Lost Gold & Diamonds Keepsake Ring at Ala Moana Beach…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I came home to a voicemail from Elizabeth who resides on Oahu. While spending the day with her family at Ala Moana Beach her Keepsake ring fell off in waist deep water. The water was very murky and after hours searching the family gave up. A quick search on Google and Elizabeth found me and left a voicemail as I was out detecting. I called immediately upon returning home. Elizabeth had already left the beach and had returned home heart broken that the ring was gone. I found out the lifeguard at the shack was also informed. Unfortunately that’s not the best option and should be avoided. It’s not their job to help you in that situation, lets just leave it at that. I told Elizabeth I would grab a bite to eat and head down to Ala Moana soonest. It was getting dark so parking should be a snap. As I arrived parking near the exact spot was available and I called Elizabeth for some fine tuning on the hunt. There was a fisherman in the exact starting point so I explained to him what I was doing and would keep an eye out on his fishing line. As I entered the water in ankle deep water I got a nice low tone but choppy. I scooped once and the target shifted to the left. Second try I looked in the scoop and there was Elizabeth’s keepsake ring glistening in the bottom. Wow I thought what luck. And I was expecting to get wet to my waist at least. I immediately called Elizabeth and told her she was blessed and the ring was found. We made arrangements for her to pick up the ring from my home the next day and as you can see it’s another smile for the book. Aloha to Elizabeth!

Lost Platinum Wedding Band at Ko Olina Lagoon…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began on 25 May when I agreed to look for Matt’s Platinum wedding band in Lagoon 3 at Ko Olina resort. Matt was visiting from Southern California with the Mrs. and his band came off will swimming in the lagoon. His flight back to Cali was leaving shortly so he sent me a pic of himself standing in the lagoon where the ring went missing. I decided to go after work and although Matt’s flight was delayed several hours we weren’t able to hook up as road repair work kept me away from Ko Olina several hours. The ring was found very close to Matt’s location in the picture and I texted him a pic after the recovery. Since I was going to SOCAL the next Thursday for a Disneyland vacation Matt & I agreed to meet at our hotel which was about 20 minutes from his home. As you can see Matt & the lovely Mrs. met me in the lobby of the hotel and I was able to hand deliver him his ring. A 2500+ mile ring return. Aloha to Matt and the Mrs.

Lost palladium wedding ring, (recovered) Niles, Michigan (Cass County)

  • from Granger (Indiana, United States)

Andrew was doing spring clean up in his yard, tending to the flower beds and lanscaping. When he removed his glove, his palladium wedding ring went flying in an unknown direction. He thought it likely went into one certain area, but searching there only produced aluminum scrap(flashing) from the home’s construction and a couple pop can pull tabs. I broadened the search area, moving into the small wood lot in the opposite direction where I was finding pop cans and more junk pieces. I got a promising signal in a leaf pile, which ended up being a chipmunk hole entry point. Dug around in the hole with my pinpointer and long behold, the ring had went down the chipmunk hole!

Lost wedding ring (lost for 9 years, recovered), Lake Manitou, Rochester Indiana

  • from Granger (Indiana, United States)

Alan had lost his tungsten wedding band nine years ago, in Lake Manitou, Rochester Indiana. He was helping with the yearly tradition of intalling the cottage dock sections on Memorial Day weekend. While he was holding the second pier section in place, he adjusted his grip and the ring plopped in the waist deep water, vanishing in the rocks and soft bottom. Alan had lost some weight due to a medical condition, so the ring fit very loosely. He had no idea that lost rings/etc could be found in the water, until just recently when he stumbled across the Ringfinders website.
After an hour of searching, finding many other targets and lots of glass shards, it was looking grim. My tenacity paid off though, finally sorted out a mixed signal and scooped up a couple rusty nails along with his tungsten wedding ring! The ring had some cosmetic damage from being in the water, but Alan was very glad to be reunited with his long lost ring!

Safety Search for Nails in Torrance, CA Yard

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

I received an email from Sally requesting my services to make sure there were no more nails in her back yard from a recent re-roofing job. She said that the workers had dragged a magnet through, but she was having a birthday party for her young son on Saturday with water fights and bare feet, and she wanted to be certain the nails were gone. I let her know that is something I could help her with, and we arranged to meet later in the early evening.

When I got to her house she showed me the backyard which wasn’t very large, and I expected a quick search. What I found though was that the magnet had removed all of the roofing nails, but there were a multitude of old rusty nails just on or barely under the surface that could have caused some serious damage to her son or his friends. After about an hour I had removed quite a number of rusty nails and other sharp objects, along with some other metal objects. Sally and her husband were very happy to know that the yard did not have any surface dangers to deal with.

Sally sent the following testimonial:

Steve is not just for finding lost engagement rings! My house was recently reroofed and I had the backyard swept over with a magnetic sweeper multiple times in order to catch nails and other roofing debris. My son is having a bday party this Saturday and I just couldn’t rest easy knowing that children would be running around barefoot. Someone recommended Steve and I emailed him this morning. He came out this afternoon and found a handful of nails that looked like tetanus waiting to happen. So thankful he was suggested to me. Seems like a great guy as well. Highly recommend.

Sally

Update: The party went well and kids were still nail-free by the end of the day 😉

Wedding Ring Lost in Gulf of Mexico for 3 weeks, by John Volek TRF-Houston

Wedding Ring Lost in Gulf of Mexico…State of Louisiana, found by John Volek TRF-Houston

I was contact by Charles a resident of Little Rock Arkansas, who was looking for someone to help him find his lost wedding ring…

Charles reported he and his family were on vacation at Rutherford Beach in Louisiana when he had the mis-fortune of loosing his wedding ring in the Gulf of Mexico.

Charles reported while spending time at the beach with his family, he ventured into the water and when he was about waist deep, he dove in…

Charles said as he dove into the water he felt his ring slide off of his finger…Charles said he knew at that moment his ring might be lost forever…

Charles then stated, this had happened neatly three weeks ago, but he was still holding onto hope…

Charles provided some very specific land marks, which where the deciding factor in pursuing this recovery effort.

Based on the location and distance, I new this would need to be a two-man effort minimal…I reached out to a good friend Carl Sedita and laid out the details.

After looking over all of the details, we knew it would be a long-shot, but we decided to give it a try for Charles and his family…

Irreplaceable wedding ring set recovered!

  • from Green Bay (Wisconsin, United States)

Shortly after the Memorial Day weekend, I received an email from Faye asking if I could possibly find her wedding ring.  She had attended a picnic at her boss’s home and lost the ring there.     We set up a date for June 7th after work, and I drove to about 45 miles to the site and met her there.    The yard was large, the sun was hot, but the grass was only about 4 inches long, which made my sweeps easier.  I gridded and criss-crossed the areas where Faye had been, but her face grew longer as the search went on.  Finally, 58 minutes into it, I swept the final few square yards near the exit gate and my AT Pro rang it out loud and clear!   She couldn’t believe it, and her smile was huge!   Looking at the ring set, especially when I expected a plain band, showed why.  It’s an irreplaceable work of art!

Lost 2018 Texas A&M Class Ring.. Lost in a Hidden Paradise… Recovered by John Volek TRF-Houston

Lost 2018 Texas A&M Class Ring.. Lost in a Hidden Paradise… Recovered by The Ring Finders Houston, Texas…
I was contacted by Jordan regarding his newly acquired and recently lost 2018 Texas A&M Class Ring.
Jordan had the unfortunate luck to loose his newly acquired class ring on a sand bar along the San Jacinto River…
Jordan reported he and his family spent a number of hours searching for his ring with no luck…he reported a neighborhood friend came out with a metal detector and still no luck…

Plans were made to meet up with Jordan and his family the following day…I arrived the next day, and as planned we made a short boat ride to an area know as Banana Bend, on the San Jacinto River…As we arrived, I was amazed to see this little hidden paradise…really clean white sandy beaches along this stretch of the San Jacinto River…

As we arrived Jordan directed me to the area where he and several friends had been playing volleyball. Jordan was very confident his ring would be located in the area of the volleyball court.

About 45 minutes into the search, I came upon Jordan’s 2018 Texas A&M Class Ring buried in about 4 inches of sand just outside of the volleyball court area…

Engagement Ring Lost on Los Angeles Street…Found and Happily Returned.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

Michelle called yesterday. She believed she had lost her engagement ring while walking down the street swatting at some leaves that were extending into the sidewalk. It was the only likely area, because it was the only area with a lot of vegetation, and with her hand motions combined, sounded like the ideal situation. We agreed to meet this morning to do the search.

I got to the spot and contacted Michelle to let her know I had arrived. She immediately came over and took me to the area of the possible loss. It definitely looked at though it could have swallowed her ring. There was a lot of over and under growth as well as dead leaves to hide her ring. I then asked her to recreate what she did the night before which showed me where her ring could have flown to. I began where she had started swatting the leaves finding numerous items of metal, many good signals but mostly foil, but no ring. At the very end of the bushes I received another good signal, and putting in my pin pointer to find the item, and moving the leaves around, there it was, Michelle’s ring which I promptly held up for her. She was so surprised and elated, but with a bit of disbelief not thinking it could have been found. She had received this ring from her fiancé while she was still in school waiting for graduation to get married. She had just recently graduated, and was looking forward to arranging the wedding when this loss occurred. It’s so great to restore the joy to people who lose it so quickly.
