Emilia contacted me after losing her diamond engagement ring in the sand at the beach. She had taken it off, and put it in her glasses case to secure it while she rented a stand up paddle board to enjoy the day on the water. Sometime either before she went paddling, or when she got back the ring had come out of the case, getting lost in the sand. I let her know I could come immediately to search for her, so I was on my way right after.

When I got to the beach she was still at the rental tent, and she told me the circumstances of the loss. She then outlined the area she believed the loss could have occurred, so I got ready for the search. We moved anything metal out of the search area so as not to interfere with the detector, and I began. I think I swung no more than 4 times when I got a real nice low tone in the head phones, I dug, and a very beautiful ring was in the scoop. I held it up, and a very happy Emilia came over to make the identification. So happy to make people happy!

It was just after 11:00 PM when Carlos contacted me. He had been at the beach earlier in the day. His wife had taken off her ring for safekeeping, but when they gathered their belongings, the ring was forgotten, and lost in the sand. It was too late when they realized what happened; it was gone. He said that he could meet me the next day for a search, but I encouraged a search that night knowing the tenacity of the beach cleaners in that area. He agreed, but told be he was not going to able to meet me there for the search. He sent me all of the necessary information I needed in order to conduct a good search for him, and I was on my way.

When I got to the area I knew there was not going to be the ability to park close at that time of the night, so I had to walk about 1 1/2 miles in the dark of night to the search area, getting there about 12:00 AM. I sent Carlos a text to let him know I arrived, and then began my search. I worked in the area he gave, working a tight grid to insure every inch of sand was covered, and didn’t find much. I kept to my grid, continuing pass after pass with nothing. About 20 minutes in total darkness (I don’t use lights unless absolutely necessary), I got the good signal, dug, and shook the sand out of the scoop. There in the bottom was a very small gold ring. It looked like what he had described, but it was pretty small, so I sent a picture, and Carlos affirmed it was the one. It was about 12:30 AM, and I had a long walk back to the car. I let him know that I would contact him the next day for a return. We got together the next day, and he told me about the sentimentality of the ring, and I understood how it meant so much to them. A little adventure lead to a bunch of happiness.

Torrie contacted me at 11:00 AM about a ring she lost the day before at the beach. Seeing it was a weekend I knew if there was to be any hope, the search had to happen now. The beach is cleaned daily by machine, so I had to go right away to do the search. She was not able to meet me there, but was able to give me enough information to be sure I was searching the correct area, and I was on my way.

I got to the area, and was relieved to see that no one had set their belongings in the area, so I would be free to search. I did notice though that the machines had covered part of the search area, so I was hoping they did not go into the area of the loss. I began furthest from the groomed area working my way in that direction. Pass after pass, finding tin foil, bottle caps, and other miscellaneous metal trash, but no ring. I worked all of the way to the part that had been machine cleaned with no luck, and then began to search the cleaned beach. 3 or 4 passes in I get a solid signal, put the scoop in, and there was a beautiful diamond ring in the bottom. They missed! I contacted Torrie to tell her it had been found, and we arranged to meet the next day for the return. When we met, she was very happy to have her ring back, and I was happy to have been a part of the return.

Sabrina contacted me about 11:00 PM about a ring she lost earlier in the day. She told me it was a very sentimental ring to her, and was wondering if I could help. I don’t think she was expecting my response, but I told her that I would do the search right away, to insure the best possible outcome for a recovery. She had to think about it, and then agreed to meet me at the beach to show me where to look.

I arrived about 40 minutes after our communication, and waited for Sabrina who came shortly after with her fiance. As we went out I showed her the sand where the daily beach cleaners scour the sand early in the morning removing everything but the smallest items. We walked over to the area of the loss, and she showed me where she had been, so I began my search. The area was not large, but she told me that she had searched it hard with tears rolling down her face. I found a penny, and had a few other signals that turned out to be too deep, and then as I moved out a bit, I got a good signal, dug and had her ring. She was surprised that it had been found so quickly, not even knowing it would ever be found. I was so glad to be able to help Sabrina get something back that means so much to her.

I received a call from Sofia who had lost her ring at the beach the night before. We discussed the loss, and after finding out where it occurred my hope was increased thinking we would be able to make a recovery, so I let her know that I would leave right away in order to conduct a search as soon as possible.

We met up at the beach and I walked out with Sofia and her friend Andrew. When we got to the area, Andrew showed me the general vicinity, and Sofia replayed what she was doing to cause the loss. She even told me that she had watched the ring come off of her finger, but was not able to find it. I gathered my equipment, and began my search. After about 8 feet I got my first strong signal, dug, and had Sofia’s Ring in the scoop. I held it up, and Andrew exclaimed, « It only took two minutes ». They were both amazed, because they had searched so diligently the night before. Sofia then told me that her grandmother had given her the ring, so it meant a lot to her. It sure is nice to be able to reunite people to their heirlooms.

Sony called because she had lost her ring at the beach. It was late in the evening, and she said she would not be able to meet me, but her friend would. She told me where the loss occurred, and I made my way there.

When I got to the beach Sony’s friend met me to show me where to look. The area was small.  It took about 3 minutes to find her ring, and hand it to her friend. It was a short and sweet search, that ended well. I am happy to be able to help those in need.

Roger lost his car key at the beach. After a futile attempt to find it, he found me on theringfinders.com web site, and asked if I could help. Well it was just that morning the key was lost, so I told him I would come right away, in order to increase the possibility of a recovery.

When I got to the beach Roger told me he had buried the key, so he could go in the water, and not have to worry someone might take it. The problem occurred when after being in the water, he came out grabbed his towel, and headed for his car. When he got there, it was then he realized that the key was still in the sand. I set up my equipment, and began my search. I made sure to cover all of the area Roger had pointed out to me, plus going further to be sure I did not miss it. After about 15 passes in my grid, having found numerous pieces of trash metal, I found the key, and held it up for Roger. He was happy to have it back so he could head off for work. So I really made his day.

I received a contact from Elizabeth who was calling for her friend Caroline who had lost a ring. They let me know that the loss happened the same day, which made the possibility of a recovery very good, so I let them know I would come as soon as I could.

When I got there I had to wait a bit for them, and when they arrived we walked immediately down to the spot where they believed the loss occurred. Caroline explained to me that the ring she lost was a silver class ring that meant a lot to her. They explained that they had been using sifters to find the ring, but to no avail. I began my search in the area they had been searching, and about halfway through the area I received a good signal, dug, and had a ring in the scoop. I waved coil over the hole again, and there was another signal. I dug, and had two rings in the scoop. I was kind of dumbfounded. I waved the coil over the hole again, and got another signal, dug and another ring. I went over the hole again, and another ring. I walked over to Caroline with 5 rings in my hand, and asked, « Didn’t you just lose one ring and opened my hand. She and her friend Elizabeth were amazed, and exclaimed, « I can’t believe it, you found all of them. » Caroline had lost all 5 rings, and was not too sure any would be found, but was hoping for the recovery of her class ring. Well I was happy to be able to find them all for her, and to make her day.

Jacqueline contacted me after losing her diamond ring at the beach. I asked if she was still near the spot of the loss, and she told me she stayed there. I told her I would leave right away to go and conduct a search for her, knowing that the sooner the search after a loss, the better the chance of a successful recovery.

When I got to the beach, it did not take long to find Jacqueline, and she took me to the area she believed the ring was lost in. I could see where she had been searching, so I had a good spot to begin my search. I started my search, and within a couple of minutes I was able to hand her back her ring. As you can see by those smiles, there was much joy in the sand that evening.

Joseph called me for help in finding his lost ring. He had been playing volley ball with friends, when he hit the ball, and his ring flew off. After an unfruitful search in the sand at the court, he called. I was available, and knowing that he was still at the spot encouraged me to go immediately to try and have a successful recovery.

When I got to the beach Joseph saw me walking in his direction, and waved me over. We talked a bit about what had happened, where he was standing when he hit the ball, and where he believed the ring went into the sand. I got my equipment ready, and let him know that it could possibly be in another part of the court, but my search would find it. I began in the direction he showed me, and within 30 seconds I was able to give him back his ring. He was very happy, and I was happy for him. A great day!
