Lost Gold Wedding Ring – FOUND after being lost for 3 YEARS! Campbell, Ohio

  • from Indiana (Pennsylvania, United States)

Lost your ring, other valuable jewelry, cellphone, keys, or other metal object…call or text Brian Carpenter at (814)244-2300 as soon as possible. I am a ring recovery specialist serving Pittsburgh, Indiana (PA), and most of Western PA. I received a text from David about his wedding ring that he had lost three years ago. David had been digging some rocks out of a wooded area behind his house and thought he had lost it there. He had rented a metal detector and said that he looks every winter/spring before things start growing, but to no avail. The trip would be about two hours one way and I was hoping that the ring finder who lived closer would be interested but told David that if the other person didn’t come out I would.

So I arrived at David’s and he showed me the search area. Pretty standard, front yard, back yard, garden, and just to throw in a degree of difficulty a wooded area that was pretty swampy. David thought for sure it was in the wooded area where he was digging the rocks. I checked the front yard…nothing…wooded area…nothing…garden….nothing…backyard….nothing. So I has checking a small strip next to the house. There was a lot of feedback and interference in just this little patch…I don’t know why, but I dropped my sensitivity to almost zero to get rid of the noise. Then I started walking backward and got a solid hit. From about an inch or two under the ground I found his wedding ring.

I called David and he came out and I gave him his ring back. He had the biggest smile and was very happy, not actually believing I found it. Then David told me that about 5 minutes before I called him he had just got done saying some prayers to St. Anthony. I usually do the same before I start any search knowing I can always use all the help I can get, so it might be safe to say I had a little divine intervention! I am glad David got his ring back and as always it is great to meet nice people and return what was lost.

Lost a ring?

Don’t wait to call!

Matt and Alicia enjoyed a day on the beach with their sons in Sea Isle City, NJ on Wednesday. They arrived around 3 PM and set their chairs up near the water’s edge. Before applying sunscreen to herself and her sons, Alicia took her 4 rings off and layed them on her chair. As the tide came in, the chairs had to be moved back a few times. They packed up around 7 PM and returned to their house. Approximately an hour later, Alicia realized her wedding rings were missing. Matt gave me a call and we planned to meet at low tide. I gridded the wet sand and did not get any signals, so I expanded the search up to the dry sand. After gridding the dry sand for some time, I finally got a signal and dug up one of the 3 bands. The next signal was another band, followed by the engagement ring that is extremely sentimental because the diamond is a family heirloom. Thankfully, the last band was nearby and recovered!

Gardening takes a toll

Working with your hands in the dirt can be dangerous to rings! This man lost his ring while putting a garden in his back yard. The dirt was easy to dig in since he had tilled it up and it was not long before we found his ring where the strawberry plants went!

Lost something?

Don’t wait to call!

Sheila contacted me today about her fiancé’s chain and cross that were accidentally left on the beach in Ventnor, NJ.  The surf was rough yesterday, so he decided to take it off before going into the ocean.  Forgetting that it was in the side pocket of the beach chair, the jewelry dropped into the sand when packing up. They didn’t realize it was missing until after they got home and were extremely upset because it is very sentimental.  I met with the couple on the beach and they gave me the approximate location where it could have been lost.  Something in the distance caught my eye as I was walking around detecting.  It glistened for a second, so I decided to walk toward it.  It turned out to be the edge of the cross peeking out of the sand! It’s a great feeling when you find what you’re looking for, but it’s extra special when you recover something so sentimental.

Lost Gold and Ruby ring found in John’s Creek, Ga. 3-3-23

  • from Cumming (Georgia, United States)

A little recovery today looking for a lost ring while gardening. I searched all over the area she was in, and my wife was flipping over leaves with a stick in the corner of her patio just in case it bounced backwards in that area when it flew off and of course it was there hiding under a leaf. 🙂

While I was on a search in Maple Ridge, looking for a young man’s wedding band a lady and her kids were walking by and asked me if that was a metal detector, I said yes and that I was here helping a young man who lost his ring in the snow. She asked if I do house calls, I said absolutely, she told me her husband lost his gold wedding band the other day in the backyard making a snowman for the kids. We exchange numbers and I told her I would call her as soon as I was done finding the ring I was looking for. The ring was found and I made contact and was off to meet her husband Matt and search for his ring.

When I got there, Matt was waiting outside to show me where he was making the snowman and where he believed his ring would be, it didn’t take very long and I found his beautiful gold ring while he was on the phone with his mechanic. This was my opportunity to fake him out and surprise him with his gold wedding band. I absolutely have so much fun and love my job more than anything I’ve ever done, just to see his smile and how much it meant to him to get it back. I wish I could’ve been doing this for 50 years.

How To Find a Ring Lost In Snow

Got a voicemail from a guy who had recently lost his wedding ring. He had triple bad luck. He not only lost a beautiful custom made 18k ring, but he and his wife had only been married for one week, and he lost it the day they were leaving for a little honeymoon trip! Oh my, what a crazy thing!

He searched in the snow and was unable to find it. So we met tonight in the blowing snow at the area he had fallen in the snow. I got my detector out, fine tuned it and took a swing across the snow. Literally on that first swing, only one second into the search, I got a strong signal with the right number for gold. I scooped some snow out and pushed the pinpointer in and found it, about 10” into the snow. We were stunned!! It was a new recovery record for me!! You just never know, many of my recoveries have taken 10-20 hours.

He was so happy! I hope hey have much better luck in the future and a very long life together.

Ring lost 18 months ago found in New Orleans, Louisiana

  • from New Orleans (Louisiana, United States)

I received a text message from Catherine who resides across Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans, LA. She stated that she just recently heard about the RingFinders and was wondered whether we would be able to help her locate her White Gold Amethyst ring she lost in her backyard in August 2021 (18 months ago). She also said that she has since sold the home and we would need permission from the new owners. She received the ring on her 16th birthday from her mother, so the ring was very important and she had possession of it for a long time. She believed her partner may have pressure washed it off of the stairs after she set it down to do some yard work. After looking for around 30 minutes, I accumulated probably over 200 nails and screws. Luckily, I had my magnet to eliminate these quickly so I can focus my Garrett pinpointer on the higher quality targets. I dug out the mulch and rocks in between two posts on the side of the porch. After picking out all the nails with my magnet that came from between the posts, I noticed my pinpointer was still picking up a target. As I moved the dirt to see what the target was, out pops the ring! Finally, after 18 months, Catherine was able to be reunited with her ring.
