Wedding Ring Lost Two Years Ago, FOUND, in Quarryville, PA

  • from Reading (Pennsylvania, United States)

I was contacted by Patrick staying he had lost his titanium wedding band two years ago while mowing his yard. He took his ring off and sat it on the tractor while washing his hands. After he began to mow again, he realized what he had done and the ring had fallen off somewhere in the yard. He would occasionally search for it using a cheap metal detector but with no luck. He decided after two years he would see if anyone searched professionally. He found « The Ring Finders » and immediately called me. I met Patrick at his home and he showed me where he thought it fell off his tractor.  After about 30 min of searching with my Garrett ATPro, I was able to happily return his wedding band to him. I found the ring about 2 inches in the ground and although dirty had no damage to it.

Lost White Gold Diamond Stud Earring Found In The Grass In Maumee Ohio

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

All FORE One

With more recreational activities opening back up, the pictured couple took some time to improve their golf swings late last June.
All was par for the course until hole 6. Swinging her club, she watched the ball hook and go into some bushes. To avoid the penalty of being driven out of bounds, they chased it. Upon recovering the ball and exiting the brush, a branch grazed her right ear. Once back on course, she noticed her gold diamond stud earring missing. These were a gift from her husband over a decade ago. A visual search combined with buying a metal detector and having a person from a local metal detecting club search produced a very high handicap. Quite tee’d off they came to the foregone conclusion it was gone. Swingin’ it one last time they reached out for help. When I arrived on site today I took a read of the other earring stud post with my detector. Armed with the information of my opponent we headed for the brush area. Searching the shaded area where the branch hit her yielded no results. Scanning the thick grass in the direction she exited I got a soft repeatable signal in the range of the earring. Probing thru the grass revealed the backing of the earring. She was thrilled! I realized the stud post would be from this point « fore » ward and scanning about a foot away I got the same signal but a bit louder. Reaching down and probing thru the grass revealed this gorgeous white gold diamond stud earring! I said Lady and gentleman we have a stud! She zoomed over and when she reached down and pulled it from the 3 inch deep, twisted grass I yelled teeriffic! Once outside the grass area she was at a loss for words and could not believe it was found and was ready to give up. Posing for a few pics and chatting a bit we enjoyed the moment, realizing that with this hole in one, we all really stroked the winning putt, the loss no longer put a wedge between them and with driving ambition we can succeed against all odds.

Lost Engagement Ring Found in Sand Banks Ontario

This morning I met with a young couple from Quebec, vacationing at Sand Banks, Prince Edward County, for the week. Unfortunately, she lost her engagement ring at the beach yesterday while placing it in her nap sack before going for a swim. Let me suggest to you that if your ring has any monetary/sentimental value, have your initials and phone number engraved inside the band and perhaps have it ensured. Bad situation that ends well. Her reaction video, below, is really worth watching. Another happy customer. Life is good. 😊

John`s daughter had the ring custom made for his birthday out of 18k white gold and 7 diamonds. John was planting potatoes behind his orchard when after spreading the straw around them he noticed his ring was missing.  After calling me I arrived the next morning, surveyed the potato plot and decided that I could cover the whole plot. Luckily the corner that I started at was where it was lost, and it was found within six footsteps.  Another happy customer.

Received a call about a person having lost their Apple Watch while diving off an old train bridge into a local canal/waterway near Glen Ross, Ontario. With the help of Diving partner, we were able to return the watch to the owner. Very lucky as conditions were very difficult with tons of weeds and silt. Yet another happy customer.

Lost Diamond rings found in Coe Hill

Got a phone call to go look for a couple rings that a lady had lost a couple days ago while swimming at a camp ground near Bancroft. After 4 1/2 hours of swinging the coil, and drinking tons of water to beat off the heat, I found them both about 3 feet appart in knee deep water. One happy lady and now, they can relax and enjoy the rest of their family vacation 🙂. Big thanks goes to Steve Zazulyk for putting me onto this call. You know anyone who has lost jewelry, on land or in water (down to 100 feet, Scuba), send me a PM. I cover anywhere between Kingston, Bancroft and Cobourg (including Prince Edward County). Life is good 😊

Bullet casings found in park for Mount Prospect Police Department in Illinois

  • from Las Vegas (Nevada, United States)
Contact:

Received a call form an officer yesterday who had used the Ringfinders in the past to find a ring in Michigan for a relative. He quickly explained that I was not in any trouble. (That’s a relief). He explained that they could use some help in locating some bullet casings for a suspected shooting in a local park. He asked me if this something a ringfinder could do. I said ABSOLUTELY!! He asked me how much it would cost. I said that was up to them. I’m a big believer in helping the Police if they need me.

I met the officer and his partner at the park. They said if I found any casings they would put up some tape to protect the area. I believe they were just following up on some complaint and were unsure if there was any shooting.

I brought extra metal detectors and they brought a detector form the police station. Neither officers knew how to use their machine, so I gave them some tips. They brought a bag of bullet casings. They had casings from a 22 all the way up to a 45, since we didn’t know what we were looking for. So we tested the machines on all of the bullet casings to get a range of what we were looking for.

I was using my XP Deus. I notched out the numbers that were not in the range of the casings. Since it was a surface find, I turned down my audio to 1 so that I could tell by the sound if it was close to the surface. I new from the tests that 9mm would fall in the 60’s. I was hunting in 12 kHz.

Based on the witnesses, the officers estimated where the event happened. I found my first casing in 5 minutes.

Up came the tape! They taped a large area but I continued to hunt in the area of my first find. Total casings found 8. They were scattered along an area within 10 feet of the sidewalk. Apparently there was a gunfight.

It was my pleasure to help these officers.

Lost gold cross ring, found in Little Long Lake, Fremont, IN

  • from Granger (Indiana, United States)

Kyle and Brent’s aunt had lost her gold-cross ring (diamonds cross) in the swim area of the family cottage.
She had been lounging on a tube/float when it fell off somewhere between the stairs and end of the pier. They said the ring had sentimental value and she really wanted it to be recovered.
We set up a day when the weather was cooperating.
I started shallow, found a couple pieces of metal junk, then got a signal with a few targets close together. Scooped out a piece of foil, a piece of aluminum, then a nice gold ring with diamond cross. Took all of about two minutes.
I was also able to scoop out a large nasty shard of glass that may have recently gouged one of their kid’s feet recently. It was bad enough to require stitches they said.

100 GM Cuban link Gold Chain found on South Beach Miami Florida Returned to owner.

  • from North Miami Beach (Florida, United States)

As I was metal detecting in the water on South Beach Miami Beach A couple of guys approached me and asked me to search for a gold chain for them. I spent two or so hours looking for it but after analyzing the situation and having only found beer cans and pennies. I thought we needed to go further out. The problem was it was getting to be the highest tide. So I took a break and waited until the tide went out further they agreed and after signing the contract. I continued to search way out for another 1 hour or so with little results. After discussing the possibility of a need to come back another day and or switching to another metal detector with better sensitivity. I got a target.!!! And brought up the gold chain in the picture. The owner was sooooo happy to get his chain back.
