Gold chain and pendant RECOVERED!

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

Received a call last night for a lost gold chain. It was obvious that this piece had extreme sentimental value attached to it. Met with the client first thing this morning and headed onto the beach where he had been setup the previous day. After about 15 minutes and about 3 passes I picked up the signal I was looking for. Client was very happy and I was very happy to be able to reunite him with his missing chain.

Clients review of service: « Padraic Aversa I’d like to thank you again Jeff for coming out again this morning after working overnight. The outcome had me speechless and extremely grateful »

Gold wedding and engagement rings RECOVERED!

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

Received a call this past Thurdsay morning for a lost wedding ring set. The rings were dropped sometime Wednesday and after the owner and her family searched yesterday they came up empty handed. So took the ride over this morning and met up with the owner and after about an hour or so searching out popped two gold beauties!

Clients review of service: « Amy Bullock Jones-I highly recommend giving Jeff a call if you are ever in the unfortunate situation of losing a ring(s) or other valuable item on the beach! I lost both of my rings (wedding band and engagement ring) yesterday after taking them off to apply sunscreen….after which I got distracted with five 13 year old girls. I didn’t even realize until later that night that they were missing. After searching every possible bag and beach chair pocket I was certain they were on the beach. The next morning I found Jeff through an internet search thinking I should at least give it a try. Jeff showed up within 1/2 hour of my phone call and went above and beyond to search the entire area I pointed out I thought we were around, and the area we exited the beach. I was absolutely amazed he found them both!! Thank you so much to Jeff for his quick response, extra effort to make sure he covered all areas, and a great result!! Thank you! »

2 Week old wedding band recovered!

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

Received a call last weekend for a wedding band that slipped off and fell into the bay off a boat slip finger dock. It was just about high tide when the owners called but I took a ride to see the area in the daylight and get an idea of where the owners believed it may be. They did a great job of pinpointing the area. At this point the ring was in well over 12ft of water so I assured the owner that I would come back at low tide and attempt to recover the ring. Met back up at 11 pm and after poking around in the stinking black back bay muck for about 20 minutes, out popped this beauty. Another successful recovery!

Diamond / Platinum Engagement Ring Recovered

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

Received a call this evening around 9pm for a engagement ring that was lost in the surf around 3:30pm this afternoon. After a brief conversation and a check of the tide tables and radar I decided that this evening would be the best shot considering the rings potential location, crazy strong current on this particular beach, and the fact that I had to travel out of town for most of the day tomorrow. Met up with the caller and her friends and headed down towards the water. Of course as soon as we began making our way down the beach a squall blew in, lol. Began searching the wet sand near the water and then began making my way into the surf. After about 15 minutes I got a nice deep signal and out came this beautiful platinum / diamond engagement ring. These folks may have been the most excited group I have ever come across to date. All in all, the drive over took longer than the recovery, about 15 minutes to get it in the scoop. Another happy client

« Thank you to the full moon and back, Jeffrey Laag! I had lost my wedding band, engagement ring, birthstone ring (a gift from the hubs after the birth of our second daughter), and a Celtic knot ring I’ve worn for years. Jeff was so very kind and efficient. And he found them after two days of being lost on the beach. Can’t thank you enough! I can now enjoy the rest of our vacation. »

Client review of service via FB « Lost Ring & Jewelry Service » page:

Every married ladies nightmare came true today when I lost my engagement ring and wedding bands on the beach! I went to lather my daughter up in spf, handed my husband my rings and he sat them on his lap. He then jumped up to grab our daughter and both rings went flying. Even worse we didn’t even notice they were gone for fifteen or so minutes later! We sifted through the surrounding sand for an hour and were googling local businesses to see if they sold or rented metal detectors to no avail. We thought we were out of luck. Thousands and thousands of dollars and all of that sentimental value was gone. My mom started googling metal detector services and found a ring finder directory. She found a man out of cape may and thought « what the hell » let me give him a call. Luck would have it that he was staying in the SAME campground as us!!! Five minutes later he was at the lake with his state of the art equipment and within minutes my rings were back on my finger. The beach erupted in clapping and cheers! Ladies, keep this gentleman’s info. You may need him one day! We can’t say thank you enough!!

Platinum / Diamond Wedding Ring Recovered

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

Well, considering the weather today I was not expecting a call for a recovery. But, low and behold right around 5 I received a call for a lost Platinum / Diamond wedding ring. So I drove over in the rain and met the party in about 15 minutes after receiving the call. The group directed me to the area where they believed the ring may have been dropped. So after turning on my Excal I began searching the area and recovered one bottle cap and the second signal out popped this beauty. All in all, actual search time was about three minutes. Less than an hour, round trip.IMG_8215 IMG_4370 IMG_2464

Yellow Gold / Diamond Mens Wedding Band Recovered!

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

Received a call from a gentleman (Chris) the other day. He said that he lost his wedding band after taking it off to apply sunscreen and left it in the cup holder pocket on the beach chair. He didn’t realize that it was still in the pocket until he was back to his hotel room, then realizing that it must have dropped out after folding the chair. This band had some family history since it contained diamonds from his mother in laws ring, so he was anxious to get it back ASAP. Luckily he got my contact info from beach patrol HQ. I met Chris at the beach about 15-20 minutes after getting the call and recovered the ring in about 5 minutes. Happy camper!

Heavy white gold engagement and wedding band recovered!

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

Received a call for a lost engagement & wedding ring (fused together) yesterday. After gathering some details from the caller it was learned that the ring was most likely already underwater since the caller believed that it was in the wet sand and lost near low tide, (or so we thought). So we decided that this afternoons low tide would be a good time to shoot for it. I arrived about 2 hrs before dead low tide and hunted a large area (approx 50 X 50 yards)for about 2 hrs,  in the wet, with no luck.  The client was not entirely sure when she dropped the ring but thought it was in the wet sand. So the day was getting late and the dry sand was finally begining to clear off from beach goers and even the client was loosing hope fast. I still had plenty of daylight left so when the client approached me to tell me that she was leaving to meet with family I decided to hunt the dry area now that it was vacant.  The client literally made it to the end of the beach access ramp and BINGO, snagged it! Another happy reunion and satisfied client.
