Received a call from a man who had lost his 14K wedding band while playing in a corn pit. He had me come out to look for it. Corn pits, for those who don’t know, is a structure, that is filled with corn kernels that people play in. They generally are about 2 feet deep and are very hard to walk in AND very difficult to hunt. As you dig for the lost item, the corn fills in the hole. Its a tough workout!! I devised a box to help prevent that filling in. I was able to find His ring in about 10 minutes. Thats because he called me soon after he lost it. The longer you wait, the deeper it goes and the harder it is to find.

Once I found his ring, the manager of the Odyssey Fun Farm, told me that a woman had also lost her Diamond wedding band the same morning. So I searched for that ring too. I found it within 30 minutes. The manager called the woman’s husband, and he came out with his daughter to retrieve it.

Lost diamond ring in Park City, Utah: Found

Jon and his family came from Louisiana to Park City to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with his family at a nice vacation home. When Jon’s wife threw a snowball from an upper balcony, her ring slipped off and fell into the snowy yard below. They searched through the snow for hours, but when they couldn’t find the ring, they called me. We got more snow overnight, so I got to swing my detector through 14 inches of Park City powder. That’s a workout! But I found the ring this morning and shipped it off to Louisiana this afternoon.

Received a call at about 6:30 from a young man seeking help. The couple had been married only a month and were at Oak Street beach with a group of friends. She had placed the ring on her towel for safe keeping. Needless to say it fell into the sand. There were a number of people helping look. All digging in the sand. When He called me I told him to stop the digging. The ring could sink deeper. I arrived and found her ring in about 30 seconds!! All the guests and surrounding people came over and were shocked that I was able to find it.

White gold ring recovered in Greewood Village yard

  • from Denver (Colorado, United States)

Melissa was out making snow angels in the fresh fallen snow with her children and fiancé on New Years Day. This was a quick and impromptu decision so all ran out without putting on hats or gloves. After making their snow angels everybody was getting up and Melissa was shaking the snow off her hands when her 14 kt white gold engagement ring that she received just the week before during Christmas slipped off her hand. Her son is the one that noticed that her ring was gone and the search for the ring began. Their search included raking the snow, moving snow aside with their feet and also taking large pots of snow inside and melting them on the stove. After a few hours of fruitless searching Melissa contacted me about coming to conduct a search.

Upon my arrival we looked over the search are and I put on my hunting boots because there was 6″-8″ of snow in their yard. After 10-15 minutes of searching my White’s V3i gave me a wonderful 12/13 on the VDI meter, I looked up at Melissa’s fiancé and said « I like this signal ». I pulled out my Pro Pointer and pinpointed the signal, it seemed to be hung up in the snow. After pulling away some of the snow Melissa’s ring was revealed to the light of day. Melissa is now going to go get her ring sized properly.
