Lost Wedding Ring Found in West Salem, Ohio!

Yesterday evening just before 5pm, I received a text from Karissa who had lost her custom-made wedding ring in her front yard two weeks earlier. She found me on The Ringfinders and was hoping I could help locate her ring. After confirming some details, we headed out and arrived at her place around 6:15pm. After brief introductions, Karissa lead us to the general area she believed the ring should be. While discussing the events that had lead to the loss of the ring, we discovered she’d also lost her Apple watch! So, we got to work! After thoroughly searching the target area, we decided to expand our search radius. Around 7:30pm, Karissa and her husband had to leave to take their little one for ice cream and she told us we didn’t have to keep looking, but we could if we wanted. I told her as long as there’s light we’d love to keep at it! She defined the property lines and thanked us. I told her we’d text if we found it, or when we were leaving, whichever came first and off they went! We continued to gradually and methodically expand our search area and at 7:55pm we had a solid tone in the leaves between some trees. We had found the Apple watch! We text her a picture and she confirmed! By this time the sun had set but, luckily for us, the moon was pretty bright so we decided to focus on the area where we found the watch! It wasn’t too long before I heard that beautiful, unmistakable tone! I called my partner over to shine some light on the spot as I gently ran my pinpointer over the leaves. I turned over a handful of leaves and there it was! Woohoo! We texted Karissa with a picture and the excitement that came back in the next few texts was awesome! It’s why we do this! She said they’d be home soon. We packed up and waited in the car until they got back. When they did get back, she jumped out of the SUV and rushed to us beaming from ear to ear! We handed her the ring and the watch and she still couldn’t believe it! How exciting! After a brief chat, lots of thank yous, a few pics and tons of smiles, we headed out! What a great way to wrap up a weekend!

Lost Gold Wedding band at Makua Beach…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a text from Valeria late yesterday evening asking if I could hunt that night or the next morning.  I immediately called the number to get the details.  Valeria was sitting on the beach with her ring in her lap to put on some sun tan lotion.  Her dog jumped up from where they were on the beach so when Valeria jumped up to get him the ring flew out into the sand somewhere and disappeared.  We decided to meet at 7ish the next morning at Makua Beach so I could be shown the area to hunt.  Daniel & Valeria arrived and she remained behind to watch the vehicles while Daniel and I went down to hunt.  Daniel drew a box in the sand for me and I started the grid search.  I got a nice « 57 » on the Manticore and after two scoops there was Valeria’s beautiful band glistening in the morning sunlight.  Elapsed time maybe one minute.  When we got back to the car Valeria was shocked to see us so quick.  Daniel didn’t hesitate and immediately gave her back her ring.  She was in shock as to how quick her day got so much better then yesterday!  Aloha to Valeria & Daniel!

I received a call for a lost wedding ring in the snow not knowing if a snow blower picked it up and threw it or not.  After searching in deep snow and searching piles of shoveled snow I recovered their stunning platinum and diamond wedding ring  here in Lake Tahoe

Amy and her family were enjoying a day at the beach in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, when her husband’s wedding band slipped off into the sand during a game of catch with a football. Despite their efforts to locate the ring, they were unable to find it. Amy reached out to the Ring Finders South Jersey for assistance. I promptly arrived and initiated a thorough search using my metal detector, following a grid search pattern. After a short time, my detector emitted a tone and I successfully located the ring. Amy and her family were relieved and able to continue enjoying their vacation week in Sea Isle City, NJ!

Gold and diamond wedding band found and returned on Bonita Beach

  1. While swimming with his wife and enjoying their final days in paradise before returning to Michigan, Peter noticed that the gold and diamond ring he’d placed on his wife’s finger nearly 43 years ago to the day was missing.  Carefully he took notice of the spot, going in so far as to imbed an umbrella holder to mark the exact location.  Well it’s only lost until you call!  Their priorities were in order as they took their prayers and petitions to the Top, praying to God rather than St Anthony.  The rest is now history and new memories are being forged.   Gold and diamond wedding band found and returned on Bonita Beach, Bonita Springs Florida.

*** Zack was on the beach near the Wedge in Newport Beach, CA. He and his girlfriend took a late night walk, when his girl friend saw a shell she wanted him to pick out of the surf. He waited for the wave to recede and when he bent over to pick it up his cellphone dropped into the wet sand. The next wave totally covered the phone. 

Zack called me after finding my contact information online. It was 11:30pm . I looked at the tide chart determining that the phone was lost at peak high tide. If the beach didn’t have much slope, there was a good chance to find it. 

Cellphones can be difficult to find on some of our beaches, but I was willing to give this one a search. Even though Zack couldn’t meet me, I know that beach well and I left to search before the next higher came.

After an hour with no success I returned home. 

The next morning I went back finding the phone within feet of my grid search that night. Night searches are successful but it is difficult to keep a straight line while trying to do a grid search.

The next thing was to get the phone back to Zack. He lives 40 miles away. We arranged for me to give it to his friend who worked a couple miles from my place.

***Jonathon and Vanessa had been at the the Huntington City Beach RV camping spot for the weekend. Vanessa took a walk on the beach to hunt for sea shells, while reaching down to pick up a shell at the tide line, her gold diamond wedding ring set slipped off her finger. Before she could grab the ring, a wave washed over the spot and the ring disappeared immediately..

i received a frantic call from Vanessa asking for help. we discussed the circumstances of her loss while looked at the tide chart. I told her we had a chance to find the ring as the tide receded. Even though the tide was rising I would be there soon to confirm the location, which is very important.

Jonathon was there to meet me. He had the area marked off with sticks and a couple soft drink cans. I wasn’t going to leave because the tide drops about one foot per hour this time of the year. I would just grid about a 20’x 40′ then leave to for a half hour to search for other treasures. About an  hour and a half later, BOOM! diamond ring set in the scoop. I walked a couple hundred yards across the sand to their camp site with the good news. Jonathon was there to get the surprise, he told me, he doubted the the rings could be found. We waited Vanessa to return from her trip to the store.

Jonathon and his friends were all present to watch her reaction when he held up the wedding ring set that she believed was lost forever.. a side note, while waiting for the tide to go down, I found two other rings and a hand full of clad coins.

Gold Wedding Band Lost a Second Time…FOUND AGAIN by Christina McCree in Huntsville, Alabama!

On Saturday morning (February 24th, 2024), I received a call from Susan stating her husband, George, had done it again!  George lost his gold wedding band a second time while working in the mulch beds.  George is now my second repeat client.  He had lost his ring in March 2023 doing the same thing and had used my metal detecting service to find it.  Susan told George that she thought they could find it, but George said no, we’re calling Christina, lol.  Thanks for trusting my service!  I was free the rest of the day, so I got ready, grabbed my gear, and headed out to meet George at his home in Huntsville, Alabama.

I met George about an hour and a half after Susan’s call.  He showed me the area he had been working in that morning.  He said he didn’t think it was cold enough for his ring to slip off, but then said he guessed he was wrong.  The area was pretty small, and George knew he had the ring on when he started.  I had my notes from the last time I found George’s ring.  It was a 25 on the Nox 900, so I knew exactly what I was looking for.  I got out my Minelab Equinox 900 and started my search.  About 2 minutes in, I had a shallow 25 beeping on my metal detector.  I told George, “I think we have it!”  I bent down, moved a piece of shrubbery, and there was George’s gold wedding band!  Thank you, Lord God!!!

George was so thankful to have it back!  I told him that I enjoy seeing him, but hopefully there won’t be a third time under these circumstances, lol.  We took some photos, and I was on my way home.  This actually might’ve been my quickest recovery.  I think it was under 2 minutes.  It definitely makes up for the longer, tougher searches.  Looking forward to the next adventure…

Yellow Gold Crucifix Lost under Stilted House, Found and Returned Surfside Beach SC

On Friday, March 8th, I received the following message from Corey, “Hi, I have a house in Surfside Beach. One of the guests has dropped a necklace and the crucifix came off of it and can’t be located. Checking to see if you’re interested in trying to find it.” I responded saying “Sure. Call me,” and sent him my number. When he called he gave me a few more details. He mentioned that when the crucifix was dropped on the concrete it bounced, possibly in an area beside the driveway. I told him I’d be there in 30-45 minutes. I also asked him to text me the address, which he did.

On the drive down, Corey sent me a picture of the area, with a red circle around the particle spot where the crucifix had been dropped. When I pulled into the driveway, I got a better idea of the possibilities of what I needed to do. First, I did a visual of the entire area, looking through 2 boxes of kid’s shovels, buckets and other beach toys with no luck. Next I looked in and around a golf cart, including releasing the brake to move the cart and looked under the tires. Still nothing, I pulled my Gold Bug with a 6” coil out of the car and started detecting the ground holding a row of trees, mulch and dead leaves beside the driveway. I pulled out about a dozen roofing and siding nails, pull tabs and bottle caps, but still no crucifix. I went to the neighbor’s yard and did the back side of the tree line. I moved over to the opposite side of the driveway and checked the grass area. I was out of ideas, so I grabbed my Equinox 800, lowered the sensitivity and researched the tree line. I called Corey and told him I hadn’t had any luck. He told me that Kim, who is the owner of the cleaning company that cleans the rental, was coming over and would be there in about 10 minutes. I told him I’d wait.

When Kim arrived she told me that in the process of cleaning the house, she had found the chain and crucifix among other items the renters had left behind. In the process of moving the items downstairs to the garage she set everything down on the seat of the golf cart. At that time the crucifix was still on the chain. When she picked up everything to move it to the garage is when she noticed the crucifix was gone. Her co-worker said she heard something hit the concrete and saw it bounce into the tree line. The two searched everywhere and couldn’t find the crucifix, hence I was called. She opened up the garage to show me where she had set everything down. Not sure if when she picked up the items, the crucifix fell out or not but we both saw the crucifix lying on the garage floor. Woo-Hoo!!!! I can’t remember if Kim said the owner lived in Michigan or Wisconsin but she was going to get the crucifix back home soon.

Lost gold and diamond ring found – Marco Island

While spending the day with his family in Marco Island and playing in the waves with his son, Thomas realized his gold band was no longer on his finger.  After spending the afternoon looking with a metal detector without any luck, his wife took to the internet and posted the loss.  A few responses came back “you gotta call Mark!”  Well his wife found Mark, and I was down there with an hour searching.  Well so were several other metal detectors too that had seen the post.  The rest is now history, found the ring in the abyss, and now their story continues.  Remember it’s only list until you call…God does hear and answers prayers! 🙏🏻🎉
