*** Celphone  with drivers license and credit cards lost in sand at Orange County, CA. beach. Ella called me looking for help to find her friend, Julia’s IPhone. They are vacationing here in SoCal and will be returning to Belview, WA. in a couple days.

Julia was devastated as not only her celphone was missing, she had her credit cards and identification attached to the phone case. I met the two ladies on the beach after the sunset. I have no problem doing night searches.

They had the “Find My Pone App “ on Ella’s phone. It showed the phone still had batteries but we could not hear a alarm sound or see the light on the screen. I had to be under the sand.

The indicator on the tracking was not very accurate and the grid search was going on to almost an hour. The two young ladies were getting cold and starting to believe the metal detector wasn’t going to work. They even asked me to stop. I told them to go back to their apartment and I would continue until I was sure I had covered the area properly.

They left and before they got off the beach, BOOM ! .. I found the phone and it’s contents. Then I quickly made a call to them. They had barely walked off the beach before getting my call. They came back to retrieve the phone with big smiles and saying they had given up hope.

I knew it was there, I just didn’t get my metal detector coil over target..  Knowing my equipment is important. If the item is there I can find it. If it’s not there nobody is going to find it. If you don’t try you will never find it..

If you need help call now, available to take a call 24/7 .. I WILL TRY ANYWHERE.. Stan .. 949-500-2136

*** Odili called me at 9:30pm .. He had lost his gold ring at the beach in the dry sand. Back at his hotel room he went online trying to find a place to by a metal detector when he found my contact information on TheRingFinders website.

He believed he could find the ring himself the next morning. I asked him if he had any experience using a metal detector, he answered, no. Many rental detectors are entry level cheap machines and most don’t work well in sandy mineralized beaches.

I told him I could meet him at the Montage Resort Beach before 10:15pm and we should be able to locate the ring in a short amount of time. He agreed to met me at his hotel parking lot. We walked about 5 or 6 blocks to the small cove where he and his lady had been sitting. I found the ring after just a few swings of my detector coil.

Odili and his lady friend were very happy to have the ring back. They can enjoy the remaining days of their vacation. Also they would sleep well and not have to bother the next day trying to find a metal detector and learn how much they don’t know about using a metal detector on the beach. Even these easy searches can be rewarding because it’s about many other things including finding the ring.

Lost Wedding Ring in Car Found by a Ringfinder in Victorville, CA.

***  Justin had been in his car when his white gold wedding ring had bothering him. He slipped it off setting the ring on the center console near the cupholder. This car had a motorized cover that slides over the cupholder when not used. When he went to put his ring back on his finger the ring was not there. After looking closely at the place he set the ring, he could see a space where the ring may have slid under the console into the interior of the dashboard.

First he tried opening the automatic cover and he ended up breaking the cover. Justin took it to the dealership to get it repaired. He also asked them to look for his ring. ( not successful). He had the present of mind to get a endoscope camera to investigate through the small gap. Where he thought he could see the ring but he had no way to retrieve it. Then as a last resort he went online locating Jeff Morgan member of TheRingFinders in Seattle, WA. who had posted a ring recovery in a car.

After Jeff gave Justin my contact information, we set up a day for me to meet him at his home in Victorville, CA. .. I spent a half hour tediously working my way with my endoscope camera in the console area through a 1/4 inch hole. I could not see a ring anywhere. When Justin came out to check on my progress, I told him the ring wasn’t visible. Then  I suggested that we try the carpet area next to the console. We pulled the carpet out from underneath the console. BOOM! There was his ring.. Amazing that it had worked its way through the console down between the carpet and metal floor.

I had read other members blogs about finding ring that find there way under carpets in cars. This was just a shot in the dark before giving up on the search. We always find it at the last place we look. You can see the photo of Justin with a happy relieved look,on his face.

Lost wedding ring in Fairview Lake, Orlando, Florida….Found with a metal detector!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)
Contact:

Peyton and his wife were enjoying a beautiful sunny day on Fairview Lake and as he jumped off of his boat and into the shallow water he felt his gold wedding ring slip off of his finger. After 27 years of marriage and having already lost one of his wedding rings years ago he was stunned that here it was happening again. After feeling around in the sand and mud he gave up and decided to come back and look for it again with a mask and hookah dive system and a small hand held waterproof metal detector. He also was able to mark the area where he was anchored on his boats GPS system making it much easier to pinpoint the exact area, which is so, so important!

Peyton returned the next day and searched for a couple of hours but was unsuccessful in finding his lost gold ring. Later that evening as he was searching on line to buy a full size waterproof metal detector he came across theringfinders.com web site and found my name. We made arrangements to meet later on that day and I figured if he marked the area it would make the ring much easier to locate. Peyton was waiting in his boat when I arrived and as soon as I loaded all my gear we were off to the other side of the lake. There was a fairly stiff breeze and after getting the anchors set I jumped into the water and with Peyton guiding me I placed four PVC poles around the area where he figured he lost his ring. Usually a large gold ring will give me certain numbers on my waterproof Garrett AT Max metal detector so I concentrated on any signal that read even close to those numbers. I dug a number of nickels, pull tabs and other assorted targets and as I was coming close to finishing up the 2500 square foot area I asked Peyton to think about what direction to expand my search area….and he felt confident it was in the general area that I was finishing up. And sure enough as I was on my last grid line I got a clean, solid, mid-tone signal and as I dumped out my scoop onto my floating sifter…there shining bright and beautiful in the evening sun was Peyton’s lost gold wedding ring! How I thank God for allowing me to find and return Peyton’s lost ring and to be a part of seeing such joy and relief on his face. And thank you Peyton for calling me and for giving me that opportunity!

Maybe you have lost something precious and valuable and need my help?!! Call or text me ASAP!

***  A man whose name is MT called for help finding his gold with a diamond ring lost in the sand. He was with friends on the beach at Belmont Shores, Long Beach, CA. They were playing volleyball, so he gave his ring for one of the ladies that wasn’t playing to hold.

This happens often, she put the ring on he finger for safekeeping. Later she noticed the ring missing and it had to be in the sand. I asked MT if they would be able to stay at the location for a half hour till I could get to that beach.

Traffic was cooperating and I met the group on the beach before they had to leave the beach. Shorty after they showed me the 40’x40’ area of the loss, I was able to locate the ring with my metal detector. After several hours of searching before I arrived, MT and everyone were happy, especially the lady that had lost the ring.

As usual most the people in the group did not know that TheRingFinders directory exists. Now we have more than a dozen people that can spread the word of metal detectorists that are willing to help people find their sentimental lost keepsakes.

*** Asha called me from her home in Huntington Beach, CA. asking for help to find her gold diamond wedding ring. She had been to the neighborhood park with her daughter. They spent most their time at the children’s tot-lot, then walked a couple blocks to her home, where she noticed her wedding ring was no longer on her finger.

I was able to meet her at the park where we started to grid search the sand in the play area. She had an idea of where the ring may have slipped off her finger, but she didn’t really feel the ring leave her finger. It could be anywhere between her home and the sandy play area. After about a half hour, I was running out of area in the sandy lot, the best place for the ring to hide. I could see Asha and her friend losing hope that I could find the ring. Then the magic happened, I got a great tone in the head set of my detector. One scoop with my sifter and there in the bottom was Asha’s diamond ring..

Can’t describe the happiness I saw. It was getting a little tense after more than 30 minutes digging pull tabs and bottle caps. It was a pleasure to meet Asha and help her to recover her ring.

…Dana called me asking for help to find her husband’s wedding ring. They had been at Belmont Shores in Long Beach, CA.  Her husband, Sean made a jester with his hand and his tungsten wedding ring flew off his finger into the sand.

They searched for a couple hours unable to find the ring. Later evening Dana texted me asking if this was anything that I could help her with? I reached out to her the next morning agreeing to meet them at the beach at 10:00 am.

Both Dana and Sean were present to guide me the general location. This was another fairly quick recovery because they got a hold of me soon after the loss and they were able to get me in the general location. Doing a grid search of an area can be tedious. If there is not many trash metal objects, I usually can do a basketball size area in a little more than an hour.

We were fortunate that this search was short. Dana and Sean were very happy and surprised to get the ring recovered as they had already thought it was lost forever.

*** Stephanie and her family spent Saturday at Crystal Cove State Beach, Newport Beach, CA. While they were there Stephanie’s Platinum Diamond ring came off her finger while throwing g ball. The ring disappeared immediately in the soft sand.

The next morning her husband returned the the location with a metal detector. His attempts to find the ring failed. Monday morning Stephanie located me using a online search. She told me what happened and what beach. Even though it had been several days. She gave me very good directions and had left a marker straight in-line with where the loss happened. I felt we had a good chance to find the ring without either of them having to leave work to guide me.

I drove about 5 miles to the beach parked and walked about a block where I saw the marker. I also checked my phone messages to see photos that she had sent. Location confirmed, I began a grid search with my metal detector. A few minutes later I got a good signal and the ring was in my sand scoop.

I sent her a photo of the ring and she replied with a phone call soon after. We met at a location convenient for both of us where I was able return her ring. You can see from the photo that Stephanie was a happy lady.

Platinum Diamond Wedding Ring Lost at Southern California Beach Found with Metal Detector ..Returned to Owner

*** Jackie and her husband took a walk on a Southern California beach. It was just after a storm and there was a 6 foot embankment that had to be climbed to get off the beach. As Jackie was struggling to get to the top of the slope her wedding ring slipped off her finger. She was fortunate to feel the ring leave her finger.

They tried to locate it by dragging their hands trough the sand. A passerby told them about TheRingFinders metal detecting directory. They called me, giving me their location and I was able to meet them on the beach within a half hour.

I met them on the beach, set up my metal detector and began a grid search. Within a few minutes the ring was found and returned to Jackie. Another successful search and recovery because they contacted me in a timely manner and they were able to stay at the location to put me in the general location.

Lost Platinum Ring in Snow at Big Bear, CA. .. Found and Returned

William and his friends spent the day in the snow near Big Bear, CA. at a roadside recreation area they stopped to play on the hillside snow. William realized his platinum ring missing before they left the area.

The loss happened on Saturday and he called me asking for help the next day. After discussing the circumstances of the loss and exchanging a few photos with a dropped pin where it happen, I agreed to drive the 85 miles to do a search. I didn’t feel it was necessary for William to take the day off of work to meet me at the location.

Monday was the better day to make the drive and there would be less people at the site. The weather was perfect with 8”to 10” of snow still on the ground. The first few minutes of the search revealed that there was a lot of metal trash. ( bottle caps and pull tabs).

The last snow search I did was difficult to check metal signals because the snow had frozen. These conditions were better which gave me an opportunity to use my beach scoop to check targets. There were families playing in the snow with sleds, inter tubing, etc. that I had to work around.

The ring was found after almost two hours of grid searching with my metal detector. I was also able to remove more that 40 metal bottles caps and pull tabs. My search was much easier using the long handle beach scoop.  I didn’t have to bend down to check all the trash signals.

William was able to meet me after work later that evening in Newport Beach to pick up his
