Lost Wedding Band Found at Jericho Beach, Vancouver.

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Summer is knocking at the door/beach already! The temperature will be in the high 80’s for the next 10 days and people are hitting the beach hard!

That being said I got a call yesterday about a lost wedding band at Jericho beach, it was lost in the ocean and they looked for an hour with no luck and the young man’s wife came back the next day and spent another hour or more searching at low tide…No luck!

Thankfully the lifeguard passed the young couple my rack card and told them about… TheRing Finders.com

I met Chris at the beach this morning around 9am and he showed me the location the ring was lost at and because I had to wait a couple of hours for the tide to go out he hit the road for a bike ride.

I hunted the beach dry & wet sand for a while and found 7 $2.00 coins and 2 $1.00 coins and some dimes & quarters.

About an hour later I hit the water and found Chris’ tungsten carbide wedding band in about 8-10 minutes at chest deep water.

I love my jog!

How to Find a Lost Gold Wedding Ring at Jericho Park Vancouver…Found

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Today I received a call from a young man who had lost his wedding ring 3 days ago at a park in Vancouver. He told me he was playing Frisbee football and he wasn’t sure if he put the ring in his bag before the game or if he put the ring in his pocket…

After meeting Doug and discussing the search area and asking a lot of questions to narrow down the search area I decided to start the search where Doug put his bag down.

I knew that this could be a very long search as I would have to search the entire soccer field if the ring wasn’t found near where his bag was.

I started my search and after 10 minutes or so I got a good signal and looked down and saw a big gold band hiding in the golden grass. I was excited and noticed that Doug and his wife wasn’t looking so I picked it up and asked Doug if I could do a short interview about his ring…He agreed but what he didn’t know was that I found his ring.

After a few questions I held the ring up in front of the camera and on the video you can see their reaction…I love my job!!!

Lost Diamond Engagement Ring at Spanish Banks Dog Park, Vancouver BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Yesterday at around 5 pm I received a call from a young man named Adam who asked me if I was the guy who found rings…I said  »I’m that guy »

He told me his wife had lost both of her rings in the sand and after 5 minutes they found the wedding band but they couldn’t find the platinum engagement ring.

This is most common as its a thinner band and harder to see and if you walk on it, its gone from sight.

I was  getting ready to pick up my grandson so I headed out to help them right away, he said that he and some other people at the dog Park/ beach were searching for it and I told them to stop as they could bury it deeper and make it difficult to find.

I grabbed my Minelab CTX 3030 and headed to the beach, when I got there I was greeted by Adam who was happy to see me but anxious to get started with the search.

Sitting on a log nearby was a couple of people that helped the young man and his wife search for the ring, they told me that they had invested interest in the search and wanted to see a happy ending.

The young man’s wife went home to get dinner started for their two young children so you can imagine her concern. Well I started the search in the area that they found the first ring and when It wasn’t there Adam said that his wife did go out towards the water at low tide.

I wasn’t finished searching the hot zone when I got a good hit (1310 on the CTX) and I knew this had to be the ring, I bend down and reached into the sand and pulled out a beautiful platinum diamond ring! It took about 2 minutes to find his Smile! The lady and her husband who were watching the search were as excited as we were to see it!

Lost Diamond Engagement Ring In Delta, BC…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Last night at around 10:15 pm I received a call from a young man that explained to me that his fiancé had lost her engagement ring on the side of the road where they were walking. In actual fact he accidentally pulled the ring off while holding her hand and it went flying into the grass, the ring wasn’t fitting the young lady perfectly it was a bit loose.

You can only imagine the disappointment and heartbreak this young couple felt for over an hour and a half of searching for the ring in the grass and waiting for me to arrive.

When I arrived I was greeted by  young couple and they explain the situation and  showed me what happened. I took a look at the search area and thought to myself this could be a fast recovery… but most times when I think that… it’s the exact opposite.

I set up my searchlights I set up my GoPro camera and tuned up my Garrett AT Gold and began to search, we had a young lady on a bike stop to watch and within 10 seconds I had found the ring!

Smiles everywhere! Its the greatest feeling in the world for me to see how happy you can make someone! And the young lady in the video was so happy for the couple as well. I truly have the greatest job in the world!

How to Find a Lost Ring in in Burnaby, BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received a call this morning from a young lady who found The Ring Finders online. She told me that she lost her ring in her back yard while throwing a ball for her dog. She searched and searched but could not find her ring, I told her that I’d be there in an hour to help find it for her.

When I arrived at her home she showed me the back yard and the grass was short, my first thought was it’s not in the grass because it would be an easy spot. That being said I started my search where I thought the ring should be and to element the area. After a few minutes and no ring I expanded my search area and in the bushes behind me and close to the house I found her ring.

It’s so important to search everywhere and not just focus on the area you think it should be in…It’s amazing where rings show up but it doesn’t surprise me anymore.

Lost Ring Kits Beach Dog Park

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Early morning New Years day I received a call from a young lady who had lost her diamond engagement ring at Kits Beach Dog Park.

Needless to say she was very upset and wanted to know if I could get there as soon as possible as the tide was coming in. I was making breakfast for my wife when I got the call so I finished making her breakfast jumped in my car and got there within 40 minutes .

The tide had already come up about 3 feet from where they had possibly lost the ring so I knew that it might be in a couple of feet of water. The young lady was very upset and could hardly talk to me about what happened. After a brief discussion about the ring I found out she received it on Christmas Day so she just recently became engaged…Say no more!

I started my search and found a piece of melted aluminum along with a bottle cap and then the third signal only three minutes into the search I saw her beautiful diamond engagement ring in the bottom of my sand scoop.

I love my job because of the smiles and happiness it brings to people, it’s amazing how much it means to someone especially when she just recently got engaged even more so when you had the ring for 30 or 40 years but like I say everybody ring has a story and this story had a happy ending! Thank you for the kind reward! As always 15% of your reward will go to Children’s Hospital.

How to Find a Gold Ring in the Attic…

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received a call the other day in regards to a lost ring in the attic…The young man told me he found me online when he was looking on how to find a lost ring in the attic. We discussed the search and I knew I could find his ring but it could be challenging.

We met up on Sunday and he showed me the attic and how he lost the ring and where…I got to work and thankfully it wasn’t summer as the temperature in the attic was comfortable,  it was blown in insulation so it’s like quicksand for ring.

After searching with my AT gold with the sniper coil for approximately 30 minutes I received a good target number of 65/66… there was his wedding band of 13 years just hidden inches into the insulation.

How to Find a Lost Ring in Pemberton, BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

The other day I got a call from from a gentleman from Vancouver Island. He asked If I could help find his lost ring and went on to tell me that the ring was very special to him.

He put all the rings his wife bought him over the years and had them melted down and made into one heavey ring with diamonds.

He told me he was visiting his son in Pemberton, BC (3 hour drive for me)  and they were working on changing the oil for his son’s car. That night his father went to the Bed & Breakfast that he was staying at and in the morning he realized that his ring was missing…He checked his room but nothing, So he started to think where the ring could be…

1- The car he and his son were working on was in the barn and when they finished working on the car he remembered brushing off the straw from his son’s back.

2-The father remembered taking the car mats out and brushing off the straw at a Bed & Breakfast that he was staying at in town…

He thought for sure it must have came off when he was brushing the car mats, so he spent time searching the grass and shrubs around the area where he parked. When he couldn’t find the ring he remembered the barn and brushing the hay off his son’s back. The brushing motions could have made the ring come off his finger?

After he and his son did a search of the barn and no luck he went online to find a metal detector and found me on The Ring Finders. We made arrangements and I met his son the next day. He showed me the area and it wasn’t a big area and within 5 minutes I found the ring!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

We figured the horse had stepped on the ring as it was buried in the dirt out of sight. His son was very happy and sent a text message to his father to tell him the good news.

The drive was a total of 6 hours there and back and the search took 5 minutes. I love my job! I always get to meet interesting people and learn the story of their ring and hopefully find their Smile!

Metal Detecting Pitt Lake for a Lost Gold Ring

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Yesterday I received a call from a lady that told me her son lost a very special ring that was gifted to him by his late Grandmother. She also said that he lost it the day they were spreading her ashes at Pitt Lake.

He was just throwing a rock into the lake when he felt the ring come off his finger…The family had spent 4 hours that day on their hands and knees searching for the ring in the long grass where the young man saw it land…But no luck!

He and his father went back the next day and continued the search for another 4 hours for this family heirloom but still couldn’t find it. I believe his mother told me over the phone that they were going to rent a metal detector and found me online and decided to call me.

I was already loading the car with equipment for a search up in Whistler which is about a 2 hour drive from where I live.  After hearing this story about the young man and knowing that they were at the location searching (45 minutes away) I figured I’d reschedule the search for the next day in Whistler. That was a good thing because after the search for the young mans ring at Pitt lake I got a call from the people in Whistler and they found their ring in their house…That saved me a couple hours driving as they thought the ring was lost in their yard.

When I showed up at Pitt lake I was greeted by the young man and his father and we discussed the search for a few minutes and I began my search. In most cases it’s never where the people where searching (8 hours) as they themselves would have found it. I cleared the area that they were searching and moved further down the embankment and I got a faint signal in some very long grass and weeds. I went in with my pin pointer and found the gold ring covered in grass and hard to see with the eye.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I get so excited myself when I find what I’m looking for and knowing the story and what it means to the young man!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The smile says it all… He was so happy and such a nice young man who you can tell loved his Grandmother & Grandfather so very much!
