Lost & Found Ring New Westminster, BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Snow eats rings, cellphones & keys…We don’t get much snow anymore here in Vancouver, but this year we can’t get rid of it…That being said the calls are coming in for help and today I had a search for lost keys in Mission BC & a search for a lost wedding band in New Westminster, BC.

The drive to Mission was over an hour and I searched the areas that the young man show me for an hour but no keys…After discussing the search areas he went back and found his keys in his garage. It happens a lot when we close off the area where people think they may have lost their item, when its not found it makes them look in other places they may not have looked before, this time it worked!

Just when I got back home I received another call from a young man who said he thought he may have lost his ring in the backyard where he was barbecuing the night before. We discussed the search and arranged for me to go there and meet his wife and look for the ring.

We met and I started the search and within minutes I found his white gold ring. I love my job and when I find what I’m looking for it makes me very happy!

Found Wedding Ring at English Bay Beach… Flying Home to Owner

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I got a call Friday and the young lady asked me what the chances are in finding a ring that was lost earlier in the week at English Bay Beach…She thinks it was lost there but wasn’t 100% sure of the location.

When I get calls like this I like to ask lots of questions and one was, why do you think it was lost at English Bay? She replied that she was in town on business and at lunch she went to the beach, ordered a hamburger and sat on a log enjoying a sunny day. After eating the hamburger she walked to the Watersedge and washed her hands, then went back to her hotel where she realized her ring was gone.

To me it made the most sense that the ring must have come off when she was washing her hands and I felt confident if she could put me in the right area we’d have a good chance of recovery. That being said it was lost for four days and there’s always a chance some other metal detectorist may have found it.

The other factor was that she was now back home in Ottawa, Eastern Canada, 4 hour flight away. Saturday morning I picked up my metal detector and headed to the beach, I took pictures of the area she believed she was sitting and she confirmed the location…You have to love the internet! Without it, people wouldn’t find TheRingFinders and no second chance!

Within a couple of minutes I found her wedding band! I get as excited as the people who lose it when I see it in my scoop. I quickly took a picture of the ring and text messaged her it was found.

I then raced over to FedEx and sent it back home to a very happy young lady.

Lost gold ring in backyard…South Surrey, BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I was at work when I got a call from a young lady who said that he daughter lost her ring that was given to her by her bother. She said that she googled and found TheRingFinders and thought that she would give it a chance.

I could tell she was a little sceptical but most people are until you find what they’ve lost then they become belivers!

She told me that they had a wedding party in their back yard and that’s where her 9 year old daughter was last seen with the ring.

I arrived at her place in the evening and it was dark but that is fine for me! I don’t mind working at night and sometimes its easier and not as hot.

She showed me where her daughter said that she’d lost the ring and after a couple of minutes and no ring I just expanded the search a little and bang! There was her ring sitting in the yellow grass and hard to see but my detector see’s it all…

Lost Diamond Ring at Vancouver Park / Playground…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I had a early morning search in a lake at Whistler, BC that took me 1 hour & 45 minutes each way. I arrived 7am to find out the the ring was lost in water that was over my head…I still tried by standing on a log near the dock and trying to detect around the area but after 2 hours I packed it up and called a diver from my directory to come out and find it.

Just 20 minutes away from home I got a call from a young lady who asked if I could help find her diamond ring that was lost at a playground. She found TheRingFinders.com online and called…I was on my way!

I met with the family and she showed me the areas the ring could have been lost then she took a cab to work while her husband & kids stayed behind. The crazy thing was that she put her rings in her pocket and when she went to put them back on all she had was her wedding band…Some how the engagement ring disappeared.

I searched the most likely areas like the swing and slide but no ring? I then started a grid from where they parked to where they sat on the ground and after 2 lines of the grid there was the ring slightly covered by grass.

Lost diamond ring at Spanish Banks Beach…Found after 2 days!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I was at work when I got a call from a young lady who asked if I could help her find her lost diamond ring. I asked where it was lost and when it was lost and she told me it was lost at Spanish Banks beach and that it was lost for 2 days and that she’d cried for 2 days.

She said that she happened to read a story online about a member of TheRingFinders and thought that she had to reach out and give it a shot.

I explained that there was a chance that the beach machine could have scooped it up or another detectorist could have found it as it was lost for 2 days.

That being said I was excited to go to the beach after working a 14 hour day because for me this is what relaxes me the most…A good treasure hunt!!

It was 11 PM and the young lady sent me a google earth map of the location where she’d lost the ring.

She said it was in front of the volley ball court # 3 or #4 I started my search and after searching all of court 3 & 4 I had no ring…Could have someone already found it? maybe or maybe she was a little off with her directions.

I expanded my search to court 5 & 6 and I found the ring minutes later in front of court 6 where she was sitting.

Hello!  My name is Josh Kimmel.  I recently joined The Ring Finders.  I am very involved with metal detecting and have a true passion for this hobby / lifestyle as well as a passion for recovering history in all of it’s forms.  My passion for metal detecting goes beyond just merely trying to find pieces of the past, I also have a passion for helping others locate those special lost items that they thought may have been lost forever.  That’s right!, I enjoying trying to help others find these items and strive to reunite people with their items.  Jewelry such as class rings, wedding bands, engagement rings, gold, silver, platinum and other rings and jewelry to keys and even property markers.  I have been asked to search for many different things and strive to do my best to locate them when possible.   One of my favorite returns was of a silver and platinum class ring that had been lost for approx. 31 years when I one day found it and tracked the owner down to return it to her within 2 weeks.  When people lose that precious, sentimental item it can be very distressing and I do what I can.  Each lost item is unique and has a story of it’s own.  When that item is lost by someone that story doesn’t have to end.    With a recovery that story can continue.

If you are in the Celina, OH or Grand Lake St. Mary’s area or even the Ohio counties of Mercer, Auglaize, Van Wert, Allen and other outlying areas I just may be able to help.  Why try to rent a metal detector or find a metal detector rental to try and locate your lost sentimental item or a particular metal item you would like found when you can contact a metal detector specialist that will use many years of experience as well as some of the best equipment to try and locate that item for you.  Forget renting the detector and get a detectorist!

My years of experience and the equipment I use enable me to find and locate many different metal items in all terrains.  Parks, private yards, school yards, tot lots, beaches, snow, water(up to 5ft deep), fields, woods, hillsides and anywhere else for that matter.  Rings, jewelry, property markers, cache hunting, property searches and so on I’m always trying to help people with my experience.  I even offer my services to Realtor s, Law enforcement, and insurace companies as well others and do what I can to help.

If you are in or around any of the above mentioned or surrounding areas of Ohio contact me and we can discuss the situation.
