Here at TheRingFinders we don’t just find rings…We can find cell phones too, cell phones are such a lifeline in so many ways and have become so extremely expensive and they have a lot of memories such as photos and videos & Banking info. I went out the other night and happened upon two cell phones and was able to get both of them back to the owners. I have found a way through help of other members to pull the phone numbers from iPhones I find by putting the Sim card in my iPhone. There’s a way you can find the number, I have surprise quite a few people now by contacting them and saying I have found your phone. Some people just give up and get another phone, but their phone number stays the same therefore it often is a nice surprise for the people to get their original phone back. Especially at the cost of replacement nowadays, this young man was very happy to get his phone back that I found on a beach beside a fire pit. Great guy and happy to get it back to him!

Yesterday late afternoon I received a call for help from a young man who had lost his wedding band at Spanish Banks Beach in Vancouver. He sounded very upset and really really wanted me to get out there as soon as possible to help find it. I understand what these items mean to people so I jumped in my car rescheduled another search and headed to Spanish Banks.

After asking all my typical questions it sounded like it could be a relatively quick search, I’ve been fooled many times by thinking that. When I arrived I met Chris who showed me a very small area where he believe the ring had fallen, a gathering up my gear and within a minute found his beautiful ring.

It’s amazing how fast the sand can eat up a persons ring and make it near impossible to find a good medley text her and someone who knows how to use it.

This definitely made up for the last three outings where I spent over 14 hours looking for a platinum ring at Kits Beach with no luck. Unfortunately it was lost in the soft sand, but I gave it a good effort.

 

 

 

 

I was so relieved for this young man to see the ring in my scoop so quickly, sometimes it happens like that and I will take it when I get it. It was great to meet Chris and his wonderful family and to see that smile back where it belongs.

How to Find a Lost Gold Ring at White Rock Beach…

I was on a very long search at Kits Beach when I got a phone call from a young man who lost his ring at White Rock beach. I told him I couldn’t make it out there until the next day and if he could meet me there but unfortunately he was working that day but he sent me a very detailed map and I knew right away where his ring was lost.

When I went to the beach the next day the sand looked very high in that area and I knew the ring could be buried a bit deeper, I set up my grid and began my search. There really wasn’t many targets in this area which made me a bit nervous but after 45 minutes I got a great signal on my Knox 800 and I turn my cameras on and revealed the ring in its natural hiding place.

I have to say I’m as happy as the person I find the ring for when I see it in my scoop! It makes my day when you can walk onto the beach and find a ring for someone and know how that will affect them in such a positive way. I text messaged JP with a picture of his ring and moments later I got his response. Because he works so far away I dropped the ring off to his brother-in-law who lives closer to the beach.

His brother-in-law told me about the day the ring was lost and how hard they search for it, he was pretty amazed that the ring came back and he was able to get it back to JP.

I received a text message early yesterday morning in regards to a half of a gold Cartier love bracelet that was lost somewhere on Karen’s property. The young lady I went to meet told me the story that she had no idea where she lost her bracelet, it wasn’t until her housekeeper found half of Karen’s bracelet in the garden. That’s when she remembered working in the garden all day in the front and the back, the chances are the bracelet will be close to where the other one was found but we also knew it was possible it could’ve got caught up in the sleeve of her jacket and walked away to another location.

Karen wasn’t there to show me the area but her housekeeper came out and showed me exactly where she found the half of the Cartier bracelet. In my mind I thought this would be a very quick search and recovery, unfortunately it was quite the opposite. After spending several hours in the front garden area I move my search to the backyard, Karen came home and we met while I was in the backyard and she show me all the areas to search. We talked a bit more about the day she was in the yard and the possibilities of where it could be and it wasn’t till halfway through the day I realized the bracelet had been missing for over a month.

I was under the assumption it was lost only a day or two ago that made me think a bit more out of the box and you’ll see why later. After exhausting the backyard I moved back to the front yard and found a green bin full of yard trimming that was from the housekeeper the day she found the bracelet. I felt confident I was going to find the bracelet in this bin, unfortunately no such luck. Getting close to 7 hours and on my hands and knees in the garden, pulling out the recently planted plants and checking underneath in case the bracelet had fallen into the hole, this took a very long time with a lot of nails being found.

Knowing I’ve done everything I could in the garden the last thing that needed to be done was the front yard and after Karen showed me she crossed the yard to the fence and walked along the fence line I knew I had to search the whole yard. My thought process was I would see it before I even went over it with my detector because their lawn was so perfect, short grass and easy to see if something had fallen in between the blades of the grass.

I started my grid in front of the area where the other one was found but on the grass and within a minute I got a great signal and looked down but did not see the bracelet, I move the grass and moved a bit of the dirt and I saw the beautiful gold colour of her amazing Cartier bracelet. I got to tell you I was so happy to be able to find it for her, and now to surprise her, I got to meet her son who is a great young man her husband early in the morning who was working out and the housekeeper everybody was so kind and so nice and everybody was so excited to see that bracelet back where it belonged!

What I learned about this search was the fact it was lost a month ago, we had a horrible spring with lots of rain which does make sense that it was stepped on and completely buried out of sight. My lesson do not assume you’re going to see it, in actual fact it was out of sight.

Some searches are harder than others, some could take minutes, some could take hours and some could take days. This search took a hard four hours because of where this young man’s gold cross was lost. John attempted to search unsuccessfully and reached out to his father who had found TheRingFinders online and told him to call me. After hearing about the location John had lost his cross I knew it was going to be challenging, one of my first thoughts was to unscrew the wood planks from the deck and search from the top which would’ve made it so much easier, unfortunately the screws were stripped and this was not on private property it was public therefore I attacked it from underneath the structure.

For a long four hours of digging I hit pay dirt!!! I was so happy to see the gold looking back at me knowing this was going to make this young man very happy. I found out after meeting John the story of this gold cross and how it was from his late grandfather who had the same initials as John… These items that are lost with incredible stories attached to them can now be found by a group of Metal Detecting specialists on a global directory called  »TheRingFinders » over 550 members in 22 countries over $12 million returned in lost jewelry… That’s a lot of Smiles!!! Well it’s been a while since I’ve had a successful recovery, not that I haven’t tried and this one wasn’t an easy one to say the least. I got a call from a young lady who lost her wedding band and was asking to see if I could help her, we set a time and a place to meet at Spanish banks in Vancouver BC. The young lady show me the area where she believe the ring was lost and at the same time told me there was two other places it could’ve been dropped. She told me she put it in her pants pocket and while visiting a friend she took her pants off as she had shorts underneath. So this was definitely a place where her ring could’ve fallen out of her pocket.

She also told me there was a possibility it could’ve fallen out when she got out of the car, you have to take all this info into consideration but the most important thing to do was give her closure for the beach area. I spent close to 2 1/2 hours searching with no luck. I do ask many questions to make sure I’m not missing what I’m looking for, I also expand the search area. Part of me felt like she was going to find it at her friends place, when I got the text message that her and her friend could not find it I knew I had to go back to the beach and go into areas where she did not believe it could be, as we all know Murphy’s Law plays a big part in recovering peoples lost items.

I arrived the next day and was determined to search where she did not believe the ring could be the only problem was there was a lot of black sand which was really causing havoc on my machine due to the mineralization. However after 15 minutes I was able to locate her beautiful wedding band. It pays to go back sometimes just to double check and make sure you did everything you could, I’m good at thinking out of the box but even I can miss things as far as Information goes, it’s good to go where you least expect it sometimes.

It’s around 9:30 AM when I receive a call from a young man who asked if I could help him find his lost ring. I asked my standard questions and after a few minutes of talking I realized this was a bit of a long-shot, being that he did not know exactly when the ring came off his finger.

There was approximately 3 to 4 locations where he could’ve been that day after realizing the ring was no longer on his finger, one place was the beach and for me that was the only place I could search as the rest were restaurants parking lots. I decided to meet this young man quickly that morning for the fact if it was on the beach someone could find it. We met around 11 AM and talked about the search area.

Such a nice young man and after hearing his story on what the ring meant to him I so wanted to find it, he went on to tell me how much he loved his girlfriend/fiancé I knew this ring meant the world to him. He went on to Readit and posted  »I lost my ring at Stanley Park how can I find it »… Someone replied call Chris Turner from The Ring Finders and he did. The rest is history, it only took a matter of minutes to find his beautiful ring and surprise the young man, I’m very inspired how much he loves his girlfriend/fiancé and how much it meant to him to get his ring back.

This morning I received a phone call from a young lady who said her friend had lost his ring at Kits beach dog Park. They believed it was in 2 to 3 feet of water and searched as best they could but did not find it. After talking to them on the phone about the search area I knew this beach has a lot of rocks and the ring could easily sit up for somebody to see and find, so I jumped in my car and headed down right away.

The young man who lost the ring told me he was going home to dry off and drop off the dog and come back to  show me the area. The tide was going out so when I got there I had to figure out where he was and visually search the area before somebody else might spot it. As I was waiting for the him to show up I walked around eyeballing the area when I spotted his beautiful ring!

After meeting him and having him show me where he believe he lost it, I showed him where I found it.  Where i found it was much higher up the bank then he believed it would be, so it was a good thing to act fast and get there before someone else put it in their pocket.

The only reason I believe I found it higher up the drop off  was when he showed me how he threw the ball, underhand the ring possibly went across his body and behind him, just my theory.

How to find a lost ring on a Vancouver Beach

I received a phone call last night in regards to a lost ring at Spanish banks beach in Vancouver. The young lady told me the story on how she lost her ring and that her and her boyfriend spent four hours searching for it with a metal detector they bought from Canadian Tire.

When they were about to leave the beach the young lady’s mother called and said you must call TheRingFinders Chris Turner ASAP! Her mother researched online on how to find a lost ring and found TheRingFinders directly and immediately contacted her daughter.

We set up a meeting for the next morning to look for her diamond ring, I found out later it was a gift for her 21st birthday from her mother and father and she had it for less than a year and lost it, unfortunately. These things happen more than you know and the most important thing is that people have a second chance to find what they thought was lost forever.

I gathered all the information I needed and started my grid search and within 15 minutes found her beautiful diamond ring along with a big smile from her and her mother!

Got a phone call from a young man who said he had lost his white gold wedding band while visiting a little town just outside of Penticton called Granite Creek. He went on to tell me he was throwing a snowball and felts his ring come off his finger. I asked him a few questions, we discussed the search and I agreed to drive four hours up into the interior to help him find his lost ring.

I got up at 3 AM made myself 2 coffees and hit the road at 4:15 AM. I took my time as we were going to meet at 10 AM, I stopped at Manning Park and took a few photos and drone shots. This was my favourite place growing up where my father and mother took me and my brother to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

I met Devin at 10 AM and I followed him on a 30 minute drive to Granite Creek where he lost his ring, when we both parked I saw him get out and walk to the area quickly to do a once over. There was not much snow left and I asked him if it had melted and he said yes, a lot. Before I took my metal detectors out of the car we walked around and eyeballed the area just in case we could see it. I went back to my car grab my detectors and proceeded to search for his ring.

Much like everyone I have helped in the past I could sense his concern and despair, I knew he really wanted this ring back and I too was hoping I could find it for him. After around 10 minutes bingo… I found his ring under the tree covered u but just enough gold to catch my eye.

I have to tell you I get just as excited as the people I find the rings for, It was a 4 hour drive for both of us, I knew he was very hopeful as was,  because it would’ve been a very long 4 hour drive. back home if we didn’t find it.
