Lost Cartier earring found

  • from Fort Worth (Texas, United States)

Scott called me to help him find a lost earring in his bedroom shag carpet. It was a challenge because of the rebar in the concrete but after about 20 minutes I found that little earring . Tesoro likes that small gold where others won’t even pick it up! Glad I could help and I’m sure his wife smiled too when she came home!

Lost wedding ring in the surf, Daytona Beach, Florida….Found and Returned!

Nathan emailed me late Friday night and asked if there was any chance I could help him look for his lost tungsten wedding ring at the beach. He explained that they had spent part of the afternoon on the sand and in the water and only realized his ring was missing later while eating dinner. Nathan was not real used to wearing his wedding ring because he and his lovely wife had just gotten married four days earlier and they were on their honeymoon the day he lost his ring. Bummer, hey?! And to make matters worse they were going to be returning home to Missouri in just two days. I assured Nathan that his lost wedding ring was not going to be washed away and if he could remember exactly where they entered the water and about how far out they went…then there was a very good chance of finding his lost ring.
The next morning I met Nathan on the beach and he explained how they had stayed in the sun light because they were a bit chilled and the setting sun was shinning between two very large buildings that were quite close together…so that was a huge help in putting me in the best location. Before getting started I told Nathan that I would probably be digging various targets along the way and if I were to find his ring he would be the first to know. So I started out my grid search just to the north of the 60 feet wide target area and I proceeded to dig various coins and junk items. I was going from the wet sand out to almost chest deep and on my 6th pass I got a solid, sharp signal on my TDI Beach Hunter that turned out to be Nathan’s lost ring! The relief on Nathans face was obvious and the smile said it all! I really thank God for helping me find Nathan’s lost wedding ring and I wonder who else out there may need my help as well?! Found Glasses In Vermont Woods

  • from Barre (Vermont, United States)

10/6/19
I got an email a couple weeks ago from a lady who lost her glasses out in the woods. She really needs these glasses because she got a bad eye injury while in a car accident. She had been to at least 2 eye doctors before they got her into a satisfactory pair of glasses. They were quite expensive, too.

She and a friend are creating trails in a beautiful piece of woods that will soon be in a conservation trust for the public to enjoy forever. She was out walking on the trails, lost track of time, and realized she was late to meet some people that were arriving to see the area. So, she decided to take a shortcut run though the woods, which didn’t go so well. She took quite a tumble and her glasses went flying. Later, she looked several hours and couldn’t find them. The frames were a color which blended too well with the forest floor.

So, last weekend she showed me the area and I spent nearly 3 hours searching, with no luck. I told her that we would eventually find them and not to give up. My wife and I went back this morning, we expanded the search area and in less than 30 minutes I found them. They were hiding in s clump of ferns where we never would’ve found them without a metal detector.

We met her at her house and made her day with the news. We visited for awhile and come to find out, her house was built in the early 1800’s and she also has a super old log cabin on her land. She invited us back in the Spring for what should prove to be an awesome relic hunt. Hopefully her kids will be joining us, they will be amazed at what has been hiding under the soil. I can’t wait!!!

Lost wedding ring in Palm Desert / Indio found!

  • from Arkansas City (Kansas, United States)

Received a call from Trevor that he lost his wedding ring while vacationing in Indio. He was playing catch in the backyard and at one point threw his glove in the air. When the glove left his hand, so did his ring! The ring disappeared somewhere in the grass. After renting a metal detector with no luck, he found ring finders and gave me a call. After 30 minutes of searching, I located the ring about 30 feet from the area we thought it would be, 14k White Gold ring. Trevor wasn’t available when I found the ring but mailed it out to him. Trevor was thrilled the ring came back to him, another successful return!

Lost Engagement Ring Found at Carlsbad beach

  • from Arkansas City (Kansas, United States)

I was getting some fresh air at the beach and doing some metal detecting recently. As I was cleaning the beach during a very low tide, I hit a nice clear signal and out popped a BEAUTIFUL diamond/platinum engagement ring about 10 inches down in the sand. It’s probably the nicest ring I have found. Knowing that someone was really missing this ring, I put up several ads that a ring had been found. Two days later I was contacted by an individual who had lost a ring and described it in the right location and the exact description of the ring! After a few texts it was clear we had found the owner! The story was, she had lost the ring while vacationing with her family in Carlsbad a few days before. She had been playing with her kids in the waves when she felt the ring fly off into the surf. After some devastating moments and some frantic searching, it was clear that her engagement ring was lost.

She was beyond ecstatic that I had found the missing ring. Unbelievable really. Turns out she was celebrating her anniversary the day after we spoke. Because she lived in another state and was only here on vacation, I mailed the ring to her as soon as possible and she said it was the best anniversary present she could have received. A great return, so happy she has her beautiful ring back in her possession and best of luck to her and her husband.

Lost ring in East Crooked Lake, Eustis, Florida….Found and Returned!

Erick had just bought his daughter a new fishing pole and they were on the end of his parents dock trying it out for the very first time when disaster struck! Erick said that after putting a nice juicy worm on the hook, he went to wash the goo from his hands and as he shook the excess water off, his heavy gold wedding ring went « plunk » right into the dark lake water! Erick was stunned as he watched it hit the water and disappear out of sight. Right away he tried to figure out how he could retrieve his ring so he checked the depth of the water and determined it to be around 11 feet deep. Too deep for him to jump in and attempt any sort of search himself. And the more he thought about his situation he felt there just had to be some way or someone who could help him retrieve his lost ring. So he went online and soon came across theringfinders.com and one of my successful recovery stories.

After speaking with Erick and hearing what all happened I assured him that his ring was not going anywhere and the soonest I could conduct a search would be in three days. Erick told me he had actually calculated that his ring fell off the dock exactly 32 inches from the end of the dock, which he had marked with a magic marker. With that information I put together a pole that was to be driven into the bottom of the lake and anchored with a 2X4 to the dock. This time I brought my scuba gear and was prepared to do a proper dive. Only the bottom of the lake was covered with SAV…submerged aquatic vegetation…which would not permit me to swing a metal detector. So I used my water proof Scuba Tector/X Pointer Pro that is rated to 200 feet! As I slowly descended to the bottom I was able to use the pole as a guide and it wasn’t long until the end of my hand held pointer clicked on something metal and there in the thick mud and silt in a tangle of grass was Erick’s lost ring! And as I slowly surfaced holding the ring on my finger and sticking it up so that was the first thing Erick would see…I will never forget the stunned look on Erick’s face. I am so thankful to God for allowing me to be able to help Erick be reunited with his lost wedding ring! Erick and his wife celebrate 15 years of marriage and are still committed to each other and going strong!

Ring found Gorge Amphitheatre Washington

  • from Yakima (Washington, United States)

I received a call to search for a ring lost at a concert. It was lost in the parking area in a field with pasture grass. The owners of the ring had reached out to me for the search and we set plans to meet. On the morning of the search we met in the general area of the search. This was acres of grass and the first priority was to narrow the search area. After playing 20 questions we had located the likely area to hunt. I set up my detector and started a grid search. The rings owners also began to search by slowly walking the area and looking through the grass.

It took all of five minutes to locate the ring. As much as I would like to say I found it by my awesome metal detector skills it was actually the husband who found the ring some 20 feet away. He credited me with the find by narrowing down the search area and rewarded me with a very generous gift. We were all very happy to return the ring.

I said it it was my best hunt ever for speed of recovery. Thanks for the call out.  Smiles by all.

Lost ring in the water, Lake Tibet, Orlando, Fl…..Found and Returned!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)

Greg called me about a ring that his girl friend had accidentally dropped in a lake and mentioned it was only in a few feet of water. I explained how I normally retrieve lost rings and he assured me he knew exactly where it fell off of the dock and into the water. He said his girl friend had used a mask and tried to locate the ring but was unsuccessful. It had been lost almost a month prior to our conversation and I assured Greg that the ring was most likely in the same spot where it originally fell.

Three days later I met Greg at the location and the first thing I did was to check the exact depth of the water at the drop site and it turned out to be more like 6 to 7 feet deep. Unfortunately I had not brought my scuba tank, dive hose and regulator but I did have my mask and snorkel. So I figured it was another good opportunity to practice diving and holding my breath….once again!

By using my PVC pole stuck into the soft lake bottom where Greg said the ring had fallen, I was able to work my water proof Garrett pro pointer around the pole checking every metal signal. I found various bolts and such and on the 3rd dive I got a good signal and could only grab a handful of mud, shells and debris and as I sorted through the material my hand felt Greg’s lost ring! As I surfaced I rinsed the ring off and was amazed by the unique design and beauty. Greg was thrilled and very thankful to see his girl friend’s lost ring again and I was honored to be the one to find it for them.

Lost Wedding Ring July 4th, 2019 during pool volleyball found by Houston Metal Detecting Services
I was contacted by Andy a resident of Houston, Texas who was looking for someone to help him find his lost wedding ring.
And reported he had been at his in-laws for a 4th of July party when he believed he lost the ring. And said he had been playing volleyball in the pool when he believed he lost the ring. Andy said he never felt the ring come off of his finger, but suspected it may have flown off while playing water volleyball.
Andy said after later discovering his ring was missing, an extensive search was conducted in and around the pool. Andy said after an hour or better of searching they came up empty-handed.
Andy said his wife Christina did a little internet research and found Houston Metal Detecting Services – The Ring Finders (Houston, Texas) and he placed the call.
Andy described the details of how he believed he lost his ring and arrangements were made to meet the following day July 5th.
Check out the video to see the recovery of Andy’s Wedding Ring
