Lost diamond engagement ring in Hanover, Pennsylvania… Found!

I was contacted in late August of 2025, via the website, to see if I could locate it. On the first day I could only be on site for two hours due to the temperature in the 90’s without any shade. When I returned, determined to spend all day or days if necessary, the weather was much more cooperative.

Continuing where I left off, I located the ring in 45 minutes. It was in excellent condition with no evidence of being touched by mower blades. I was very concerned about the ring because the property is maintained with a zero turn mower. Had that mower picked it up, I was afraid of what condition it would be in. Fortunately, the grass had a root structure that was extremely strong. The ring was trapped in those roots, above dirt level, and the mower never touched it. I was totally relieved as was the young lady who has it once again.

Grandfather’s Gold Wedding Band on a Gold Chain Found After Being Lost on North Topsail, NC Beach

Jon’s family arrived for a few days vacation and spent the morning enjoying the beach, waves, and weather. Jon took off his necklace, which held his late grandfather’s wedding band, and placed it on his lap. It wasn’t until they returned to their room that Jon realized his necklace was missing. That evening, Jon’s wife made a social media post hoping for its return, but I felt she revealed too much information about its location. I came across her post, sent her a private message, and reached out to her after some detective work. We connected quickly, and I headed to North Topsail Beach. Despite doubts about finding the necklace after 12 hours, I met Jon, who described the events of the day before heading back to his room. I began my search, and after a few passes, my machine picked up a non-ferrous signal. Using my pinpointer, I located the target, scooped into the sand, and uncovered the gold chain, pulling it from its sandy hiding spot.

Lost Tungsten Ring in the Sand Found in Westland Michigan

A Fist Pump Serve…..

….was all Dennis could hope for as he spiked the ball down to score the winning point on the volleyball court as darkness fell upon the game. With a successful win the players congratulated one another with high 5’s and danced around on the court. After Dennis got home he noticed his ring missing. Rushing back to the court he looked around in the dark with no luck. On site he showed me what went on. I had 3 places the ring could be. Either side of the court or the opposite side of the court out in the thick grass. I elected to start in the area he was standing when the final serve was given. My MXT metal detector was wanting to score but gave no signals until I was right under the net. A very nice signal came thru. Pushing thru the sand with my pin-pointer metal detector revealed his ring! Dennis was totally surprised that the ring was there and felt even more victorious that this meeting at the net scored another memorable victory of a different kind that will last a lifetime.

Lost man’s gold wedding band found in woods- Wyckoff New Jersey

Russel was visiting his Father in an assisted living center. They were sitting together near a wooded area.Russell cut the end off a cigar and threw it in the woods and his gold wedding band also flew into the woods. He searched and could not find the ring. He contacted me through RingFinders and we met the following morning.Following his directions I searched the wooded area and found the ring! Russel assured me his wife would be ecstatic at the rings return. Another disaster averted!

I received a call from Danny who had lost his platinum wedding band in Little Lake St. George in Liberty, while swimming at the cabin he and his wife had rented for the week. Despite the gooey mucky lake bed I was able to locate and recover this ring in about 20 minutes. Happy to help avert a potential vacation disaster and add another one to the book of smiles.

18K Gold earring recovered from front garden

I was asked by Kashif to try and find a small 18 K gold earring that his wife had lost recently, the earring was lost when his wife took off her jumper whilst gardening on the front lawn .

I scanned the other earring , so as to know what sound and numbers I was looking for , and began scanning the area of lawn that the earring was thought to lie in , after 20 minutes of searching I had a solid repeating signal and a corresponding number ( 15 ) on my manticore detector , showing the target was only 1 inch deep in the lawn thatch , after retrieving the small golden earring , I presented it to the very thankful and amazed owner , who had her doubts if something that so small could ever be found and recovered .

Gold Wedding Ring Lost In The Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Surf, Found With A Metal Detector

On Saturday August 16, I was headed to Boston, when I received 2 different phone calls, concerning lost rings, both located in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Since I wasn’t available, I called Gary Hill, to help out. Gary searched the first location and found all three lost rings, that you have already read about. While Gary was searching, down in front of  The Brunswick, I called him with another lost ring, just south of the Waves Oceanfront Resort. Once Gary finished up at The Brunswick, he walked down to the next location and met with Jim and Sarah. While tossing the football around, with his son, Noah, Jim’s wedding ring came off and landed in the surf. Being in the water, while throwing the football around, Jim’s finger became wet and the cold water most like shrunk his finger a little, resulting in a lost ring. Once Gary arrived, Jim told showed him the area where the ring was but unfortunately, the tide was coming in and the waves were too large, to enter the water, for a metal detecting search. Gary told Jim and Sarah that he would return the next day, as the tide was receding and grid search the area.

Since Jim and Sarah were only down for the day, from Woodstock, New Hampshire, they gave Gary excellent coordinates. The ring was at the Bay Street access path and directly in front of the house, with the red roof. The ring was lost at approximately 2:00pm, halfway between high and low tide. Gary told them he would arrive at 8:30am, for an 11:54am low tide. Gary would have approximately 3 1/2 hours, to follow the tide out and locate the ring. Jim and Sarah. Gary started between the house with the red roof and grid searched back and forth, to the lifeguard station. Gary then split the distance in half, as he was approaching the low tide area. Gary received a nice loud low tone, reading 23 on his VDI screen. After almost 3 hours, Gary was sure this was the ring. He took a big scoop of sand and dumped it onto the hard wet sand. He removed his pinpointer, located the target and saw a White Gold Wedding Ring. He has found Jim’s ring. Gary call Jim, at his home in New Hampshire and they made plans to meet up today, Saturday August 23rd, for Jim to receive his very sentimental wedding ring back. Once Gary returned Jim’s ring, Jim couldn’t thank Gary enough and Gary couldn’t be happier for helping Jim out in his time of need. Thank you Gary, another outstanding recovery and 4 rings, in two days. Smiles all the way around. 😃❤️🙏

Massive Gold Chain Found in Va Beach and Returned

At first the owner said it was in 7 feet of water so I took my boat and snuba gear out but the GPS was closer inshore. I pulled the boat out of the water and approached from the shore. The tide had gone down and found it in less than 5′.  It was a 14k gold chain that weighed 74 grams! Almost 2 1/2 ounces of gold! Jesus was a happy man!

I got a call from Annie, the sister of a man named Jim. She sounded worried and emotional.

Jim had lost his white gold wedding band while swimming in the ocean at Sea Isle City, New Jersey.

A powerful wave hit him, and the ring slipped off his finger into the rough water.

Annie explained everything over the phone. The family was upset and hoping I could help recover the ring.

As Ring Finder John, I’ve recovered many rings along the Jersey Shore. This wasn’t my first Sea Isle search.

I met Jim and the family at the next low tide. The ocean was still rough and churning.

Jim showed me the area where the ring had likely fallen off. We hoped to find it quickly.

After hours of searching, I came up empty. No sign of the wedding band that day.

I returned the next low tide. Conditions were still difficult. Waves and shifting sands made recovery harder.

Again, no luck. But I wasn’t giving up on this lost ring in Sea Isle City just yet.

For the next few days, I watched tide charts closely and waited for calmer water conditions.

On the seventh day, I returned during low tide. The ocean had finally calmed a little.

While scanning the area, I got a deep, solid signal in the wet sand.

I dug carefully—and there it was! A beautiful white gold wedding band, shining in the sunlight.

After seven days underwater, I finally held it in my hand.

I called the family right away. Jim was thrilled beyond words when he saw his lost wedding ring.

He slipped it back on his finger, smiling with relief and joy. The whole family was grateful.

Recovering a lost ring in the ocean takes patience and persistence—but it’s always worth it.
