Lost engagement and wedding rings, FOUND! Ocean City, NJ By Expert Recovery detectorist: Jeffrey Laag

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)
Christina reached out to our group page at “TheRingFindersNewJersey.com” after she lost both her engagement and wedding bands in the surf. Christina explained that while playing with her children on a boogie board she felt her rings “slip right off” after sending her child to ride a wave. I took the short ride from Cape May up to Ocean City and met up with Christina and her husband. Her husband had already wrote the rings off as he believed they were “gone forever”, to which I replied “lets see what we can do, lol”. I gathered some details from Christina before entering the surf and managed to pull both rings from the waves in about 10 minutes! Granted they dont always go that quickly, lol. Another happy couple!

Received a message last evening from Ashley. Ashley explained that she dropped a ring in the sand while on Queen St beach today while applying sunscreen. This ring had some pretty significant sentimental value as it had been passed to her from her parents. Ashley had already returned home to Philadelphia before finding my contact information that was recommended to her in “Cape May Live”. We chatted a bit last evening and I headed out after getting off duty this morning, first thing. She was able to markup a screen shot of Queen St beach to help get me in the right general area. After about 20 minutes of searching i had Ashleys ring in the scoop. Her friend picked it up this afternoon and itll be back on Ashleys finger the weekend! Another happy ending! Thank you to the folks in Cape May Live for the recommendations!
Ashleys testimonial:
“I took off a small but sentimental ring to apply sunscreen and, as the story always goes, dropped it into the sand. I spent about an hour looking, and a small crew assembled to help sift the area, with no luck. I left the beach convinced that it was gone forever but posted to a Cape May page in case it was my lucky month. Jeff was recommended almost immediately. Around 8:30 pm we exchanged a few messages back and forth about where I was sitting, time of day, and what the ring looked like and he found it by 8:30am the next day. This man is incredible!”

Received a call from Steve & Mary. The couple explained that they were at the waters edge the previous evening enjoying the shallow surf. At some point while sitting in the shallow water Marys ring slipped off and dissappeared into the water. The couple searched frantically with no luck. The next morning I spoke with them and we met up about 20 minutes later on the beach. After searching for approx 30 minutes I managed to pull the ring from the sand. The couple was in town celebrating their 31st anniversary and now they can get back to enjoying their vacation! Another happy couple!

Received a call from Steve this afternoon. Steve explained that his wedding band had slipped off his finger and disappeared into the sand. Took the short, 10 minute ride over to Philadelphia Ave beach and met up with Steve. Once he directed me to the general area I was able to recover his ring on the first pass. Took longer to walk down onto the beach then it did to find the ring, lol. Once recovered, Steve placed the ring on his middle finger and I dont think its coming off of that one anytime soon. Another happy client!

Lost Diamond / Gold Pendant Recovery Minnesota

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Allison’s Mom was out picking rhubarb when she notice her necklace pendant was missing from the chain around her neck. This necklace was a mothers day gift given to her nearly 20 years ago. It is gold with 3 diamonds representing her husband and two children. Of-course her whole family spent many hours searching the area to no avail. Without her mother knowing, she searched the internet for help and came across the ring finders website. She contacted me and we came up with a day & time to meet for the search. Allison was very excited to find this precious piece for her Mom, I told her, I’ll do my very best! A huge obstacle was an electric pole with a transformer right next to the search area. I had to play with my Manticore settings to get the best sensitivity level while trying to mask the electromagnetic interference. After going through the the rhubarb area with only 1 hit, an old bullet casing, I decided to expand to the grassy area around the mulch. A few swing later and I heard that beautiful « gold tone » a deep solid tone. There it was, pushed just far enough into the ground that it wasn’t visible. Allison called her Mom and told her the great news!!! She had her phone on speaker, so I was able to hear the excitement, which is a bonus for me 🙂

Allison, it was nice to meet you and I’m truly blessed to be able to help in these types of situations. Congrats and thanks for reaching out to theringfinders.com.

LOST A RING?

DON’T WAIT

CALL JOHN

215-850-0188

I had just finished an engagement ring recovery in Ocean City, NJ. As I was packing up my gear, the phone rang. It was Annie, who had posted on Facebook that her daughter, Nia, had lost a sentimental gold cross on the beach while watching the sunrise. I told Jackie that I was only ten minutes away and offered to give it a try. Nia wasn’t sure exactly where the cross had come off, so I knew it might be a longshot. Undeterred, I headed to their location.

When I arrived, Nia gave me more details about where she had been sitting. With that information in mind, I started the search from the beach entrance and worked my way down towards the water. After crossing the entrance mat, I got a nice tone on my metal detector! I dug into the sand, and my heart raced as I saw the glint of gold. It was the cross! I called out to Nia, and as I handed her the cross, I could see the joy and relief in her eyes. She was so happy to have her beloved cross back. It was a great day in Ocean City, NJ, and I was thrilled to have made it a little brighter for Nia and her mom.
