Lost Wedding Band Blessed by Pope Francis…Found by Ring Finder in Potomac, Maryland

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Jon’s extremely special 10 karat yellow gold classic wedding band that was blessed by Pope Francis.

A beam of happiness shines across the countenance of Jon’s face just minutes after being presented with his beloved wedding band by metal detectorist and member of THE RING FINDERS, Brian Rudolph

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

I received a call from a woman named Julia who contacted me on behalf of her husband Jon. He lost his classic yellow 14 karat gold wedding band while working out at a local Park in Potomac, Maryland. This ring was not just a sentimental piece of property that meant so very much to the couple, but it also had tremendous spiritual meaning to Jon and Julia as well. The band that was placed upon the groom’s finger, had actually been blessed by Pope Francis himself! This special keepsake was extremely unique in every regard!

Just before Jon started doing pull-ups on some play equipment, he responsibly took his ring off and placed it in his shorts pocket for safekeeping. Then, after he finished his reps, Jon went on a jog around a pond that was situated in the middle of the park. He forgot to place his wedding band back on his finger and by the time he got around to the other side of the pond, the ring had fallen out of his pocket somewhere along the path. Though the concerned gentleman searched for the missing jewel for 45 minutes or so, none of his efforts helped to recover the lost band. Jon walked home sad and shared the news with his wife Julia.

Sometime that evening, Julia decided to take to the internet and search for a solution to try to find a way to recover the one-of-a-kind ring. She eventually stumbled upon the elite international directory of metal detectorists called THE RING FINDERS. Before long, I received a call from Julia and I immediately made plans to visit the park where Jon’s « symbol of love » was lost.

With all of the information that Julia had given me, I felt pretty confident that I could attempt the recovery project without having Jon present. In fact, his wife hoped that this would turn out to be kind of a surprise for her distraught husband if I was somehow able to return it back to his finger.

As soon as I reached the play equipment, I took my metal detector out and scanned the entire area. I concluded that the ring was definitely not under any of the wood chips that surrounded the equipment. I then moved onto the path where Jon had jogged around the pond.

Because there was plenty of distance that I would have to metal detect around the body of water, it made the most sense to start from the play equipment and move counterclockwise in the direction that Jon had traveled. Every 20 yards, I detected 5 feet from the right edge of the path over to the grassy lawn area. Then, when I didn’t find the band, I backtracked and scanned 20 yards of grass (5 foot wide swings) heading back in the direction where I started detecting. When I didn’t find anything on the other side of the path, I started searching the next 20 yards of grass on either side of the concrete.

Although the project took quite a bit of time, I am delighted to share that all of my efforts proved to be most successful in the end! After metal detecting approximately 100 yards of grass (moving my coil with 5 foot wide swings back and forth) around the pond, my detector eventually gave me the target signal that I had been yearning to hear and analyze for nearly an hour and a half! In the grass, a few feet from the path, I found the precious wedding band that had been blessed by the Pope and placed upon Jon’s ring finger all those years earlier! I was beyond elated for the couple that would soon be surprised at my successful endeavors!

When I revealed my findings with Jon over by his house, the man couldn’t believe what I was able to return back to him! He truly thought the ring was gone for good! He had such disbelief about the whole matter that he studied his ring extremely carefully just to make sure that he wasn’t being set up for a huge disappointment. Thankfully, Jon realized quite quickly that what seemed to be an impossibility in ever seeing his ring again had actually become a true reality! I give thanks to the Lord for such a fantastic finish!

Lost Diamond Engagement Ring in Washington DC…Found in Toyota Corolla

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Bebe’s exquisite 14 karat white gold 2.5 carat solitaire diamond engagement ring with 2 carats worth of diamonds set in the band

Bebe excitedly showing off her most beautiful engagement ring that was presumed missing forever until ring finder Brian Rudolph came to the rescue!

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

I received a desperate call for help from John who lived in Colorado. He was calling on behalf of his fiance, Bebe, who lost her engagement ring while visiting her sister and girlfriend in Washington DC. The couple was to get married in less than 2 months. The two of them were devastated over the loss of the very sentimental and priceless jewel.

While Bebe and the others were taking photos by the Washington Monument, she realized that she was not wearing her 14 karat white gold, 2.5 carat solitaire diamond engagement ring with 2 carats worth of diamonds that were set into the band. With little panic experienced at that time (because she thought that maybe she had left the ring on the nightstand at her sister’s house), the young lady (along with her entourage) walked back to her friend’s car to see if the ring was lying near the curb on Constitution Avenue (because she remembered hearing something fall on the concrete just as she was getting out of the car when they first arrived). Unfortunately, the very sentimental and expensive keepsake was nowhere to be found. However, as I mentioned, Bebe wasn’t too concerned about it since she still thought she may not have worn the ring out of the house that day.

That night, the women searched the apartment for the missing ring and still it did not turn up anywhere. This started to worry the young bride-to-be. Then, in the middle of the night, Bebe, who couldn’t sleep at all, remembered that she had applied lotion to her hands in the backseat of the vehicle just prior to taking the walk onto the Washington Mall grounds. It was then that she began to panic. She woke her best friend up and the two of them went down to the car to check around the back seats hoping that the engagement ring ended up somewhere on the cushions or on the floor. Again, Bebe came away with nothing. It was at that point that the friends took off into the night and searched along Constitution Avenue in the vicinity of where they had originally parked the car the day before. Sadly, the bride-to-be had to call her fiance up in Colorado to let him know that the ring was gone and that it had presumably fell out of the vehicle after applying lotion in the car prior to touring the Monument grounds. John was crushed because he had spent a great deal of time searching and purchasing the diamond ring and planning how he was going to ask his sweetheart to marry him. Now, it appeared that the jewel was gone forever… until a glimmer of hope appeared…THE RING FINDERS, the elite international directory of metal detectorists.

As soon as I got the call from John who found me on THE RING FINDERS website, I instructed him to publish a Craigslist ad in the attempt to get word out to the public just in case an honest person was searching for the owner on the online website. I told him that I would not be able to get out to the site until later that evening due to having another client for the remainder of the day. So, later that evening, I drove to downtown Washington DC and searched all along the street and grassy areas between the curb and the sidewalk. Ironically, I did find a ring but it was not the one we were looking for.

After completing the search on Constitution Avenue, I called my client and let Bebe know that I didn’t find her engagement ring anywhere in the area. I advised her that it would be a good idea for me to check her girlfriend’s vehicle just to make sure that the ring did not end up in some unexpected crevice or crease in the backseat. She told me that she was pretty certain that they cleared that area when they looked back there in the middle of the night, but she said she would welcome any more support possible just to make certain that the ring wasn’t in the car.

The next morning, I met up with Bebe and her friend to inspect the Toyota Corolla. First I checked the floor and under the front seats from the rear side. The jewel was not in those places. Next, I used my endoscope to check inside and under the rear seats. I spent about 45 minutes placing the probe into various spaces and creases with the hope that I would discover the diamond ring somewhere in one of the crevices that I explored. Just as I was about to wrap up my investigation, I decided to check one more place deep down beneath the rear seat where Bebe had been sitting when she applied lotion to her hands just after taking her engagement ring off. My scope showed nothing unusual for most of the time that I was monitoring that particular spot, and then something curious appeared on my screen! The video probe picked up what looked like a piece of jewelry in the shape of a halo. After adjusting the endoscope for a few minutes just to get the right angle to see what exactly I was observing on my screen, I couldn’t believe what I had discovered! I did it! I discovered the gorgeous 4.5 carat diamond engagement ring! Apparently, the sentimental keepsake must have rolled off of Bebe’s lap when she was getting out of the vehicle and then it fell down into a hole located to the left of the seat belt lock. Most of the time, rings that are placed on laps end up coming out of the vehicle and dropping onto the concrete below. In this particular case, Bebe’s ring stayed in the car!

Once I identified where the ring was hidden, I used my special tools to grab the jewel from under the right rear passenger seat! My client and her friend were in a state of disbelief! They couldn’t believe the news that I shared with them that I had identified and recovered the missing ring! We all celebrated with a feeling of elation that I had not experienced in some time! It was just one of those moments that I will never forget! I had found the ring in a place where no one would have searched and certainly no one would have ever found it! That incredible piece of jewelry would have ended up in the salvage yard once the Toyota Corolla had its final day on the road.

Just a few minutes after I returned the ring to its rightful owner, the three of us Facetimed John and surprised the living daylights out of the depleted young man! The look on his face was incredibly memorable! He could not believe that the nightmare was over and that the presumed unrecoverable ring had been pulled from Bebe’s girlfriend’s car! He could not have been happier with the news and he looked as shocked as the rest of us were!

My client told me over and over again just how grateful she was that I never gave up when I didn’t find the missing ring downtown and that I then suggested searching the Corolla! And when I didn’t find the keepsake in the vehicle for so very long, I still did not give up the fight but I continued until that exquisite « symbol of love » was surprisingly located and recovered! I was very proud of my work that morning and I certainly will never forget this particular search!

How to Find a Lost Gold Crucifix on Soccer Field…Urbana, Maryland

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Alfredo’s 22 Karat gold crucifix that he was given when he was 10 years old (42 years earlier), recovered by detectorist Brian Rudolph.

Alfredo proudly displaying one of his most prized possessions, his yellow gold crucifix, which Brian Rudolph was able to recover from the soccer field where he had lost it almost 2 weeks earlier.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

I will never forget getting the phone call from Alfredo that one Saturday evening. He was in great distress because he could not find his 22 karat yellow gold crucifix pendant that he lost on a soccer field earlier that day. He tried everything to find it, including using a metal detector and as much help as possible from all of the other soccer players. Unfortunately, all of their efforts led to no avail.

Once Alfredo gave up after his many hours of searching, he went online later in the evening and searched on Google. He typed in the search box: metal finder. THE RING FINDERS website, an international metal detectorist directory, popped up immediately and before long Alfredo and I were talking on the phone. The gentleman made it very clear that I was his last hope and he said to me, « Brian, I need you. I need you to find my cross. » This precious keepsake was very dear to this man. It was a gift from his father when he was around 10 years old and Alfredo had worn it on his chain for over 40 years. This was something that he had to get back.

Next morning, I met my client and his son out at the soccer field located in Urbana, Maryland. Alfredo took me to the approximate location where the soccer ball had hit his chest which supposedly caused his chain to break and as a result, the cross got lost in the grass somewhere. After asking all of the questions needed to start the search, I grabbed my gear and I did a line grid across the field. Unfortunately, after a few hours, I still had not found the special piece of jewelry. I needed to pack my things up to head to another appointment, so I promised Alfredo that I would return the next day. Because it rained, we ended up scheduling the second search attempt for the following day.

On Search Day 2, I continued doing the grid search that I had started two days earlier, but I still could not find the cross anywhere on the field. I metal detected every inch of the grass for that entire half of the soccer turf, and yet I could not find any gold. I managed to search a particular hillside leading down to the field and yet I could not recover the family heirloom. Alfredo had shared with me that he put on his shoes by a set of bleachers and He also helped to move a goal from one side of the hill all the way down to where the team had been playing that past Saturday morning. With that information, I did not leave that evening without finishing most of the portion of the hill where Alfredo had been moving about. It was dark by the time I had to leave and at that point I had reached a total search time of 9 hours (total hours from 2 days earlier and this particular visit). I was pretty exhausted.

Search Day 3. Another two days went by before I could return to the soccer field to continue my search. Alfredo was very grateful that I had not given up after 9 hours of searching. I told him that I don’t give up easily, and that the cross had to be out there somewhere unless somebody had picked it up during his game. I continued my metal detecting task on the hillside. Once I finished that section and I was convinced that the cross had not fallen off in that region, it was time for me to metal detect the grassy parking lot where Alfredo had parked on that day when he lost his crucifix. It took a couple of hours to clear the parking lot area where he walked from his car over to the top of the field and I was confident that I didn’t miss Alfredo’s precious keepsake. I also checked my client’s car as well but there still was nothing to be found. Alfredo introduced me to the owner of the soccer field who also played with my client on the day that the cross went missing and he was convinced that the pendant must not have been lost on the soccer field. By the time I finished doing the parking lot, I told Alfredo and his friend that either the cross came off Alfredo’s neck before he left his house that day, or I must have missed it when metal detecting the field on Search Day 1 and 2. I immediately packed up my gear and headed for the field even though it was dark outside and I only had a little less than a half an hour to see what I could discover. Sadly, I did not come away with the gold piece of jewelry that I was looking for. I would now have to wait another five days before getting my next opportunity to search for the missing cross. I promised Alfredo that one way or another I was going to find his beloved heirloom which his father had given him so many decades earlier. By the time I finished that evening, I had done 13 hours of detecting.

Search Day 4. Five days later, I drove back to the soccer field in the early evening hours to give it my all and to start all over again right where I began over a week earlier. This time, I would change the direction of my search and do a perpendicular grid. I was encouraged by legendary detectorist and THE RING FINDERS’ founder / CEO to search from a different direction just in case the crucifix was lying on an angle, making it difficult for my detector to hit a good signal from the direction I had originally searched from. Stan Ross, another great detectorist and ring finder, felt very convinced that the cross must still be out there and for me to just keep pounding the field just in case I missed it somehow. I greatly appreciated both words of advice from the best ring finders out there!

I kept metal detecting until it started to get dark out once again. I only had one more section left to do and this was after I had cleared a considerable amount of territory already. Just as I finished the second grid line of this very last section that I was searching, I got a very good low tone signal that was in the range of what I was looking for. With my high lumens headlamp on, I knelt down on the ground and pinpointed the section where I was getting that excellent target signal. Moments later, just as I was zeroing in on where the target was, my eyes locked in on a shiny yellow colored stick that was impressed into the mud. The object was resting on a slight angle. It sure looked like gold to me! As my fingers began to pick it up, I saw a cross member section of the metal piece and instantly I knew I had found Alfredo’s very special gold cross! I almost couldn’t believe it! It had been 16 hours since I had begun the search the week earlier and I had finally discovered it almost at the point of exhausting every search section!

I couldn’t have been happier for my client! Minutes later, I would surprise the gentleman who was almost ready to give up trying to find the lost crucifix. He had only agreed to return to the soccer field because I insisted to start over again. Alfredo was beyond grateful for what I was able to finally recover from the field and he was so appreciative of the fact that I never gave up and that I constantly gave him more and more hope that we would somehow find the cross in the end. Once my client dried off most of his tears that had rolled down his face, he Facetimed his father and shared the wonderful news about that special piece of jewelry that his father had given him 42 years earlier! The elderly gentleman was extremely happy for his son’s excitement and relief!

That night, Alfredo and I drove to a restaurant and the two of us celebrated the return of one of his most priceless possessions that he had ever owned! We made several drink toasts. One, to finding the lost crucifix pendant, two, to not giving up, and three, to our new friendship that we forged together through those 16 hours of searching with the determination to never stop until we found what we were desperately looking forward. I’ll never forget that search project, nor the kindness and patience of my client, Alfredo.

Metal Detecting Service Finds Lost Gold Wedding Ring in Columbia, Maryland

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Adam’s handsome 14 karat yellow and white gold wedding band shining brightly once again after metal detectorist Brian Rudolph recovers the precious keepsake.

Adam and wife Mikaela pose for a photo capturing the exciting moment when member of THE RING FINDERS, Brian Rudolph, surprises the couple with the amazing « symbol of love »!

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

Adam and Mikaela volunteered to help with a landscaping project at their friend’s house in Columbia, Maryland. Adam gave his ring to his wife for safe keeping while he worked in the flower beds and built a retaining wall. Mikaela carefully placed her husband’s size 13 yellow and white gold wedding band in her shirt pocket. Once they got home that evening, Mikaela reached into her pocket so that she could give Adam his ring back. Unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found. The couple realized that the ring must have fallen out either at their friend’s house somewhere in the front of the house, backyard, or even perhaps it was lost in the vehicle somewhere while Mikaela was leaning over.

Over the next two and a half weeks the couple searched for several hours hoping to find the sentimental keepsake. Even some neighbors volunteered their time metal detecting the yard and flower beds but no ring was ever discovered. Finally, Adam and Mikaela went online and found THE RING FINDERS, the elite metal detectorist directory that specializes in finding lost rings and other lost items. After getting all of the details from the couple, we scheduled to meet out at their friend’s house the following day.

When I arrived at the search site, Mikaela showed me around the property. I got all of the additional information needed to conduct the search and then immediately got my gear out to begin the recovery process.

I made sure that I was thorough with my « investigation of the lost wedding band ». I searched all of the grass where Mikaela had walked, which included: the front lawn, the side lawn areas, most of the backyard, the garage and finally the long flowerbed in the front of the house.

After a couple of hours had passed, Adam and Mikaela left to go back home approximately 45 minutes away. By that point I had scanned almost all of the grassy areas. I never gave up. Finally, as nightfall came upon me, I put my headlamp on and started detecting the flower bed (which would be the last place left for me to search). Though there were so many metallic obstacles in that area of the property, I finally got a promising target located towards the very end of the long strip of well arranged mulch and beautiful plant life. It was situated in the middle of that stretch of the flower bed section and buried approximately 6 inches beneath the earth. I even had to cut through the fabric that was laid down on top of the initial dirt in order to penetrate farther below the ground.

Once I had finally reached the depth necessary to retrieve the mystery object, I grabbed a handful of dirt in that region and brought it closer in front of me. It was at that moment that I couldn’t believe my eyes! At the very last minute of my long 3 plus hour search, I finally recovered the massive white and yellow gold wedding band that had once been placed on Adam’s finger on the couple’s wedding day several years earlier! I could not have been any happier for Adam and Mikaela! I never gave up and I kept eliminating section by section until I finally struck gold!

Although it was very late at night by the time I had recovered the very handsome « symbol of love », I excitedly drove all of the way to the couple’s house and gave Adam and Mikaela the biggest surprise of their life! Yes indeed, it was a big « ring size 13 » surprise which those two lovebirds will now never forget!

Lost Rings at Linganore Winecellars in Mount Airy, Maryland…Found

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Lauren’s beautiful platinum and diamond engagement and wedding band both recovered by metal detectorist and ring finder, Brian Rudolph who is a proud member of THE RING FINDERS.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

I received a call from Brian and Lauren just after I recovered three rings for a couple somewhere else in Maryland. Lauren lost her platinum engagement ring and wedding band while picnicking with friends at Linganore Winecellars in Mount Airy, Maryland. She was changing her daughter’s diaper so she took the rings off and placed them in the grass thinking that she would immediately pick them up and put them back on her finger. Unfortunately, when she went back to find the rings, they were already buried below some of the grass. The couple and their guests looked for hours but all of their efforts led to no avail.

After finding my information on THE RING FINDERS website, Brian called me for help and I immediately headed out their way! I was excited to go to this particular venue because my daughter was getting married at the same vineyard just a few weeks later.

As soon as I arrived, I walked to the area out on the hill where they were all picnicking and waiting for THE RING HERO to rescue them from this unfortunate adversity. As soon as I got all the details as to where the diaper change took place, I got to work. Within minutes of metal detecting the entire picnic site where the friends were hanging out, I found both rings buried in the grass! Lauren and Brian were so very happy and their friends were pretty impressed as well! I was proud to be their ring hero that afternoon!

I Threw My Ring

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Kim’s yellow gold and diamond wedding band, engagement ring and anniversary ring happily recovered by member of THE RING FINDERS, Brian Rudolph

Kim’s husband Bill relieved and excited that all three very sentimental rings were successfully recovered by ring finder, Brian Rudolph

« I threw my ring ». Have you or your significant other ever declared those words after a heated argument? It’s more common than you think.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

As a professional ring finder (who is also a proud member on the elite international directory of metal detectorists called THE RING FINDERS), I hear my clients say this line quite often. They end up getting into some kind of verbal disagreement and eventually the most precious sentimental keepsakes go flying into the yard, parking lot, street or sometimes out into the water. Here is an example of such an incident.

Kim and Bill got into some kind of argument and eventually the lady took her frustrations out on her welded together yellow gold and diamond engagement ring, yellow gold and diamond wedding band and anniversary ring.

Kim opened up the front door and proceeded to throw her three rings out towards the front yard. She was so angry that she didn’t care to go looking for the rings and if her husband wanted to recover them, he would have to go out and find them himself. That’s exactly what he attempted to do.

Bill spent hours out on his front yard looking for the wedding band, engagement ring and anniversary ring that once represented so much love between the two of them. The helpless gentleman even rented a metal detector and that proved to be unsuccessful, as well. When Bill couldn’t find the rings, Kim thought that maybe the jewelry ended up on a branch in the tree since she remembered throwing the rings in that direction.

Eventually at some point, Bill went online and he found THE RING FINDERS and the metal detecting services that I provide in the Baltimore, Maryland area.

Because I have heard the words « I threw my ring(s) » or « my spouse (or fiancé) threw their ring(s) » my very first question with my client is: « Was there any tension between you and your significant other that caused the disappearance of the ring(s)? » The individual feels extremely safe with me and they immediately come out with the truth in regards to how the piece of jewelry ended up missing.

The poor guy shared everything that took place and I immediately set up a time for me to come out and help Bill find the lost rings.

Later that day, I was on the road towards Cockeysville, Maryland where the couple resided. Kim did not want to be there nor did she want anything to do with the search, so I relied completely upon her remembrance of where she threw the rings and in what direction at the time that the fight ensued.

Once I arrived, Bill showed me where his spouse was standing when she threw the rings and in what direction she believed they flew. I asked him if she mentioned how hard she threw the rings and he said that Kim did not use all of her energy to launch the poor halos.

As soon as I got off the details, I returned to my car and retrieved all of the equipment necessary to conduct my search. I laid out grid lines all along the front lawn and immediately started metal detecting the first lane that I had created.

Bill’s biggest fear was that the rings landed beyond his front lawn and ended up on the sidewalk or perhaps even the street. In that case, someone would have already found the precious metal and stones and our search would end up being all for nothing.

After scanning the first lane, I continued the search by detecting the next one. Still, there were no rings to be found. I then started on the third lane and that’s when I hit a promising target signal that was located just a few feet from the tree in the middle of the grass.

I got down on my knees to the ground and took out my pinpointer to identify exactly where the object was hiding below. I could tell instantly that whatever this piece of metal was, it was definitely hidden between the blades of grass above the dirt.

Just as I separated some of the well fertilized plant life in front of me, I could make out what appeared to be a piece of yellow gold jewelry resting a few inches below the tips of the grass line! I then instantly knew that I had found the missing rings! I could not have been more excited for Kim and of course Bill who was anxiously waiting to see what I would uncover!

Minutes later I surprised my client with the three most beautiful gold and diamond rings! He could not believe that I found the missing jewelry so quickly. He wanted to know how far away from the tree did the rings end up within the grass. I told him less than five feet from where the couple thought that the rings most likely came to rest. Bill was so in shock that he had used his rented metal detector and scanned over the same exact spots where I ended up finding the missing rings and yet he could not pull them from the lawn.

I explained to my client that experience and quality equipment is always going to be the right combination versus renting or buying a metal detector that one doesn’t know how to use properly.

A little while after I left Bill’s residence, my client had the pleasure of surprising his bride with her most precious keepsakes. His strategy in hiring me to find her lost rings most certainly scored points and healed some of the wounds that the two incurred a couple of days earlier.

This story is another example of how a bit of anxiety can cause those little halos around our fingers to end up going airborne. Hopefully you will never say the words, “I threw my ring”, but if you do, there is someone to call when checking out THE RING FINDERS directory.

Metal Detecting a Lost Gold Stud Diamond Earring in Parkton, Maryland…Found

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Glenda’s beautiful 14 karat gold 1.5 Carat diamond stud earring found by professional metal detectorist Brian Rudolph

Glenda smiles brightly as she holds her precious jewel that was lost on her friend’s lawn for four days and found by THE RING FINDERS member Brian Rudolph.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

Glenda and Rudy went to a party celebrating the 15th birthday of a young lady named Mari. It is customary in Guatemalan families to celebrate special moments in young children’s lives, including the time when a child reaches the age of sixteen or around such a time frame.

On a particular Saturday in the month of May, Glenda finished her makeup and then put on her very special set of 14 karat white gold 1.5 carat diamond earrings. She and her husband Rudy immediately left the house out the front door with her coat and scarf on and went directly into the couple’s SUV. They drove from Glen Burnie, Maryland to Parkton, Maryland (which is close to the Pennsylvania border).

When the couple arrived at their friend’s house who was throwing the party for her daughter, they got out of the SUV that was parked along the street, walked up the driveway to the front door and greeted Neela (their friend and owner of the house) along with Mari, the birthday girl.

Most of the party was celebrated under a large party tent located in the front yard of the property. Several hours into the celebration, Glenda went to the bathroom inside the house and she heard something hit the floor. It turned out to be the backing of one of the earrings that she had been wearing. The earring set was a very special Christmas gift that Glenda had received that previous holiday season and which she had waited to receive from her husband for over seventeen years.

Glenda immediately felt both ears to take inventory of the diamond studs just at the moment that the backing fell to the floor. That’s when she realized that one of her earrings was not on her ear any longer. She figured that it must have come off in the bathroom along with the stud, but unfortunately the only thing she could find was the white gold backing.

During the party, the distraught woman went looking for the large diamond stud throughout the house and outside around and within the party tent, as well. Others joined in the search including Glenda’s husband Rudy, but they couldn’t find the special keepsake anywhere. Sadly, it became a bit of a distraction at the event, but Glenda tried to keep the search as low-key as possible as to not affect the party that was still going on.

This was very upsetting to the couple. Rudy could not enjoy himself and Glenda was pretty much in the same condition. They looked all over the grass where the tent was set up and where people were sitting. In the end, nothing was found.

Even after a couple of hours of looking following the conclusion of the party, the couple had to finally go home empty handed. Glenda was determined to not give up so easily. She had to rethink what to do next and at some point the desperate woman looked online to see how she could find a stud earring in a house or on a lawn. That’s when Glenda stumbled across an article that I had written on THE RING FINDERS website about how I found a diamond stud earring and its backing out on a football field. THE RING FINDERS is an elite directory of metal detectorists around the world who find lost items for people just like Glenda.

Glenda called me three days after she could not figure out what to do about recovering the missing diamond earring. We talked for nearly an hour on the phone in order for me to acquire all of the details that I needed to understand what we were up against.

I asked her every question in the book. I was optimistic that there was a chance that I could help the poor lady She did not go to any public parking lot and get out of the car. Also, my client never opened the garbage can at any point and she didn’t think the stud would have fallen off of her ear while standing over the sink while getting ready for the party at home. Therefore, if the stud had enough gold on it to be detected with my equipment, I felt confident that we might be able to recover this jewel for my client.

Glenda said that she did not have any photos of her wearing the earrings at the party. I asked her to continue to check to see if anyone else had any pictures of her so that we could better piece together the time frame of events when the earring fell off. There was still no certainty that the earring was lost on Neela’s property at all. It could have come off of Glenda’s ear while walking to her vehicle at her house. Also, it could have come off in the SUV or while she was walking up to the property when they arrived at the party. Sometimes the backing of an earring can stay stuck to the back of the earlobe for hours following the time when the earring disengages from the ear.

The possible places where the earring could have ended up included: somewhere in Glenda’s house, her front yard, inside the SUV, on the street where Neela’s house was located, Neela’s driveway, front walkway, inside the house or out on the front lawn somewhere. There were a lot of possibilities but the bright side of the situation was that all of these places were non-public environments other than the street pavement.

After we had our long talk, the two of us agreed to meet the following day over at Neela’s house to see if I could solve the mystery of the disappearing earring. I couldn’t wait to get the search started. This would be a huge challenge for me as it is for most professional metal detectorists. Stud diamond earrings are by far the hardest pieces of jewelry to recover.

The next day, I got to the area early so I went to a restaurant nearby and I called my client and asked her additional questions. One such inquiry was whether or not Glenda had used her smartphone at some point which may have caused the earring to pop loose. She said that because the earring fell out of her left ear, she did not believe the phone would have caused the incident because she said that she holds her phone in her right hand only. This made me think that she probably put her finger through her hair and at some point she accidentally pulled on the earring which caused it to finally fall out. Because Glenda was not wearing a face mask the entire time at the event because she said everybody was vaccinated, it also ruled out the possibility that the mask strap could have knocked the jewel out of her ear.

I arrived at Neela’s house sometime around 2:45 p.m. and she showed me where Glenda had parked on the street. Then, we went along the path leading up to the front door of the house. Next, we went through the house to the bathroom where Glenda had found the backing to the earring. From there, the kind woman showed me the front lawn area where my client and her husband were primarily sitting in the tent during most of the party. Finally, I was guided over to the driveway where the food truck was parked and where Glenda and Rudy had ordered their food.

Once Glenda arrived, I did another review with her of all of the places that she walked and hung out and then I immediately started conducting the search in the bathroom area.

Earlier, I mentioned that I asked if there were any photos of Glenda wearing both earrings. She didn’t think there were any at first. However, after asking Neela inside the house, the owner of residence looked through photos that her son-in-law had taken and sure enough I noticed that there was a picture of Glenda with the earring barely seen in her left ear! This was fantastic intel! This meant that Glenda definitely came to the estate with both earrings!

I asked if the owner could call her son-in-law and ask him at what time the picture was taken. Unfortunately, the young man was on the road working and then he would be going to sleep, so we could not get that information as to what time it occurred.

In the bathroom, I used my endoscope to search every crack and corner to see if the earring slid under something or inside some unseen spot on the floor. When that checked out clean, I scanned the front walkway and the driveway, as well. Still, no earring was found.

Next, I metal detected from the end of the driveway all the way to where Glenda had parked her vehicle. There was absolutely no sign of the piece of jewelry anywhere on the asphalt.

I determined that I did not need to check the SUV because we saw in the photo that Glenda was wearing the earring at the party and she never went back into her vehicle to get anything. She did walk to the SUV to allow for someone to get something out of it but she never went inside. That’s why I checked the driveway and the area leading to her vehicle, as well.

Since there was no sign of the earring inside the house, along the walkway, driveway and the area leading to where Glenda had parked her SUV, I concluded that the most likely place where the earring had come off of her face was the front lawn. It had to be on the grass unless someone in the neighborhood found it on the pavement or a car tire tread picked it up and carried it down the street.

The last possible place for me to search was the grass. After showing Glenda, Neela and her daughters how I would conduct this part of the search, I immediately laid down my grid lanes, adjusted my metal detector to a specific setting that helps me find lost gold earrings and then began swinging my detector.

I am so excited to share that after approximately 15 minutes or so of carefully searching the front lawn, detecting two of the six grid lanes that I laid down and checking multiple target signals, I amazingly found the missing 14 karat white gold 1.5 carat diamond stud earring buried in the grass! I was beyond elated! I found it outside of the area where my client believed she would have been hanging around! I pride myself on searching « outside of the box », looking beyond the expected locations. The jewel was discovered as I was detecting on the second grid lane. I hit the perfect target signal and that’s where I ended up finding the gorgeous piece of ice! What a happy moment that was for me!

A few moments after I recovered the earring, I revealed the incredible news with Glenda, Neela and her children! None of them could believe it! Glenda went happily crazy, hugging and praising God! It was such a terrific moment for all of us! There is nothing like being able to bring such exciting news to people – sharing with them that what was thought to be lost forever was now found and safely returning to its rightful owner!

Glenda could not stop thanking me and in turn I thanked her for entrusting me with such a special search! We all gave thanks to God for answering our prayer that we started off with at the beginning of the search! Helping to solve such a mystery brought me such gratification and what a thrill it was indeed!

Glenda was extremely happy that she found me online, calling a competent detectorist listed on THE RING FINDERS directory!

I Lost My Class Ring

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Bill’s handsome 10 karat gold 1985 University of Maryland class ring that metal detectorist Brian Rudolph recovered in mess than 20 minutes!

Bill proudly holds his university « trophy » after member of THE RING FINDERS Brian Rudolph successfully recovered his treasured keepsake.

« I lost my class ring ». How many times have you heard that line? All of the time! So many class rings are lost or stolen during the years of one possessing these special mementos. So much so that some decide to decline the idea of purchasing a high school or college class ring.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

If you have lost a class ring, there is still a chance that an expert metal detectorist and or item recovery specialist can help find it for you. Contact TheRingFinders.com to find someone that can help you in your area.

Here is a story below that clearly illustrates the power of THE RING FINDERS website and how yet another person was able to be reunited with his college class ring because of professionals listed on the elite international directory of metal detectorists!

Bill of Forest Hill, Maryland was not unfamiliar with losing rings. He lost his wedding band 2 to 3 years earlier and his 1985 University of Maryland class ring had been previously lost 1 to 2 years before losing it yet again more recently.

On one particular day, the civil engineering graduate from the University of Maryland walked his 5 month old chocolate Labrador retriever from the garage over to the front walkway of his home. As Scout the puppy grabbed a stick that was offered to her mouth by its master, Bill eventually let go of the piece of tree limb and immediately he felt his class ring slide off of his finger and jettison towards the front yard.

Bill looked everywhere for his special class ring of 36 years but he could not find it anywhere on his front lawn. Since he had experience losing the same ring in the past along with his wedding band, the gentleman went to the local equipment rental center and rented a metal detector to search for the missing 10 karat yellow gold keepsake. The machine that he used was a Garrett Ace 250. There were lots of beeps and bleeps that he kept hearing from the detector and when all of his efforts failed to recover the jewel, he eventually returned the rental back to the store.

This civil engineer was not about to give up that quickly. The extremely brilliant and determined man designed a special grid out on his lawn in order to help him hunt down the class ring. He bought stakes, string and tape from the hardware store and made perfect intersecting right angles and square quadrants in order to account for every square inch of lawn that he would be detecting once again. Bill returned to the rental center one more time and rented an old Garrett Crossfire 2 to assist him on his next search attempt. Sadly, all of Bill’s efforts led to no avail. It was as if the class ring had disappeared into thin air!

When the frustrated man completed his 4th hour of searching for the ring with nothing to show for all of his efforts and time invested into the project, Bill got onto the internet and searched for another solution. That’s when he found THE RING FINDERS and that’s also when I am introduced into the story.

I really enjoyed talking with my potential client on the phone one particular night. He went through all of the details with me and I was more than happy to assist in helping to solve this mystery of the disappearance of Bill’s gold sentimental keepsake. We agreed to meet the following day.

When I arrived at my client’s lovely Forest Hill, Maryland property, Bill came over to greet me and he immediately showed off his amazing grid pattern that he designed on the front lawn. I told him that I was extremely impressed with his work. What else would you expect from a civil engineer who worked for NASA and some other very reputable companies over the years?!

Once I got completely oriented with everything, I returned back to my vehicle and got out all of the necessary gear needed to begin metal detecting. When I confirmed that the ring was definitely not inside the parameter of Bill’s search grid by scanning my machine over every grid quadrant, I then laid down my own grid lines which stretched not only wider from west to east, but also farther north to south. Experienced metal detectorists and item recovery specialists like myself will look « outside the box » just in case the ring flew farther than anticipated.

After I finished swinging my coil over the first three grid lanes that I had laid down on the lawn (approximately 20 minutes of detecting), I got a very good target signal registering on my machine. Immediately, I knelt down to investigate what the object might be. I was pretty sure it was exactly what I was looking for. Moments later, I was able to positively identify the target as being Bill’s lost yellow gold university ring!

It turned out that Bill just didn’t look far enough passed his search structure and his well-constructed grid pattern was way too short in distance and in width. I was able to recover the ring approximately 20 feet farther than where Bill had stopped searching. In total, the ring traveled over 35 feet! Like I shared earlier, metal detectorist specialists like myself have to constantly look « outside the box » and I’m sure glad that I did so for my client’s sake!

When I surprised my client with the ring, he appeared to be in complete shock! Bill was beyond thrilled that he was able to get back his very special keepsake! Even more so, he was very intrigued at how far his ring traveled from its initial take off location. He said he would have never thought to look farther as he would not have believed that the ring could have ended up so many feet away!

It just goes to show that everybody has their specific expertise. Bill was an engineer for NASA and yet he was even stumped with finding this lost piece of jewelry! He told me that he was extremely happy that he contacted my services rather than give up and spend years ahead wondering where his special graduation trophy had ended up out there somewhere on his front lawn!

In conclusion, if you want to find your long lost class ring, there is still hope. Yes, hope can be found by calling a ring finder on THE RING FINDERS website to locate a metal detectorist nearest to you!

How to Find a Lost Ring in Vehicle

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Shay’s gorgeous diamond engagement ring recovered from a 2017 Ford Escape by metal detectorist and item recovery specialist, Brian Rudolph

Shay shining her smile so brightly after item recovery specialist Brian Rudolph successfully returns to his client the very exquisite family heirloom diamond engagement ring!

How to find a lost ring in a vehicle may sound simple, but it doesn’t always turn out to be as easy as you would think it should be.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

Have you lost a ring in a car, SUV, truck or minivan and you just can’t figure out where the little guy ended up? Search no further for answers! Here is the resolution that you have been looking forward.

My advice to those trying to find their rings inside a vehicle is to check out the international directory of metal detectorists and item recovery specialists called THE RING FINDERS. An expert near you will be able to utilize tools and wisdom gained from prior experiences to help recover your lost item.

Here is an example of how I helped a young lady recover her lost engagement ring that she couldn’t find even after 5 hours of searching!

Shay lost her gorgeous 2 carat diamond engagement ring with a peek-a-boo-bridge filled with .75 carat worth of diamonds. The solitaire diamond was a family heirloom from her fiancé Stephen’s grandmother which was placed in the new setting and band specifically picked out by Shay herself.

Here is the backstory of how Shay’s ring was lost. While teaching her daughter how to drive in her 2017 Ford Escape – Titanium Edition , Shay took off her beautiful engagement ring and placed it in the center console (near the shifter) so that she could apply lotion to her dry hands. As she was in the process of putting the jewel back on her hand, it slipped through her fingers and presumably landed on the floor of the Escape. At that part of the driving lesson, Shay was in the driver seat showing her daughter some important techniques (Note: the car was not in motion when the lotion was applied).

Shay simply pulled the car over in a parking lot somewhere in order to retrieve the ring from the floor carpet beside her feet. When she got out of the vehicle to pick up her precious keepsake, it was nowhere to be found! She and her daughter looked for over five hours for the jewel and curiously they couldn’t locate its whereabouts anywhere! The two of them couldn’t believe it! It was if it magically disappeared into thin air!

When Shay told her fiancé Stephen what had happened, he was beyond upset. He was not only angry because of how expensive this engagement ring was worth, but also because of the sentimental value that the main diamond held knowing that it was a family heirloom.

The distraught young lady called and texted after finding my information on the elite international metal detectorist website directory called THE RING FINDERS. Shay read my profile and learned that I am not only a metal detectorist, but I specialize in finding lost items in very difficult places. One such search site where I have much expertise in recovering lost items happens to be in vehicles! That’s all that Shay needed to know prior to her getting in touch with me.

The two of us worked out a time for me to drive out the following evening to Shay’s Alexandria, Virginia neighborhood to conduct the search. I couldn’t wait to attempt to solve this mystery as to where my client’s beloved diamond ring had ended up.

As soon as I arrived in the parking lot where we agreed to do the recovery operation, I said a prayer with Shay, asking the Lord to help me find the missing family heirloom jewel. My client was extremely nervous and anxious to reclaim her most precious possession since it had been MIA for a couple of days.

Next, I got out of my car all of the necessary gear to conduct the search and then I immediately entered the 2017 Ford Escape from the driver’s side area where Shay had been sitting. At first, I looked at all of the obvious spots where one may just happen to have missed seeing the sought-after object, but there was no ring to be discovered anywhere in plain sight.

As soon as I was certain that we were dealing with a more complicated situation, I turned on my endoscope and began to search every crevice and corner where I could place my « video snake ». Still nothing turned up over the next 20 minutes or so of examining places under the seat, in back of the seat and around the other side of the center console (adjacent to the front passenger seat).

Because I have much experience dealing with search scenarios quite like this one, I know when it’s time to up my game and begin probing in even more unlikely spaces and gaps where a precious piece of metal and stones could possibly be hiding. I’m happy to share that when I reached the 40 minute mark of my « investigation », my endoscope picked up an image that clearly resembled the object that I was so hoping to discover! I finally found Shay’s gorgeous platinum diamond family heirloom engagement ring! It had fallen between the driver’s side seat and the center console and slipped down into the seam of the carpet where two pieces of rug perfectly overlapped each other! Somehow, the ring made its way between the two pieces and traveled under the carpet and down towards the ventilation ducts that were fastened to the metal flooring of the vehicle! There was no way that any human eye would have ever been able to identify the location of this exquisite piece of beauty with where it ended up!

I could not have been happier for my client when I was able to successfully recover the lost jewel! With the assistance of my favorite hook that I fasten to the end of my probe and then placed down below the intricate seat hardware towards the flooring, I was able to carefully pull the ring out from underneath the flooring and joyfully return it to its rightful owner! Indeed, another fantastic finish!

Shay was blown away by my skills and expertise. Her nightmare was finally over the moment I surprised her with my exciting reveal! Hiring a professional ring finder through THE RING FINDERS website was the only answer to Shay’s very difficult situation!

Now it may be your turn to reach out to an item recovery specialist like myself to solve your mystery of the disappearing ring!

Tungsten Carbide Wedding Band Lost on Sykesville, Maryland Estate…Found

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Thad’s handsome tungsten carbide wedding band found by member of THE RING FINDER’S, Brian Rudolph.

Thad shows off his most sentimental keepsake after professional metal detectorist Brian Rudolph recovered the wedding band in his client’s front yard.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

Thad called me up in the early evening hours hoping that I would be able to help him find his lost tungsten carbide wedding band. The young man found my information on the elite international metal detectorist directory called THE RING FINDERS. He had already tried searching for it for three hours with a metal detector but he still couldn’t recover the special keepsake.

My client had been married for 8 years and this ring meant the world to both he and his wife Jessica. When Thad first talked to me on the phone, he sounded like he was about to cry. Tears were welling up inside and the desperate man was literally crying out for help.

The ring was lost while Thad was hanging out in his front yard with his dog. At some point while making a certain « flicking » motion with his hand, the band presumably flew off and the rest of the story became a mystery for Thad and « Jess ».

Though I was exhausted after conducting a huge search on a soccer field in Urbana, Maryland and still knowing that I would have to pack my things and wake up early the next morning to drive to Washington DC to take a train bound for New York City, I promised Thad that I would do the search for him that night. He was so very grateful. I declared to the fellow, « I will find your ring, and you’ll be wearing it tonight ». Thad was beyond hopeful at that moment.

I arrived at Thad’s beautiful property sometime around 10:30pm at night. After gathering up my gear, Thad immediately took me over to the front yard where he showed me where he thought he lost his precious sentimental keepsake.

Once I acquired all of the necessary information about the ring and the approximate area where the wedding band most likely had been lost, I set up my grid lanes and began to detect. With my high lumens headlamp on, it took me no more than 2 minutes or so to pick up a decent target signal coming from around the third grid lane, I believe.

I knew that this had to be my client’s ring with what my detector was registering on its screen. Immediately, I knelt down, took out my pinpointer (a handheld detector) and narrowed in on the object that was hidden in the grass. Just as I used my fingers to track and identify the surface target, my eyes locked in on Thad’s tungsten carbide wedding band! It had been resting just beside a very small tree that had recently been planted by the couple. The rim of my detector’s coil barely made contact with the handsome jewel, but I was still able to successfully identify its whereabouts!

I could not have been happier for Thad and Jess! He couldn’t believe how fast I was able to recover the lost wedding ring and my client was extremely emotional filled with words of gratitude and praise!

Thad’s three hours of no success verses my successful results in ten to fifteen minutes was no competition indeed! Thad’s choice to call a professional metal detectorist to finally garner the results he was desperately looking for was certainly a no brainer!
