On 07/18/2020, I received a phone call from Rebecca requesting my help in finding her lost wedding rings in the sand on the beach in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Rebecca had been on the beach with her family when she took her wedding rings off of her finger in order to put sunscreen on her son. Rebecca placed her rings on their blanket right in front of her chair and she forgot to put them back on her finger. Rebecca stated that she did not notice that her rings were missing until they had left the beach so she went back to the beach to look for them and was unable to find them. Rebecca stated that a lady that was on the beach overheard that she had lost her rings and that same lady provided Rebecca with my telephone number. I met Rebecca at the beach and she showed me the area where she had been sitting when she took her rings off. I began a grid search of the area and during the first pass I recovered a quarter. I turned and began my second pass and as I got to the end of it I was able locate the two lost rings hiding in the soft sand. I handed Rebecca her recovered rings at which time she began to cry, she stated that she really did not think that I would be able to find her rings and then when I did she became emotional. Rebecca and I were starting to walk towards the dunes in order to take some pictures, I was greeted by a lady by the name of Donna and her husband. Donna had been the one who had given my telephone number to Rebecca, I had recovered a lost Gold/Diamond ring for Donna and her husband on Rehoboth Beach on 07/16/2018 and they had kept my information. I thanked them for the referral.

Engagement Ring Lost On Kure Beach, NC Found With Metal Detector

Bailey was spending a fun evening on Kure Beach with her family.  Bailey is also planning a September wedding.  She was asked to perform a cartwheel in the sand.  Before the attempt, she gave her engagement ring to her younger sister for safe keeping.   During the excitement and festivities, the ring slipped off of little sister’s hand into the sand.  Both sisters were very upset.  The following morning I get a call from Bailey’s father.  He explained what had happened and plans were made to meet just afternoon.   When I pulled the first target, a red can top, Dad yelled that I had found it!  I think that helped ease the stress levels.  Unfortunately, my 2nd target a silver can top gave Bailey false hopes it was her ring.   The 3rd target was the one we all had hope to recover!   The excitement & tears made the 2 hour drive to their location all worth while!

Gold graduation gift found in football fiend in Downers Grove, Il

Got a call last night, a Med Student lost a graduation gift from his grandmother.
Gift was give to him 20 years ago and his grandmother passed away a few weeks ago so this search had a lot of meaning.
He lost it while playing football on the campus field in Downers grove, Il.
My long range locator got me within 10 feet of the target and the Minelab Equinox did the rest.
He was one happy camper and the satisfaction of hitting it for him can’t be described.

She served up the ball and her ring at a private volleyball court.
Received permission to hunt and was able to locate it in about an hour.

July 21, 2020: On Sunday, Maria was enjoying the Pelham Lake Park gazebo with her friends and family. She briefly removed her ring and it accidently dropped, bouncing off the table, falling in between the deck boards into the water. Maria attempted to find the ring but realized the depth and mud made it impossible to find without a detectorist’s help. She called me and we set up a time to search.

Every search is unique, and this one was no exception. The lake around and under the gazebo is about 4 feet deep. The mud was about 1 ½ feet deep. I worked my way from the shore and stooped under the gazebo. The first detector did not work well in the mud. I made the trip back to my car and got my Excalibur. After an hour of laboring through fishing lures, bits of trash, and construction materials, I finally heard that lovely tone.

It was such a pleasure to meet Maria and the other lovely ladies. Their unabashed delight at seeing the ring made me so happy!

Mike was enjoying a beautiful day at the beach, playing in the warm ocean water with his children when he felt his wedding ring slide off of his finger! He had lost some weight recently but he never thought his ring would come off that easy. Thankfully Mike made a good mental note of where he was out in the water as he lined up with the north end of the Moontide Condo building and he also noted what time of the day it was which also proved very important. They immediately started searching thru the sand and running their fingers along the bottom desperately hoping to find his lost ring but after a good while they finally gave up. Mike was very discouraged as he had never lost his wedding ring in 13 years and now to have it gone so suddenly…it was very upsetting! Then a friend of his, also named Mike, mentioned hearing about a group of metal detecting specialists that help people find their lost jewelry called theringfinders. That was wonderful news and within the hour he gave me a call and explained his situation. It was evening and the tide was coming up and I assured Mike that according to the information he gave me, the best time to conduct a search would be the following day just before low tide. Mike was a bit concerned that his ring would be washed out to sea but after hearing that rings usually stay in the same area where they are dropped he agreed to meet me on the beach at 12:30pm the next day.

I met Mike and his dear family and we walked out onto the wet sand and soon I had my 8 flags in position and started my methodical grid search. My first target brought everyone to their feet and as they anxiously walked out to see what I had found, I raised a small piece of wire and assured them there may be more wire and bottle caps and coins, etc… On my 8th pass I got a strong signal with my waterproof Whites TDI Beach Hunter metal detector and in the first scoop there was Mike’s lost gold wedding ring! I put it on my finger and waved to the family indicating I had found a ring! They were all thrilled and we were high fiving each other as we made our way up the beach. (I always tell people that I have my family praying that I would find their ring and that God knows exactly where their precious item is and that He would put my coil over it. And today He did just that!).

How To Find A Lost Ring In Raleigh

I got a call from a man who had been moving a pile of limbs and branches from one part of his property to another. He knew he had his wedding ring on when he started and he noticed it was gone when he took his gloves off. We made arrangements for me to come look for the ring; he then called me back, saying he had a friend with a metal detector and wanted the friend to give it a shot before I came out. No worries. He called back the next day to tell me that the friend hadn’t found the ring and could I please come out. Sure!

The area where he was working was mostly wooded and he was moving the branches and limbs from that area to another. I started the search at the limb pile, assuming he lost the ring while reaching down, and if so, the ring might be on the ground at the bottom of the pile. As I began moving the limbs to the side so I could get my coil down closer to the ground, I came across a decent sized copperhead, just under 3 ft or so. Using one of the limbs, I encouraged him to move along to a different part of the yard. Once he was out of the way, I was able to find and return the ring. Another Happy Ending!

Lost Wedding Ring In Raleigh – Recovered!

I got a call late in the day that a wedding ring had been lost over the weekend. He’d been working out in the compost pile moving things around, moving dirt to the flower beds, trimming branches, etc. All the fun things that homeowners do. At the end of the day he realized his wedding ring had come off. He borrowed a friend’s metal detector, but hadn’t had any luck recovering the ring, which is when he called me. I met him at his house the next morning, and began searching the flower beds, garden paths, and compost pile. The ring turned out to be in the compost pile, amongst the yard trimmings, food scraps, coffee grounds, etc. As with most husband-ring-recoveries, he was happy, but his wife was overjoyed. On Saturday, Esmeralda and Rey were playing with friends in the water. When Esmeralda reached to catch a ball, her beautiful 10th anniversary diamond ring flew off her finger. They searched for hours to no avail. The next morning, Esmeralda emailed me for help.

Metal detecting for artifacts in the area is unlawful. So, I contacted the Stafford County Government to get permission for the search. Even though it was Sunday, I was able to reach Brett. He was very understanding and told me it was no problem as long as I was only looking for the ring.

I met Rey at the beach and he showed me where they thought the ring landed. The water was about waist deep and there were many families enjoying the shallows. Since the spot was crowded, it took more time than anticipated. I forgot all that when I found the ring in the scoop. I am so happy to have helped a couple of patriots like Rey and Esmeralda!!!

I was happy to retrieve trash during my search. As you can see in the photo, I removed jagged metal and glass just waiting to cut some unsuspecting swimmer’s foot.
