Lost Platinum Ring at Hermosa Beach, CA…Found.

Ed called me last Monday asking if I would be able to help him find his ring which he lost playing volleyball. I said I could, and we arranged to meet the next day. We met at the location, where he showed me what he was doing, and where he thought the ring had come off. I proceeded to search, and got a real nice hit about 20 minutes into the search. When I dug I received a bottle cap, and swung my coil over the area again, with no reply. I went on to search the whole court, and quite a bit of the area outside the court, with no results.

There were people who were arranged outside the court, and I did not want to burden everyone to move all of their stuff for me to search, so I mentioned to Ed that I would come back later in the evening when the people had moved. I only had that one good hit earlier, and told Ed that before I left for the afternoon, I would go to that spot again and recheck. I did and increased the sensitivity on my detector, and low and behold I heard the good sound I had heard before, which registered at about 10 inches. It took a few digs with the scoop until I was looking at the ring in its bottom. Well as you can see by Ed’s smile I was able to make his day.

If you lose your ring or other metal item of value, call as soon as possible. I will work hard to help you find what you thought might never be found again. I search,  Beverly Hills, Hermosa Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Seal Beach, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Torrance, Venice Beach, and all parks, yards, gardens, and ponds (to 5 foot depths) in all of Orange County, all of Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

Wedding Rings Found in Seekonk MA

Last Tuesday, Christine was walking a trail through a wooded area in Seekonk MA with her two daughters.  In a clearing near the path, she bent to brush off her daughter’s jacket, and her wedding band and diamond ring flew off of her hand.  They were lose as she had lost some weight.  Christine thought the rings had flown into leaves and brush that surrounded the clearing.  After searching the area, she couldn’t find either ring.  That evening, Christine and her husband, Bright, located me on the internet at theringfinders.com, and Bright called me for help.  The next day I met the couple in the area and had Christine reenact what had happened the previous day.  I determined that the rings had probably not flown into the brush and leaves but were on the ground in the clearing where they were lost.  Sure enough, Bright found her diamond ring on the ground in the clearing.  Immediately after, I was able to locate her wedding band.  It was a pleasure to help this couple and to see the rings back on Christine’s finger where they belong.

Wedding Band Found Under the Waves – Eastern Point Beach, Groton CT

  • from Stonington (Connecticut, United States)

A recent beachgoer contacted me to help find his lost wedding band. He was playing with his children in waist-deep water, and then it happened. The platinum band flew off into the water. After hours of searching with a mask and snorkel, no luck. The beachgoer even called over a local detectorist searching the dry sand for lost jewelry, still no luck. The beachgoer explained he was losing hope and reluctantly searched the web for advice on finding a lost ring in the ocean. After looking through The Ring Finders Directory, he decided to give me a call. I discussed the situation with him, and we decided it was still worth a shot. I came out with my underwater gear, and within the first 20 minutes of searching the surf, the beachgoer was reunited with his ring.

Even if a couple of days have gone by, the sentimental item you thought was gone forever can still be found. Give me, and we can figure out how to find your lost ring.

Lost White Gold Wedding Band .. Venice Beach, CA. .. Recovered

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Saturday Aug. 1, 2015

Kristy called me about 7pm from Venice Beach. She had lost he wedding ring believing it was in the sand at the beach. I was more than an hour and a half from her location. It would be dark before I got where she was. I asked for the details of how she lost it, before wasting her time waiting for me.
Kristy and her husband had spent the day with their two children at the beach. She put her two wedding rings in a pocket of her backpack. She believed that one of the rings may have fallen out sometime while getting things out of her backpack. She didn’t realize it was missing until she got back to the car. Returning to the lifeguard station near where they had been, the lifeguard on duty told her about TheRingFinders.
After I heard her story I told her there was a good possibility that the ring could be there. If she could wait to show me where they were sitting it could be an easy find.
Arriving at 8:30pm, we met in the Rose St.parking lot. Her husband had to stay with the kids who were sleeping in the car. Starting the search grid of about a 30 x 20 ft area. I drug my scoop down each side. I was looking for a small white gold wedding band. These can be tricky as they often sound like tin foil. The ring didn’t show up after covering that whole spot. Then Kristy told me that it could have fallen out at the nearby park. I told her to wait while I started to cross grid. I expanded 10ft outside the original box. The second pass north/south « Bam » a huge tinfoil sound. Wedding band in the scoop. I actually found it on the drag marker wher I had started my first pass. It’s game of inches as Chris Turner often says. A grateful lady smiling has her wedding back where it belongs. The family outing turned out to be a long day, but instead of a bad memory. Kristy and her family will remember this day as a good day at the beach. So will I . I hope I never get tired of seeing miracles.

How to Find a Lost Ring on the Beach in Branford, CT?

  • from Stonington (Connecticut, United States)

I received a very worried call around noon regarding a lost diamond ring in the sand. After already calling the local police and fire departments, the urgency in the caller’s voice was apparent. Within hours of receiving the call, I was able to reunite the diamond wedding band with its owner!

White Gold and Diamond Engagement Ring Found .. Malibu, CA.

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Pt. Dume State Beach, Malibu, CA. #2      ….  Saturday   April 4, 2015

I was at Pt. Dume State Beach on a ring search for Rachel. While waiting for people to leave the towel line search area. A lady walked up to me asking if she could use my services. This is what I call  » A Walk Up. » Her friend Joselyn had dropped her wedding ring set in the sand while putting on sunscreen. She was standing up when she dropped the two rings. ( less than 4 ft. ) The two ladies and their husbands searched for over two hours with their fingers finding only the smaller wedding band. They were amazed that the ring evaded their attempts to find it with their fingers in such a small area of sand.
Joselyn’s husband took off with the car to go into town trying to purchase a metal detector.
I walked over to the location in the sand near the parking lot. There was so much electrical noise interference I started to panic. I just thought I would listen to all those false signals hoping that my Minelab CTX 3030 could give me a solid signal. I got a good different sound and put my scoop into the sand. Up popped the beautiful engagement ring. Smiles and hugs made it a special occasion for all. Joselyn allowed me to set the ring back in the sand to take a photo, but she said she was afraid that it might get lost in the sand again. Her friend was glad they found the ring because she had to get to the airport for her flight back to England.
I went back to wait for people to leave so I could finish searching for the other lady’s engagement ring.

Military School Ring Found in Saunderstown, RI

  • from Charlestown (Rhode Island, United States)
Contact:

On January 30th, I received a call from Christina of Saunderstown. Her son, James, recently got home from deployment in the armed forces.  While playing with their dogs in the yard, James lost his military school ring in the snow.  James was very upset about losing the ring.  After searching for hours and even trying his luck with a rented metal detector, he could not find the ring.  Christina got my contact information from The Ring Finders website and called me.  I went to their home that same evening, even though it was already dark.  After over an hour of searching, I located the ring buried under a few inches of snow.  In his note of thanks, James wrote: « When I first lost the ring I thought it was forever lost. There are very few people who go out of their way to help others but you changed your daily routine and came down to help on the same day. I can’t thank you enough for your help and your professionalism throughout this process of finding my ring. »

Lost Diamond Engagement Ring … El Segundo, CA. … Found in Sand at Volleyball Court

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Saturday .. May 3, 2014

Scott called me about 4:30 pm asking me if I could help him find a ring lost in the sand in El Segundo Beach, CA. It was a good distance for me to drive, but I felt I could get there within an hour. When I arrived I met Scott in the parking lot and as we walked over to the volleyball court I got another call for a lost ring in Laguna Beach. I asked them if they could wait and they agreed to wait till I finished this search.

Scott said his fiancé was playing volley ball when her platinum/diamond engagement ring went flying off her finger. These are usually easy searches, except when I turned on my detector there was a lot of radio or microwave signals interfering with my detector. I was lucky enough to have my CTX 3030 detector which has a switch that eliminates this interference . After making the adjustments it was a short time till I found the beautiful ring. When I held the ring up all Scott and his fiancé’s friends applauded and yelled. I got about 3 or 4 hugs from some of her girl friends. After a few minutes to take some photos I ran to my car to drive to Laguna Beach.

Lost Platinum Wedding Band … Encinitas, Calif. … Found in the Sand

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Sunday,  April 13, 2014

Dave called me Sunday evening about 7pm. He had lost his platinum wedding band in the sand at a beach in Encinitas, Calif.  I told him that I could meet him in one hour depending on traffic.  When I met him it was dark, that’s not a problem because I have a head lamp and several flashlights. Dave was with his son, Jake and as we walked to the beach Dave told me how he lost his ring.  As Dave and his family were leaving the beach he picked up his towel and brushed off some sand with his hand. The ring slipped off into the sand. The whole family searched through the sand with no success.  After returning to their vacation condo they, googled metal detector and my name came as member of TheRingFinders. These can be very easy searches, but strange things happen so I try not to be over confident.. The most important factor that helped me find this ring was that Dave marked the location. My CTX 3030 made short work of finding this platinum ring before the high tide could move the sand around..  It was a pleasure to meet Dave and his son Jake.  I hope Dave, Jake and the rest of the family enjoy their vacation on a beautiful California beach before returning to Las Vegas.

NEW YEARS DAY ..Jan.1, 2014

It’s a beautiful sunny first day of 2014 and I received a call from Hamilton at 9 am. He lost his wedding ring yesterday while playing volleyball at the beach. Some of Hamilton’s friends searched through the sand for a couple hours with no success. Later that night his wife, Karen got on the computer to try to purchase or rent a metal detector when she located TheRingFinders.com and my contact information.
After setting up a meeting location, I grabed another cup of coffee to drive 24 miles down senic Pacific Coast Hwy.
When I met Hamilton he told me the rest of the story. He had lost his original wedding ring 6 months ago and his wife had bought him a new ring and given it to him for Christmas. He had only had it on for less than a week before losing the new one. Normally Hamilton said he would have taken it off when doing any kind of sport activity, but he was proud to be wearing his new ring. He is in the military and will be leaving in 4 days for 6 months of duty out of the country.
We got to the volley ball court and I asked him what type of material the ring was made of which turned out to be important. It was Silver and Gold and it came up as an unusual reading of 1-46 on my Minelab CTX 3030 detector. It’s easy to get lazy and listen for a low tone or a gold/silver/tunsten ID number, but mixed metals give odd readings on the newer detectors. The ring was found after 5 minutes of searching and less than 2 hours after receiving the call.
New years eve was probably a downer for them, but it was a privilege to help them start the new year by finding his wedding ring.
The smile on Hamilton’s and Karen’s face was one more for me to remember. It was certainly a special way to start off a new year for me too.
