Lost Gold Wedding Ring Found In Canton Michigan

A Newlywed’s Nightmare…..

….wasn’t happening because Travis and his wife of 3 weeks marriage was breaking down, but rather because as they were playing their favorite sport of soccer yesterday evening his ring fell off. The short practice session led into the darkness as they traded being goalie and kicker. As they were getting into their vehicle Travis noticed his ring missing and no telling where it could be. On site I turned my MXT metal detector’s lighted meter on and started to search the path they walked to no avail, then started to grid search the soccer field area. A few short passes of scanning I got a nice signal where the ring should be on the detector meter. Pinpointing it at 0 depth on the metal detector meter confirmed it….. as I reached into the grass there was his ring! The couple was thrilled at scoring big time with the recovery and can now relax with the excitement to move forward in their marriage goals.

The Ulti-Mutt Experience….

…. Is what Sam the dog was looking to have. As he explored the yard, the chasing of squirrels and opossums off the property started to get old, he was occasionally caught red pawed where the grass was greener. Leashing him to the yard limits didn’t solve the problem as his ruff neighbor dog pals remained at a distance howling with laughter tempting him to cross the boundry, leading to many bark-b-ques. Deciding that this was not just another day at the paw-ffice and trying to stay paw-sitive, Sam’s masters decided to make the decision to put up a fence. But first they needed the property irons located. Upon arrival, even tho I’m not much of a dog-tor, I was greeted excitedly by Sam and patting him on the head followed by a wagging tail assured I had permission to enter his territory, and all would be ok. Scanning the property ground with my Tesoro Sidewinder metal detector gave quick results as the property irons were revealed. Sam’s owners were thrilled that soon they could paws and relax a bit while he safely roamed the whole yard. Giving him a treat and shaking his paw I asked if this was a promise to behave going forward….as I feel he has great pet-tential ….

….Well, anything is paw-sible!

Lost – Men’s White Gold Wedding Band – Kill Devil Hills, OBX, NC – FOUND!!

I received a text at 1pm Saturday.  A lady said her husband had lost his wedding band – on the beach – possible in the ocean.  I texted for her back and asked her to call.

Whitney called shortly after and said that her husband lost his ring.  He was almost sure he was in the surf when he lost it.  I asked the normal questions about where their chairs were and the areas they were in the ocean.  They knew the chances of finding the ring if it is in the water is much less.

I had to find it today, if I was going to, because we were forecast a tropical storm off the coast soon.  I ask Whitney if she could sing?  Her husband Justin said yes, she sings well.  I said, “We might have to have a song if I find the ring!”

I started in the dry sand hoping that he had lost it there but didn’t know it.  No such luck.  As I moved into the water, I was more intentional about covering every square inch.  Finally, I had a good hit.  I scooped but did not manage to get it.  Waves pushed me from target over and over.  I dug and dug with no luck.  I wasn’t going to give up on this.  After about 10 minutes on target, I had whatever it was.  I moved the scoop to the shore to inspect it.  It was a ring!

I went up to Whitney and said, “I really like the song, I Will Always Love You.”  Justin said, “Did you find it!”  I said maybe, do you have a picture?  As Whitney got her cell phone, I showed the ring to Justin.  Shouts of joy filled the beach!!!

Wedding ring lost while gardening, found in Port Orchard!

I was contacted by Andrew in regards to his wife Amanda’s wedding ring she lost while gardening at their rental property. They needed to find it promptly since the new tenants were due to move in soon, so as soon as I had some time to get out there… the hunt was on!

After a little confusion over what the ring was actually made of, and around an hour of searching… It was found! A lot of people lose their rings while gardening, often when it falls off in the gloves when taking them off and then it slips out of the gloves when they take a break or go in the house or garage. Also, remember if you lose a ring in this fashion, DON’T put out the yard waste for collection! It could be in the bin or the bag, you never now!

I was especially happy to find this ring since Andrew and Amanda are personal friends of mine, (CONGRATS ON THE WEDDING!) and hopefully now they will always associate me with this chapter in their lives and refer me to anyone in a similar bind!

Lost – Lady’s Silver and Gold Ring – Kill Devil Hills, NC, Outer Banks (OBX) – FOUND!!!

At about noon on Tuesday, my wife Myrna got a phone message from JoAnn.  She explained that her daughter had lost a very important ring on the beach. (Given to her by her father).

I called JoAnn.  I asked her the usual questions about if it was in the water and if she knew the general area in which it was lost.  It all sounded good.  One problem…I was in the D.C. area visiting my daughter and her family?  Normally, time is of the essence…tides, weather, birds and people…you never know what will happen.  I told JoAnn that I planned on being back by around noon on Wednesday.  She was ok with that.

We got home around 1:30 and I called JoAnn immediately and planned to meet with her shortly.  I met her on the beach, and she introduced me to her granddaughter, Sloan (owner of the ring) and her friend Clair.  They showed me the search area which was larger than I expected. (About 50 x 30 yards)

I fired up the Deus II and began a 50-yard run along the towel line.  I completed the first sweep and started about 6 ft west of the first sweep.  About halfway back I got a great hit.  I found a sterling wave ring that did not fit the description of the lost ring.  Shortly after, I found the ring in question.

As I walked back to JoAnn, she let me know that they had lost two rings.  I asked JoAnn to call Sloan because I had a few more questions.  When Sloan came back, I asked her to describe the ring more thoroughly.  As she described it, I raised it up in myhand.  When she saw it she gasped…”? You found it.”  I said I found both rings!!  🙂

Lost Engagement Ring found at South Shore Beach in Little Compton RI.

Ryan called me on May 22, frantic because she had lost her engagement ring at South Shore Beach. I was an hour away, and it was already getting late, but I told her I would meet her at the beach to look for her ring.  When I arrived, she explained that the ring fell off at the water’s edge when she was washing her hands.  She and a friend tried to find the ring, but they had no luck.  That’s when they turned to the internet for help.  I searched for her ring, but it was already getting dark, and the tide was coming in.  I couldn’t find her ring but told her I would come back the next day at low tide, which happened to be her birthday.  My wife and I set out early the next day arriving at 7 a.m., an hour before low tide.  Fortunately, I remembered the area where the ring was lost.  After making three grid passes, I dug up Ryan’s ring.  I called Ryan to tell her the good news, « Happy birthday Ryan, I found your ring! »  We made plans to meet later that day, where I was happy to return her beautiful, custom, black diamond engagement ring

Lost Ring Found in Seekonk MA.

On May 9, I received a call from Tracy.  She had lost a ring, which was a family heirloom.  Tracy explained that she had been in her car, to a restaurant, and to the site where her son was building a new house and didn’t know where she had lost the ring. Her family had helped her search for the ring, looking through her car, contacting the restaurant, and even tried with a metal detector on the new house lot, with no success.  That’s when Tracy turned to the internet where she found The Ring Finders website and contacted me.  She explained that she wasn’t sure where the ring had fallen off.  I started my search at the site of her son’s new house and located the ring 15 minutes later.  You can see from the photo that she was delighted to get the ring back.  I was so happy that I was able to reunite her with this precious heirloom.

Diamond Ring lost in Elgin, Illinois recovered

Received a call from Elgin, Illinois to look for a diamond ring in the backyard.They were no sure thats where it was lost, but it was worth a try. A newly engaged person was visiting to attend a graduation party. Among other things, a balloon throwing battle ensued. The guests had scoured the backyard to no avail.I laid out a gridline to insure that I covered the area. It worked! The guest was so distraught, she went out so she would not hear from me that I couldn’t find it. Guess what….I found it!

LOST – Men’s Gold Chain with Pendant and Silver Ring – Kill Devil Hills, Outer Banks, FOUND!!

Sunday morning, I got a Facebook Message from Jordan.  He said that while he and a friend were on the beach yesterday, he had lost his gold chain and a ring.  He couldn’t meet with me because he was at work.

I asked him about the location, and he said that it was about 75 to 100 north of the Avalon pier.  I told him that I would check it out.  When I arrived at the beach it was so crowded that I had a hard time finding a parking spot.  When I parked and went to the beach it was so packed that I couldn’t really cover the area that I thought it might be.

I decided to come back around 6pm when people would be leaving.  I covered the area Jordan told me about thoroughly.  I decided to go nearer to the pier just in case he was wrong about the location.  Just then gentleman approached me.  He said he had lost a gold chain yesterday while wrestling with his friend.  I asked, “Was it Jordan?”  He replied, “how did you know that?”

I let him know that Jordan had contacted me this morning.

He showed me an area about 20 yards from the pier that he thought they were in yesterday.  It wasn’t long until the XP Deus II fired a strong 81 and I saw the glint of a gold chain in the sand.  Randy and the friends he was with were jubilant!!

Not long after, I found the ring only a few feet away.  MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Diamond Stud earring returned to owner in Chicago.

A fellow Ringfinder received a call to look for the Diamond stud earring. He didn’t find it. I told him I could hunt with my XP Deus 1 with my HF coil at 74 kHz . He gave me the map as to where it was lost. I notched out every signal that could not be the item and found it shortly. The earring had just been given as an anniversary present 2 days before. I told her to get it insured.
