Wedding ring Found AGAIN at Carpinteria State Beach

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

It was nearly two years ago that I got a call from a customer who had lost her rings while moving her chair at the beach while camping at Carpinteria State Beach. As I always do when i make a recovery I wish the folks well and joke that I hope to never see them again under these circumstances. Fast forward to today and I got a call from you know who, the same client from two years ago at nearly the same spot on the beach! This time instead of the chair being the culprit it was her young son. She had placed the rings on a small table while she put sunscreen on her son. For some reason he decided to pick up her rings and bring them to her but dropped one in the sand.

Unlike two years ago, instead of buying a metal detector and spending 5 hours trying to figure out how to use it she knew right away to call me at 805-290-5009. We laughed a bit and I assured her I would be out within the hour and have her ring back.

In about 3 minutes I had the ring in the scoop and it was back where it belonged. She made me promise to not put a picture of her in my blog because she was my first repeat customer. I assured her it’s always good to have a friend in the ring recovery business for those « just in case » times like these. We all had a good laugh and once again I told her I hoped I wouldn’t have to see her again under these circumstances.

If you have lost a ring do the smart thing and call or text me at 805-290-5009. I’m retired so I’m often available immediately to help you recover your ring in the sand, the water, the dirt or the grass.

Platinum Wedding Band Lost in Sunnyvale, CA…FOUND!!!

The Bay Area Ring Finders Brendon Chapman… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP     925-580-2590

I have been requested for a string of esoteric recoveries involving planning, special equipment, and unusual conditions as of lately.  This was NOT one of them!

The most difficult part of this recovery would be the hour commute to the site.  I was requested to search for a lost platinum men’s wedding band on a sand volleyball court in Sunnyvale, CA.  This recovery was completed before the client could even complete the search contract.  Everyone was extremely surprised and happy to have located the ring so quickly!  The couple had only been married 6 months and it was the second time the ring had been lost.  I jokingly told them to keep my number on speed dial!  We made the recovery!

To the family… Thank you for trusting me with your ring recovery!

Two Gold Necklaces Lost In The Beach Sand, In Saco, Maine, Found With A Metal Detector

  • from Old Orchard Beach (Maine, United States)

On Sunday Morning, July 21st, I once again, was being tagged and PM’s were being sent to me, at The Ring Finders of Maine, Facebook Page.

A local Facebook site had a post about 2 lost Gold Necklaces, one with a Diamond.
This is the Facebook post, below

“This may be a stretch, but it’s worth a try. My daughter, lost her gold necklaces at Ferty Beach today. One has a diamond, the other a rectangular charm. We were at the main entrance you may call it where there are 2 parking lots below and 1 closest to the beach entrance. We parked in the lower lot directly across from upper lot.
We were to the right on the beach when you enter. Towards the back fairly close to a landing/deck with many white chairs, I assume for Airbnb customers possibly. We left today around 2:30. They were left in the mesh cup holder of her beach chair. 😞
I suppose there could be a chance of it falling on the ground in the parking lot too. She is really bummed and we have returned home to VT now.
If someone happens to find, we would be forever grateful! Please DM me.”

At this point, I saw another PM, come in. It was from Arla, the originator of the Facebook post and it was her daughter that had lost the two gold necklaces. The PM said

“I would appreciate your help!”
My daughter, Kaitlyn, is on the right wearing the necklaces
I parked here and my daughter loaded the beach chair. It is possible it dropped out of the mesh pocket of the chair at this time. Who knows”

I immediately replied, telling Arla

“Ok, I can go now. Hopefully not to many people there yet. Also hope no one detected the area, last night”. It was determined that Arla was at Bayview beach, Saco, ME and not at Ferry Beach State Park.

I then left and headed to Bay View Beach. Once I arrived, I walked over to where Arla and Kaitlyn, had parked. I just wanted to perform a visual search, of the asphalt, from where they parked, to the beach. I didn’t see the necklaces. Once I arrived, at at beach, I started searching, as I made my way, to where their chairs had been. Nothing found. Once I arrived at their location, from yesterday, Arla and I communicated, via FaceTime, to be certain I was in the correct location. Since Arla and Kaitlyn had already returned home, to Vermont, this was the best way to verify, I was where I needed to be.

I performed a vertical grid of the area, with no luck. I decided to continue with the grid search and work my way towards, the Lifeguard Stand and beach access path. This would have been the path they took, as they left the beach. The beach was starting to fill up and a few beach goers, were now in the area. I did the best I could, to go around them, but potentially missing the necklaces, because of their blankets and chairs. After going around, one such beach set up, I suddenly received a nice loud signal, through my headphones. I looked down at my coil and I couldn’t believe it. I could actually see part of the necklace and the rectangular pendant, still partially, on top of the sand. I reached down and picked it up. When I pulled the rectangular pendant out of the sand, the other necklace, with the diamond, came out with it. I had both necklaces. The necklaces were all tangled up , with each other.

I immediately took a photo of the entangled necklaces and sent the photo, to Arla. She immediately replied

“Omg!!!!”

Arla then confirmed those are the necklaces, that belongs to Kaitlyn. The necklaces were a match, to the ones, in the photo, that Arla had sent me. We made plans to communicate, once I got home and Arla had left church.

Later in the day, I received the shipping address, so I could mail the necklaces back to her. Arla and Kaitlyn are extremely happy and grateful, to be getting the necklaces back. The necklaces are very sentimental. Arla told me

“The diamond was given to Kaitlyn, by me years ago and the charm was given to her by her best friend who got it from Spain”.

Just so thankful that I was able to help Arla and Kaitlyn , in their time of need.

CALL SURF CITY RING FINDER 714-944-0555

Kyle lost his ring while playing cornhole at the beach yesterday. Monette, a friend of Kyle’s wife posted on a Huntington Beach facebook page about the lost ring. I reached out to her and offered my services. Monette met me at the beach the next morning and gave me great info on where t  hey were sitting and playing cornhole.

I checked the area where the canopy was set up and the ring was not there, so I moved to the area where the cornhole game was and that’s where the ring was found.

Greg, a friend is showing Kyle’s ring and I am wearing the ring after I found it.

Lost White Gold & Diamonds Engagement Ring at 4 Seasons Beach Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a call yesterday from Jaymie who lives on Oahu telling me her friend Precious from Nigeria had just lost her White Gold & Diamonds Engagement Ring along the shore of 4 Seasons Beach near the Sailing Catamaran.  Jaymie got my contact info from her Uncle Britton who has been a long time detectorist on Oahu.  I told her I would go first thing in the morning.  As I was checking the surf report and having been there earlier that day my fear was the ring of that size could wash up on shore and someone else find it.  I decided I would just have to go immediately and see what develops.  When I arrived,  it was a very high tide and water was coming up to the beach chairs.  I started at the Catamaran and worked towards Aulani as the location pic Jaymie sent me suggested.  On the fifth leg,  as I was going up onto the wet sand I got a loud #26 on the Manticore and in one scoop there was Precious’ amazing ring in the scoop.  I immediately went to my car to give Jaymie the great news.  Jaymie said she was about ten minutes away and asked if we could meet at the Lagoon 1A parking lot.  Of course we did and I was able to secure the ring to her for Precious.  Later that evening they sent me the heart warming photo of two friends with so much joy on their faces.  Much Aloha to Precious & Jaymie!

West Yarmouth, MA: Lost Pinky Ring Found and Returned

  • from Cape Cod (Massachusetts, United States)

July 17, 2024

Zack was on vacation enjoying one of the many small beaches with friends. While frolicking in thigh deep water he felt his pinky ring slip off his finger. Others on the beach offered the information about TheRingFinders and another member’s phone number and called. Unfortunately, Luke was on his way off Cape Cod for the weekend and could not help except to pass my number onto Zack. A call to me and of course I was on my way to what was to be a quick return. Well, that was not to be.

Zack told me that he was very sure of he area he lost the ring at. With the information of the area and depth in the water he was when the ring fell off, I started searching parallel to the shore line with no success. Time to search perpendicular to the shore line, gridding the area. Nothing. Maybe as Zack next suggested he might have been a bit more the the right and so I opened up the search area. Again, nothing. Zack then said “No, I am very sure I was over here…again nothing. The tide was coming in and it was getting late. I called off the search for the evening and would be back the next day.

The morning came and I and detecting partner Leighton were on our way for another search. About forty minutes into the search in the original area, I found the ring. Hey, if you miss the ring by an inch, it might just as well had been a mile. I just did not pass my search coil over the ring the day before.

Zach had gone to another beach and it was not for another couple of hours and a cup of iced tea that we met up with Zack at his vacation rental for the returning of the ring. And as usual pictures, stories and many thanks with smiles all around, Leighton and I left for another beach to do some recreational detecting with no pressure to find a specific target.

Ring recovery on Monterey Beach

  • from Monterey (California, United States)

Was able to help recover this 14k wedding ring, on Monterey Beach, Del Monte Beach yesterday.  « Jessica » had been standing in the ebbing surf, with wet sandy hands.  She felt her ring come off , in the surf’s edge, roiling ebbing foamy water.   The sand and water immediately « swallow » the ring.  So that when the water/wave pulls out:  All they see is sand.  No ring 🙁

A full day’s high tide came and went before we connected.   She had the approx area to describe via text pix and map.   And with a little study of the tide charts, was able to determine a probable parallel in the wet inter-tidal zone.   After 14 other targets (pennies, pulltabs, etc….), the ring surfaced.

Glad to help.  Your heirloom is safe in your family  🙂   Thanx for the tip.
