Lost wedding ring in the grass, Manahawkin NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

I was over on LBI checking out the beach when I received a call from Stephen. He had been doing yard work earlier in the day and noticed his wedding ring was not on his finger when he was wrapping it up for the day. Stephen had stated that between raking leaves, trimming some bushes, and a few other odds and ends around the yard, somehow his wedding ring went missing. I asked him if anything was brought to the recycling center, and his response was no, which was a big relief. I told him I could swing by in about 30 min. which worked perfect for the both of us. Once I arrived we went over in detail exactly what he was doing, and then we narrowed it down to the most likely place his ring could have been lost. After a short discussion, we headed over to the area he had been bagging some leaves, and in the same spot he had been loading brush into cans. I made a half dozen passes with my machine, when I received a really nice signal, and BINGO, there was Stephens wedding ring just a few inches under some yard debris. The look on his face was priceless as I handed his lost ring back.

Nicholas called wondering if I could come out and locate his wife’s lost engagement ring. She had lost it in some very tall grass on a small hillside, and he was unable to find it. I told him I would come and do a search for him, gathered my equipment, and was on my way.

When I got there Nicholas was waiting for me. He was able to explain how the ring was lost, and was able to narrow down the area where it might have gone. The grass was fresh, and pliable so I was able to sweep the coil to lean the grass over, and get as close to the ground as possible. It took only about 10 minutes to find the ring, and when I showed Nicholas, he was very happy knowing the ring was safe for his wife of only about 6 months. It was great knowing that something that was thought lost forever was able to be reunited again.

Lost Men’s Wedding Band at Aulani Beach Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a text last night from Kristofer who lives in Southern California and was on his Honeymoon with his lovely wife Jizelle and staying at Aulani Resort.  He found me on the RingFinders site.  Kristofer texted just as he entered the water his ring slipped off and disappeared in knee deep water.  Looking at the surf report the west side was forecast for 40 foot surf tomorrow so I told him I’d come first thing in the morning.  Kristofer gave me a decent description of the search area so when I arrived the next morning I started an immediate hunt.  About twenty minutes into the hunt I got a screaming target in chest deep water and surprisingly it was the ring.  Must of had some major wave action over night for the ring to get that deep.  In any case, I called Kristofer with the good news and him and Jizelle came down to the beach for the return.  We had a few laughs and hugs and they were obviously overjoyed that the ring was back on his finger.  Aloha to Kristofer & Jizelle!

Lost class ring swimming Johnson City, TN

This was a great recovery! I decided to go diving and metal detecting to see what I could find. I hit on this class ring after about 45 minutes of searching. I searched for the owner but had no luck. It stayed on my counter top for about four months. The school where he went to would not provide any information and no one on the alumni page would respond to my messages. I posted the ring on the lost and found class ring site and had a representative from Joslin’s contact me. She was able to provide me with a last name and after a quick search on Facebook I found him. He said he lost the ring swimming fourteen years ago and was very happy to get the ring back.

The day prior, Carl had been clearing snow in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, when his treasured diamond and gold chain, with a pendant, vanished into the snowy expanse. The following morning, Carl reached out to me with a phone call. Upon my arrival, I asked for additional details and set out with my metal detector to start the search. Buried under the thick blanket of snow, I detected a signal—it was the missing chain! Shortly after, the pendant was also uncovered.

 

It was a happy ending on a snow-covered day in Mullica Hill, NJ.

Sea Isle City NJ Lost Wedding Band Found by Ring Finders South Jersey John Favano

Dev was visiting friends in Sea Isle City, NJ for a few days when he realized his wedding band had gone missing in the sand. He suspected that it might have fallen out of his beach bag. Despite searching extensively, he was unable to locate the ring. Dev decided to reach out to me for help. Promptly responding to his call, I arrived at the scene within 20 minutes. Equipped with my metal detector, I meticulously conducted a grid search pattern. After a short while, the wedding band was in the scoop! Dev was happy to have his custom-made wedding band back on his finger in Sea Isle City,NJ.

Wedding Rings *AND* Engagement Rings Recovered *Twice*!

I got a call from a woman in Chapel Hill about a lost ring. Nothing surprising there — that’s why we’re here! It took three days of trading texts and leaving voicemails before we were actually able to speak person-to-person. Turns out the wife was gardening and lost both her engagement and wedding rings at some point during her work out in the yard. I drove to the house and the husband explained the situation. After they realized the rings were gone, they rented a metal detector and had a run at trying to locate the rings…without success. He then showed me where she’d been working that day — multiple areas in the front yard, side yard, and back yard, plus some piles of weeds and other plant debris — a sizable amount of ground to cover. I decided to start in the backyard first and scanned the « gardened » areas first, then added in some of the surrounding area to be sure I didn’t miss it. At this point the husband mentioned that she had also thrown some of the pulled weeds over the fence (not into the neighbor’s yard, but onto a little additional strip of their property…), so I decided to check that debris as well. The rings were both in the debris and about 3 feet apart. Apparently when she threw the handfuls of weeds over the fence, her rings had come off and followed the weeds. The wife wasn’t at the house when I found the rings so I couldn’t get a picture of them back on her fingers, but the husband was VERY happy that she was going to get her rings back where they belonged.

Fast forward a month and I get a call from the woman who had lost the rings while gardening, and she’d lost them again. Same scenario: lost the rings while gardening, lost both rings, didn’t know if in the front yard or the back, etc. She showed me the several spots where she’d been working and again, I decided to start in the back yard. I was able to locate both rings again – not over the fence this time – and returned them to her. The first two pics were from the first recovery and the next three were from the second recovery.

Laura’s wedding band and gold initial ring slipped off her finger while she was out in the ocean in waist-deep water. Amanda gave me a call and I was in Ocean City, NJ to meet her within a half-hour. I got some additional details and started a search. The first area had no targets. The second area in waist-deep water proved successful with my Excalibur 2 metal detector.

I received a text from Marcia wanting to know if I could possibly help her find her lost wedding ring in the grass in front of her business. I answered immediately with a few questions of my own…like what were you doing when you lost your ring? And when did this happen and did you actually feel it come off? Marcia responded saying she felt it come off and knows the exact area where she was standing when that happened and I assured her that it should be easy enough to find her lost ring? There are times when trying to locate a lost ring that it can be very difficult and the answers to all my questions help me determine the likely hood and possibilities of actually finding it. Marcia was thrilled to hear that I could come out the following day and conduct a thorough search.

After meeting Marcia and hearing the details of how she lost her ring I began my search. She said her ring was loose and on the small side…a size 5 to be exact and made of white gold. It took about 10 minutes to cover the small target area and I thought I had checked thoroughly every target that rang up in the small gold range but I was not able to find her lost ring. So I expanded the search area thinking that maybe it flew further than what we first calculated…and still I came up with no ring. This prompted me to grid search the same target area again only this time going perpendicular to my original search. I again checked every obvious and some « not so obvious » targets and then..BEEP, BEEP! A reading of « 44 » on my ATMax, Garrett metal detector in ZERO Mode indicated a good, shallow signal and there was Marcia’s lost wedding ring just hiding down in the grass. I wondered how I actually missed it the first time but the most important thing was…that we found it! I left it right there in the grass and had Marcia come and look where it had landed and we marveled at how easily it had vanished in the grass! After 27 years of married life she was able to wear her ring without that sinking feeling of having lost it. It truly is an honor to help those in need of theringfinders unique services and I thank God for leading me to Marcia’s lost ring and for the opportunity to be a blessing in her life.

Lost Hermes ring at the beach found with waterproof metal detector

If you lost a ring in the water, in the sand or in the backyard, call me, Louis 305-608-1870.  I have a metal detecting service and can quickly come out and find your lost item.  In these photos above the young lady lost an expensive Hermes gold ring. It was just given to her and did not fit well.  The waves were rough this day and one knocked the ring right off her finger.  Once a ring comes off your finger in the water and falls down to your feet, it quickly buries itself with the motion of the waves and is out of sight in seconds.   The best thing you can do it mark a spot on dry sand and try to remember how far out you were.  That way when I get there I can easily find it for you, as I did here.
