Platinum Diamond Womens Wedding Band Recovered At South Bethany Beach, Del.

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

I received a call from Laura regarding the loss of her Platinum Diamond Womens Wedding Band at Middle Sex Beach located in South Bethany Beach, Delaware. Laura stated that she was throwing a football around on the beach when her ring slipped off her finger and disappeared into the sand. Laura said that they had marked the area where the ring had been lost. I responded to Middle Sex Beach where I met with Laura and began the search for her lost ring. After a careful  check of the area that Laura had marked the ring was nowhere to be found. I then expanded my search eastward toward the Atlantic Ocean for about fifteen feet at which time the lost ring was found and recovered.

Mattapoisett’s Newest Engagement !

I received a message on my phone from Caroline asking if I could help find an engagement ring that had been lost earlier in the morning.  I returned her call with enthusiasm saying I was on my way forgetting it was the Fourth of July.  Traffic was brutal but I made it in good time.  We all quickly introduced ourselves and George her husband to be, proceeded to tell me how it was lost.  He was proposing on one knee and when he opened the ring box that had a locking latch the ring was gone.  I asked all the questions leading up to where he seen it last. Luckily he remembered it was in his pocket.  So I think that when he pulled the box out of his pants he also brought the ring up with it and lost it in the sand.

They went and bought a detector but couldn’t find it after an hour or so.

I had Caroline stand where she thought it could be and George where he was kneeling.  Julia there professional photographer was with us while I searched, she was documenting every step.

I started to grid the area, first pass two old bullets, second pass a piece of aluminum, third pass 20 feet away from where it was thought to be I got it. A beautiful Platinum 1.2 karat Diamond engagement ring.

After a few minutes of hooting and hollering.  George redeemed himself and got down on his knee a proposed. Caroline said yes.  It’s very rewarding to be able to be a small part of their special day. Congratulations to you Caroline and George.   A special thank you to Julian for helping them document it.   Sincerely Leighton

I received an anxious call from Heather yesterday. Heather explained that her sister Holly lost their fathers gold ring while tossing a football with her daughter. She went to toss the ball and the ring flung right off and dissappeard into the sand. Luckily Heather knew who to call. Took the ten minute ride over to St Louis Ave beach in Wildwood Crest. Met up with Heather and Holly and had their fathers ring, which was made by their late grandmother, back on her finger within minutes. Another happy client!

Platinum Wedding Band Lost While Cutting Yard-Found

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

Kevin had contacted me and said he had lost his wedding band in the yard while cutting the grass. They had looked for it for a couple of days but the weeds in that area were quite tall and finding a ring visually was out of the question. I found the ring in an area where the weeds were around eight inches tall. Total search time was around an hour.

Gold Wedding Band Lost Right After Wedding-Found!

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

Linsey called me and said they had held a wedding venue in their yard for their daughter and son-in-law. Her yard was quite large and her son-in-law had lost his ring right after the wedding. She had purchased a metal detector but struck out.  Because of the size of the yard I set up a grid search and it took me all of two hours before I found it. Her daughter and son-in-law were out of town at the time.

At some point, the chain had dropped into the sand and disappeared. Met Sam and family on the beach just ahead of the front rolling in and recovered the chain and medallion in about 5 minutes! I received a call from Taylor last week. Taylor explained that she was on the beach visiting for the day from PA and she believes that she may have dropped her wedding band into the water. I took the short ride over and met up with Taylor and her husband in front of Wildwood convention hall. While walking down towards the beach, Taylor explained that she had removed all three of her rings and placed them in the same pocket with her cell phone. Later on, she had waded out to about calf deep water and pulled her phone out to grab a few pictures. When she pulled out her phone Taylor beleived that one of her rings came out with the phone and dropped into the ocean water. It was just about high tide when I initially met with the couple and I explained that it may be best to wait for low tide to try and recover the ring. Later, the same day, I rode back over and began searching for Taylors ring. I managed to recover her ring a short time later. Taylors ring was shipped back to her the very next day. Another happy and relieved couple!
Taylors review / recommendation:
“Absolutely would recommend Jeffrey if you end up losing anything at the beach! Lost a wedding band in Wildwood while we were down for the day and he was able to recover it and send it back to me! He was very helpful and accommodating!”

Lost Ring Found at Seacliff State Beach

  • from Santa Cruz (California, United States)

Today I got a text from Bo who asked for assistance finding a lost ring.  I called him and learned that his brother Alex had lost his wedding ring while throwing a frisbee at the beach.  He said his brother literally felt it slip off his finger.  They were right at the water line when this happened so I was a bit concerned that the ocean could have carried it further out than where it first landed.  I checked the tides and advised that I would be there in a couple hours during the upcoming slight low.  I’m glad they called as soon as they lost it since it was likely that it could have gotten carried out to sea with another tide cycle.

I met Bo and Alex along with their family at water’s edge and they explained exactly where he threw the frisbee from and the direction that he threw it when his ring slipped off his finger.  I started pursuing a tight overlapping grid in the precise location.  The site was unusually clean for our local beaches.  Within about 10 minutes and on my 4th or 5th pass I found the one and only target of the day – Alex’s ring!

It was great to help this appreciative family out.

Lost Hearing Aid Found – Raleigh

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

I got a call from Don, a nice gentleman who had lost a hearing aid while working outside on his property. I said I’d be happy to come out and see if I could find it for him — I then checked the property on Google Maps. Holy Cow! Don’s property was about 8 1/2 acres! (I could search for days and not cover it all.) Don met me when I arrived and explained that he knew exactly where the hearing aid had gotten lost. He’d been pruning a bush and when he turned his body, a branch snagged the little wire that connects the « in-your-ear » part of the hearing aid with the « behind-your-ear » part. He felt it come off and after checking his ear, was positive he had the location nailed down. He put a little landscaping flag in the ground so I could search in the correct spot. The most likely scenario was that the hearing aid had been « launched » by the branch into the bush he’d been trimming, so that’s where I started my search. Using two different detectors, I spent probably 20 minutes covering that bush top to bottom and side to side — no luck. I turned to back out a little bit and widen my search, when I saw the hearing aid caught on a branch, most probably the branch that plucked it out of his ear in the first place.

I took the hearing aid over to Don who was extremely happy that he didn’t have to buy a replacement (if you don’t wear hearing aids, you may not know – these things are not cheap!). It’s usually about putting a ring back on a finger, a necklace back around a neck, or a bracelet back on a wrist, so putting a hearing aid back in an ear was a first for me! Another happy ending!

Miriam’s white gold, 1.15 carat solitaire diamond engagement ring with additional round diamonds on each side. White gold, half-infinity diamond wedding band and a white gold, diamond channeled half-infinity anniversary ring

I received a call from Miriam who lost three rings: her diamond engagement ring, diamond wedding band, and a similar style diamond anniversary ring with channeled diamonds halfway around the band.

For an entire week Miriam looked everywhere in the house and outside where she was doing yard work. No matter how many hours she and her husband Curtis searched for the three rings, they were nowhere to be found.

At some point, Miriam went online and found METAL DETECTING ADVENTURES INC, a local metal detecting business in the Maryland area. The website directed the woman to THE RING FINDERS, an elite international directory of metal detectorists who specialize in recovering lost rings and other items. That’s when she contacted me, THE RING HERO, Brian Rudolph.

I spoke with the distraught woman for some time on the phone, asking every question imaginable. Unfortunately, the garbage was already thrown out, but I gave her some other suggestions as to where to look for Miriam’s irreplaceable keepsakes. She said that she would call me back to schedule a visit if she still couldn’t find the rings.

Two weeks later (3 weeks since the initial disappearance of the jewelry), the sad and frustrated woman from Silver Spring, Maryland, called me back once again and requested my assistance in trying to recover her very special « symbols of love ». I was excited to help!

A couple of days later I arrived at the house. Between the two of us, we concluded that the only place left to search for the missing rings would be in and around the flower beds in front of the house.

I got out all of my metal detecting equipment and explained to Miriam how the search would take place. She showed me approximately 6 or 7 different locations around the front yard where she was weeding and trimming several weeks back.

Section by section, I metal detected each suspected area including scanning in and around a large hydrangea plant. I eventually moved over to the flower beds located adjacent to the foundation of the brick house. There were all kinds of miscellaneous pieces of metal discovered throughout the process of searching for the precious jewels. But eventually a very promising signal popped up on my detector screen! I got down on my knees and pinpointed the target with a handheld device. There buried in the leaves was the most beautiful sight! I found the white gold, 1.15 carat engagement ring with an additional round diamond on each side! I was beyond excited! My client began to cry!

I returned under the bushes to search for the other two rings! Within minutes, I found Miriam’s white gold, half-infinity diamond wedding band and her white gold, diamond channeled half-infinity anniversary ring, as well!

I could not have been happier for my Australian born client who had been painfully tormented for weeks not knowing if she was ever going to see her rings ever again! Miriam thanked me profusely for all of my help, starting with the endless questions that I asked her (to help get a better understanding as to where the rings could have ended up) to the professional metal detecting sleuth work I did to successfully recover my client’s sentimental keepsakes!

Before I left Miriam’s property, we called her husband Curtis and gave him the good news. We then bowed our heads and gave thanks to the Lord for answering our prayers which we offered up to God prior to the beginning of the search! Indeed there was much to be thankful for!
