Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

After the Jon Cryer ring recovery, I was contacted by a lot of local people who read the story and asked if I could help them find their lost ring. Unfortunately, a big percentage of the calls were for rings that were lost in public areas such as parking lots, department stores, cabs, restaurants, places I cannot metal detect and help people.

However, this call I received made me feel pretty certain the outcome would result in a smile. The young man lost his late grandfather’s ring by throwing in the Applecore in the front yard and into some bushes. We arranged a time to meet and when I got there I was greeted by the young man who showed me exactly where he threw the apple core and where they found the apple core. These searches can take minutes some could take hours, it’s just figuring out the direction the ring went, most times it never ends up buy the apple core.

After 40 minutes or so and no ring, I backed up my thought process went to where he was standing when he threw the apple and I  literally found the ring less than 2 feet away from where he stood.

A lot of times you have to think out-of-the-box and when you’re not finding it where you think it should be, it’s only because it’s not there, it’s where you find it.

I have the best job in the world and I love doing this more than anything I’ve done in my lifetime. I get to make people smile, I get to hear their stories of what the ring means to them and how happy they are when I’m lucky enough to find it.

Found! Beautiful wedding ring lost in the Gulf of Mexico at Orange Beach Alabama

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

This young lady lost her stunning 3 part wedding ring while playing catch with her son in the Gulf of Mexico. The next day a very worried husband called me and I said I would do my best to find her rings. I arrived at the beach and the couple briefed me on the location, it was about a quarter acre, half on land and half in the water! I started the search in the water using flagging placed lined up on the beach so I could maintain a tight grid with overlap to insure complete coverage. The surf was steadily building that afternoon with some waves breaking over my head. Searching was near impossible and even thought I was able to locate several promising targets I did not dig in fear of the rings settling deeper than the my detector would locate. So, I retreated to the beach and made a complete search with out finding her rings. She was very concerned that her rings were lost for good but I told her I don’t give up. Together, I showed her the tide charts and surf report that identified the next late afternoon as the best time to search the water. She was very concerned because they needed to head home the next day. Based on their plan I arrived the next afternoon early and the waves had laid down quite a bit. I had mental notes of where I found targets the day before and started my search at the target I thought had the best signal, I found her ring in about 5 minutes and lucky the three parts were still together. She was exuberant on getting the news that I had found her ring that I felt she thought lost for good. The smile on her face made it all worth while! The family went home happy!

Lost Rose Gold Cartier Bracelet Found in Oakland Township Oakland County Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Hot To Trot!

When these two lovely ladies met it was love at first sight. This young horse jumper fell in love with Stacie’s beautiful chocolate eyes, brown coat and silky mane. They spent many hours practicing and bonding with one another. Having to take a break during quarantine her owner was excited once again to get back in the saddle. But little did she know that this jump session was gonna stirrup some trouble. Mounting up they could feel the excitement as they approached the base of the jump and taking off towards the sky, they made it over with a successful landing. Completing a few more rounds before dark settled in, she noticed her very much beloved bracelet given to her by a friend was missing. After chatting I giddyupped as fast as I could to the horse arena. When I arrived, I set up my MXT and started to grid search the path she took. Bit by bit I uncovered many horse hardware items and held them up to show her. I even tried to get info straight from the horse’s mouths of Stacie’s friends with my electronic carrot but the look they gave showed me that I had no horse sense whatsoever! Almost reaching the end of the circle I got a nice shallow signal. Pinpointing and scraping about 2 inches of gravelly sand revealed a portion of the bracelet! Sensing I was taking longer the horse jumper ran to me exclaiming…..Do you think that’s it? I’m beginning to wonder if it came off somewhere else! I said hay girl.. hold your horses….look at that strange horseshoe! Reaching down she slowly pulled the bracelet from the sand. As a sigh of relief came over her, she started jumping up and down wildly and it felt like the thundering hoofs of stampeding stallions. After a quick rinse and polish the pretty gleam of the rose gold bracelet came thru with flying colors. I turned and said my my, I love how these stables have turned!

Lost Gold Ring at San Diego Park Found!

  • from Arkansas City (Kansas, United States)

Richard and his wife spent some time at the park relaxing and throwing the Frisbee. Not long after they realized Richard’s ring was missing! After an exhaustive search they gave up and Richard figured he would never see the ring again.

After speaking to Richard and his wife, we got up for an early morning search with the metal detectors. After identifying a few areas the ring could be, within just a few minutes it was Richard who spotted the ring lying just a few feet away! Richard was THRILLED to find the ring and couldn’t believe it. I could feel the adrenaline and see the joy on his face. What a great feeling and love to be a part of the ring return.

While I can’t take credit for finding the ring, I can take credit for getting him out of bed to have another look!😄

Lost Wedding ring found in River Cochrane

  • from Calgary (Alberta, Canada)
Contact:

I received a call from Coby telling me his wife lost her Diamond wedding in the river in Cochrane. He wanted to know if we had a chance of finding it. I told him I have found other rings in the water in the past and would come out in a couple of days to look for it. I went out on a Saturday morning and gave it a try the river was very high and it was hard to search I tried for about an hour. She was sitting a bunch of big rocks and when she swung her arm the stand up it went into the water with all the big rocks and boulders it was a hard find. I told them because I couldn’t find it to try back in the fall when the river would be down.  So in September went out and gave it a look now both her and the newborn baby and Coby were there and we began to search we check the water and the start between all the boulders slowly moving them one by one. After a couple of hours and moving a bunch of boulders, we recover the ring One happy family.l

Lost Yellow Gold Wedding Band Found In Ann Arbor Michigan

Grandpa’s Little Helper

This nice gentleman was visiting his son from out of state. Him and his son decided to rake and bag the leaves in the front yard. Unfortunately his wedding ring of 52 yrs came off. How could he return home to his wife with no ring? On site and in the drizzling rain I turned on my MXT and we arranged all 17 bags of leaves so I could search around and under each bag. Going on a hunch to check the bags first I went from right to left and when I got to the 5th bag I got a faint whisper of a signal that said here I am!, and a number on the detector meter where the gold ring should be. Taking the bag onto the concrete surface and out of the rain I checked that the concrete was free of rebar. Dumping the contents of the bags caught the attention of his granddaughter. Scanning thru the leaves the faint signal turned into a no doubt signal. Reaching down I brushed the leaves aside and this beautiful gold ring appeared on the concrete! At this point his granddaughter took control! Reaching down she picked up the ring and slid it onto grandpa’s finger and now has some practice for the future! This made all of us smile in addition to finding the ring and now he can return home with his ring of 52 years with memories and stories of his little helper for years to come!

14k Gold Mens Wedding Band Lost in Backyard Renton WA

  • from Mercer Island (Washington, United States)

Justin contacted me asking for some assistance on searching for his lost 14k gold wedding band. Recently he had lost some weight and his wedding band of ten years had become loose on the finger. Earlier in the day he went to Angle Lake Park for a swim with his daughter and nearly lost it. Fortunately he took his ring off and secured it to his key chain for safe keeping. He did have a strong memory of having his ring back on his finger once he returned home. He told me that he spent some time in his back yard and one of the actions he remembered was playing with his cat. He was dancing around the cat a bit and moving his hands about. Based upon the knowledge of the loose fitting ring and this bit of animated play and seeing the thick backyard grass I had a strong suspicion his ring was most likely in the yard.

Justin told me he had been looking through his yard for the past two months and just one week prior to my search he had purchased a basic metal detector. He admitted he didn’t have much success with the machine and this is when he went looking on line for fresh options. Fortunately he stumbled across TheRingFinders.com and the rest is history.

Watch the exciting conclusion of this 14k Gold Mens Wedding Band search.

Cheers,

Jeff Morgan

Lost Yellow / White Gold Ring Found in West Bloomfield Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Bongo Daddy

The pictured man and his son were enjoying some time together in the cool air today at a school playground.

Many things were available to play on and reminded the dad of his childhood playground. As he looked past the swings, slide, and merry-go-round…. peering deeper thru the monkey bars, something caught his eye….Bongos!

As the son was occupied, dad zoomed over to the bongos and placed his hands on them. Slowly his fingers of each hand began to tap out a melody. As the tempo increased his hands started to lay down a beat that would make Ricky Ricardo blush. Totally mesmerized in the moment as the song reached a crescendo a few final thumps concluded his solo jam session. Stepping back he was satisfied that he didn’t miss a beat but suddenly realized that what was missing was his ring! When I arrived he had no idea which way it flew. I set up my MXT and started a grid search in the trajectory which I thought made sense. Scanning over the wood chips it was nice for a change not to find junk items. After about 5 minutes and 10 feet away from the bongos I got a clear signal that said good metal! Reaching down thru the wood chips revealed his beautiful yellow/white gold ring! As he reached down to pick it up he called his son over who gave two thumbs up on the find and said maybe we should wait on the bongo lessons for you Dad!

Lost gold wedding ring recovered, found in leaf pile, Baroda, Michigan, Berrien County

  • from Granger (Indiana, United States)

Larry, his wife and some family had been doing some fall cleanup of freshly fallen leaves on the property.
Later in the afternoon, Larry noticed his wedding ring, that he’s worn proudly for 49 years, had slipped off and was now missing.
For hours, they searched, sometimes on hands and knees, scouring the leaf piles for the missing gold band. They tried using a metal detector, but said it was making all kinds of noise on random targets and they weren’t sure on it’s settings or how to really use it.
Larry’s daughter had seen a Twitter tweet about someone’s ring being found by a ringfinder (me) and they decided to look to TheRingFinders.com for help.
The first potential area of loss was where the loads of leaves were being dumped. They had taken some photos during the day and saw that Larry still had his ring on his finger at some point.
I started searching, found several undesirable targets that were under the surface, some flakes of copper and foil pieces on top of the ground, slightly prolonging the process.
I have found many lost rings, often just outside of where they are thought to possibly be.
I got a good strong signal near the back side of the compacted leaf piles. I rustled carefully through the leaves to locate that particular target with my pinpointer. They didn’t expect the ring would be right there though. A brief moment later and I saw the golden edge of a ring at the end of the sounding pinpointer. Bingo! I said. I immediately handed it back to Larry.
I’ve seen many happy reactions from people and families, which is awesome, this was no exception. He was so very happy and gracious to be reunited with his lost ring.
I’m glad I was able to help. Took about ten minutes to find.

Metal Detecting Service .. Call: Stan the Metal Detector Man ..  949-500-2136 .. member of TheRingFinders

*** Pete called me asking about my service. He said he is with friends on the beach at a local Laguna Beach hotel. His friend, Michelle had just realized that hierloom gold and diamond ring was not on her finger. I explained a couple things about how the metal detector works and that I could be at his location soon as it was only 8 miles from my base.

Pete told me to wait for him to call back as the hotel security personnel were on their way to help search for the ring. I know that beach is loaded with black sand and very difficult to search with the average metal detector. I couldn’t wait for Pete to call because I knew he would soon be calling.

I jumped into my car head south towards the Surf and Sands Hotel in Laguna Beach, CA. Just as I was parking I got the call from Pete. I said, I would be there in two minutes. As I walked up to the group I met Pete who was holding one of those handheld detector wands that security people check people for weapons at event entrances. ( not good for rings in black sand )

Machelle didn’t know when the ring came off her finger, but was positive that she had not left the 30’x30’ area. That was all I needed to hear. I set up my detector, backing off a few feet to get a couple practice swings in before getting focused on the search. After a couple passes in a grid line the sweet sound of gold was heard in my earphones. One dig with the sand scoop revealed the beautiful ring.

The whole group of more than a dozen people witnessed the recovery. Michelle gave me a big hug telling me how much this ring meant to her. It was a gift from her grandmother who had worn it for many years.

It was a pleasure to help Machelle and it was Pete that had the presence of mind to search on line for TheRingFinders directory.

Don’t wait, call as soon as possible… Stan the Metal Detector Man …  949-500-2136  .. “I WILL TRY ANYWHERE “
