Wedding Ring Recovered

  • from Harrisburg (Pennsylvania, United States)

I received a call regarding a lost wedding ring that occurred while playing volleyball. The problem was that the volleyball court was mobile, encompassing the area of nearly a football field. Worse, I was directed to where it was thought they had been playing. It was not in that area but it was found!

The owner was very happy as seen in the photo.

Gold Diamond Earring found in Naperville, Illinois

  • from Chicago (Illinois, United States)
Contact:

Received a call from a woman in Naperville, Illinois Her mother lost her 18K gold diamond earring in their yard. The daughter said her mom could not sleep the night before Anytime I get called out for an earring, I normally plan on a full day searching for it. I was plesantly surprised when I hit this one in about 10 minutes. A very quick and uneventful search except for the fact I have never searched a yard so void of targets, Normally yards are full of iron and various scrap metals, Probably the reason I hit it so quickly on my second signal. END RESULT – HAPPY ENDING

Platinum Wedding Band Flies Off Guy’s Finger After Barbecue…Found in Essex, Maryland by Ring Finder

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

George’s platinum wedding band of 20 years – found by professional ring finder, Brian Rudolph in Essex, Maryland

A very happy George points at his irreplaceable wedding ring which he was previously worried that he would never see again until THE RING HERO, Brian Rudolph, came to the rescue!

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

George threw away some barbecue coals at his mother’s home after a lovely afternoon cookout. While releasing the cold embers from his left hand, George’s platinum wedding band was presumed to have come off of his finger. At some point he looked down and realized the ring was no longer on his hand. George was devastated and began to look everywhere for his missing band.

After spending over 4 hours searching for the special keepsake (metal detecting, raking and weeding the area in question), George had enough. He decided to look online for a better solution to his problem and he finally did find his answer…THE RING FINDERS – an elite international directory of metal detectorists who are skilled in finding lost rings.

George reached out to me and I met up with him the very next morning. I greeted my client and his wife Stephanie who also was really disappointed about the loss of the ring. We also had a very special guest appearance who planned to make it out to this north Baltimore search site to watch « the show » – that celebrity happened to be THE RING FINDER’S CEO, Chris Turner himself! I was honored to have him come out and observe the search and recovery operation. It meant a lot to have Chris’ presence because he was and still is one of my top metal detecting and ring finding heroes! I started watching Chris’ ring finding videos over a half a decade ago!

George showed Chris and I a large patch of dead grass where my client had been searching for his 20 year old wedding band. He was afraid that maybe the ring ended up traveling further down the embankment and into the pond nearby. I decided to start scanning the grass up at the top of the slope and then work my way down the decline. I did this because many clients think the ring had ended up in front of them or off to one side. Yet, in reality, rings might end up coming off the person’s finger and landing somewhere behind the individual. And that is exactly what happened! I found George’s handsome wedding band just a few feet to the right and behind where my client had initially thrown the charcoal!

The couple was so happy to see George’s wedding band back on his finger! I cannot express enough with words just how wonderful it was to help such a nice guy get his ring found and also to successfully recover the ring while THE RING KING himself – Chris Turner, was there to witness the find and the fun reveal! What a special morning that was for all of us!

Guy’s Lost Wedding Band Found Near Flower Bed by Ring Finder in Rockville, Maryland

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

AJ’s 14 karat white gold wedding band found by professional metal detectorist Brian Rudolph in Rockville, Maryland

AJ’s mother, Maureen, holds up her son’s 14 karat white gold wedding band with a sigh of relief after ring finder recovers it in the grass along the right side of the house

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

AJ had been married for only 3 years when he lost his 14 karat white gold wedding band at his parent’s house in Rockville, Maryland. While visiting his childhood property, he decided to help his folks with was some gardening around the property. By the end of the day, the young man realized that his irreplaceable keepsake was no longer on his finger.

AJ and his wife Jackie searched the flower beds and even in the grass where he was cutting some wood earlier in the day. Unfortunately, all of their efforts to recover the very ring that was put on his finger by Jackie on their very special wedding day led to no avail.

After the couple left the Maryland area to return to their home in Connecticut, AJ’s mother, Maureen, went online to see if she could find a professional metal detectorist who might be able to recover her son’s wedding band. The woman found the elite international directory of metal detectorists called THE RING FINDERS. Shortly thereafter I received a call from the concerned mother and we reviewed the story of the missing ring in full detail.

When I arrived at the Rockville, Maryland home on that very rainy and miserable day, Maureen took me around the parameter of the property and showed me all the places where her son AJ had been working. Then, I gathered up all of my metal detecting gear out of my vehicle and soon started scanning the grass as well as the flower beds for the 14 karat white gold ring.

I am delighted to share that after searching almost every square inch of potential space where AJ had been cutting wood and gardening, I hit a fantastic target signal coming from within the grass, on the right side of the house, less than a foot away from one of the garden beds. I knelt down, and there between the blades of grass I saw AJ’s very handsome symbol of love shining back at me! I was thrilled for the young man and his wife, as well as for my client Maureen who felt kind of guilty that her son lost his ring while trying to do a nice thing for his mother by doing tasks around the property.

As soon as I discovered the lost jewel, I shared my success with Maureen that the search was finally over! Then, the two of us contacted AJ to surprise him with the wonderful news that the ring had been recovered! He was beyond thrilled!

I left the Rockville residence feeling extremely fulfilled within me that I had yet again helped preserve very special memories that were connected with another priceless wedding ring!

Championship Ring Lost In The Old Orchard Beach, Maine Water Found With A Metal Detector

  • from Old Orchard Beach (Maine, United States)

On Saturday May, 11th, I started receiving multiple notifications, from Facebook, for my The Ring Finders of Maine page, an Emergency Metal Detecting Service. People had seen a Facebook post about a lost ring, on the beach, in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Four or five people had commented on the post, to contact me, to search for the ring.

I then saw a message, from Nicole, stating,

“Hello! My daughter just informed me that she lost her Championship Ring, in OOB, today. She didn’t want to tell me sooner, because she was embarrassed, by it. I was told to reach out to you.”

The message came in at 5:49pm. I immediately replied with

“Hi, glad to help. It’s a very large beach, does she know which area?”

Nicole then sent me a photo of the Cheerleading Championship Ring and a photo of the area, her daughter had been in, earlier, in the day, with some of her friends. Nicole also told me that her daughter, Alyssa,  said she was on the right side of the pier, when facing the water. I could tell, from the photo that she had been in front of Palace Playland, an amusement park. She then sent me a video of two boys, running down and jumping into the water, for greater clarity and direction , on where her daughter and friends, had been, on the beach.

Alyssa lives in Sanford, Maine, about 25 miles from Old Orchard Beach. She and her friends had stopped in OOB, on their way to a cheerleading competition, in South Portland, where her team was competing, in another Championship competition, this very night. Alyssa is a member of Port City Athletics and competes in their All Star Cheerleading group. Alyssa would not be able to perform, this night, due to an injury to her knee, which will require surgery. Alyssa was very upset about losing the ring, thinking it would bring bad luck to her teammates, that night.

I then asked Nicole if her daughter, had also gone in the water. Yes she had. I then sent a photo to Nicole, showing the beach and asked, which section of the beach she was in? I had broken the beach up into 4 different colored quadrants and Nichole’s daughter said section #3, was where they were laying on the beach. From the photo and video sent to me, I’m thinking it was quadrant #4, not section #3. I then asked if someone could meet me there and pinpoint the area, her daughter had frequented the most. Nicole and her daughter agreed to meet me there and I told her that I would load my equipment up and be there in approximately 30 minutes, at 6:30pm.

I arrived at 6:30pm and Nicole hadn’t arrived yet. I decided to start a horizontal grid search, of the dry sand, in quadrant #4. I had been searching, with my metal detector, for maybe 15 minutes, when everyone arrived. I asked Alyssa, if I was in the general area. Yes and she showed me some of the holes that she had dug, just about 15 feet from where I was.

I continued the search and was finding nothing, but a vape pen, bottle cap and a few rusty nails. While I was searching, Nicole, Alyssa, her father and her friend, were performing a visual search, mostly down in the wet sand, near the water. Nothing was found by them. After I had been searching for approximately 1 1/2 hours. Nicole and the rest of them had to leave. I told Nicole, I would search for another 1/2 hour or so, as it was getting dark and I was getting closer to the water. I continued grid searching, the wet slope of the beach, down to the water area. If I didn’t find it, I would be back, in the morning, for low tide and search the wet sand, that was now underwater. As I was making my way down the slope, I was finding nothing at all. I was approximately 1/2 to 3/4 of the way, down the slope, when I received my 1st and only Non-Ferrous target. It was ringing up a 12-04, on my CTX-3030 and the screen was telling me about 4 inches deep. I dug a couple times and the target was still in the hole. I dug a 3rd time, and as the saying goes, 3rd times a charm. I pushed some sand aside and I saw Alyssa’s Cheerleading Championship Ring. A big smile, broke out, on my face. Now getting dark and approximately 2 hours of searching, has resulted in more smiles, for my “Book of Smiles”. A good day.

I then messaged Nicole and told her I had just found Alyssa’s ring, along with a photo. Nicole replied,

“OMG, Thank you so much. That’s insane. I will message you tomorrow and we can grab it! Thank you sooo much.”

Sunday, Mother’s Day became to hectic and I received the following message from Nicole

“Thank you Dennis!  Mother’s Day was a bit crazy and I ended up with a sick bunny and cheerleading watching!

Finding the ring ended up being good luck as her team WON another ring yesterday!!!  ( she’s superstitious and though losing it would hurt them) She has an injury that wouldn’t let her compete but she’s excited for them!

We can pick it up on Wednesday evening if possible???

Thank you again!!!”

We all met up on Wednesday , May 15 and I returned the ring to Alyssa. Just a few days earlier. Alyssa was upset and crying, about losing her Championship Ring. She also thought she would bring her team bad luck, because she had lost last year’s Championship Ring and her team was competing for another Championship,on Saturday night, the same day she lost her ring. Well, no bad omens here! Her team WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP AGAIN, incredible. Congratulations to all the cheerleaders, once again. Well done!!!

Alyssa is having the surgery on her knee, tomorrow, Thursday, May 16th. Prayers and well wishes go out to Alyssa. 🙏🙏🙏

Every ring, truly has a story behind it and what a great story this ring has. I absolutely love helping people like Nicole and Alyssa.

Lost Engagement Ring in The South Hill ….FOUND!!!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

« Maya,Maya,Maya, » Maya scolded herself as she looked down at her engagement ring  that was missing off of her ring finger. See, Maya had made a very well thought out decision. She had removed her engagement ring off of her finger right before she began gardening.  The ring was placed in the top pocket of her shirt. Then Maya began the task of filling up a raised garden bed with rich black potting soil. The task was tedious but after the work was completed Maya was pleased with herself. This feeling however, withdrew itself and morphed into dread. The pocket holding the ring, was empty. Searching that day and at night and then the next morning, did not uncover her ring. Maya asked Reddit for some advice and found The Ring Finders. So that morning she sent me a text. I called and discussed the details with Maya and made plans to come by after work. Arriving at Maya’s house, I could see her upset face coming down the stairs. We made our way to her backyard and I set my detector up. Hearing a bunch of signals under the ground, I looked around and her yard seemed to grow larger. Upon hearing that the ring was in the top pocket of her shirt, I knew all the signals were not her ring. Maya showed me a picture of the ring as I headed to the garden bed. The little puck coil on my Equinox 800 made a nice digging tool as I plunged it into the fresh soil. I made a few dozen stabs at the dirt. With a void of signals to be heard I was very optimistic when the detector sounded off and showed a 5-6 on the screen. « Let’s see if this is it » I said and turned on my pinpointer. The signal was a few inches down and I grabbed it quite easily. Sifting the dirt through my hand the ring slipped through my grasp. Using the pinpointer again to confirm I hadn’t made the ring disappear, the rim peaked out. I had found it finally. Maya was fully relieved and overwhelmed with the whole ordeal. She gave me a nice smile as I took my photos. The best intentions lead to some unforseen outcomes sometimes. But the best advice, is still, to leave your rings in a safe place where you can find them easily and not take a chance and take them along with you.

Diamond Stud Earring Found! Fredericksburg VA. By Rob Ellis

  • from Fairfax (Virginia, United States)

Lori Holding Her Earring

I highly recommend Rob Ellis if you need help finding lost treasurers!
Riding the lawn mower last week, I ran into a tree branch and instinctively felt for my diamond earring, only to find it was missing and only the back remained on my ear.  I stopped instantly and my family helped me search multiple times.  Of course, it wasn’t just any earring – but the ones my husband gave me nearly 16 years ago when we were expecting our first child.

We tried friends’ metal detectors and everything else we could think of for days.  Thankfully, I stumbled on ringfinder.com (http://ringfinder.com/) and made a phone call.  I was quickly connected with Rob Ellis who asked lots of questions to be sure he understood the incident and to assess his ability to help.  Once he felt comfortable that this was within his ability to find, we arranged a time.  He made the coordination easy!  This morning, he came down promptly and reviewed the site to again assure his tools were appropriate for the job.  He searched diligently and thoroughly, combing the area from multiple angles and with various tools.  As time ticked by, he provided reassurance and re-reviewed the incident with me to ensure we weren’t missing anything.  Finally, after I was ready to give up, he FOUND MY EARRING buried in the dirt under the grass.  We both were so excited that we had tears of joy running down our faces.  I am in disbelief and eternally grateful!

Rob is extremely personable and easy to work with.  He is also amazingly talented.  I highly recommend his services!

——————————————————————————

From Rob: Lori, thank you for those kind words! As any detectorist can tell you, small earrings are very difficult to find. The small amount of gold and the shape requires the right equipment and experience. I started with a powerful discriminating detector which identified the matching earring when it touched the coil. I carefully searched the ground around the bush, rubbing the small coil in the grass. Eventually I switched to my high frequency Fisher Gold Bug 2 detector. Unfortunately, using the Gold Bug 2 required me to check every piece of tiny metal in a 10×10 foot area. Due to previous searching, the earring was squished about 1/2 inch into the moist earth. It took a long time on a 90-degree day, but I was delighted to return this elusive earring to Lori.

Rob Ellis: Metal Detector Expert… text/call ASAP, (703)-598-1435

Don’t give up. Many of my clients have bought, borrowed, or rented a metal detector before calling me. Just because someone has a tool, it doesn’t mean they know how to use it. I use state of the art equipment, and I have thousands of hours of experience searching on land and underwater. If you have tried using a detector without success, please text/call to see if I can help.

Found Wedding Ring in Vermont

  • from Barre (Vermont, United States)

5/13/24

Got a call this afternoon from a gentleman who lost his platinum wedding ring while mulching around his shrubs. So I went straight home from work, grabbed my detectors and headed to his house.

He and his wife took me around the yard showing me the likely areas to search. His ring fits loose in the chilly weather, so he thought it may have fallen off and got shoveled out into the woods with the old mulch.

After searching the yard for about an hour, dusk started to settle in. They suggested taking a look in the garage and in a large barrel where he had been discarding empty mulch bags. I ran my Goldmaster around the base of the plastic barrel and got a banging loud signal with the right numbers. So I started removing trash and putting it in another container. Right in the very bottom was a fantastic sight, his ring!!

We were all very surprised and happy! I love this hobby.
