Lost Engagement Ring in Salt Lake City- Found

This recovery was  tough one! I received two text messages from Todd at 2am and at 4am one morning as he was desperate to find his fiancé’s engagement ring. He had searched pretty much all night when he finally reached out to me. Todd had taken the ring to get it cleaned and upon returning to his apartment complex, dropped the ring box and the ring came out on the sidewalk. He bent down to pick up the ring and as he was standing back up, heard a loud noise which startled him. As he reacted to the loud noise, he threw up his hands and the ring went flying down a steep hill covered with juniper bushes. When I arrived, we experimented with a penny and had him repeat exactly what he did the night before. He had also tried this a couple of times and it seemed that all the coins landed in a similar area. I first tried all the open spaces where I could get my coil to the ground but no luck. I proceeded to use my hand-held probe to try to get into the base of the bushes. It was a dirty job and one that resulted in several scratches up and down my arms. After about 2 hours, I started to peel back the branches of one of the bushes when I spotted something shiny! I quickly turned to Todd and asked him what is that? He bent down and pulled out his fiancé’s engagement ring. What a beautiful white gold ring with a blue/green amethyst!  The stress and anxiety Todd was feeling was quickly replaced with a big smile as he pulled the ring from the bush. Congrats Todd on your engagement!

Lost Engagement Ring in Cedar Hills- Found

Received a call from Janae after a couple days of searching for her engagement ring. She was working in the yard and took her ring off and when she went to put it back on, she realized it was missing from her pocket. She searched all over the yard, pulled all the soil and trash from the garbage, checked the garage, and even rented a metal detector to help locate it but unfortunately could not seem to locate the ring. I got to Janae’s house that evening and after running through all the possible areas she could have lost it, I started to grid off the front yard where she was walking back and forth to the house from where she was working. I had made just a couple passes when I got a surface signal and immediately spotted the ring in the grass. The ring was about 5 feet outside the area she was walking which often times is the case. Fortunately only took me about 7 minutes to locate it. I went to the door and presented the ring to Janae and she was overwhelmed with emotion! So happy I was able to recover this beautiful platinum ring with diamonds to Janae!

This young lady lost her Heirloom diamond ring in the water at Orange Beach Alabama. I was asked to find it late In the afternoon, arriving an hour before dark, I searched until I could no longer see what I was doing and promised to be searching first thing the next morning. I arrived at day break expanding the search area and found her ring within about 45 minutes. I called her to deliver the good news(it was real early, I might have woke her up). She was happy to tears and put the ring back on her finger with noticeable resolve that she would not ever lose it again. I went home happy knowing I had made her day and saved her vacation.

Found Gold Diamond Ring near Pittsburgh at Slippery Rock, PA after WPIAL Track Event

  • from Indiana (Pennsylvania, United States)

Lost your ring, keys, phone, other valuable metal item?? Call/text Brian Carpenter at (814) 244-2300, metal detecting and lost jewelry recovery specialist for service in Pittsburgh, Indiana, PA and most of Western Pennsylvania.

This one gives « track and field » a whole new perspective…I received a phone call from Vicky who lost her ring while at the WPIAL high school track and field championships at Slippery Rock University. She said they parked at one spot, went into the stadium and then had moved the car and parked in a different area. She had no idea where it was lost during her time there. So let’s see – a large event that had hundreds if not thousands of people, at least three possible locations and no clues as to where…piece of cake…well maybe not…I wasn’t feeling it here at the start.

I called and got permission to look for the ring at the stadium and the campus property before heading out. While on my way there Vicky went over to talk to the Slippery Rock campus police who came up with the great idea of checking security footage. Sure enough they were able to locate her going into the stadium and as luck would have it, she had her ring on. This was big, it eliminated one search area off the bat. However, on the way out Vicky had on gloves so we did not know if it was in the stadium or not.

So I met Vicky at the stadium and checked the grassy areas where she had been. The track has small grassy areas, but as you can imagine, with lots of metal and chain link fence around. I searched as best as I could and no luck. So we crossed off the track and went to the field. After moving the car they had parked in a grass field above the stadium. There isn’t much suspense here as we know the ring was found. It was in the high grass in the area where they had parked. She was elated to have her ring back I was happy to be on board in 2022 with my first find of the year!!

I’d like to give a big shout out to the Slippery Rock Police Department and thank them for the assist. They were awesome and checking those cameras was huge…Public Service at it’s finest!!

Lost Gold Crown tooth in North Spokane WA, FOUND!!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

I was at work and two minutes away from starting my weekend when I got a call from a guy wanting to rent a metal detector. I explained I don’t rent them out but I am a professional and can look for his lost item right now. We discussed a few other details and then I made my way to the house. See, the gentleman had been attempting to remove the gold from an old tooth from a long lost relative. His first attempt on the first tooth was successful. So the method of using a hammer to beat the tooth that was wrapped in a paper towel was attempted again. However, this attempt caused the tooth to go flying. Speaking of flying I flew  to his house and quickly we walked to the back yard. I was showen a 2ft 2ft swath of grass, in said grass hid a tooth. So I summed my inner tooth fairy and began to scan the grass with my garret carrot. Then BAM,the pinpointer buzzed with excitement as I pulled back the grass revealing the tooth. A record setting search, taking less then 30 seconds. I have to really give thanks to the guy for giving me a tip even though the gold from that tooth was really needed. So my prayers and thanks go out to you, may God bless and heal all the broken things in your life.

I was called out today to look for a gold ring that Mr. Harris lost. This ring used to be his Grandfather’s. His ring was lost while feeding his horses about 5 months ago in December and found in May. I only had to search for about 5 minutes and found it in the dirt just by the fence. I am truly glad I could find his family heirloom and bring closure.

West Chester New York lost gold men’s wedding band recovered

  • from Mahwah (New Jersey, United States)

Ben was working in his yard and his hands were wet and muddy. He shook his hands off and realized his 14 carat wedding band was missing.
he borrowed a metal detector from a friend and tried finding his ring with no success. He spent hours searching in the lawn where he was sure he lost the ring.

on the recommendation of a friend he located me on the Ringfinders website. We arranged for me to search for the ring. I showed up and he described where he thought he lost the ring.

I located the lost ring in 15 minutes and Ben was elated as the jeweler who made the ring could not recreate the ring due to health problems.

so, if you lose something precious, don’t hesitate to call an expert detectorist through the Ringfinders.
