Man loses 14k white gold with palladium trim wedding band in waters of Wasaga Beach 3

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Adam & Lindsay from Kingston, ON we’re visiting Wasaga Beach 3 with Family members! The guys were playing with a bounce ball in the water when Adam felt and saw his wedding band fall off his finger into the water. The three guys all started looking to try to see the ring but had no luck.

Lindsay was checking beach goers to see if anyone had swim googles to loan to assist looking for the ring underwater.

Ann Maria and Kaitlin visiting the beach from Collingwood had suggested calling THE RING FINDERS Alison as they had recently saw a post of another ring recovery & return the previous day!

I had been dealing with a blown serpentine belt on my diesel truck and advised I could attend the location in an hours time to assist.

Arrived and discussed the details of how Adam had lost his wedding ring. Decided to complete a circular grid at first but after 6 passes changed to a back and forth grid. After 45 minutes, I had a beauty of a tone.

I had winked to my Friends Heather & Greg (Greg fixed my truck hours before) to restart the video…then the surprise!!

Check out the video!!

Adam was in disbelief!! I could see that he was giving up….but I never give up!

I wish this lovely young couple the very best for the arrival of their first born child in October!! Also, I I am grateful to have another donation coming into the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation for my PAY-IT-FORWARD fundraising efforts!! Using my passion for metal detecting for charity!!

14k WHITE GOLD/DIAMOND ENCRUSTED ENGAGEMENT RING LOST AT LARGE SPORTS COMPLEX Ancaster, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a Facebook message from a long time Girlfriend Tracey F’s Daughter Senna that her engagement ring was lost at a large baseball complex in Ancaster, Ontario! OMG she was devastated to say the least!!!

Senna is a Fastball star Pitcher for the Port Perry Angels and was in a tournament that day. She had taken off her engagement ring and had placed it in her jacket pocket. Seena’s Fiancé Matthew had even went out and purchased 2 metal detectors from the local Canadian Tire. They searched for 7-8 hours prior to calling me. Her baseball team, Family, Friends and Fans were also searching between games with brooms and rakes. Senna missed her last because she was so distraught!

I arrived after 7pm. I discussed with Senna, Matthew and Tracey to retrace her steps on the field area, dugout, grass and sheltered areas. I started on the infield down the first base side where she had warmed up pitching. I then moved into the dugout area. This is where Senna had her baseball bag and dropped her jacket down to warm up. I had a very low tone VDI 5 on the Minelab Equinox 800. It was 1″-2″ down. I had told Tracey a key world phrase « can you get me some water » which really meant « I FOUND THE RING »!! Then the surprise video/return…..

Here’s the video on the SURPRISE recovery & return!!

I just LOVE it when the SHRIEK & TEARS of shear disbelief & joy happens on the return!! #priceless

I was very grateful to Matthew as he donated one if the junior detectors to my upcoming ‘ Pink Power Ally Kids Treasure Hunter Club’!! He also made a Charity donation to the « Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation »!! #PAYITFORWARD

LOST SENTIMENTAL 925 SILVER RING IN BRAMPTON, ON PARK GRASS

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

I received a phone call from Sam from Brampton, Ontario as he lost a very sentimental 925 silver ring recently.

Sam was walking his two dogs in a City of Brampton park. He ran with the dogs when the leashes crossed and came to a stop 40’ away! He realized he had lost his cell phone and his silver ring!

Sam luckily found his cell phone that night but not his ring. Sam then rented a metal detector which sounded like they gave him a locates machine. He then turned to YouTube to find one of my ring recovery videos but also a former member of “The Ring Finders” ‘Mark’ suggested he look up “The Ring Finders” to find a dedicated detectorist close to his location to aid in the search!

I advise Mark my fee and my “Pay-It-Forward” program that when I find his ring he is to in-turn make an on-line charity donation towards the “Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation”

We searched through the long knee deep grass with no success for 1 hour & 40 minutes. After 20 minutes I decided to switch my medium sized coil on the MINELAB Equinox 800 to the small coil! Continued to search and go over the initial search areas! No luck! I then went over the first area search  but expanded towards the path and BOOM!!!! FOUND IT!! Saw the silver and started the video…. check it out!! He’s making a DONATION!!!

https://youtu.be/

I ….NEVER…. like giving up and offered to come back throughout the week once the grass was cut!! But we had FAITH!!

NOTHING BEATS THE SHEAR EXCITEMENT & AMAZEMENT IN THE CLIENTS REACTION!!!

AUZZIE LOSES ENGAGEMENT RING OFF DOCK PARRY SOUND, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a text and subsequent telephone call from Holly and Australian Sheila. Holly has been visiting Ontario to help a dear Friend going through brain cancer. Previous weekend they were at a cottage on Rankin Lake in the beautiful Parry Sound area. Holly had taken both her engagement ring and wedding band off and tied them on her hair elastic then wrapping them around her cell phone. She picked up two oars and before she knew it saw them fling off her cell phone onto the deck. She found her wedding band on the dock but could not locate her white gold engagement ring.

Holly called a number of « ring finders » in a panic and took the first one available out of the Barrie area. Unfortunately, her engagement ring could not be located. She was again in a panic mode as she was heading home to Australia in a weeks time. Holly was extremely upset she called me again. We had made a last minute plan but had to cancel with the severe weather and tornado in eastern Ontario and Quebec with heavy damages. Upon speaking again mid-morning she had mentioned her return home and was desperate. I then finished packing my truck and said « LETS DO THIS – BE THERE IN 3 HOURS ».

We arrived at the cottage location, brought all the gear down and I proceeded to do a short grid from 4′ out from dock in and under. I decided not to do the area under the deck with a rock crib which is very difficult even though I also brought along my Detecnix pin pointer for that spot. Closer I was to shore after 10 minutes with 2 pull tabs, then a nail….there was the strong distinctive tone on the Minelab Excalibur 2!!! At this point I had a snorkel mask on without the snorkel as I left it in my truck. Holly was heading up to my truck to retrieve the snorkel and I said « wait a minute »…

After a few handfuls there was her beautiful engagement ring!! B=I=N=G=O!!

Here’s the video *******

We were both excited. She really didn’t think I was going to find it but she flies home a very happy lady.

I didn’t accept a reward for my « Pay-it-Forward » campaign for a charity donation (Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation) because I consider Holly an « EARTH ANGEL » for being here for a month looking after her dear Friend with cancer. I will Pray for her Friend!!! I was given an invitation if I ever head to the « LAND DOWN UNDER »….Sure going to consider that offer!!

I have already advised Holly of another awesome ring finder in Australia « Jean Williams »!!

Great to meet ya Shiela « Holly »!! Cheers and safe travels back home!!

Heirloom gold wedding band lost in water Port Carling, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Had a message come in through the ring finders site from Ellen after she had google lost ring.

Ellen & Stephen was recently married on their lovely property by the waters of Port Carling, Ontario. She had asked her Son Andrew to be the Best Man and surprised him with his late Grand Father’s wedding band. After the nuptials, Andrew decides to go for a swim to cool down but the ring had slipped off his finger to the murky bottom. Two days later he advised his Mother the devastating news. I met Ellen & Stephen two days later on the property. They had advised the ring was in 3′ to 4′ of water… it was just over 5′ up to my ears. I had the tone with my Minelab Excalibur 2 in just 5 minutes but it took another 8 minutes to scoop the ring out between sticks and boards.

This sentiMental Heirloom 10k white/14k yellow late Grandfather’s wedding band is back were it belongs…with FAMILY !! Pleasure to meet this Family and thanks to

Here is the video from this ring recovery & return!!

Another donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation greatly received for my « Pay-it-forward » fundraising campaign!!

Man lost 18k white gold latched wedding band Farlain Lake, Penetang, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

I received a message from Laura M whom was visiting here Family cottage on Farlain Lake, Penetang, Ontario. Here Husband and 2 Sons were visiting the Family and were flying home to Calgary, Alberta soon. She asked if I was able to locate in 8′ waters with a murky bottom. I quickly replied I could and was available immediately after work.

Severe thunderstorms had rolled in Ontario that afternoon. I had just finished another ring find in the water and the rain came down. I arrived at the cottage, met the Family and brought all the gear down to the bottom. Turns out her Brother-in-Law lost his gold wedding band over 10 years ago as well.

I had sent a message earlier in the day to mark the location with a rock and floating jug to cut down the area to search. The thunder and lightening started so we waited it out for about 10 minutes…and proceeded to gear up. I also brought a magnet for the kids to try magnet fishing….they loved it!

WOW, it was a very silty bottom with 6-8″ of muck so hard to keep a good grid pattern direction. Just over an hour later…..my trusty Minelab Excalibur 2 toned off with a sweet crisp tone. BINGO BANGO!!! There is was!!

Here is a link to the video from my YouTube channel;

I started to look for the 2nd lost wedding band of the Brother-in-Law but the darkness was setting in! I’ll be back!! Very happy clients before they head home to Calgary, Alberta! Lovely Family!!

Wedding ring lost prior to wedding ceremony Richmond Hill Country Club, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a text message from Jing & Mark S for a request to assist to find a custom platinum wedding band that was unfortunately lost prior to the wedding ceremony of his best Friend of 23 years. Mark was the Best Man at a wedding ceremony on the lovely ground of the Richmond Hill Country Club. Mark had written explicit details of the days events leading up to the wedding ceremony. This was key in retracing there steps and actions. Prior to the actual wedding ceremony, the photography asked all the wedding party to remove any items such as phones from the pockets. Mark had removed both the Bride’s and Grooms custom wedding bands crafted in China from the jewellers boxes. Mark felt that a number of times he removed his cell phone from his jacket pocket and at those locations the wedding band could likely be at any one of the spots.

We proceeded down the pathway in which the wedding parties travels in golf cart, up over a bridge and then onto a open grass area where the photo’s had taken place. I used my trusty Minelab Excalibur 2 on land and that amazing tone of platinum on « discrimination » makes my detector SING!! Within 5 on the open grass area that wonderful tone sounded off!! I spotted the very small sized platinum wedding band, threw done my machine (gently of course) and raised my arms. Mark & Jing thought I was upset with them as they were standing on either side of the area as I was using them for my grid markers. Both kept moving about. I then started recording for the ‘surprise’.

Here’s the video for the return

The « Best Man » came through for his Best Friend the Groom and his new Wife!!
