Lost ring in East Crooked Lake, Eustis, Florida….Found and Returned!

Erick had just bought his daughter a new fishing pole and they were on the end of his parents dock trying it out for the very first time when disaster struck! Erick said that after putting a nice juicy worm on the hook, he went to wash the goo from his hands and as he shook the excess water off, his heavy gold wedding ring went « plunk » right into the dark lake water! Erick was stunned as he watched it hit the water and disappear out of sight. Right away he tried to figure out how he could retrieve his ring so he checked the depth of the water and determined it to be around 11 feet deep. Too deep for him to jump in and attempt any sort of search himself. And the more he thought about his situation he felt there just had to be some way or someone who could help him retrieve his lost ring. So he went online and soon came across theringfinders.com and one of my successful recovery stories.

After speaking with Erick and hearing what all happened I assured him that his ring was not going anywhere and the soonest I could conduct a search would be in three days. Erick told me he had actually calculated that his ring fell off the dock exactly 32 inches from the end of the dock, which he had marked with a magic marker. With that information I put together a pole that was to be driven into the bottom of the lake and anchored with a 2X4 to the dock. This time I brought my scuba gear and was prepared to do a proper dive. Only the bottom of the lake was covered with SAV…submerged aquatic vegetation…which would not permit me to swing a metal detector. So I used my water proof Scuba Tector/X Pointer Pro that is rated to 200 feet! As I slowly descended to the bottom I was able to use the pole as a guide and it wasn’t long until the end of my hand held pointer clicked on something metal and there in the thick mud and silt in a tangle of grass was Erick’s lost ring! And as I slowly surfaced holding the ring on my finger and sticking it up so that was the first thing Erick would see…I will never forget the stunned look on Erick’s face. I am so thankful to God for allowing me to be able to help Erick be reunited with his lost wedding ring! Erick and his wife celebrate 15 years of marriage and are still committed to each other and going strong!

Lost ring in the sand, Daytona Beach, Fl…..Found and Returned!

Chris, Aurelia and their four young children were at the beach enjoying a beautiful day of swimming and playing in the surf when suddenly Aurelia looked at her hand and her diamond engagement/wedding ring was not on her finger! She could not imagine how her ring had come off and where it could possibly be! She remembered putting suntan lotion on the kids and then she was sitting in her chair by the waters edge and there was also a brief time when she had played with her children in the shallow water. Aurelia was stunned as the impact and realization of what had happened sunk in and she wondered was there anything that could be done to find her ring?!

Two days later they were directed to theringfinders.com website and when Chris called me we decided to try and search the following day at low tide. Upon hearing their story I tried to piece together just what would have caused her ring to come off and everything pointed to the short time she spent in the shallow water playing with her children roughly two hours after low tide.

Monday afternoon I arrived at the beach a good two hours before low tide hoping and praying I was not to late. As I discussed the details with Chris and Aurelia I felt the need to pray and ask God to help me find their ring! With the family gathered around I committed my time and effort to the Lord and then went about doing a grid search in and out of the water. I had set out four pvc poles to make sure I was going in straight lines and still no ring after the first hour. I then headed up to the dry sand where they had placed their tent and towels and again no ring. Next I began grid searching the wet sand in between the water and the dry sand. After three passes I got a perfect signal and -BANG- up pops a man’s tungsten ring! False alarm! Then four rows over I get another perfect signal–only this time I see yellow gold in the hole!! I called Chris over and told him to dig in the center of the small hole I had scooped out with the toe of my scuba boot! I whispered another prayer of thanksgiving as I realize again what an honor and joy it is to help people find their lost treasures! God bless you Chris and Aurelia and your dear little family!

Theringfinders metal detecting service helped me find a lost ring in the bushes in front of a restaurant in Orlando, Fl.! Open Now: call or text 321-363-6029

I received a call from Alex asking me if I could help him look for his lost wedding ring. I asked him a few important questions and decided this was a search that needed to be done right away. (For whenever someone looses a ring in a public place it is extremely important to get there and look ASAP….mainly for fear that someone else might find it!)
We made arrangements to meet and do a thorough search and the whole time I was praying no one else would walk off with his lost ring. An hour later I met Alex and his two friends in front of Rocco’s Tacos restaurant and he explained what exactly happened. Apparently as Alex was leaving the restaurant he felt a sneeze coming on and as the courteous custom is to cover one’s mouth, he let out a big sneeze and in the process he flung his hands down and to his sides and off came his ring! He heard it ping off of the sidewalk but did not see which direction it flew. It was dark out and he and his friends searched the best they could but could not find his lost ring. Alex figured his ring was gone forever! Later that evening he was talking to another friend and he suggested trying to locate someone with a metal detector and that led Alex to theringfinders.com!
So I began my search with my Garrett pro pointer in hand. The bushes directly behind where Alex was standing when his ring came off was the obvious place to start. It took 15 minutes on my hands and knees and I finally spotted Alex’s lost wedding ring along the edge of a side walk at least 20 feet from where I thought it would be. I put Alex’s ring on the end of my finger and walked up to Alex and his two friends. I explained that I had found a bunch of bottle caps, pull tabs and other junk…and then I held my finger up and said, « And then I found this! ». Alex could not believe his eyes and we all had us an awesome moment of high fives, fist bumps and man celebration!!
It was an honor and a real pleasure to help Alex find his lost wedding ring!

Theringfinders metal detecting service helped me find two lost rings buried in the sand at New Smyrna Beach. Open Now: call or text 321-363-6029

I received a very urgent text from Cory asking if I could possibly help him find his wife’s lost rings at the beach. Here is what Cory wrote a couple of days later.

« During a family vacation at New Smyrna Beach my wife misplaced her engagement and wedding rings. Once we figured this out we frantically searched the sand for hours and found nothing. Later that evening my wife did a search on Google under, « How to find missing stuff on the beach » and that brought up theringfinders.com website. We then contacted Mike McInroe and the following morning he arrived, asked several questions and started to search for the rings. Within 15 minutes he located the rings and this brought great relief and happiness to our family! We can’t thank him enough for his work. We were very lucky and extremely grateful for Mike’s efforts. Thanks again, Cory McAllister »

What an honor it was to help Cory and his family! How can I help you?

Lost engagement ring, Kissimmee, Fl…..Found and Returned!

Larry called me from their vacation apartment down by the Disney area and asked if I could help him and his wife, Danielle, find her lost diamond engagement ring. Apparently they were out late the night before and while walking back to their room, Danielle had taken all her jewelry off and handed everything to Larry. After entering the apartment Larry put all the jewelry on the dining table and they then retired for the night. The next morning they got up later than normal and eventually Danielle went to collect her jewelry and to her horror, she could not find her diamond engagement ring! They immediately retraced their steps from the previous night and by this time it was around 12:00 noon. They looked for a couple of hours and that is what led them to contact me, thru theringfinders.

I packed up my gear and an hour and a half later met Larry and Danielle and began my sidewalk and bushes search. For the next three and a half hours I scoured the bushes with my metal detector and probed my pro pointer into every nook and cranny and no ring! It was just nowhere to be found. As I put my detector away I tried to console Larry and I encouraged him to make up some posters and put them on the palm trees along the area where they had walked. We said our goodbyes and I headed for home and I must admit I was a bit discouraged not being able to find Danielle’s ring.

A couple of days later I was looking on line and thought I would check out « Craigslist Orlando » and see if anything was posted in the « lost and found » section. As I scrolled down I noticed a post labeled « Found engagement ring, Kissimmee » posted on the same day I was called by Larry and my heart skipped a beat! Could it be?? I fired a text to Larry and directed him to the post and in my heart I was praying this would be the miracle they needed. (You see, Larry and Danielle originally had a small zirconium in her ring and just recently had it replaced with a rather beautiful, large diamond and they had applied for insurance on the ring but the paper work was not yet completed.) Apparently the person who made the post had actually found Danielle’s ring in the early morning as they were heading to Universal Studios and she kept it safe all day. On her return to their apartment that night she saw a security guard and turned the ring over to him, trusting that he would take it to the proper « Lost and Found » at the resort main office. Larry called the main office over the next 3 days and each time he was told that no ring fitting that description had been turned in. Sadly Larry and Danielle had to return home to Pennsylvania but he continued to call. The frustrating thing was knowing that the ring had been turned over to « trusting hands » and then not being able to locate it. Finally Larry suggested that the « authorities » be informed and « Bingo!!! » The lost and found people called a half hour later to say they had located Danielle’s ring and she could pick it up. I offered to pick it up and mail it to them but Danielle insisted in flying to Orlando and picking it up in person. The following Saturday we met Danielle and had the pleasure of seeing the sheer joy on Danielle’s face and to experience an amazing moment in her life. It truly was an honor to meet Larry and Danielle and to have a part in helping them get their ring back!

Lost gold Harley ring, Longwood, Fl……Found and Returned!

Ron was just finishing up eating his sandwich when he bit into a piece of gristle. As he turned to throw it out across the back of his truck and into the bushes he felt his ring go flying off along with the piece of gristle. He even heard his ring ping off the edge of the truck bed but he was not able to actually see which direction it went. Ron figured the ring must have gone quite a distance because of the force he used when he threw the small piece of gristle. When I arrived I asked Ron to show me where the « fling of the ring » took place and from there I was able to get a good idea as to what sort of search I was in for. Looking for a lost article, and especially a lost ring, gets me excited and is a real challenge that I thoroughly enjoy. And I could tell that Ron was very anxious for me to find his lost ring so I set about searching out into the neighbors yard and worked my way towards where the truck had been parked. There were various types of shrubs and ornamental bushes and a low thick form of ground cover. A perfect place for a ring to hide. About 20 minutes into the search I got a smooth steady tone that pinpointed easily with a depth of two inches in the ivy ground cover. Ron’s lost ring was found and it was a beauty! Thanks Ron for calling me and allowing me to be the one to locate your lost ring. A visit to the jeweler will help keep that ring on your finger my friend!

Gold Wedding Band Lost & Found In Poole Garden

  • from Bournemouth (England, United Kingdom)

We all appreciate that warm feeling when feeding the birds but for Mrs Andrews of Poole, Dorset it left her feeling extremely upset.

Whilst tossing bread to the hungry sparrows in her Poole back garden, suddenly she felt her wedding band, that she rarely took off, slip from her finger and disappear somewhere into her garden grass. Several attempts were made by herself and husband but to no avail fearing it had disappeared deep into the bushes and lost forever.

I received the call and visited a few days later prepared for a ‘hands and knees’ search in and out of bushes. After only 5 minutes searching the Detector screamed the cry of gold and there it was- almost under a bush some 4 meters away.

Mrs Andrews was very appreciative to wear the ring again and very kindly donated to the Margret Green Animal Charity.

Turning Luck Around: A Ring Rescued at Carpinteria State Beach

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

Following Sunday service, my phone rang with a plea for assistance from a distressed young lady who had encountered a streak of misfortune during her weekend camping trip at Carpinteria State Beach for the Avocado festival. Amidst the festivities, she had tragically misplaced a ring gifted to her by her mother, intended to ward off the string of bad luck she had been experiencing. Adding insult to injury, a neighboring camper had inadvertently damaged her Honda Civic, compounding her woes.

Upon arrival at the beach camping site, littered with debris and remnants of previous visitors, our task seemed daunting. Nails, bottle caps, and loose change cluttered the sandy terrain, posing challenges to our search efforts. Undeterred, we embarked on the quest to recover the precious lost ring.

After scouring the area for approximately 20 minutes, a promising signal echoed from my new XP Deus metal detector amidst the iceplant and sand. With bated breath, I unearthed the buried treasure, revealing the gleaming gold ring hidden beneath the surface.

In that triumphant moment, amidst the backdrop of adversity, we emerged victorious. The ring, a symbol of hope and resilience, was restored to its rightful owner, turning the tide of misfortune.

Lost ring along road, Sanford, Florida….Found!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)

Brandon had just recently bought himself a really nice, shiny cobalt ring and was still getting used to wearing it. He and his girl friend were out driving around and as his custom was, he would hang his hand out of the car window. Normally that is not much of a problem but on this night he was in the passengers seat and he was wearing his new ring on his right hand. As they were driving along he had his hand sticking out of the window and he sort of liked the feel of his new ring. It was so smooth and had that heavy feel of a quality ring and before he knew it the ring came off of his finger and dropped into the darkness. His girl friend had the presence of mind to immediately pull off the road. Even though it was dark Brandon could faintly see about where they were when the ring came off of his finger. So they decided to stop and try looking for his lost ring. The long grass and the darkness made their search seem futile, so they figured they would come back and try again in the morning.
That evening they found theringfinders.com website and decided to give me a call the next day. I was able to meet Brandon and his girlfriend at 8:30 the next morning and they explained what happened. The ring had to be there and we just needed to find it. Thankfully the mowers had just finished mowing the whole grassy area where we would be looking and I set out swinging my trusty Whites DFX. As Brandon and his friend anxiously watched me check every signal, Brandon decided to help out and started looking ahead on his own and after a few minutes, Brandon hollers, « I found it! » So another happy ending and the beginning of another great day!
Have you lost something special? Maybe I can help! Call ASAP!
