Wedding ring found in ditch – Aurora, Colorado

Recently I was contacted by Melissa. One night while in a heated debate with her husband her wedding ring found its way out of the car window. After a few hours cooler heads prevailed and the search for Melissa’s ring was on. They searched the site, which was marked by a field driveway, several times without luck.

I made arrangements to meet the couple and discussed what had occurred the night of the loss. After a quick re-enactment of the events that lead to the rings loss,  in which a « test ring » was thrown from the vehicle, my search began. Because of quality equipment, which includes a good set of headphones, I was only slightly hindered by the noise of the traffic on the road just feet away. However, with the Air National Guard taking off in their fighter jets just a short distance away and hitting their after-burners while directly overhead, I decided to take a short break. After about an hour of searching the ring was recovered not more than 6 paces from the location where our “test ring” had landed.

Heirloom ring found in yard in Longmont, Colorado

Recently I was contacted by Sheila, who lives in Florida. In February, she came to Colorado to visit her friend Barri from Longmont. While Sheila was here in Colorado, we received several inches of new snow. Since she is from Florida and snow is a rarity, she went outside to play around in the snow, throwing some snow balls and such. Apparently while gathering snow the ring fell off her pinky finger (it is a small ring). When they noticed later that evening that her ring was missing they searched in earnest for it but without success. After that several other people had visually looked for the ring but they also ended their searches without success.

As background information, Sheila’s mother passed away in 1998 and her father then kept her ring for the next 10 years until he passed away in 2008. There was a small battle between the 10 children of the couple as to who would get their mother’s wedding band. Well, Sheila was the one who ended up with the cherished ring.

When I arrived at the house, Barri and I looked over pictures and watched a couple short videos that were taken the day the ring was lost. In one of the videos you can clearly see the ring on her figure. There was a short series of photos that were taken moments later and the ring was missing in the last photo.  Thus we knew exactly when the ring was lost.

I put my detector together and began my search. Within 10 minutes of starting I had found the ring. We called Sheila to tell her the good news. To say she was happy would be a HUGE understatement. She was crying, almost uncontrollably, for longer than it took to find the ring.

Wedding band found in Denver’s City Park

The wedding band belonging to Ryan Evans had been lost for nearly 3 weeks. He and his wife had all but given up hope on finding his wedding ring when contact between Ryan and Jeff Lubbert took place. A time was quickly set for a meeting that same night at Denver’s City Park. Ryan described the events that led up to the loss of his ring and the how he discovered it was missing.

Ryan left to go for his evening jog leaving Jeff to his search. About 2 hours later Jeff had found a ring in the area that Ryan’s was lost. A few minutes later Ryan and his ring were reunited.

A quote from Ryan. “Excellent news! Got a call back from Jeff and he met me last night and nearly at the last minute just before he left he found the ring! WHAT A FEELING! My wife was ecstatic and I am getting it resized tomorrow. Jeff couldn’t be a better guy . . . ”

Golf Course Gold/South Vancouver/Lost… Gold Wedding Band… Reward!!!!

Today I received an email from a young man who lost his wedding band at Fraser View Golf Course in South Vancouver…Here is his email…
I lost my gold wedding band on Aug 18th at Fraser View Golf course. I am sure that I had it because I was late and still wearing it on the first tee…. my mistake, I never wear it when I play and normally keep it in my car. After the round, I could not find my ring. it is a basic gold band with my wedding date engraved in it (08-31-2003). As you can see my wedding anniversary is coming up and the ring means a lot to me.
I am hoping you can help, in fact I can come out with you to retrace
my steps.

Well we retraced his tracks and eliminated the most likely possibilities and our thoughts are that it could be any where from the first tee to the last. Its a needle in a golf course sorta speak but there is a chance that someone can find it during their walk around the course.

Will is offering a reward if you find it and it means a lot to him, so please keep an eye out for the ring.

Lost Diamond Earring/Spanish Banks/$200 Reward

I received a call to find a lost diamond earring this morning and the lady told me it had been lost for over 3 weeks at a dog beach in Vancouver, Spanish Banks. She went into the Ocean to cool down and she felt the earring come off…

Her and her husband came back the next day and searched for hours but no luck, I also had no luck as earrings are the single hardest piece of jewellery to find as there is so little gold on the post. If this was lost in a back yard I’d have a great chance in locating he earring.

The time frame would have something to do with it but most detectors will not get a signal on a solitaire diamond earring… Very little weight which would mean that it could have moved down the beach with the tide over the last 3 weeks.

It’s a half karat Diamond Earring exactly like the one in the picture above…$200 Reward if you find and return it to Liz… Contact me and I will put you in touch with the owner who would be extremely thankful to have it back!

I will go back a do a grid search of the area just encase I might get lucky!

Lost… Diamond Engagement Ring & Wedding Band/White Rock

Today I had a search for a lady who lost both of her wedding rings at White Rock Beach. After talking with Ali on the phone I knew the chances of finding her rings were slim due to the fact that it was likely lost on the short grass where she and her family were sitting, making the rings easy to spot.
She had taken them off to put suntan lotion on her kids and put them on the towel she was sitting on, after a while it was time to go and she got up and her son picked up the towel and they left for home.

After around a half hour she realized what had happen and raced back to where they had been sitting to look for her rings…No luck, they were no where to be found. Franticly searching for her rings strangers stopped and helped her look but no one found them.

When I arrived the next day and met Ali and her sister they showed me the spot, I searched the grass and then the small bush area but no luck.

I brought a towel and a couple of rings of no value but ones I would use to do a test with and placed the rings on the towel and asked Ali to pick up the towel like her son would have done. This showed us that the rings didn’t travel far at all and ended up on the grass close to the towel. This would have been very easy for someone to spot.

I believe there are good people in this world still and the person who found the rings is looking for the owner… If you found the rings here is Ali’s contact number… 604-870-8825

Metal Detecting…Trout Lake/ Vancouver

When I’m off work I enjoy searching some lakes around my home town to kill some time.

I search during the night so not to disturb sun tanners during the day. Also Its been sooooo hot here its hard to sleep, so a night hunt is refreshing!

Found these two silver rings today at Trout Lake in Vancouver, if any of the two belong to you please contact me and I’ll be happy to return it to you!

You must know the inscription on the inside of the rings to claim it…

This picture is the other half of the heart that belongs to Noah’s girlfriend, we need to find his half!

I had a search at a soccer field for a steal half of a heart that was lost at Robson park, off Kingsway in Vancouver. I couldn’t find this one but if you do, please get in touch with me and I will put you in touch with the owner. There is a $40.00 reward for its return…

When you are searching a soccer field it all comes down to a game of inches… Its a hard search as you have to go very slow on your grid!

I will be back to search the other half of the field tomorrow or the next day. I believe someone may have found this as it’s pretty shiny when then sun hits it. If you found this pendent have a heart and contact me so we can get it back to Noah! Thanks!!

BC Parks/Aldergrove Lake Regional Park/ Lost Gold Wedding Band/Reward

I received a call the other day and a man told me the story about losing his gold wedding band at Aldergrove Lake Regional Park.

This is a small manmade lake in the shape of a bowl, made of concrete and sand, I had a search there many years ago and found a silver high school grad ring for a lady.

After talking with the man over the phone I knew our chances wouldn’t be good as many people search lakes and this one was recently drained and the sand scraped out to the top as you can see in the picture above.

This didn’t stop me from searching as there is always a chance that I could still find the ring. After 3 1/2 hours and a small amount of change and pull tabs I could tell this lake was worked hard as I was unable to locate the ring in the sand piles.

I believe this ring was found last summer by a treasure hunter and its probably in his or her collection.

If you found a plain gold band in Aldergrove Lake in 2008 please contact me and I will put you in touch with the owner who would be extremely happy to get it back!

There is a Reward being offered for the return of this ring.

I can only find what’s there to find… The sooner you contact me the better your chances are to locate your lost item.

Lost rings now Found in the United States/Canada/England

So far in the past month I’ve been able to help people find their rings from the United Sates, Canada and England. For people I can’t get to because they live thousands of miles away I try and help them by setting up someone from their area to search for their lost ring. If a reward is being offered the person who finds the ring will benefit.

Here is a testimonial from a man in Massachusetts, USA…

I lost my engagement ring in a park just before I was about to propose and had to propose without it. I contacted Chris to get help finding it and then realized after I had submitted the request that he was in Canada and probably couldn’t help.

To my surprise, he was incredibly friendly and helpful, however, and sent me several emails giving me advice and even directing me to people who might be able to help in my area.

He even called me and spoke to me on the phone for fifteen minutes giving me tips on how to use a metal detector and how to search for the ring.

He told me that so many times he finds things 20 or more feet away from where the person thought they lost it. I went out to look for it again and ended up finding it without the metal detector about 15 feet away from the place I thought I dropped it.

I was very grateful for the advice from Chris and it is very obvious that he is a caring individual and takes pleasure in helping people find their lost valuables.
