Lost ring in the sand, Daytona Beach, Fl…..Found and Returned!

Chris, Aurelia and their four young children were at the beach enjoying a beautiful day of swimming and playing in the surf when suddenly Aurelia looked at her hand and her diamond engagement/wedding ring was not on her finger! She could not imagine how her ring had come off and where it could possibly be! She remembered putting suntan lotion on the kids and then she was sitting in her chair by the waters edge and there was also a brief time when she had played with her children in the shallow water. Aurelia was stunned as the impact and realization of what had happened sunk in and she wondered was there anything that could be done to find her ring?!
Two days later they were directed to theringfinders.com website and when Chris called me we decided to try and search the following day at low tide. Upon hearing their story I tried to piece together just what would have caused her ring to come off and everything pointed to the short time she spent in the shallow water playing with her children roughly two hours after low tide.
Monday afternoon I arrived at the beach a good two hours before low tide hoping and praying I was not to late. As I discussed the details with Chris and Aurelia I felt the need to pray and ask God to help me find their ring! With the family gathered around I committed my time and effort to the Lord and then went about doing a grid search in and out of the water. I had set out four pvc poles to make sure I was going in straight lines and still no ring after the first hour. I then headed up to the dry sand where they had placed their tent and towels and again no ring. Next I began grid searching the wet sand in between the water and the dry sand. After three passes I got a perfect signal and -BANG- up pops a man’s tungsten ring! False alarm! Then four rows over I get another perfect signal–only this time I see yellow gold in the hole!! I called Chris over and told him to dig in the center of the small hole I had scooped out with the toe of my scuba boot! I whispered another prayer of thanksgiving as I realize again what an honor and joy it is to help people find their lost treasures! God bless you Chris and Aurelia and your dear little family!

Chantal and her younger sister were enjoying a hot summer day by the cool dark waters of the Wekiva River. Wekiva Island is a unique place to swim and relax and spend time getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Earlier Chantal had laid out her towel at the waters edge and now as she was getting ready to gather up her belongings, she completely forgot that she had placed her Apple Watch on the edge of her towel and as she lifted her towel….the watch did a nose dive into the dark water and disappeared! Stunned she could not believe what had just happened! It was only 6 feet deep with a sort of sandy bottom mixed with leaves and other decaying debris, so how hard could it be to find it, right? For over an hour she dove and tried her very best to feel around with her feet, hoping to find her lost watch…but all to no avail!
Jennifer and her family were on vacation in St. Augustine Beach, Florida when the unthinkable happened! Read what Jennifer wrote: « Hi Mike. Again I cannot thank you enough for finding my hubby’s ring! We appreciate your quick response to what was a terrible way to start a vacation! I will admit that I was very skeptical when theringfinders.com web site was recommended to me but you accomplished what I thought would surely be an impossible task. I know that everyone values their wedding rings but his is extra special! Not only did we inherit our wedding ring set from my parents, it also survived my husband’s near fatal car accident 14 months ago. This was our first vacation and his first time back to the ocean since then. We appreciate your prayers for him! And I want you to know that after we met in person and talked, I knew that the Lord had sent the help I had asked for, He sent us you!!
Dom and his girlfriend were spending a warm summer day at the beach near Ponce Inlet, Florida, basking in the hot sun and swimming in the cool Atlantic waters. His girlfriend had taken her heirloom ring off and set it in the cupholder of her beach chair and soon forgot all about it. As high tide approached it was time to go and they gathered up their chairs, tent and other belongings and loaded up the truck and yes you guessed it, the ring fell into the soft sand and disappeared! They soon remembered the ring and returned to their parking spot on the beach and scoured the sand but realized the impossible task of finding such a small item in so soft of sand. For the next day and a half they agonized over the loss and that prompted a Google search which led them to theringfinders.com!

When Matt called me I could tell by his voice he was a bit concerned about a special ring he had lost earlier that day! Here is the story in Matts own words. « Mike with The Ring Finders saved my vacation! While playing volleyball with my wife and two young sons, my college ring slipped off my finger and fell into the sand of the volleyball court. My heart immediately sank. As a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, our Aggie rings are sacred and my first thought was that I would never see my ring again. I searched for over an hour with no luck and after a brief Google search, my wife suggested calling The Ring Finders. After speaking with Mike, I was immediately put at ease. He was genuinely sympathetic and concerned and let me know he would be there as soon as he could. When he arrived he let me know that he felt good about finding my ring and more importantly told me that he and his family had been praying for the successful recovery of my lost ring! As a follower of Jesus Christ, this both gave me comfort and reiterated to me that I had made the right choice in calling Mike. After a brief search Mike recovered my lost ring and saved the day and our trip! The entire experience with Mike was fantastic! I can’t say it enough, thank you for saving the day and God bless! Miguel was enjoying a warm spring day on his family’s dock with some friends and as they were getting ready to head up to the house, he asked one of his friends to toss him his shirt. Earlier, Miguel had laid his shirt across the back of a lawn chair and also had removed his gold chain and cross and placed it on top of his shirt. (This chain was very special to him as it was a gift from his mom 12 years ago and he has worn it ever since!) As his friend grabbed the shirt the chain slipped off and fell directly thru a crack between the deck boards of the dock. Miguel did not actually see the chain fall but he was able to hear the sound of his chain and cross as it fell into the dark waters below the dock. Stunned, he could not believe what had just happened! He mustered the courage to get into the cold water and made his way under the dock. There were lots of underwater plants growing up from the muddy bottom making it very difficult for Miguel as he tried to feel with his hands and his feet. Numerous shells, sticks and leaves mixed into the silty bottom was a very discouraging place to have lost his precious chain and cross. He searched for a while and soon realized the futility plus he was getting very chilled so he climbed out and tried to think of what to do next. This led him to do a search online for « How to find a gold chain underwater » and thankfully « theringfinders.com » website came up. He clicked on one of my recovery stories and decided to give me a call.
Larry called me from their vacation apartment down by the Disney area and asked if I could help him and his wife, Danielle, find her lost diamond engagement ring. Apparently they were out late the night before and while walking back to their room, Danielle had taken all her jewelry off and handed everything to Larry. After entering the apartment Larry put all the jewelry on the dining table and they then retired for the night. The next morning they got up later than normal and eventually Danielle went to collect her jewelry and to her horror, she could not find her diamond engagement ring! They immediately retraced their steps from the previous night and by this time it was around 12:00 noon. They looked for a couple of hours and that is what led them to contact me, thru theringfinders.
