Lost Wedding Ring Found in A Maine Lake With A Metal Detector

  • from Old Orchard Beach (Maine, United States)

On Saturday July 8th, I received a call from Amy. Her husband, Johnny, had lost his wedding ring, in the water, at their lake house, in Raymond, Maine, the previous day. After searching the shallow water with sifters and rakes on Friday and Saturday morning without finding the ring, they decided to do an online search for help. They found me on The Ring Finders site and Amy made the call. They were located on Panther Pond, in Raymond, Maine. I knew the area fairly well as they were very close to Sebago Lake, which I have previously been to. I immediately got my equipment together and loaded in my vehicle and made the 45-50 minutes drive to their lake house.
Johnny immediately met my wife and I as we drove up to the house. Jonny explained that he just got married 5 months ago and was very upset with losing the ring in the water. He had been roasting marshmallows over a fire and had gone into the lake to wash his hands. After washing his hands, he shook his hands to dry them off and the ring flew off into the lake. Johnny showed me the area he was in when the ring flew off. I started my slow sweeps along the sand bottom of the lake, with the Minelab CTX-3030, and in less than two minutes I received a nice low tone signal, reading 12-20 on the VDI screen. I got the pinpointer out and located the target. A couple of scoops of sand with my hand and I saw a bright and shiny gold wedding ring. I picked the ring up and showed Johnny, Amy and extended family and friends that were watching and received a big round of applause that made me feel just great. To see the relief and smiles on Johnny and Amy’s faces makes me feel so proud and lucky to be able to help people in their time of need. What a great hobby. Here is wishing Amy and Johnny many many happy years of marriage.

Lost Gold Ear Ring found, Tulsa Oklahoma

Contact:

Recieved a message from Sylvia few weeks ago. She said she lost her very expensive ear ring in her flower bed or at her son’s house or at her neighbors house. I said ok if it’s here I will find it.  I was using my pin pointer at first around the bushes.  Nothing so I was then using my machine to try and find the earring. Sylvia was talking to me while I was looking. I couldn’t hear everything she was saying so I stepped out of the flower bed.. Right before I stepped out in the grass I spotted her earring smashed down in the mud – I said does your earring look like this and pointed to the ground and she said no way. I said yup there it is.. The back of the earring was faulty and it had come undone..

Beausoleil Island, Port Severn, Ontario~Lost late Grandmother’s 18k white gold engagement ring in waters of Georgian Bay

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

2017-09-04 Beausoleil Island, Honey Harbour, Port Severn, Ontario

Received a phone call from Zac that his girlfriend Lauren was washing her hair in the water when her dog jumped in and her late Grandmother’s recently gifted to her went flying off her finger. Lauren was devastated!!!

So I made arrangement to come flying up Hwy 400 that day and meet Zac at the boat launch as we were headed to an Island cottage.

Lauren explained the area and I was limited to half of a scuba tank. I started grinding and pulled up some crazy items….large nails, old brass table light switch, some coins and lots of metal. Zac had said to try further over. After an hour he jumped it and used the small Scuba Tector I had brought along while I continued with the Minelab Excallibur 2. I went back to the original location and within 20 minute….B-O-O-M….FOUND Lauren’s late Grand Mother’s engagement ring. WHAT A BEAUTY. 18k WHITE GOLD ….. PRICELESS XO

I secretly hinted to my Daughter to start filming….and then SURPRISED THEM. Lauren shrieked in sheer relief. She was very grateful.

Here’s the video! WARNING…. ONE LOUD SWEAR WORD….LOL

One relieved client

Texas A&M Class Ring Lost in Cattle Tank (found) by John Volek

I was contacted by Shawn regarding his Lost 2017 Texas A&M class ring in a Cattle Tank in Yoakum, Texas

Shawn said he and several friends were beating the Texas heat by cooling off in the tank, apparently a common practice in this part of the country. Shawn said, while he was in the water, a friend threw him a cold beverage. Shawn said, when he reached for the can his ring flew off his finger and landed in what he believed to be waist deep water.

check out the video to see a cattle tank ring recovery!
