Lost gold cross jewelry in grass, Conway, Florida….Found and Returned!

Danielle was very determined to find her lost gold cross and had literally spent hours trying to find it. She tried raking the grass, using a strong flashlight, crawling on her hands and knees and even purchased a cheap metal detector and still her special heirloom gold cross remained elusive. She just knew it had to be in her front yard somewhere…but where?

Later the next evening she was searching on line for other ways to « find lost jewelry in the grass » and she came across theringfinders.com and one of the recovery stories I had written about helping someone else find a lost item. Danielle explained that she had stepped outside her front door onto the grass where she had a couple of inflatable Christmas decorations and as she was trying to push a plastic stake into the ground, her dog bolted out the front door and across the street and began fighting with her neighbors dog! Danielle dropped what she was doing and ran across the street to restrain her dog. After returning her dog to the house she realized she had dropped her chain and gold cross, which she had been carrying in her hand during the whole ordeal. She immediately went to the obvious place where she was pushing the plastic stake into the ground. Right away she spotted the chain laying in the grass but the gold cross was nowhere to be seen.

After meeting Danielle and seeing where the fateful event took place, I set up my Garrett AT Max and started a tight grid search, covering all the same area where they had so diligently searched. It took only a few minutes to cover the small area and no gold cross so I searched further out and…BINGO, there was Danielle’s lost gold cross just sitting in the grass! What a thrill it was to see the joy and relief on Danielle’s face and it was a total honor and privilege to help her in her time of need!

Lost wedding ring in Lake Maitland, Winter Park, Florida….Found!

Kelly called me and asked if I was available to help recover a lost wedding ring that had fallen off of a dock and into the water. Apparently while taking photos for some newly weds, Kelly had asked for the rings and the brides bouquet of flowers and had balanced the rings on the flowers in order to take a unique series of photos. And you can guessed what happened next! Somehow the brides wedding ring moved ever so slightly and slid off of the bouquet and dropped onto the wooden dock and fell directly thru a crack and into the water. It seems no one actually saw the ring hit the dock or fall through a crack but everyone spent the next 30 minutes looking for the ring and it became obvious that the ring had indeed fallen into the water below.

Kelly felt terrible about the whole ordeal and decided to actually go to the jeweler, where the original ring was purchased, and buy another identical ring to replace the lost one. Kelly was determined to somehow find the bride’s ring and thought about purchasing or even renting a metal detector to look for the ring herself and that led her to search on line and up came theringfinders.com.

I met Kelly at the beautiful Kraft Azalea Garden (Park) and she showed me where the ring dropped. The water was three to four feet deep and there were numerous targets that needed clearing out for fear they could mask such a small white gold ring. It took a good 30 minutes to finally locate the dainty diamond ring and Oh what a relief it was! Kelly was thrilled to have her clients original ring back and I was starting to get really cold! Thanks Kelly for taking a few photos for me with your phone and for giving me the opportunity to help you!

Lost rings in grass, Orlando, Florida…….Found and Returned!

Heidi called me Saturday afternoon and asked if there was any chance I could help her find two very important rings in some thick grass. I assured her I would come right away and off I went. Here is the story in Heidi’s own words.

« At the close of a recent trip to Disney, my husband and I were walking along a path back to our resort, (Shades of Green) to pick up our luggage and make our way to the airport for an afternoon flight home. I carelessly took off my engagement ring, (and therefore, anniversary band, which I wear above it) to wipe something off of the stone. When my husband warned me to worry about that later because I might drop them, I jumped off the path into the grass and juggled them around, in what I intended to be good-natured teasing. Then, like clock work, I dropped them! Even though I had what I thought was a perfect idea of where they landed, the deep Florida grass ate them up and a couple of hours (and a missed flight) later we still had nothing to show for our « hands-and-knees search! Needless to say, my husband and I were both in panic mode. A quick google search led me to Mike, and what a godsend! Not only did he answer his phone right away, but he dropped everything to come out and help us right away as well!

As soon as he arrived, his friendly and helpful demeanor, clear knowledge and positive attitude put us at ease immediately. We just knew he would find them! Even with the electrical interference and underground lighting and sprinkler systems of the resort, he found both rings in under a half hour and in the dark! We were able to hop on a flight later that evening and get home before my husband’s military leave ended-saving us even more trouble. Mike totally saved us from what could have been an absolutely disastrous ending to the trip! We went from thinking that the ring my husband proposed with was gone forever, to being back in our home state of Virginia only a few hours later all safe and sound! Thank you so much Mike »

Lost ring in the water, Lake Tibet, Orlando, Fl…..Found and Returned!

Greg called me about a ring that his girl friend had accidentally dropped in a lake and mentioned it was only in a few feet of water. I explained how I normally retrieve lost rings and he assured me he knew exactly where it fell off of the dock and into the water. He said his girl friend had used a mask and tried to locate the ring but was unsuccessful. It had been lost almost a month prior to our conversation and I assured Greg that the ring was most likely in the same spot where it originally fell.

Three days later I met Greg at the location and the first thing I did was to check the exact depth of the water at the drop site and it turned out to be more like 6 to 7 feet deep. Unfortunately I had not brought my scuba tank, dive hose and regulator but I did have my mask and snorkel. So I figured it was another good opportunity to practice diving and holding my breath….once again!

By using my PVC pole stuck into the soft lake bottom where Greg said the ring had fallen, I was able to work my water proof Garrett pro pointer around the pole checking every metal signal. I found various bolts and such and on the 3rd dive I got a good signal and could only grab a handful of mud, shells and debris and as I sorted through the material my hand felt Greg’s lost ring! As I surfaced I rinsed the ring off and was amazed by the unique design and beauty. Greg was thrilled and very thankful to see his girl friend’s lost ring again and I was honored to be the one to find it for them.

Lost Apple Watch in water, Wekiva Island, Longwood, Fl…..Found and Returned!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)

Chantal and her younger sister were enjoying a hot summer day by the cool dark waters of the Wekiva River. Wekiva Island is a unique place to swim and relax and spend time getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Earlier Chantal had laid out her towel at the waters edge and now as she was getting ready to gather up her belongings, she completely forgot that she had placed her Apple Watch on the edge of her towel and as she lifted her towel….the watch did a nose dive into the dark water and disappeared! Stunned she could not believe what had just happened! It was only 6 feet deep with a sort of sandy bottom mixed with leaves and other decaying debris, so how hard could it be to find it, right? For over an hour she dove and tried her very best to feel around with her feet, hoping to find her lost watch…but all to no avail!

On her phone she informed her friends of her dilemma and then someone sent her a link to theringfinders.com and told her to check it out. After a brief conversation I decided not to wait but to try and help her that very day. Upon arriving at the spot there were three young men sitting in the very location and after hearing Chantal’s story they were more than happy to move, plus they wanted to see the search and recovery themselves.

I decided to practice my diving and holding my breath skills instead of using my scuba gear, thinking that the sandy bottom and maybe four feet of visibility would be sufficient for me to recover her lost watch. Chantal had described her watch as having a metal wrist band and that is what I focused on during my search. The search area was roughly an eight foot square area and right away I could see the usual objects like pull tabs and other man made objects but no shiny metal wrist band. I dove four times thinking surely I would spot it just sitting on the bottom waiting for me to spot and pick up. And then I realized Chantal had been feeling around with her feet and maybe she had pushed it out into deeper water or possibly covered it over with silt and sand and that’s when I spotted something square looking and as I lifted it off the bottom I realized the « mesh » metal band had folded under the face of the watch and it was quite hidden. Chantal was thrilled to have her watch back and I was relieved to not be holding my breath any longer! And Chantal’s beautiful smile warmed my heart and I was truly thankful to have been a part of making her day a pleasant one!

Jennifer and her family were on vacation in St. Augustine Beach, Florida when the unthinkable happened! Read what Jennifer wrote: « Hi Mike. Again I cannot thank you enough for finding my hubby’s ring! We appreciate your quick response to what was a terrible way to start a vacation! I will admit that I was very skeptical when theringfinders.com web site was recommended to me but you accomplished what I thought would surely be an impossible task. I know that everyone values their wedding rings but his is extra special! Not only did we inherit our wedding ring set from my parents, it also survived my husband’s near fatal car accident 14 months ago. This was our first vacation and his first time back to the ocean since then. We appreciate your prayers for him! And I want you to know that after we met in person and talked, I knew that the Lord had sent the help I had asked for, He sent us you!!
Thank you again Mike and God bless! Sincerely, Jennifer and Chandler, from Georgia »

P.S. I had to wait till midnight for low tide and was very thankful for a beautiful full moon that lit up the whole beach. And the waves were up to three and a half feet so I was getting pushed around a good bit and it took three and a half hours but it was all so very worth the effort to see that lost gold wedding ring in my scoop and then to see the tearful joy and relief on Jennifer’s face!

Tuesday evening David was working in his yard cleaning up and stuffing branches and sticks into one of his garbage containers when he felt his wedding ring slip off of his finger. He was not sure if it fell into the container or into the grass somewhere. He desperately searched all over thinking surely he could find it and then frustration and darkness brought his search to an end. Here is David’s account of what took place.

« A Huge Thank You to Mike from The Ring Finders! My wedding ring fell off while I was collecting debris from my yard at sunset. We searched everywhere for it and couldn’t find it in the grass. I was so frustrated and upset. After a quick Google search I read some great stories about Mike and how he has helped so many other families find their lost treasures so I decided to give him a call. He came to my house at 7am the next morning and took less than 5 minutes to find my lost ring for me. Thank you Mike! »

Lost ring in sand volleyball court, Orlando, Fl…..Found and Returned!

When Matt called me I could tell by his voice he was a bit concerned about a special ring he had lost earlier that day! Here is the story in Matts own words. « Mike with The Ring Finders saved my vacation! While playing volleyball with my wife and two young sons, my college ring slipped off my finger and fell into the sand of the volleyball court. My heart immediately sank. As a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, our Aggie rings are sacred and my first thought was that I would never see my ring again. I searched for over an hour with no luck and after a brief Google search, my wife suggested calling The Ring Finders. After speaking with Mike, I was immediately put at ease. He was genuinely sympathetic and concerned and let me know he would be there as soon as he could. When he arrived he let me know that he felt good about finding my ring and more importantly told me that he and his family had been praying for the successful recovery of my lost ring! As a follower of Jesus Christ, this both gave me comfort and reiterated to me that I had made the right choice in calling Mike. After a brief search Mike recovered my lost ring and saved the day and our trip! The entire experience with Mike was fantastic! I can’t say it enough, thank you for saving the day and God bless! Theringfinders metal detecting service helped me find a lost ring in the bushes in front of a restaurant in Orlando, Fl.! Open Now: call or text 321-363-6029

I received a call from Alex asking me if I could help him look for his lost wedding ring. I asked him a few important questions and decided this was a search that needed to be done right away. (For whenever someone looses a ring in a public place it is extremely important to get there and look ASAP….mainly for fear that someone else might find it!)
We made arrangements to meet and do a thorough search and the whole time I was praying no one else would walk off with his lost ring. An hour later I met Alex and his two friends in front of Rocco’s Tacos restaurant and he explained what exactly happened. Apparently as Alex was leaving the restaurant he felt a sneeze coming on and as the courteous custom is to cover one’s mouth, he let out a big sneeze and in the process he flung his hands down and to his sides and off came his ring! He heard it ping off of the sidewalk but did not see which direction it flew. It was dark out and he and his friends searched the best they could but could not find his lost ring. Alex figured his ring was gone forever! Later that evening he was talking to another friend and he suggested trying to locate someone with a metal detector and that led Alex to theringfinders.com!
So I began my search with my Garrett pro pointer in hand. The bushes directly behind where Alex was standing when his ring came off was the obvious place to start. It took 15 minutes on my hands and knees and I finally spotted Alex’s lost wedding ring along the edge of a side walk at least 20 feet from where I thought it would be. I put Alex’s ring on the end of my finger and walked up to Alex and his two friends. I explained that I had found a bunch of bottle caps, pull tabs and other junk…and then I held my finger up and said, « And then I found this! ». Alex could not believe his eyes and we all had us an awesome moment of high fives, fist bumps and man celebration!!
It was an honor and a real pleasure to help Alex find his lost wedding ring!

I received a very urgent text from Cory asking if I could possibly help him find his wife’s lost rings at the beach. Here is what Cory wrote a couple of days later.

« During a family vacation at New Smyrna Beach my wife misplaced her engagement and wedding rings. Once we figured this out we frantically searched the sand for hours and found nothing. Later that evening my wife did a search on Google under, « How to find missing stuff on the beach » and that brought up theringfinders.com website. We then contacted Mike McInroe and the following morning he arrived, asked several questions and started to search for the rings. Within 15 minutes he located the rings and this brought great relief and happiness to our family! We can’t thank him enough for his work. We were very lucky and extremely grateful for Mike’s efforts. Thanks again, Cory McAllister »
