Lost Platinum & Diamonds Engagement Ring at Lanikai Beach…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a call from Avery who was on vacation from Orange County, California and enjoying the day at Lanikai Beach.  So her mom Julia had taken off her rings to apply sunscreen on her and her sister Kindle.  When she finished and moved to another area on the beach they must have fallen out of her dress.  I told them I would pack my gear and head over but they had already left the beach.  They turned around and decided they would wait at the beach for me so they could show the area to hunt.  Lanikai is quite an extensive beach.  When I arrived I was blessed to get the first spot near the beach access as a car was leaving.  That never happens!  Since losing the ring earlier in the day the tide had come up and the area was now wet but the surf was calm.  Julia drew a box in the sand and I started a grid search.  No ring.  She called Kindle & Avery over and they thought I should be hunting more to the North.  I started way farther down the beach and worked my way back.  Found a brand new nickel which I thought would be the ring.  Then finally in wet sand I got a nice #7 on the Manticore.  In one scoop there was Julia’s stunning ring in the scoop with a huge diamond glistening in the sunlight.  She was obviously overwhelmed,  I think she was holding back tears.  There were two more rings in this loss but an expanding grid search they never came up.  I went all the way to the waters edge and low tide mark but no luck.  We guess those may have been eyeballed by someone earlier in the day as Julia and her girls went to a different area of the beach before they realized the rings were gone.  They are platinum with diamonds around one of them if someone can come forward with them that would be awesome.  Julia was obviously pleased to have her diamond ring back on her finger.  Aloha to Julia, Avery & Kindle!

Sonny called me after dark having lost a precious heirloom pendant while playing volleyball at Mother’s Beach in Marina Del Rey. I was available, and let him know I would get there as soon as I could to help him find his lost keepsake.

I arrived a little early, and phoned Sonny to let him know I was there. He saw me in the parking lot, and let me know where he was. I got with him and asked what had happened, and the area of the possible loss. I then got my equipment ready, and began my search. I searched the side of the court he had been playing in first with no luck. I then went to the other side, and halfway into the first pass, a very strong signal rang in my head phones. I dug, and as I was shaking out my scoop, Sonny could hear the clanging of the large pendant, and exclaimed that’s it, he found it. As can be seen in the photo, he is very happy to have back something that means something special to the family.

*** I was having my morning coffee when I received a text from Julie. She asked for help to find her wedding ring which got dropped in the sand during her wedding ceremony.  She did say it was lost at Little Corona Delmar Beach which is very close to my home. My problem was I had to be in Malibu by 11am.

I called Julie to get the best directions, so I could decide if I could fit the search in before driving across Los Angeles to Malibu. Timing is always important, so it was a quick call. The photo of the ceremony on the beach gave me enough background information that helped to make this a successful recovery.

The small gold diamond ring was found right at the top of the high tide water line. I had time to take a few photos and sent the good news to Julie and Marisa.  Later that afternoon I met them near their home to return the ring and get a photo for the book of smiles on my blog. It was my pleasure to meet them and return such a special ring.

This is not uncommon to lose a ring during a marriage proposal or a wedding ceremony. I love helping to make these special events a happily ever after moment. Call or text for help.. I will try anywhere . 949-500-2136

Englewood Beach Yarmouth, MA Wedding Band Found and Returned

  • from Cape Cod (Massachusetts, United States)

June 7, 2025

It was on the fifth day before Dan’s first anniversary that he and his wife were enjoying boating on Cape Cod’s water, visiting a small island and a sandy beach with their granddaughter and family when somewhere along the way his one year old wedding band slipped off his finger.

The previous days of searching did not locate the ring. After hearing of a story of one of my previous finds, Dan’s wife took family recommendation about a group called TheRingFinders and and did a web search. Her search showed 4 entries for Cape Cod and she called me as I had over 200 returns and was the closest to her. Within two hours I was searching for the ring. Dan and Donna showed up about ten minutes into my cursory search. I had gone under the swing set and down to the water’s edge with only one signal, that of a of a penny. We then talked about Dan’s area of walking on the beach and I was close, but I was not close enough. The area were a dinghy was moved to and that of a swing set, where the granddaughter had enjoyed being push by Dan, would need a more thorough search.

I continued my search to the dinghy area and then up to the swing set area, finding a button and another penny on the way. I expanded the area under the sixth swing and very close to a leg of the swing set the best signal of the day rang into my ears. A small scoop into the sand, a quick shake of the scoop and there it was – the ring that would not stay lost for the evening’s anniversary party. What a day for the 78 year old couple, on their first anniversary! A day to remember.

Lost Condo Key Found in the Sand Wildwood, NJ Ring Finders South Jersey John Favano

  • from North Wildwood (New Jersey, United States)

There’s nothing quite like a summer day on the beach in Wildwood, NJ  warm sun, cool waves, and good company. But sometimes, the fun gets interrupted by a small mistake that quickly turns into a big problem. That’s exactly what happened recently when Karen’s son’s friend accidentally lost their condo key on the beach. What started as a game of catch quickly turned into a frantic search in the sand—and that’s when I got the call.

Karen explained that the boys were tossing the key back and forth, not thinking much of it. But one throw went too high, and the key slipped through someone’s fingers and vanished into the soft Wildwood sand. They spent nearly an hour digging around, hoping it would turn up, but it was nowhere to be found. With the sun starting to set and no spare key available, panic started to set in.

Luckily, Karen knew about The Ring Finders South Jersey, and she gave me a call. I was already nearby, and just 10 minutes later, I was on the scene with my metal detector in hand and ready to help.

Wildwood, NJ has a wide beach, and once something small like a key disappears into the sand, it can be nearly impossible to find without the right tools. I asked a few quick questions to pinpoint the general area where the key was lost. The boys had done a good job marking the spot where they last saw it, which made the search much easier.

Within five minutes of scanning the area with my metal detector, I got a solid signal. A few scoops later, and there it was the lost condo key, still partially buried beneath the sand. The look of relief on everyone’s faces was priceless. Karen thanked me repeatedly, saying she had no idea how they would’ve gotten back into the condo if it weren’t for the quick recovery.

This is just one example of how The Ring Finders South Jersey can help when something important goes missing on the beach. Whether it’s a lost ring, key, phone, or other metal item, our tools and experience can often recover what seems lost forever.

If you’re spending time at the shore and misplace something valuable, don’t waste time digging blindly. Give me a call and let me help. I specialize in recoveries in Wildwood, NJ, and all along the South Jersey coast. Fast response, expert search, and a happy ending that’s what I aim to deliver every time.

For lost rings or valuables in Wildwood, NJ,  The Ring Finders South Jersey will help bring your beach day back on track.

Lost Wedding Ring in Waikiki Beach

  • from Waikīkī Beach (Hawaii, United States)

Lost Wedding Ring Found in Waikiki Beach

It all started when I got a call from Karla and Harvey about Harvey’s lost wedding band at Waikiki Beach. Knowing that Waikiki is a heavily searched area for metal detecting, I called Karla, Harvey’s partner, to gather more details. I wanted to plan my day carefully because time and conditions matter when there’s surf and other elements that com into play.

When I arrived at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Karla met me and walked me down to where she, Harvey, and their kids had been sitting. We pinpointed the general area where Harvey believed he’d lost the ring. I asked Harvey if he’d be willing to jump in the water with me to help narrow down the search. He agreed.

I fired up my XP Deus II detector, suited up, and waded out with Harvey to the reef where he thought he’d dropped it. I started a systematic grid search, pulling up nickels, pennies, fake chains—everything except his ring. After hours of searching in the choppy tide, I decided it was too challenging to continue, so I let Harvey know I’d come back the next morning.

Early the next morning, I packed my gear, headed back to Waikiki, and retraced my steps. I focused on the area Harvey described, but again, came up empty after hours of searching. I texted Harvey to let him know I hadn’t found the ring and needed to spend some time with my family. But I assured him I’d return.

The following morning, I repeated my routine—gear packed, car parked at the Royal Hawaiian—and decided to follow my gut instinct. I shifted my search to a different part of the beach, noticing more reef in this area. That made sense, given the conditions.

While scanning the reef shelf, I got a strong signal. Mask and snorkel on, I dove down, held onto the reef, and started digging. First scoop—still there. Second scoop—still there. Third scoop—and suddenly, I felt the ring slide onto my finger.

Holding my fist close to my mask in the murky water, I saw a beautiful 14-karat ring lined with diamonds. I surfaced and shouted, “I found it!” Curious beachgoers gathered around, and I explained that it was a lost wedding ring from a couple of days ago, now found. Everyone cheered—what an amazing feeling!

But Harvey and his family were no longer at Waikiki Beach. They’d moved on to Aulani, the Disney hotel on the other side of the island. I called Harvey and asked if we could meet.

I packed up, drove out to Aulani, parked in the valet, and waited. When Harvey walked down to meet me, I handed him his ring—he had no idea I’d found it. The joy and relief on his face were priceless.

Thank you, Karla and Harvey, for allowing me to be part of this special recovery. What was lost is now found. Another successful recovery—and a reminder that sometimes, persistence and instinct make all the difference.

Lost white gold and diamond ring surprise found after 3 years Blair Nebraska

Contact me for all your metal detecting and recovery needs. Rob 402-580-6933. Land, water, cracks in concrete, rings, keys, hearing aids, phones, etc. Helping law enforcement. Serving Lincoln and the greater Nebraska area..

This recovery starts with a story 3 years ago in 2022. Breanna took her rings off and put them in her pocket to keep them safe. She was coaching some kids sports and didn’t want to damage them. Later she went to put her rings back on and 1 of the 3 was missing. All the rings were custom made and the engagement ring was the one missing. They immediately started searching the area. Got metal detectors, had all the kids down on their hands and knees. She repeated this every night with her husband. After a month they were convinced that it might have got lost in the parking when she got her keys out and someone must have picked it up. Posting on social media had no results………until I joined that private Facebook page looking for cold cases. I reached out to try to get more information. After no success of communicating I decided to go out with the information given in the post and see if i could find it. I laid out my grid and after 3 hours got the signal that I wanted to hear among all the trash. I was then able to get ahold of Breanna a couple days later where she received a video of her ring coming out of the ground. There are lots details to this story. To much to write about. Tanner and Breanna agreed to meet up and share the story when they picked up her ring. Video link below. It was my honor to recover and return this ring on their 20th anniversary. Congratulations Tanner and Breanna.

LOST 14k WHITE GOLD ENGAGEMENT RING IN CHARLOTTE, NC…… FOUND!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a text last night asking for help to find an engagement ring lost in their backyard. We planned on me being there at 9:30 am.

Story goes, they were laying on blanket in the backyard when she had put ring on her pinky, stood up and it slipped off into the thick grass. They searched and searched, bought a pinpointer and even ordered a metal detector as well.

He found me online and asked if I could help.

I made the hour and half drive, get the location, turn on and set up my machine, take a step and boom there it was!

Love helping people find the little priceless things they lost and put them back in their life!

Lost Smart Ring Found in Royal Oak Michigan

The One Ring to Rule Them All?…,,,,

…How about a smart ring? Some of the features include health, heart monitoring, and can track where you go, the ad mentioned. This caught Joey’s attention and for a moment his thoughts went back to one of his favorite superheroes….. The Green Lantern and his power ring…. How cool would it be to have something similar but different in the sense of helping change how he could track his health. Further reading checked all the boxes and Joey bought one. But what happed next isn’t your average superhero story. When he called and said he lost his smart ring I asked if it was so smart why did it jump off his finger? lol. He said as he was leaving a little league game it started raining and the ring was lost in a grass area near the parking lot. Using my MXT metal detector it only took a few minutes, and the ring was recovered in the grass. Joey was thrilled that the future was back on his finger, and he was ready again to simplify his life with just a touch. The question remains tho, with all this ring’s monitoring and tracking true love capabilities, are you ready to say I Do with one?
