Conner was taking a short cut home one rainy dark night. This was one of the steepest hills I’ve done a recovery on. He lost his footing, slipped and fell. When he regained himself he noticed his finger felt naked. Yep his platinum wedding ring of 1 year was missing. He figured it just went missing when he fell but he wasn’t đź’Ż sure. They searched for days and even rented a metal detector. He then turned to the internet where he found the ring finders site. He showed me the area and the rest is history. The video shows just how extreme the area was. It was my honor to recover such a sentimental item for him.

Found Ring at Newton Athletic Park

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Metal Detecting service- Lost your ring or any jewelry, car keys, cell phone? Don’t wait until it’s too late. Call ASAP 24/7 service Chris Turner 778-838-3463.

I received a call the other day in regards to a Lost Ring at a park in Newton,  after asking a few questions and being told the  search area wasn’t that big I decided to hit the park first before my beach search as I figured this would be a quicker recovery and I can focus more time on the beach.

When I got there, the young lady showed me the area where she believed the ring was lost and what she thought wasn’t that big of an area turned out to be a big area… I guess what people don’t realize is miss it by an inch miss it by a mile I have to lock down and provide a north south east west grid search in order to eliminate the search area and hopefully find what I’m looking for.

Let’s not forget the questions are so important in order to get you as close to where it was lost and save time, there was four potential search areas. One in the middle wasn’t bad. The two on the sides were tougher and after asking a few more questions we realize there was another area that needed to be searched and as Murphy’s Law would have it that’s where I found it four hours later in the last search area… sometimes it could take minutes to find what you’re looking for other times it can take hours or even longer… the smile makes it worth it

I love my job!!

Finding a Small Gold Wedding Band at Rosie’s Dog Beach, Belmont Shores, CA.

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

** Mathew was at Rosie’s Dog Beach, Belmont Shores, California with his friends. His friend’s wife lost a small plain gold wedding band near where they were sitting. She didn’t feel it come off, but they had not left the area before noticing the ring missing from her finger.

After exhaustive searching with their hands, Mathew contacted me asking for help. I met them soon after the call and was able to find the small ring for them. It was a bit difficult as I missed it on the first north / south grid of 50’x50’. It showed up on the east/west grid. They were about to give up when it didn’t show up on the first grid. It was a happy moment for all and I really like it when friends can do favors by searching the internet for a ringfinder.

White Gold Wedding Band and Engagement Ring, Lost in the Surf, Found and Returned in Myrtle Beach SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

A little after 6:30 p.m., I received a text from Maryline that said, “Hello, I found your contact on the internet to help find lost rings. Lost mine today on Myrtle Beach. I’m wondering if you could please help out.” I asked her to call me so I could get the details. When she called, I learned she had lost her rings in the soft sand, and she could put me in the general area. I asked her to text me the address and was on my way.

On the way there, I got another text from her saying, “We are checking some pictures we took, and it seems like it could have fallen on the wet sand or the sea.” Uh-oh, I’m thinking we may have a problem if the rings were lost in the water. We were just coming off of high tide; so I might not be able to reach them. I called her to verify the time. She said one of the pictures showing the rings, while holding her baby in the surf, was about 4:30. Ok, that was about an hour before high tide. So, things were looking good again, the tide had turned, and it was getting close to an hour after high tide.

I met Maryline in the parking lot of the resort and we walked a couple of blocks to the beach. She walked me out on the beach and showed me where they had been sitting. She then took me down towards the water and showed me the general area where she was sitting with her baby. I started a north/south grid line about ankle deep with plans to work up the slope towards the dry sand. My thought was that if she was sitting in the surf and had put her hands in the wet sand, her rings would come right off her finger. I was probably three quarters of the way up the slope and hit a solid 6 on the VDI (visual display indicator), which is exactly what I was expecting for a white gold ring. A couple of inches away I was picking up an 8 on the VDI, again what I’d expect for a little bigger white gold ring. I took a scoop of wet sand and dumped it on the beach. I immediately saw her small wedding band. Boom!! I held it up and Maryline came running, jumping and screaming to get her ring. Now to get the engagement ring out of its hiding place in the sand. Unfortunately, the waves were filling up the hole with water and sand, burying the engagement ring. Suddenly, I wasn’t picking up the engagement ring on the detector. I think the ring got turned on its side and my detection area was now very small. So basically, I was digging blind and pulling up big scoops of sand. I finally pulled up a scoop and before I could run the detector over it, Maryline’s brother-in-law, TD saw it and reached down in the ball of sand and pulled it out. Maryline started jumping up and down and she got so excited that another couple came to see what was going on. Finding people’s lost items and handing it back to them never gets old.

TD – Thanks for your help!

Maryline – Thank you for calling me and allowing me to help find your lost treasures.

Lost wedding ring found in Bartlett

  • from Marietta (Ohio, United States)

Wedding band that was lost in January has been found.

I received a call from Amanda asking for my help. Her husband had lost his beautiful custom made wedding band back in January in a dog kennel. They tried a cheap metal detector on their own but had trouble with all the metal fencing. She finally googled and found our website

https://theringfinders.com/Steve.Wagner/

Here is her story

My husband was laying hay for the winter for our dog on January 10th 2025…..he was taking string off hay and it fell…we went to harbor freight and bought a metal detector and tried for days and even bribed my younger kids… my kids looked for 5 hours one day… I even bribed my friend who looked all day… then I looked up metal detector services and I found Steve… Steve was coming out the same day because he could tell I had been stressed for months… I custom made this ring for my husband and when Steve came he found it within 20-25 mins of him looking… super professional and caring

How to Find a Lost Ring in the Sand: Expert Tips from NJ Ring Finder Edward Trapper

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

I was at a family barbecue on a holiday weekend when I received a call from Jodi. She was at a private beach club  and had lost a cherished family heirloom ring. The ring was deeply sentimental, and she was understandably distressed. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it out that day due to bad thunderstorms rolling through the area—it’s never safe to be on the beach during lightning. The good thing was the location was private and no detectorists would be there.

I asked Jodi to open Google Maps, take an aerial screenshot of the location, and mark the spot where her chairs had been set up when the ring was lost. After she sent it over, I called her back to clarify a few details. We made arrangements for me to arrive first thing the next morning, Jodi also coordinated with the groundskeeper to ensure I’d have access to the beach.

Early the next morning, I arrived and started heading toward the marked location. As I walked, I noticed a large red cone directly in my path. I thought, That cone looks like it might be near the spot. Sure enough, Jodi had placed it right where she thought the ring had fallen—something she’d forgotten to mention!

Within just a couple of minutes of scanning the area, I got a strong, promising signal. I carefully used my sand scoop, sifting through the soft white sand. And there it was—Jodi’s beautiful ring! I took a few pictures of the find since Jodi hadn’t arrived yet.

When Jodi arrived about 20 minutes later, I handed her the ring. She was amazed and overjoyed. As we talked, she shared the story behind the ring: it was custom-made piece, with three birthstones, representing her three daughters, making it irreplaceably sentimental.

Every recovery has its own unique significance, reflecting how much these items mean to their owners. This was another heartfelt recovery to add to the books.
