Jacqueline contacted me after losing her diamond ring at the beach. I asked if she was still near the spot of the loss, and she told me she stayed there. I told her I would leave right away to go and conduct a search for her, knowing that the sooner the search after a loss, the better the chance of a successful recovery.

Joseph called me for help in finding his lost ring. He had been playing volley ball with friends, when he hit the ball, and his ring flew off. After an unfruitful search in the sand at the court, he called. I was available, and knowing that he was still at the spot encouraged me to go immediately to try and have a successful recovery.

When I got to the beach Joseph saw me walking in his direction, and waved me over. We talked a bit about what had happened, where he was standing when he hit the ball, and where he believed the ring went into the sand. I got my equipment ready, and let him know that it could possibly be in another part of the court, but my search would find it. I began in the direction he showed me, and within 30 seconds I was able to give him back his ring. He was very happy, and I was happy for him. A great day!

I received a call from Eitan about his lost ring. He was at the beach with his children when while they were playing in the sand, he threw some sand, and his ring went with it. I left right away to insure that he stayed in the spot, and that I could have the best opportunity for a successful recovery.

When I arrived at the beach, it did not take long to find Eitan, and I could see that he had been hard at work with a sifter going through the sand. He showed me the area he believed the ring to be lost, and I got set up to search. Before I got started, a gentleman who had been passing by wanted to know what we were doing, so Eitan and I let him know about the ring. He got excited about the search, and stood around talking to Eitan while I searched. I searched in the area that was given as a possible area of loss, but it wasn’t to be. I then began working my way back to where Eitan had his bags, and had already sifted the sand. I got the signal I was hoping for, dug, and had the ring. I held it up, and before Eitan could come and retrieve it, the gentleman that was talking to him ran over and hugged me. That recovery made everyone happy. This is a wonderful service for sure.

Shelly contacted me after desperately searching for the rings she lost at the beach while out with her family. They were still at the spot, so I let them know I would leave immediately to come and help them.

When I got there Shelly met me, and explained what had happened. She showed me where she had been when the rings were lost, so I had a good reference as to where to begin. I got my detector ready, and we moved anything metal away from the search area like beach chairs, and aluminum cans. The search was short, mainly because they had remained in the area, and knew where to look. I found one ring first, and gave it to Shelly, and then began the search for the other. Nicholas called wondering if I could come out and locate his wife’s lost engagement ring. She had lost it in some very tall grass on a small hillside, and he was unable to find it. I told him I would come and do a search for him, gathered my equipment, and was on my way.

When I got there Nicholas was waiting for me. He was able to explain how the ring was lost, and was able to narrow down the area where it might have gone. The grass was fresh, and pliable so I was able to sweep the coil to lean the grass over, and get as close to the ground as possible. I got a call from a gentleman who lost his ring at the beach. He had gone surfing, and left it with his belongings. He picked his stuff up when leaving forgetting it was there, and the ring was gone. We arranged to meet right away so as to insure a successful recovery.

I received a call from Mary whose friend had lost a piece of jewelry while participating in a beach volley ball tournament. While going for the ball he hooked the chain holding the pendant, and it disappeared in the sand. I told her I would leave right away.

When I got there people were everywhere, and games going on in every court. It seemed an impossible task to do a search, but I was able to find Mary. She told me that it was believed to be lost on the perimeter of the court, so while the game was in play I ducked in and out of the court to detect. Finally the game ended, and I had a few minutes before the next one began to search some more. Then under the perimeter line I got a signal, dug with my scoop, but nothing came up. I was still getting a good signal, but nothing. Then I noticed something fall from my scoop on the next dig, and reached down to retrieve it. It was the pendant. Mary was happy, and her friend who had stared his new game gave me a quick handshake.

Eric called having lost his wedding ring the day before, hoping I would be able to find it for him. When he told me the beach he had lost it at, I told him that this was one of the cleanest beaches in the Southern California area because the county cleans the beach daily with very good machines. I could tell he needed closure, and we agreed to meet that day.

When I got there Eric met me and we walked out to the area he believed he lost the ring. As we walked out the sand was smooth as could be from the machines going over the sand that morning which wasn’t a good sign. We got to the spot which was near the slope to the water, and there was a strip of about 1 to 2 feet of sand that was untouched by the machine. I began my search in the area he showed me which was smooth, but worked the untouched area as well. Low and behold, in that small section of untouched sand I found Eric’s ring. I be honest, it surprised the both of us. What a happy reunion.

Sandy contacted me about a lost ring. Her friend was visiting from overseas, and while in the yard, he lost his ring in the thick grass. He had gotten the ring when he visited North Africa, so it had special meaning to him. I arranged with Sandy for a time to come and do the search.

When I got to the house, Sandy came out, and took me to the back yard. She explained what happened to make the ring come off, and gave me a general area of where to search. It was a nice area with no trash metal in the grass, so I figured the when I received a signal, I would have found the ring. I went about 20 feet, pass after pass with silence, and then the detector sounded off. I pulled out the pin pointer, and found the ring quickly. I walked over and showed Sandy, and she said that her friend would be very happy to have it back. Another success story!

Karen called after just losing her wedding ring at the old « Muscle Beach » next to the Santa Monica pier. She was going to go on the rings, so she took her ring off so as not to lose it, but in the process, dropped it in the sand, and could not find it. I left immediately to get there for the search.

When I got there Karen was waiting for me, and took me to the area of the loss. She explained what had happened, and showed me where she was standing when she dropped it. We asked the people in the area if they would allow me to work in the area to find the ring, and they were very gracious in allowing the search. It took about 30 seconds for the recovery, because the ring was right where she thought it was, but because it was a small thin ring it moved around when they were searching for it. Needless to say she was very happy to have it back.
