October 2021 Allen reached out to me asking for help in recovering her lost sterling silver keep sake ring she received from her grandmother when she was very young. This ring yet simple in design holds a lost of memories and would mean a lot if she could get it back. She explained that a few days prior she had got up early, went down to a bakery for some local treats and then went over to the public dock. She sat down on the dock with her breakfast and prepared to enjoy a library book. Being that the baked goods were sticky she took several rings off of her fingers and placed them in her lap thinking that was not a good idea but proceeded in doing so. As she enjoyed her morning treats and reading her book the weather turned on her with our typical Pacific North West rain flurry. As she jumped up to move out of the rain she remembered her rings in her lap as she looked down and watched them fall to the dock around her feet. She sadly watched the ring she cherished the most do a few bounces and to her dismay on the last bounce it landed into the marina water below.

After a quick search online she found TheRingFinders.com where she found my offer of assistance for lost item recovery.

Watch the video to see as we bring a smile back to Allen’s face as her cherished ring is reunited with her once again.

September 2021 DJ and his wife Kim were enjoying a day on Ohop Lake doing some kayaking. Kim suggested to her husband to take all of his valuables off for safe keeping so he did and casually placed his wedding ring in his t-shirt pocket not thinking twice about it. It was a hot day so when he returned to the dock he took off his shirt off and in doing so he immediately head a few “tink” “think” sounds looked down and watched his gold wedding band of twenty-four hears fall though the slats of the dock into the lake below. In his disappointment as they went to the patio for a bite to eat he started Googling for “Under water ring recovery near you”. The search landed him on TheRingFinders.com directory listing. Within a minute he was able to locate my listing allowing him to reach out for an experienced underwater lost ring recovery specialist.

When he reached out to me I was on holiday in Hawaii but I gladly took his call and listened to his situation. After hearing the details of a lost wedding band under residential dock I reassured him that his ring wasn’t going anywhere and that as soon as I got back into town and cleared up a few previous searches he’d be scheduled as soon as possible.

That schedule did come and we were still in our warm season making for a wonderful day on the lake. Even though this was a shallow water recovery it had some additional points to work around. The lake was still very silty with a lot of particulate in the water and his ring was under a dock. Even with these additional safety concerns a proper dive plan was made taking care for all safety precautions for a successful outcome.

Watch the video for the exciting conclusion of a lost gold wedding band of twenty-four years under a dock.

Some good old boys gave me a call asking for some emergency assistance searching for a diamond gold nugget ring lost on a dusty trail. I was able to meet them and found that it was indeed a dusty trail to say the least. The gentleman was walking and simply lost his footing, went down and when doing so his ring came off his finger. He was OK after dusting himself off there was absolutely no sign of his large chunky diamond gold nugget wedding ring. The men quickly fetched a cheap metal detector from a local shop but still could not locate the ring. After a quick Google search they found my services and the hunt was on!

After a few minutes over this dusty trail I was able to quickly locate his precious ring saving the day. It was an absolute honor to recover such a nice ring for this man. Sometimes we just need a little assistance and I was happy to provide a helping hand this day.

Recovery Of Lost Wedding Rings Cle Elum River Ronald WA

Watch this video of Sterling’s lost wedding band that got pulled off his finger by a Cle Elum River rapid.

Like share and subscribe…

This adventure took place on August of 2021. Sterling contacted me and explained a few weeks prior he had lost his rose gold wedding band of seven years in the Cle Elum River in a rapid.  My first reaction after hearing river rapids left me a bit questioning what chance of recovery we would have but I always remain optimistic and refuse to blurt out negativity during my interview process. I learned early on by having an open mind willing to seek out all possibilities is more than half the battle in all of these recovery cases.

Sterling continue to share his story that he believed he lost his wedding band when going down an aggressive rapid attached to a popular river swimming hole. He went on to tell me he had returned a few days after the incident with a snorkel, mask and fins and actually got over the top of the rapid looking for his ring. He had a stick in his hand that he was poking the rocks with when he saw a shimmer. After closer inspection it was a wedding ring that he was able to poke his stick through and pulled it out of the river. It was not his ring but it was found in the same spot he suspected his was lost.

We made a plan to meetup so he could show me the exact spot where he rode the rapid and lost his wedding band. He also shared that the access would be fairly easy for me to get my SCUBA gear to the water. I was energetic and ready for this day of adventure, to SCUBA dive a clean mountain river would be a welcome refreshing mission.

After arriving Sterling was very detailed and clear on his recollection of the days events that took place when he lost his ring. After a brief introduction and recap of his story we got the gear setup and straight to action. It was an easy entry to the down stream swimming hole just after the rapid. This area was wide and allowed for plenty of room for any one blown through the rapid to easily swim without a strong current danger. This is what makes this site a very popular swimming hole. My dive plan was to start down stream in the calmer waters and work my search effort up into the actual rapid.

My plan worked as intended and turned in to a very enjoyable dive effort. At some point during my dive Sterling got my attention and signaled me to surface. He had been working the rapid with mask, fins and snorkel again while I was at depth searching the river bed. He told me he located two rings. When he went to retrieve them he got one and the other blew past a bit and got caught up in some rocks under the rapids. He told me he actually recovered his own rose gold wedding band and he wanted me to recover the other wedding ring still in the rapid.

I was very happy for him to have found his ring and absolutely amazed that three lost wedding rings had been found in this section of the river. I made my way back into the rapid with my SCUBA gear and the flow of the river was extremely compressed as it channeled through the bedrock. Even though it was only a few feet at most the restriction of the river water drastically increases the pressure. Along with this there was a lot of bubble formation that causes a little bit of a visibility impairment when trying to search for lost items. I also had to keep my face down as not to have the flow of the river pushing against the purge on my SCUBA regulator. If at any time I were to find the conditions beyond my physical capabilities I would have been able to easily abort the action. Fortunately I was able to coexist in this extreme river environment but had to take it slow and calculate my every move.

I was able to work my way into the rapid and after digging around in the bed rocks I uncovered the third wedding ring Sterling had told me about.

It was a great day and we were very happy to have recovered three missing wedding rings from the grips of the river.

Sterling was very happy and appreciative of my support and assistance on this mission. We both walked away exhausted with smiles from ear to ear.

As a recovery specialist these are some of the most memorable experiences I will look back upon. With a quiet humbleness I will remember owning the river for that brief moment in time.

Lost Gold Wedding Band Alki Beach Seattle

Watch this video of Andrew’s lost wedding band that shot off his finger throwing a volleyball at Alki Beach Seattle.

Like share and subscribe…

This adventure took place on August of 2021.  Andrew contacted me asking for some assistance in locating his hammered white gold wedding band of fifteen years. He explained that he was in town visiting a friend enjoying some time on Alki Beach. Before their dinner plans they had walked as a group down to the beach enjoying the views. While on the beach a near by volleyball rolled their direction from a close game. Andrew explained that he picked up the volleyball and with both hands on the ball at chest level thrusted it back towards the players. In doing so he immediately realized his wedding band had shot off his finger over the dry sand.

As we know once any ring is dropped over dry sand it is immediately consumed and out of sight in a second. Alki beach is one of our most popular beaches in the Seattle area so I made a priority to start my search as quickly as possible if there were to be any chance of a recovery.

Andrew and I were not able to meet in person so we worked many details through text messaging. After I arrived on the beach I was able to send many photos trying to narrow down exactly where he was when the ring went missing. There was quite a bit of uncertainty of the precise location but he had a solid memory of the general area witch was enough for me to get started.

Andrew’s visit to Seattle had also come to an end and he was flying back home the the East Coast as I continued searching for his lost wedding band.

After several attempts over the course of three consecutive days I learned his friend who lives within minutes of the beach most likely had a clearer idea of where he was standing when the ball was tossed.  After reaching out to the friend I learned that he had tried to locate the ring himself with a rented metal detector with no success, just finding some typical beach trash. This is quite common when people with no search experience obtain a metal detector and attempt to find a lost item. Absolutely nothing against these heroic efforts its pretty clear after seeing this happen for many years that inexperienced people simply have not developed the necessary skills in understanding what a metal detector is telling them and often no real organized search skills. It pays to reach out to an experienced Recovery Specialist from TheRingFinders.com to give your search the full attention that it deserves. We have spent years honing our craft and are honored to be able to help so many people recover their lost precious items of value.

I was able to have a FaceTime video call with Andrew’s friend while on the beach and he was able to clarify the location where the incident took place. With this newly confirmed information I was empowered to continue the search and not call it off until I was absolutely satisfied in my search efforts.

I am glad I persevered and continued the search as I did locate Andrew’s lost wedding ring!

Sand and Gravel Quarry… Broken Equipment…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Chris Turner- Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

Most of my searches are for lost rings, cell phones, car and house keys… Today I got a call to travel two hours to a rock quarry in Agassiz BC, Armstrong Sand and Gravel LTD, to look for a broken part of machinery. It was the finger from a backhoe that had broken off and was hiding somewhere in the rock and gravel, out of sight.

This was a huge concern for if it made its way into the rock crusher it would’ve destroyed it completely (weighs close to 200 pounds), not a good time as we are just dealing with disastrous floods in the area for the past week. I didn’t realize how important a rock quarry is and how essential this service is, as without them it would be impossible to rebuild infrastructure’s like roads and railroad tracks, This company was incredibly busy unlike any other year in their history, section of our highway were closed for close to a week and we have lost the use of the Coquihalla highway that is the « lifeline » between BC and the rest of Canada. Most likely to re-open in January, Abbotsford which suffered huge floods are said to have a two year recovery ahead of them to rebuild their infrastructure… The floods caused at least 450 million in damages. Local crops were contaminated, vegetable crops destroyed by floodwaters.

My search took approximately one hour and 30 minutes and I found it in the third location.  It was covered up and buried but not deep, they were very very happy that it was found and they can continue crushing rocks and getting trucks out to rebuild the infrastructure’s and help our roads get fixed.

Lost Platinum Wedding Band Dock Jump Lake Sammamish WA

Lost Platinum Wedding Band Dock Jump Lake Sammamish WA

Watch this video recovery of Andy’s Lost Platinum Wedding Band in Lake Sammamish WA.

June of 2021 in the middle of our summer heat wave I was contacted by Andy who needed some dive recovery assistance. He was in town for a bachelor party staying at a lake side rental property. The home has its own back yard private dock on Lake Sammamish. With the summer heat at full boil at 102° F everyone had been spending a lot of time in the water. Andy’s situation was no different, he decided after a cup of morning wakeup coffee to take a refreshing jump off the end of the dock. As he was swimming up to the surface he felt his platinum wedding band slide off is finger. He had a moment of panic then got on line to do a little research on how to find a lost ring in the lake. Thankfully he landed on TheRingFinders.com website and hailed my attention for assistance.

Once I arrived on site with all my gear one of the top two constraints to this mission was the broiling heat and the large down hill pathway from the residence to the waters edge. Both of witch we managed at a slow pace. Being cautious not to get heat stroke plenty of fluids were consumed and the dive gear was not put on until moments before entering the refreshing lake water. Refreshing it was!

Even though the ring was lost at a shallow sixteen foot depth it was too deep for a typical swimmer to search. The lake bottom in the middle of the summer was in full bloom with lots of organic growth that directly translates into silty low visibility waters. With my trained SCUBA dive capabilities, metal detection gear, PVC search grid and lost item search experience I was able to recover his ring from the lake.

All ended well as Andy was able to be reunited with his wedding ring. He was happy to continue on with the enjoyment of the weekend celebration. There was no reason for him to leave his precious wedding band behind and for this I’m thankful he reached out to TheRingFinders.com for some professional recovery assistance!

Lost diamond wedding band Jericho beach… Found

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Vancouver Ring Finder Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

11:15 PM I got a call from a young man whose wife lost a beautiful diamond ring at Jericho Beach while they were watching fireworks for Halloween. I could tell the panic in his voice and how much he wanted me to come out and search for it. The only problem was I was I was getting up at 5 AM to go to work and the beach is 40 minutes away from my home. After talking for five minutes I jumped in my car and headed to the beach to help them look for his wife’s diamond ring. I made it to the beach at 12:15 AM and met the young couple they show me the area where they believe the ring was lost, he told me he raced off to the store and bought a metal detector and search for it but could not find it. That’s OK because a lot of people buy or rent Metal Detector’s and don’t find their ring, the differences is I have 50 years of experience and know how to think out-of-the-box.

Well that being said after two hours of searching I could not find her ring??? I extended the search far and beyond the hot spot with no success, I asked more questions and found out later that there was a possibility when she took her gloves off at one part of the beach it may have come off then. We searched that area for a little bit but it was getting too late, I had to get home and get some sleep because I was working the next morning.

I got home shortly after 3 AM and got a couple hours asleep and went to work, I started thinking about the search and what I could do when I went back that evening. I contacted Martan and asked him if it was OK if I went back to research the area without them being there, he said absolutely!

After a 13 hour day at work with a little sleep, I headed straight out to the beach I re-searched the area with no luck then expand the search to where she believed the ring could’ve come off when she took off her gloves.  I searched there and that took almost an hour of searching with no luck!

I  went back to the hotspot and headed towards the water, this was the area that they told me the ring could not possibly be found because she was never in that area…. Guess what? you guessed! that’s where it was found. I always tell my members to think out-of-the-box we listen to our clients but we also have to listen to our hearts and our experience. I knew there was a ring there, I just had to go over to find it… I found it just before midnight and was able to meet up with them that evening and give it back. I was so excited to see that in my sand scoop! What a beautiful ring and that ring gets to go back to the young lady and that story gets to continue. I met such a lovely couple and I was so excited to be able to help them recover this beautiful ring.

Metal detector can find a Micro SD Card!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Vancouver Ring Finder Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

Last week I received a call from a young man asking if I could help him find a micro SD card that he lost at a a rock quarry in town called Hope. I knew this would be a tough search as there wasn’t much metal on a micro SD card. I did ask a friend of mine to test with his machines because he had a micro SD card and he reported back that it was detectible.

I contacted the young man and said yes I could help but before we go up to Hope (2 hour drive + 30 minutes up a bumpy road to the location. I would want to meet up just to make sure and test with my equipment. Saturday we met at 8 AM I tested both Metal Detectors the AT Gold with a sniper coil and the Equinox 800 in gold mode. Both machines were able to detect the small micro SD card along with both Garrett pin pointers. So off we went to Hope to search for this SD card with all his videos of the party he was at and the camping trip with his friends he hadn’t see in quite some time.

According to the weather report we were supposed to get rained on and we were prepared but fortunately did not have to worry about that, Daniel show me the area where he believed he had lost it at. Unfortunately there’s a lot of trash, spent rifle shells, nails ,wire, your typical garbage. I use my AT Gold and spent close to an hour and a half clearing out the area then I pulled out the equinox 800 and within minutes I found his SD card.

Daniel was so happy to get it back in his possession,   I was happy to be able to help him find it,  much like the rings I find, this too has stories attached to it and a lot of videos that you could never get back. It was a lot of fun beautiful drive and I love my office and thank you so much for the very kind and generous reward Daniel!
