her throw flagged test washers. All three washers hit the tree branches and fell within a foot of each other. Within 10 minutes of searching, Carrie had a good signal (80 on the AT PRO) and found the ring close to where the washers dropped.  Another very happy client. We accepted a generous reward after telling her, “We are  lucky you throw like a girl.“

Lost wedding band in Youngsville, LA. – Found

Tim called me on a Saturday morning as I was heading to the health club. I traded the gym bag for my detector bag and was on site in 20 minutes. He had lost his wedding band in the back yard 2 days before while playing with his daughter. He had put the ring in his pocket with his cell phone. He took out his cell twice in different areas of the yard. The areas where he removed his phone from his pocket were the first searched. After finishing the second area, I started a whole yard grid search. I had a not-so-great hit so I marked my grid line and searched the hit. Nothing there. As I turned back to pick up my marker, the ring was on top of the grass a foot from the marker. As I was on my knees, being that close to the grass made the ring a lot easier to spot.

Wedding Ring Lost in Central Louisiana – Found

I received an email from Jason saying that his wife, Patrice, had lost her platinum engagement ring while playing with her kids in their back yard. She then bought a detector and tried to find it, without success. He was asking about my services and availability. I was able to start the hunt the next morning at 7:30. Patrice grabbed one of my detectors and helped with the search. The search area was not very large. It included a fenced back yard, a strip of un-fenced land bordering a lake and part of the neighbor’s back yard. About halfway through a grid search in the fenced back yard, I had a good hit and saw the ring, visible when the thick grass was moved. I was happy that the lake had not accepted the ring during their time fishing.

White gold ring recovered at 13,840′ on Mt Bierstadt

On October 1st David made his first attempt at climbing one of Colorado’s 14ers (a m0untain who’s peak is over 14,000′ above sea level), he made this attempt with his friends Luke and Elizabeth. The weather was perfect and things were going well until they neared the summit, that is when altitude sickness hit David. Altitude sickness consists of headaches, dizziness, confusion and in more extreme cases nausea. David knew that even though the summit was within sight that he could not make it so he sat down to rest while Luke and Elizabeth summited the mountain. On their way down David noticed that his wedding band was missing. The group checked their photos of their hike and the last photo of David on a saddle near where they currently were standing he had his ring on. So they knew that his ring had to be within a couple hundred feet or so but hidden amongst the boulders. Luke and Elizabeth returned to the spot where David had stopped and searched for the ring, no luck. On their way down the mountain David’s altitude sickness continued and add to that the anxiety of losing his wedding band.

David contacted me that following week and arranged for me to meet up Luke and Elizabeth to retrace his steps back up the mountain and search for his ring. I brought with me two of my lightest detectors to take up the mountain to search for David’s ring. The hike is 3 1/2 miles with a vertical gain of over 2,800′ to the summit. We met at 7:30 AM and began our hike/ climb, the first mile and a half were pretty easy the next couple of miles were taxing. When we reached the area where the photo of David with his ring still on, I broke out my Teknetics T2 and gave that to Luke. I spent a few minutes with him teaching him the sounds of the machine and how to properly swing the machine. Elizabeth continued up the mountain to the point where David had stopped his climb. Upon reaching her I set up my Minelab GoFind 60 and spent a few minutes teaching Elizabeth to detect and the sounds of the machine. I then continued my climb and summited the mountain (it would have been a shame to make it that far and not summit). When I returned to the area where Elizabeth was searching she handed me the detector and she began pulling snow from the areas that were deeper than the detector could reach. Luke had made his way up the mountain and was searching this area as well. After over a half hour of searching we decided to start making our way down the mountain. Just then Luke comes around the rock that David had sat on and saaw the wedding band peeking out of it’s hiding spot. High fives were given and several photos were taken. I checked my GPS and the ring was recovered at 13,840′ above sea level.

Lost custom gold wedding band in the ocean at Kits Beach, Vancouver…Found!

I got a call from a young man who told me that he lost his custom gold wedding band in the ocean while trying to learn how to paddle board.

The water was rough that day and he had a hard time getting up on the board, he kept falling into water and he remembered that it was waste deep and a sandy bottom.

That helps me a lot as when I went down there on the slope at low tide there was a lot of rocks and further out there was the sand. He told me that he didn’t know when the ring came off his finger and that makes it hard to narrow down the area.

He put me in an area of about 70 yards wide and about 60 yards long…That is pretty huge when you’re in water and looking for something as small as a ring but I love the search!

After listening to his story many times I desided to start the search out front of where he entered the water and I went up to waist deep and started searching up and back from waist deep to ankle deep and after the 5th gridline and only an hour I hit a strong loud & proud signal and I was thrilled to see the gold in the scoop!

Lost diamond ring at Spanish Banks Beach…Found after 2 days!

I was at work when I got a call from a young lady who asked if I could help her find her lost diamond ring. I asked where it was lost and when it was lost and she told me it was lost at Spanish Banks beach and that it was lost for 2 days and that she’d cried for 2 days.

She said that she happened to read a story online about a member of TheRingFinders and thought that she had to reach out and give it a shot.

I explained that there was a chance that the beach machine could have scooped it up or another detectorist could have found it as it was lost for 2 days.

That being said I was excited to go to the beach after working a 14 hour day because for me this is what relaxes me the most…A good treasure hunt!!

It was 11 PM and the young lady sent me a google earth map of the location where she’d lost the ring.

She said it was in front of the volley ball court # 3 or #4 I started my search and after searching all of court 3 & 4 I had no ring…Could have someone already found it? maybe or maybe she was a little off with her directions.

I expanded my search to court 5 & 6 and I found the ring minutes later in front of court 6 where she was sitting.

I was so excited and sent her a text message with a picture of the ring and a note that said…No more crying!

Quick recovery this evening. 4 Rings total, 1 White gold birthstone ring, 2 Platinum engagement / wedding bands, 1 Silver ring. They were on the beach 2+ days. Recovered to the relief of the bride.

Out camping with the family this past weekend and just happened to get a call for a lost wedding ring at the very same campground that we are staying at. After a brief search, recovered the diamond and white gold ring.

Every married ladies nightmare came true today when I lost my engagement ring and wedding bands on the beach! I went to lather my daughter up in spf, handed my husband my rings and he sat them on his lap. He then jumped up to grab our daughter and both rings went flying. Even worse we didn’t even notice they were gone for fifteen or so minutes later!
