Lost Pendant Found in Lincoln RI

  • from Charlestown (Rhode Island, United States)
Contact:

On November 15, 2023, I received a call from Allison, who lost a beautiful onyx pendant while visiting Chase Farm in Lincoln.  She decided to search the internet for help and found my information.  She asked for my help to find her lost pendant.  The next day, I met her at the farm where she had lost the pendant.  It was a large area.  Allison told me that her chain broke and showed me two different areas of the farm where the pendant could be. I search the first area and didn’t find the pendant.  After searching the second area with no success, I started thinking that someone may have found it already.  That’s when I decided to expand the search beyond these two areas, and I found the pendant.  Frequently, lost items are not in the area where you think they are lost, and you have to search outside the box.  It’s a good thing I did.  As you can see, Allison was delighted to have the pendant back.

I received a call from Dick, who told me he had lost his gold wedding band while doing some work in his yard.  The ring was lost while he was putting up a temporary fence around an area of the lawn that had just been seeded in order to keep their sweet dog out of the area.  After the fence was installed, Dick realized that he had lost his wedding ring in the process.  He decided to search the internet for help, and that’s when he found me.  When I arrived at Dick’s house, he showed me the area where he had installed the fence.  I searched the area for about an hour and found Dick’s ring.  He couldn’t believe that it had been recovered.  Dick, and his wife of over 40 years, were very happy that the ring was back on his hand where it belonged.

Daughters Tattoos Symbolizes Ring Recovery and Return Number 220

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

As Ring Finders, we’ve all received those frantic calls asking for help to locate a lost “very” sentimental item (ring, necklace, bracelet, etc.). We’ve also experienced the happy returns with handshakes, big bear hugs, and laughs. And more times than not, we’ve watched those big tears running down cheeks, including our own sometimes. We also have those returns, for one reason or another that we’ll never forget.

This return happened in August 2023 when I found and returned my 220th item, which happened to be a lady’s wedding band. It started with a mother and her two daughters having a girl’s vacation at the beach. The mother was in the ocean and was knocked over by a wave. Knowing what that ring meant to their mother, the daughters contacted me. I was fortunate enough to find it and get it back on the finger it belonged on in pretty quick fashion. And oh yes, there was all the excitement, scream, hugs and tears with the return. It was a moment to remember!

Yesterday, just shy of 3 months I got a text saying, “Jim, I’m super sorry to bother you. But a couple months ago you found my mom’s wedding ring in the sand. My sister and I were so happy. I think you told my sister that we were number 220 of finds for you. We are going to get a tattoo and I just want to verify that our number is in fact 220. Is that something you are able to do for me?” I verified it for her, and she thanked me. I also asked her for a picture of her tattoo, and she agreed. Today I got the picture. I asked her what it meant to her, her sister and their mother to get the ring back. Here’s her response – “Let’s see what finding that ring meant to my family…. everything. Memories of a lifetime. From my parents dating and living the “easy” life to a marriage of 42 years! From the fights to the hugs, from the late nights out to the late nights up with kids. It’s a symbol of strength and promise. A promise that your life will not go unseen because I’ll be by your side through it all. So, to some it may be a ring, but it is so much more of family life wrapped in that ring.”

This is one of my returns I will never forget!

Professional Metal detector equipment tool helps find a lost Gold ring in Lake San Marcos Ca,

The Ring Finders Metal detecting service helped find a Lost Gold wedding band in lake San Marcos Ca, Call Curtis Cox 760 889 2751

October 31, 2023 was not a typical Halloween morning after receiving a call to help find a lost gold ring. I had a busy day planned but thankfully this was lost behind a private home on a private residential lake.  Public areas are more urgent so we scheduled a time to meet later that afternoon.

Upon arriving promptly with my Ring Finders costume & submersible Metal detector I met Tracy & her husband at their home to go over the story of how, where, when it may of been lost?? Tracy’s father-in-law was visiting on vacation when he slipped down the short slope into the shallow lake behind her home. One of the neighbors witnessed it then pulled him up out of the water. Later on the he noticed his Gold wedding band was missing!

They explained,,He had already flew back home but you can only imagine the sadness & sorrow from losing something so important not knowing if you”ll ever wear it again.  So I scanned over the short weeded hillside above the water and ruled it out as it not being there. The 2nd place or last,,Would be in the lake approximately 2’ deep. So I grabbed my sand scoop to retrieve any potential targets while they set up a ladder from me to safely get down.

First thing off the bat I received a strong signal on my metal detector with an I.D reading of #18. Target ID numbers is a numerical representation of an object’s conductivity when exposed to the electromagnetic field generated by a metal detector. From my experience,,This strong 18 signal that was beeping told me its a good chance being his gold ring.

I carefully reached down into the compact bottom under the murky lake with my hand,,Then miraculously pulled out the precious lost gold ring. They were so thrilled yet relieved I could help find what may of been lost forever.

Heirloom Wedding Ring Found – Fond du Lac, WI

  • from Menomonee Falls (Wisconsin, United States)

Fond du Lac, WI., resident, Jared Kitzrow bent over to brush the grass from his jeans after tending to his garden. To his horror he noticed his wedding ring was missing. He was only married 4 weeks. But it wasn’t just any ring. When he became engaged, Jared’s grandmother had gifted him the wedding ring belonging to his late grandfather. Now the ring was gone!

Four long months passed. Jared searched and searched. He even rented a metal detector. But the ring was nowhere to be found. His rented detector screeched in response to metallic objects in the ground, but none proved to be his precious wedding ring. Jared felt sickened in his stomach at the thought of his grandmother finding out he lost it. Indeed, a family gathering some weeks later, forced Jared to keep his hand out of sight in his pocket, this in case his grandmother saw it was missing and might ask questions.

As the weeks passed, Jared kept searching and hoping the ring would come to light. He concluded the ring must have slipped of his finger while working in a large strawberry patch. At least that seemed to be the most likely possibility. But repeated visits to the garden failed to turn up the heirloom and only served to deepen Jared’s disappointment. That’s when he discovered The Ring Finder’s directory of metal detecting specialists and reached out to me with a brief text message.

I made the 1-hour drive to Fond du Lac the following morning on what was an unusually warm November day in Wisconsin. Jared led me to the back of the house and described his activities in the garden on the day the ring went missing. He leaned over and reenacted brushing imaginary grass off his pants not far from a mature pine tree. The pain in his face was obvious. I made mental notes of the events on Jared’s timeline. The act of brushing grass off his jeans using his ring hand was a plausible and significant event in my mind—a very likely cause. It was top of my list of possible locations.

I carefully searched the garden area but the ring was not there. Next, I turned my attention to Jared’s route back to the house and to the spot where he had brushed grass from his trousers. I observed the extra-long grass in the vicinity. Jared had deliberately avoided mowing it so as not to risk damaging the ring in case it was there. Expanding the search area in an ever-widening grid pattern, I suddenly observed conductivity numbers on my XP Deus 2 controller that were in the range of 14 Karat gold. Sure enough, the ring appeared where it had landed under the pine tree four months before! It was covered with a good inch of needles and vegetation. I concealed it again and arranged for Jared to join me. Giving him the detector, I let Jared locate it and retrieve his precious ring from the ground. The smile on Jared’s face reflects what I have so often said, “It’s more than a ring!”

Jared hadn’t told his wife about my coming. She was at work during the search. He decided to wear the ring and see how long it would take her to notice it. Later that evening, Jared sent me a text message that read, “Well she finally noticed, took her a couple hours! She is very happy!”

If you or someone you know has lost a ring, even long ago, don’t let its story end! Chances are it might still be found. Call me today! “It’s more than a ring!”

Wedding Ring Lost 103 Days and Found! – Milwaukee, WI

  • from Menomonee Falls (Wisconsin, United States)

A hot July day found Milwaukee resident, John Marszalkowski, enjoying the shade of a canopy in his yard. But when a rainstorm came up, its accompanying winds threatened to damage the structure. John wrestled the thrashing canopy in the deluge to keep it from lifting skyward. In the process, he felt his tungsten wedding ring fly off his hand. He made a mental note where he was located in the yard, thinking He would look for it later when the present crisis abated. But when he returned, the ring was nowhere to be found. He and his wife searched on their hands and knees, systematically parting blades of grass, all to no avail.

As the days turned to weeks, John decided to cut his grass shorter in hopes it might reveal the ring’s hiding place. That too, proved futile. Bumping up his search efforts a notch higher, John procured an inexpensive metal detector, but it too was fruitless. Indeed, the detector’s audio response could only be described as a constant unintelligible din. It was as though the air itself was full of metal.

The months passed. John kept thinking of his ring, one of a matched pair he and his wife wore. While tungsten is generally believed to be one of the hardest metals known on our planet, the polished finish had somehow turned to a dull gray color. A jeweler suggested John’s skin might have a chemical incompatibility. Indeed, some cleaning solutions and chemicals have been known to degrade tungsten under certain conditions. Even though John’s ring didn’t look as attractive as it was when new, its sentimental value kept the memory of it very much alive in his mind. Then John’s wife discovered The Ring Finder’s directory of metal-detecting specialists. I received a text message and arranged to meet John the same afternoon.

In my forty-plus years detecting, the electromagnetic interference (EMI) at John’s house was some of the nastiest I’ve experienced. Thankfully, my XP Deus 2 equipment with its state-of-the-art programming and controls, allowed me to cut its sensitivity back and make the noise somewhat tolerable. In addition, the ground was full of roofing nails and metallic debris of every description, creating a metal-detectorist’s worst nightmare. Little wonder John’s efforts were thwarted.

Barely 10 minutes into the search and a few yards farther than where John believed the ring fell from his hand, a conductivity signal consistent with tungsten flashed momentarily on my controller’s screen. However, other signals and all the EMI threatened to overpower it. But a quick investigation with a pinpointing device, revealed the ring’s hiding place deep in the grass. I invited John to ‘discover’ his ring using the pin pointer. He knelt down beside me and quickly located and plucked the love token from the ground, thus ending 103 days of suspense. John’s emotional response and smile only reinforced the truth; what I say so often, “It is more than a ring!”

If you or a loved one has lost a ring, even months or years ago, chances are it can still be found. Don’t let its story end. Call me today!

Wedding Ring Lost In The Leaves, Found With A Metal Detector, In Standish, Maine

  • from Old Orchard Beach (Maine, United States)

On Saturday evening, November 11, I received a Facebook PM, from Steve. The message said

“I am David * ******** **** brother and I live in Standish. I lost my wedding ring in my driveway and unable to find it. can you help and how much would you charge”?

I immediately message Steve back and told him I had worked with his brother and would be willing to to help him but that I was unable to search, because of my knee replacement surgery, just 5 days earlier. I asked Steve if he or someone else could search, using my detector. I told him that I would get the Minelab CTX-3030 all charged up, programmed for what we were searching for and all someone would need to do is slowly swing the coil over the ground. I also asked Steve, where the ring was lost, and how?Steve messaged me right back and said he could do the actual search. He also said that he was moving some wood, from the side of his home, to just outback of his house and when he finished, he noticed his ring was missing. He said it would be along the driveway, to the pile of wood outback. Not very much of an area and the ring would definitely be in amongst all the fallen leaves, in or along the driveway.
We then made plans to meet at his home, in the morning, around 8:00am. My wife would drive me and I would just make sure Steve has a properly working metal detector and my guidance. My wife and I arrived at approximately 8:20am as the 40 minute drive was longer than I expected. Steve was there to greet us and the three of us exchange pleasantries and small talk for a few minutes. I then asked Steve to show me where the ring was lost and the route he was using between the wood piles. When Steve showed me the area, I knew it should be a fairly quick search, as the area was not very large. I then turned my detector on, got it ground balanced and gave Steve a quick tutorial. I also put my wedding ring amongst the leaves and Steve was able to hear the tone and see the screen.
As Steve stated the search, he almost immediately received a signal, which sounded good but the VDI screen was saying it was 5 inches deep. We did ou due diligence and checked the leaves and the top of the soil, with my pinpointer. It was not the ring and we did not dig the target to find out what it was. Steve stated swinging again and within 2 minutes had a very good target. My wife put the pinpointer into the leaves, found the target and pulled out Steve’s Gold Wedding Ring. The entire search lasted just 3-5 minutes. Steve was extremely happy and grateful to have his ring back. I just love finding people’s lost items and seeing the looks of happiness across their faces.

Friday the 13th Horror turns to Saturday the 14th Happiness – Ring found with metal detector – Pittsburgh, PA

  • from Indiana (Pennsylvania, United States)

Lost your ring, other valuable jewelry, cellphone, keys, or other metal object…call or text Brian Carpenter at (814)244-2300 as soon as possible. I am a ring recovery and metal detecting specialist serving Pittsburgh, Indiana (PA), and most of Western PA. Why rent a metal detector when you can get a trained operator with top of the line equipment at the same time…I am also pleased to announce I am beginning to search for lost rings in vehicles!!

This one starts out with the proverbial « needle in the haystack »…. I received a text from a client who was at a pumpkin patch and her husband had just lost his wedding band playing in a hay area. While looking for the ring a nearby patron said hey – my mom lost her ring a while back and a guy came out and found it…let me get you his number (thank you for the referal – small world!!). So unfortunately I was unable to head out that night, luckily the farm was closing soon and the clients had secured permission for me to come out first thing in the morning.

I went out the next morning and met Jennifer and Brian who showed me where the ring was lost. There was a large shed with hay bales stacked up and hay all over the floor. I began to search right way…I was told I could search but only until they opened. It was a very rainy day and I was informed I could take my time because of the weather. Fortunately it was not long when I hit that sweet sound of a gold wedding band.

Brian and Jennifer were surprised as to where it was located when I found it. It was on the opposite side from where they had been looking. I was happy to return his wedding band and as always it is great to meet kind and generous people. Also – a big shout out to Hozak Farms for allowing me to come out and search for the ring – Thank you!

Who says there is never a ring finder around when you need one??? LOL. I was driving home and I live close to a golf course so as I was passing by I saw a friend’s car and pulled in to say hello. It looked like he and a few other people were looking for something…low and behold – a lost ring. He started laughing and said your ears must have been burning. I got out chatted for a few but I did not have my equipment and the person who lost the ring was not there. I told my buddy – I will be back to find it in the morning.

So the next morning I went back and met with Dean. He was taking his jacket off and his ring got caught in the sleeve and flew off. He was in a parking spot right next to the driving range and the ring was somewhere in the grass. I immediately got to work. After about 45 minutes I located the ring. I dont always have the opportunity to do it but I measured…the ring flew 18 feet away from where he was when he lost it.

Dean was very happy to have his ring back and I was glad to have been able to help!
