Lost and found necklace on Miami Beach

  • from Miami (Florida, United States)

If you just lost an any type of jewelry in the South Florida area, whether it’s on the beach, in the water, or backyard, give me a call/text Louis 608-1870.  I have a metal detecting service and can come out and find your lost item.  In the pictures below it shows a night time recovery of a very sentimental necklace and Star of David medallion that was lost in the ocean in Miami Beach.  It was passed down from his grandfather who was a Holocaust survivor.  I can usually recover lost items pretty quick but the surf was rough and the search area was pretty big. Right when night time was settling in I got a tone on my detector and up came his necklace.  He was so grateful.  If this happens to you, don’t wait, give me a call.

Lost wedding ring found in Zanesville.

  • from Marietta (Ohio, United States)

I received a text from a young lady needing help finding her husband wedding band he lost while playing kickball with his 2 boys 3 days ago!! Here is her story

On the evening of April 24th, my husband lost his wedding ring while playing kickball with our two young sons. He mentioned feeling it slide off his finger; however, given the activity, it was possible it had been lost earlier while throwing the ball. After an unsuccessful search Thursday night, I purchased a basic metal detector from Harbor Freight, quickly realizing that metal detecting is far more challenging than it appears.

Despite searching throughout Friday, we were unable to locate the ring. By Saturday, feeling disheartened, I reached out to several metal detecting groups on Facebook seeking assistance and advice. A kind individual directed me to https://theringfinders.com/Steve.Wagner/ website, where two local searchers were listed. I sent messages to both, and within minutes, Steve responded and offered to call. During our conversation, he explained that he was approximately an hour away but was willing to travel to assist us that very same day. True to his word, within two hours, Steve arrived at our home ready to help.

While I remained inside with the children, Steve conducted a thorough search of the yard. A short time later, he knocked on our door to update me. He explained the areas he had covered and noted that the length of the grass made the search more difficult, suggesting that mowing could improve future searches. He then casually mentioned finding a “quarter.” I laughed and held out my hand—only for Steve to drop my husband’s wedding ring into my palm.

The flood of emotion I felt in that moment is difficult to put into words: overwhelming relief, profound joy, and immense gratitude. This ring is not merely a piece of jewelry; it is a symbol of deep love, commitment, and countless memories.

We cannot adequately express how thankful we are for Steve’s kindness, professionalism, and dedication. His willingness to travel, his prompt response, and his genuine passion for helping others brought our family an indescribable sense of relief and happiness. It is clear that Steve finds true fulfillment in reuniting people with their most treasured possessions.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Steve. We will be forever grateful.

Sincerely,
The Hastings Family

I was contacted by Nancy about a set of keys and key fobs lost while raking and doing yard work. We talked about all the work she had done, places she had been, and went through all the possibilities we could think of. Nancy was extremely well thought out, and had already checked everywhere I could think of. So it was time to do a detailed search of the yard, leaves, landscaping, and bushes with my detector. A lot to cover, but a big target that should jump out if I swing over it. Well, after feeling like I covered everything, no keys. The shed had already been searched, but to be through I figured another set of eyes on it couldn’t hurt. While checking the shed Nancy started removing some of the tools and recounting what items she had used. One of the items was the blower which she pulled out and placed on one of two black wrought iron benches in front of the shed. At that point she realized and remembered exactly where the keys were. After opening the shed she had laid them over the arm of the bench where the black fobs blended in perfectly. We had both walked within inches of these keys several times without seeing them. Talk about hiding in plain sight. Thank goodness going through the process led to Nancy finding the keys. I was in total disbelief when I saw them, but very relieved they were found.

15 Keys on a Key Ring Lost in Tall Grass, Found and Returned Rocky Point, NC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

May 2nd, I got a call from Sherry telling me she had lost a set of keys while weed eating around her house. She said she had a hole in the pocket of her pants and didn’t realize her keys had fallen through. She also said that the grass was about 8 inches high. We agreed to meet and I set out on the hour and a half drive.

When I met Sherry, she showed me where she had started her weed eating that went around the trailer. The grass was probably thigh deep and I started detecting as well as doing a visual search. About half way around the trailer, I eyeballed the key ring with 15 keys nestled down in the grass. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find a pewter charm that was also on the key chain that had evidentially come off the ring. None the less, Sherry was grateful to get her office, house, car and various other keys back.

Sherry – Thank you for allowing me to help find your keys.

Engagement/Wedding rings lost in the bay, Island Beach State Park NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

Heather and quite a few friends decided to spend the day on the Barnegat Bay. They had rented pontoon boats, three to be exact, and headed out onto the calm waters of Barnegat Bay. They decided to go down to a local boaters hangout called Tices Shoals. It’s a beautiful area on the eastern side of the bay with a beautiful white sand bottom. They were doing the normal things that you would do when you’re out on the water like throwing the football, jumping off the boat, swimming, floating around in tubes, etc. When Heather looked down on her hand with total shock, her beautiful engagement ring and wedding band were gone. She was positive they were there just a few seconds earlier, so it had to have come off when they were throwing the football. The three pontoon boats were anchored up very close to one another, and they knew exactly where they were when they were throwing the football. They looked for quite a while and had no luck. That’s when they decided to reach out to me to see if I was available. They told me they were in the same location, the boats hadn’t been moved, which was fantastic. I asked them to mark the location with the GPS and send it to me. I could be there in a half hour. I grabbed all my gear and my wetsuit and headed out. They were quite a ways from the beach, roughly a half a mile walk. When I arrived, they showed me where they thought the ring had come off, and that’s where I started my search. As with most party spots, many items are dropped in the water, which makes it hard to do recoveries, due to the amount of targets you will come across. I spent about 45 minutes in the one area and had no luck. I came up alongside of a different boat, and I recognized the person who was a very experienced boater. We talked for a while, and I asked him about the wind direction, what it was doing earlier in the day. He said the wind had come around about 180 degrees, which meant the boat was nowhere near the location where the rings came off. The water is a vast area, and as the breeze changes, the boats can swing all over the place. So I made a few adjustments. We pulled the boat around the other direction. They had said they didn’t let any anchor rope out. So that’s where I started my next search. I had Heather stand there as a marker, and I worked between her and the back of the boat. About 10 minutes later, after starting the search in the proper location, the ring was in my scoop, and Heather was in total disbelief. As a matter of fact, nobody in the party could believe we located the ring. Water hunting is extremely difficult, and gps locations are almost a must for success.
