Wasaga Beach, Ontario~Platinum wedding ring returned from the waters 150′ from shore

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

2017-08-25 – Wasaga Beach, Ontario

Received a call from Rob G who lost his ring playing rugby in the waters of Wasaga Beach.

Rob & his wife Kerah took visiting Friends from England to Wasaga’s Beach #3 (pet friendly area) for a full day with the dog’s. Rob was in the water 150′ from shore playing water Rugby and off flew his wedding band. Rob’s English friends mentioned that in the UK there are metal detectorists that help with people losing items and decided to try and search Google. « The Ring Finders » site came up on his search and found my information.

I took Rob’s information and decided to head up and start searching. Unfortunately I didn’t have any luck the first day out. The following day Kerah met me at the beach and had a better location. It took about an hour and surprised Kerah when I came back into shore for some water. She was totally amazed I could find her husbands wedding band that far out from shore.

Lost Diamond Engagement Ring at Spanish Banks Dog Park, Vancouver BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Yesterday at around 5 pm I received a call from a young man named Adam who asked me if I was the guy who found rings…I said  »I’m that guy »

He told me his wife had lost both of her rings in the sand and after 5 minutes they found the wedding band but they couldn’t find the platinum engagement ring.

This is most common as its a thinner band and harder to see and if you walk on it, its gone from sight.

I was  getting ready to pick up my grandson so I headed out to help them right away, he said that he and some other people at the dog Park/ beach were searching for it and I told them to stop as they could bury it deeper and make it difficult to find.

I grabbed my Minelab CTX 3030 and headed to the beach, when I got there I was greeted by Adam who was happy to see me but anxious to get started with the search.

Sitting on a log nearby was a couple of people that helped the young man and his wife search for the ring, they told me that they had invested interest in the search and wanted to see a happy ending.

The young man’s wife went home to get dinner started for their two young children so you can imagine her concern. Well I started the search in the area that they found the first ring and when It wasn’t there Adam said that his wife did go out towards the water at low tide.

I wasn’t finished searching the hot zone when I got a good hit (1310 on the CTX) and I knew this had to be the ring, I bend down and reached into the sand and pulled out a beautiful platinum diamond ring! It took about 2 minutes to find his Smile! The lady and her husband who were watching the search were as excited as we were to see it!

Found Wedding & Engagement Rings at The Dog Park, Kits Beach.

Just before I was getting ready to call it a night I received an email that a young lady had lost both her wedding & engagement rings at the dog park at Kits Beach. I emailed the person right away and asked them to call me, minutes later we were discussing the search.

Because the rings were lost at such a high risk area…(beach and by a log) I knew that we’d have to get out ASAP to search for the rings. The young man agreed to meet me at 11:45 pm, we met and he showed me the area he thought the rings would be in…

After a few swings of my metal detector and no rings I began to move to the front of the log where they never searched for the rings and within a minute I found one of the rings…

Minutes after the wedding ring was found I found the engagement ring! Smiles all around! The rings were not where he thought they’d be but its my job to think of why they’re not there and expand my search area. For some reason the rings were deep! After discussing the search he told me that they have a 70 lb. dog that was play right were the rings where found…

I love my job!

Lost gold signet ring

Found in a pond at a dog park

Today I had the pleasure of searching for a gold ring with a family crest and two small diamonds on it.

This ring belonged to a young man who was at a dog park in White Rock, he threw a stick for his dog and saw a splash in the pond…It wasn’t the stick it was his ring that went into the pond…

The ring was given to him by his parents 10 years ago as a graduation gift…He made a mental note of the area that the ring came off and went home to search the internet on how to find his ring…

He found my website…The Ring Finders and called me and we set up a time and met in the dark to find his ring. Thanks to the young for putting me in a great area the ring was found in minutes…That being said the water was cold on the feet as I had to wade in a bit to get to the ring.

This was my first find for 2010 and I’m happy for the young man! It was nice meeting you both and thanks for the kind reward.

I Love my job!
