This is my 2nd recovery in 2011 so far….and I’m 2 for 2! I’ll let Jeff P. tell the story. Thanks for checking out my page!

In May 2011, my platinum wedding band came off during a soccer game. I knew I had it on at the beginning of the game and realized midway through the second half that it had come off. I thought back and suspected that it flew off during a throwin, but had no idea where on the field it had fallen. The field is a very large area, approx.100×75, so I thought it was a lost cause.
After the game, I went home and began researching metal detectors with the intention of renting one and searching for it myself. I was surprised to find the RingFinders.com community and decided to contact Jim Wagner. Jim returned my email and within 2 hours, we were out on the field looking for the ring. After only 40 minutes of searching, Jim found my ring! What a feeling of relief! My wife was out there with us and she was thrilled. Thanks, Jim!

Jeff P.

Yours truly and a VERY happy Jeff P!

Lost Wedding Ring Retrieved From Community Pond in Northern Virginia!

On 2/21/11, I was contacted by a woman named Susan about her recently lost wedding ring.  She told me how she was at her neighborhood park the day beforer and when she went to throw some bread crumbs to the geese in the pond….you guessed it, off flew her wedding band! We made arrangements to meet and a few days later I found myself at the edge of a well maintained pond in a beautiful community. Immediately I slipped into my waders and got to work. After fifty minutes, 3 old cans, a beat up minnow trap and  a coax cable connector, I hit pay dirt!

Back where it belongs!

The look on Susan’s face was one of amazement and joy.  By contacting me quickly and taking note of exactly where she was when the ring came off, Susan made my job that much easier. Being able to return something that is so precious to someone sure is a great feeling!

Success!

Lost platinum wedding band in the snow… B.C.I.T, Burnaby

Wedding band lost in the snow

It snowed pretty hard today and I was running around with my wife getting some stuff read for work next week,  I got a call from a young man that had lost his  platinum wedding band in the snow at B.C.I.T (British Columbia Institute of Technology)

He told me that he had a good area were he believed his ring came off,  also that 5  people had  stopped to help him search for his lost ring for close to one hour, with no luck.

We made plans to meet and search for the ring and we met an hour later.  I started the grid search and 10 minutes into the search I asked him if he could get a ring out of my truck so we could do a test with it.

Just as he was going to the truck I received a good signal and kicked the snow to see his wedding band looking back up at me!

Thick Platinum Ring Lost in Snow

Needles to say he was very happy to see his ring,  it only took 10 minutes  to find it and he was in a bit of a rush to pick up his daughter from school, so it worked out well.

He was a very nice young man and I was very happy to help him find his wedding band of 6 years…

I love my Job!

Lost Platinum Wedding Band 2nd Beach, Stanley Park, Vancouver

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received a call late afternoon from a young man who had just lost his Platinum wedding ring. It was lost at 3rd beach at Stanley Park, Vancouver and the tide was coming in fast.

I jumped into my car and drove there and it took me 20 minutes to find parking! When I met Mike he showed me the area that he lost his ring and I started my grid search.

I met the lifeguard who said that I was in the wrong area as the tide had come in and it would be well over my head. I continued searching in hope that the ring was lost closer to shore, no such luck.

Sometimes you can’t find what your looking for and I knew that Mike was sad but I told him that I’d come back for low tide at 3 AM.

When I arrived back at the beach at 2:30 AM the tide was way out, I began my grid search and after one hour I found his platinum wedding band with a dragon on the outside and inscription on the inside.

I e-mailed Mike the good news and a picture of his ring and now its back on his finger.

I love my job!
