Tungsten Carbide Wedding Band Lost on Sykesville, Maryland Estate…Found

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Thad’s handsome tungsten carbide wedding band found by member of THE RING FINDER’S, Brian Rudolph.

Thad shows off his most sentimental keepsake after professional metal detectorist Brian Rudolph recovered the wedding band in his client’s front yard.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

Thad called me up in the early evening hours hoping that I would be able to help him find his lost tungsten carbide wedding band. The young man found my information on the elite international metal detectorist directory called THE RING FINDERS. He had already tried searching for it for three hours with a metal detector but he still couldn’t recover the special keepsake.

My client had been married for 8 years and this ring meant the world to both he and his wife Jessica. When Thad first talked to me on the phone, he sounded like he was about to cry. Tears were welling up inside and the desperate man was literally crying out for help.

The ring was lost while Thad was hanging out in his front yard with his dog. At some point while making a certain « flicking » motion with his hand, the band presumably flew off and the rest of the story became a mystery for Thad and « Jess ».

Though I was exhausted after conducting a huge search on a soccer field in Urbana, Maryland and still knowing that I would have to pack my things and wake up early the next morning to drive to Washington DC to take a train bound for New York City, I promised Thad that I would do the search for him that night. He was so very grateful. I declared to the fellow, « I will find your ring, and you’ll be wearing it tonight ». Thad was beyond hopeful at that moment.

I arrived at Thad’s beautiful property sometime around 10:30pm at night. After gathering up my gear, Thad immediately took me over to the front yard where he showed me where he thought he lost his precious sentimental keepsake.

Once I acquired all of the necessary information about the ring and the approximate area where the wedding band most likely had been lost, I set up my grid lanes and began to detect. With my high lumens headlamp on, it took me no more than 2 minutes or so to pick up a decent target signal coming from around the third grid lane, I believe.

I knew that this had to be my client’s ring with what my detector was registering on its screen. Immediately, I knelt down, took out my pinpointer (a handheld detector) and narrowed in on the object that was hidden in the grass. Just as I used my fingers to track and identify the surface target, my eyes locked in on Thad’s tungsten carbide wedding band! It had been resting just beside a very small tree that had recently been planted by the couple. The rim of my detector’s coil barely made contact with the handsome jewel, but I was still able to successfully identify its whereabouts!

I could not have been happier for Thad and Jess! He couldn’t believe how fast I was able to recover the lost wedding ring and my client was extremely emotional filled with words of gratitude and praise!

Thad’s three hours of no success verses my successful results in ten to fifteen minutes was no competition indeed! Thad’s choice to call a professional metal detectorist to finally garner the results he was desperately looking for was certainly a no brainer!

Who Finds Property Markers?

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

One of five property markers that metal detectorist Brian Rudolph identified and marked.

Member of THE RING FINDERS, Brian Rudolph, showing off one of his successful efforts in identifying 1 of 5 property markers.

Who do you call to find buried property markers? This is a very common question that many property owners ask. If you want to know who to call without calling a professional surveyor, this article may be very helpful to you.

Call Item Recovery Specialist Brian Rudolph at (301) 466-8644! He Will Find Your Buried Property Marker! Also Brian Finds Lost Items of All Kinds in Any Environment: Land, Water, Sand, Cliffs, Snow, Leaves, Houses & Vehicles!

Professional surveyors can charge anywhere between several hundred dollars all the way up to around two thousand dollars. Most people that are looking to locate the legal boundaries of their real estate usually want to put a fence up or want to make sure that their neighbor (who is building something) is staying compliant with the legal property line boundaries.

It’s rare that someone needs a legal document proving that the property markers that have been identified are truly positioned in the original spot where they were first placed by the developer. Therefore, finding a more affordable way of identifying the property markers is the goal for most homeowners.

Here is an example of someone who found an affordable way to locate the property markers on a particular parcel of land in Gainesville, Virginia.

Mary contacted me, a professional item recovery specialist in the Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia area. I was found on the elite international directory of metal detectorists called THE RING FINDERS. Instead of spending a couple of thousands of dollars, Mary thought that maybe a professional metal detectorist could get the same job done but at a cheaper price.

Mary explained to me on the phone that she had inherited a parcel of land that had been in her family for the past 70 years or so. Back in the 1950s, there was a house on this particular property where she was brought up during the years of her youth. She had many happy memories on that land. Eventually the family house burned down, leaving nothing but the memories that were made on that very special property.

Not knowing whether or not Mary was going to sell the parcel of land or possibly build a new house on the estate, my client’s first goal was to identify the borders of her piece of land. There were no disputes with any of the neighbors as to what part of the property was owned by whom. However, Mary needed to know exactly what actually belonged to her and what was owned by the neighbors. That’s where I came into the scene.

I asked Mary to send over the property plat document as well as any other paperwork that she possessed. After I studied it over, I told Mary that I would charge her a very reasonable fee for each property marker that I successfully could identify and tag. I probably saved her around $1700. Her piece of real estate was not a small one and the markers were stretched out far and wide from one another. This potentially made my job a bit more complicated, yet I was up for the challenge and I was excited about saving Mary a ton of money.

A few days later, I met Mary out at her Gainesville, Virginia propertyand within a few hours I successfully identified all five markers that were buried in the ground since the early 1950s. I used several metal detectors and a bunch of other equipment and tools to help locate the buried pins. It didn’t matter how long it took for me to find the markers since I did not charge her according to a timeframe. Since I charged my client per marker, Mary did not care how long it would take me to find what she was looking for. In the end, Mary was extremely happy that I was able to tape and tag all of the pins that were buried around her estate. She was able to see with her own eyes each and every steel item that was uncovered by my expertise!

In conclusion, if you want to save a bundle of money on having someone identify your property markers, I would suggest that you reach out to your local metal detectorist listed on THE RING FINDERS website so that they can help you in the same way that I helped my client.

Lost Range Rover Key Fob…Found in Baltimore, Maryland

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Moe’s Very Expense 2020 Range Rover Key Fob Missing for 2 Months was Found by Item Recovery Specialist Brian Rudolph!

Moe’s Wife, Pamela, Smiling from Ear to Ear After Item Recovery Specialist Brian Rudolph, Member of THE RING FINDERS, Finds Range Rover Key Fob!

Call Item Recovery Specialist Brian Rudolph at (301) 466-8644! He Will Find Your Lost Vehicle’s Key Fob along with Rings, Smartphones and Other Jewelry in All Kinds of Environments: Land, Water, Sand, Cliffs, Snow, Leaves, Houses & Vehicles!

I received a call from a young lady named Pamela who lived in in Baltimore, Maryland. She was contacting me on behalf of her husband Moe who lost his 2020 Range Rover key fob after coming home from a March Madness party nearby. After getting out of his vehicle, he made his way to the house, opened the front door with his house key and then proceeded to go into the family room where he greeted his wife and then watched TV until he fell asleep on the couch. The next morning, Moe looked everywhere for his key fob and was not able to find it anywhere. The first place he looked was his jean’s pockets, but they were completely empty. Hours upon hours went by and the poor guy could not find the fob anywhere in the house or outside on the lawn. His wife Pamela helped in the search and even she could not pull the rabbit out of its hat! The nearly brand-new Range Rover would end up sitting in the driveway for another two months before their cry for help came my way.

Pamela had contacted me because she was interested in renting a metal detector. Instead, I convinced the woman to hire me to come out to their property and help the couple find the missing key fob instead of wasting her money and time with a rental. The next day, I drove to Baltimore, Maryland where I met up with Pamela at their house. As soon as I arrived, my client greeted me and took me over to the Range Rover in the driveway. It was unlocked so I was able to search the vehicle to make sure that the remote had not been dropped somewhere under or around the front seats. I used my endoscope to search all of the corners and spaces where the naked eye would not be able to see within. Though I did not find the missing fob at that point, I did recover a gold chain that was buried under the driver side seat.

When I was certain that the electronic device was not in the vehicle, I metal detected the front lawn just in case Moe had dropped the fob as he walked across the grass leading to the front porch. Unfortunately, there was no “clicker” hidden or buried on that section of the property.

As soon as I concluded that the yard was clear of the key fob, I did a quick search of the front porch (which contained a number of things placed on top of its concrete slab). It didn’t take long for me to once again conclude that the fob was not in that location of the house. It was at that point that Pamela authorized me to search the couple’s family room where Moe had retired for the night on that dreadful March evening.

The only place that I could search in the family room was the couch and the recliner. Moe had fallen asleep on one part of the sectional couch but I didn’t find anything with my endoscope in that piece of furniture. I continued to analyze all of the other sections of the sofa, as well as the recliner, but I ended up being convinced that the very expensive Range Rover remote was not hidden anywhere in the family room furniture.

Pamela insisted that there were no other places in the home that the fob could have ended up since Moe had not gone anywhere else on the first floor upon him coming home from the party that night. We both concluded that this missing item would end up as an unsolved mystery since there were no other places for me to search.

I packed up my things in the family room and headed out of the front door towards my vehicle to retrieve my credit card payment device. Just as I opened the front door, I looked straight down towards the very left corner of the porch and immediately I could not believe what my eyes were staring at! Behind a broom, there rested on the concrete slab…the missing Range Rover key fob! I was in complete utter shock! Though I had checked the slab, I did not look behind the broomstick that was leaning up against that corner of the porch! For the past two months, that missing fob had just been sitting there in the corner right next to the front door! I couldn’t wait at that moment to share the amazing news with the bewildered wife who was not particularly happy with her husband’s absentmindedness!

After I returned back to the house once I retrieved my credit card reader, I gave Pamela the surprise of her life! She nearly fainted in her house when I revealed the amazing news that I have found the long sought after electronic item! She could not believe where I had found it! She was beyond shocked that it had been resting there on the floor of the porch just inches from the front door that the couple had been walking in and out of for the past 60 days! All that time, It had been laying there literally underneath their noses!

I made my client the happiest woman that evening and she couldn’t stop thanking me and acknowledging how wise she was to hire an item recovery specialist rather than to rent a metal detector that would have been completely useless! It turned out to be yet another fantastic finish written in the annals of my metal detecting journal pages! How sweet that evening was!

How to Find Property Markers

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Bill and Robert’s Three Out of the Four Property Markers Located by Brian Rudolph in Chantilly, Virginia (These 3 Pins Seen Here Are 3 Separate Images Combined to View all of the Targets in One Photo).

THE RING FINDERS Member and Professional Metal Detectorist Brian Rudolph Pointing to One of the Three Property Markers Found (Yellow Cap Inserted).

How to find property markers is a task that is not as easy as it seems for most home owners. One usually needs a professional surveyor or metal detectorist to help identify where the pins are located.

Call Item Recovery Specialist Brian Rudolph at (301) 466-8644! He Will Find Your Lost Property Marker! Also Brian Finds Lost Items of All Kinds in Any Environment: Land, Water, Sand, Cliffs, Snow, Leaves, Houses & Vehicles!

First of all, a property marker is a special steel pin that is inserted into the ground to mark the parameter of the property owned. This task is conducted at the time that the land is divided up into parcels. When someone wants to put up a fence in their yard, they need to know where the markers are located so that there is reassurance that they will not be placing the fence on their neighbor’s adjacent property.

Surveyors cost a lot of money to home owners when there is a need to hire someone to identify the markers that are hiding beneath the earth. The range in price can escalate anywhere from $600 up to and beyond $2000. Hiring a professional metal detectorist can prove to be much more cost efficient. However, the detectorist cannot provide official documentation certifying that the location that the pins were discovered were in fact the correct locations of the property boundaries. It will be pretty obvious to the owner of the property that when comparing the original property plat to the locations of the markers, everything checks out quite accurately. Then, there is no need to call in an official surveyor and the owner essentially saves a fortune! This is exactly what happened with Bill and Robert when I received a call from them asking for help in locating their property markers on their Chantilly, Virginia property.

Bill and Robert were planning to construct a fence on their property. They needed to know where the two pins were located in the back yard. They found me online under METAL DETECTING ADVENTURES INC (my personal metal detecting business) and on THE RING FINDERS website (the elite directory of metal detecting specialists located all over the world). The couple wanted to save a fortune and so they hired me to find their markers.

I traveled to Bill and Robert’s house and the two showed me the plat of the house and I took the search from there. In the back yard there was an old civil war rock wall that stretched throughout the back side of the houses on that street and beyond. So, it turned out to be a bit difficult to find the buried pieces of steel. Yet, I was able to successfully find three of the four pins which were more than enough property markers to conclude the exact location of the couple’s boundaries. The fourth marker was somewhere buried under the rocks that were piled up on the left rear corner of the estate, but because of my limited time, I had to stop the search for the final marker. It didn’t matter to Bill and Robert because they knew where they could build based on following the front marker all of the way to the back of the house.

Bill and Robert were so grateful for my work. They paid only a fourth of what they would have paid with a surveyor, and before long, their fence was set into place without any controversies with the adjacent neighbors!

Is finding property pins easy? Not at all. Even the best detectorist or surveyor has problems locating the exact places where the boundaries were originally set into place. Therefore, just the average home owner with a metal detector will not be able to identify the pins and they will find out sooner than later that a professional needs to be called in – just like what Bill and Robert did when they called metal detectorist, Brian Rudolph, for assistance! They were happy they did!

I Can’t Find My Ring

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Jared’s Fantastic 10 Karat White Gold Wedding Band Recovered by THE RING FINDER’S member, Brian Rudolph!

Jared Proudly Showing Off What Brian Rudolph Was Able to Accomplish in Recovering the Relieved Client’s Most Special Sentimental Keepsake!

How many people in the world do you think say this particular line: « I can’t find my ring »? It happens every minute, in every country around the world.

Call Item Recovery Specialist Brian Rudolph at (301) 466-8644! He Will Find Your Lost Keepsake in Any Environment: Land, Water, Sand, Cliffs, Snow, Leaves, Houses & Vehicles!

As sentimental, meaningful and lovely to look at, these little pieces of jewelry end up disappearing just about anywhere.

Most of the time, rings disappear outside during various types of physical activity. It also depends on the weather. If it’s very cold outside, there’s a strong possibility that the ring could slip off of a shrunken finger.

Maybe you lost a ring outside and you don’t know where it is. Check out this story and maybe it will help you with finding your lost precious keepsake.

Jared is another example of one who made that very famous statement mentioned above: « I can’t find my ring ». He looked everywhere for it and no matter how many times he went back to the places where he had been wearing his 10 karat white gold wedding band, all of his search efforts led to no avail.

Several weeks before I received a call from Jared requesting my help with finding is lost wedding band, the young man had been doing a lot of outdoor activities one weekend when he eventually noticed that his ring had disappeared off of his finger. He told me that he had been lawn mowing his Sterling, Virginia property, breaking up and bundling branches, weeding and attending to other gardening tasks.

At some point Jared went off mountain biking on a park trail not far from his residence. Little did he know that he would crash his bike as he was nearing a cable that was stretched across a trail entrance. There were no flags on the cable warning cyclists of the danger ahead and he just didn’t see what he was about to run right into.

Luckily, Jared was able to maneuver his two wheeler in such a way that he avoided hitting the cable and thankfully he only suffered minor injuries in the process. When my client realized that his wedding band was missing off of his finger sometime the next day, Jared wondered if his bike accident may have caused the special keepsake to jettison off of his finger during impact. He looked around the spot where he crashed in the park but he couldn’t find the ring anywhere. The disappointed young man took his search back to his house and checked out his entire lawn as best as he could and yet he still came up empty handed.

It was at the point when Jared said the words, « I CAN’T FIND MY RING », that he began to search online for another solution to his problem. Even though he couldn’t confirm or deny whether or not the ring was eyeballed by someone walking along the path where his bike crashed or whether or not the sentimental keepsake was lost inside his home or somewhere around the lawn, he felt that hiring a professional metal detectorist was the best chance he had to solving the mystery of the disappearing ring. Almost immediately, Jared found the elite international directory of metal detecting specialists called THE RING FINDERS and that’s about the time when I received the gentleman’s call for help.

When I arrived at Jared’s house, he showed me around his property where he had been doing lawn work. He oriented me to where he broke up sticks and piled them up on the right side of the house. Then, he took me over to where he cut the lawn in the front of the estate and then guided me around the back and pointed out where he pushed the mower. Jared even remembered a time or two during his outdoor endeavors when he picked up a couple of sticks in the grass and threw them to get them out of the way when cutting the lawn.

Next, I followed my client by car over to the park where he crashed his bike. Once I got the full story as to where the collision took place, I returned to my vehicle to gather up my gear, place it all in my wagon and shuttled everything back to the crash site. Jared returned home while I conducted the search.

I spent about an hour of time detecting around the bike path and into the woods on every side. If the wedding band had flown off at the time of the crash, there was a good chance it rocketed into the woods up to 25 feet or more. I see this kind of thing happen quite frequently with a type of collision such as this. My conclusion turned out to be that there was no sign of the ring anywhere in that area and either someone eyeballed the jewel soon after Jared walked away from the scene or it didn’t come off until later on when the young man was working outside on the lawn that rest of the weekend.

After I packed up all of my metal detecting gear, I returned back to Jared’s home to start the second leg of my search. First, I detected the front right side of the lawn and swung my coil back and forth parallel with Jared’s drive way. Nothing of interest was found.

Next, for my second leg of the search mission, I moved farther up the property towards the pile of sticks that my client had pointed out when I had initially arrived to inspect the yard. Visibly nothing grabbed my attention. However, just as I swung the detector over the mound of wood, I got a very promising tone! Immediately I moved a few sticks out of the way to gain better access to whatever object was resting beneath the pile of branches.

Just as I began to scan over the ground with my machine (but much closer this time to the object than during my first attempt), the target sounded loud and clear in my headphones. The signal came up in the digital number range that matched a men’s wedding band. I then knelt down to the ground to use my pinpointer to zero-in on the object and that’s when my eyes beheld a very handsome 10 karat white gold wedding band settled between some grass blades below a few random sticks that were resting on top of the very sentimental keepsake! I was so thrilled!

Knowing that Jared and Sarah had no idea where the ring could have been lost and knowing it was a much more likely that my client lost the band out in the park during his bike incident, there was less hope in my mind that the ring would be found on the couple’s yard! Yet, in the end, that truly wasn’t the case at all! Jared’s white gold ring was in fact hiding under those sticks the entire time!

I couldn’t wait to surprise Jared shortly after discovering the location of the lost treasure! My client was beyond excited when he saw his most sentimental keepsake being presented back to him! Jared was extremely happy that he contacted THE RING FINDER’S website and ultimately brought me on board to help search and successfully recover his beloved « symbol of love »!

If you are like Jared and you happened to say the same line, « I can’t find my ring » – be encouraged… there’s someone out there that can help find it for you!

Should I Rent a Metal Detector?

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Charles’ Handsome Classic 14 Karat Gold Wedding Band Shining Bright Once Again After The Ring Finder Member Brian Rudolph Recovered the Special Keepsake in Baltimore, Maryland

A Smiling Face Returns to Charles’ Face as He Holds His Most Prized Sentimental Possession Following its Successful Recovery by Ring Finder Brian Rudolph!

Should I rent a metal detector? That question is asked by thousands of people every year throughout the world. The answer as to whether someone should spend their hard earned money on these borrowed machines is found in this story below.

Call Item Recovery Specialist Brian Rudolph at (301) 466-8644! He Will Find Your Lost Keepsake in Any Environment: Land, Water, Sand, Cliffs, Snow, Leaves, Houses & Vehicles!

Charles called me on the phone with the hope that I could help him find his wedding band. He was only married for three years and his 14 karat yellow gold classic wedding band meant the world to the gentleman.

Charles didn’t know where he lost the extremely sentimental keepsake. His best guess was that it went missing when he was mowing a large section of commercial real estate for an old Baltimore, Maryland friend who’s health was declining. He had cut this particular piece of property for nearly 30 years as a personal favor for his old pal.

During his time working in the grass, Charles would pull clumps of trimmings that accumulated around the blade underneath the mower. He remembered that he didn’t use gloves at various times when he stopped cutting to unclog the machine. Those were the suspected moments when he thought maybe the ring had slipped off of his finger. Also, he said that he could have lost the wedding band when he went to the hardware store to buy some things before heading back to his Silver Spring, Maryland home. Lastly, Charles wasn’t even confident that he hadn’t lost the irreplaceable jewel somewhere in his house! Therefore, the band could have been lost just about anywhere.

You could say that helping this dear elderly gentleman find his keepsake was somewhat of a long shot. After I heard that my client had rented a high quality metal detector and that he unsuccessfully searched the areas where the grass trimmings were pulled from the mower and left on the lawn, I really wasn’t certain that there was much hope in recovering Charles’ « halo of love ». However, I quickly switched attitudes as I reminded myself of a few important points.

Charles may not have found the ring because:

1. Each metal detector has its unique capabilities. Perhaps the rented machine was not able to pick up the ring’s signal.

2. Just because someone rents a metal detector doesn’t mean they will know how to use it.

3. Renting a metal detector limits your search time because one doesn’t want to pay for too many additional days of rental fees. As a result, the search is rushed and many times people miss their sought after target because they were detecting in haste.

Those are 3 reasons why one should not rent a metal detector and instead do what Charles did – hire a professional metal detectorist.

Once I got all of the details about my client’s situation, I set up a time for me to meet Charles out at the search site and see if I could solve this mystery myself. The following day we both traveled nearly an hour to Baltimore, Maryland where I conducted the « investigation ».

My client walked me over to the fairly decent sized plot of land and he showed me exactly where he pulled out all of the clumps of grass trimmings from the bottom section of the lawnmower. I could still see the piles of all of that grass just lying around that area of the property.

Next, I took out my metal detecting equipment and began my first grid line over the area where Charles remembered cleaning out the machine. I believe I was half way across my second pass of the 20 foot by 15 foot section that I started to grid when a fabulous signal could be heard in the headphones and seen on my detector screen.

I immediately knelt down on the grass and used my handheld pinpointer to identify exactly where this particular piece of metal was hiding under all of the blades of green. Then, once I knew for certain where the object had settled, I placed my fingers down below to grab a hold of the mystery item and there I saw its beautiful color! It was gold! Then a circular shape appeared! It was hollow! I found Charles’ beloved classic 14 karat yellow gold wedding band! It had been buried in the grass all of that time and Charles just didn’t pick up the signal or didn’t scan far enough away from the main piles of grass clippings when he utilized the rented machine!

I couldn’t be happier for the retired gentleman. This ring meant so very much to him and to his newlywed bride of only three years! It was a new beginning for him to get married in his latter years and so losing the ring was a real blow to both he and his wife. The couple had another chance to enjoy this precious reflection of their special day of holy matrimony now that I (a professional metal detectorist and proud member of THE RING FINDERS) was able to recover such a priceless « symbol of love »!

When I surprised Charles with the ring he couldn’t contain himself! He was in utter shock! My client’s emotional expressions of amazement and happiness were off the charts! We hugged and thanked the Lord for helping us find what meant so much to Charles and his wife!

So, why rent a metal detector? I wouldn’t waste your time or your money.

Hire a professional metal detectorist.

A professional detectorist (especially a ring finder specialist from the international directory of metal detectorists called THE RING FINDERS):

1. Is familiar with the target signal he is looking for

2. Knows how to use his own equipment

3. Knows how to search everywhere (not just in the obvious places)

3. Owns better equipment than the rentals

4. Will save you time and money in the end

I hope this article helped to answer the question that so many distressed people like Charles ask every day:

Should I rent a metal detector?

Best Affordable Metal Detector

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Cory’s Handsome Platinum Wedding Band Recovered After the Client Decided NOT to Buy a Metal Detector and Instead Hire a Member of the THE RING FINDERS!

A Happy Smile Filled With Relief Now That Cory Again Holds His Cherished « Symbol of Love » the Moment Metal Detectorist Brian Rudolph Found the Jewel and Returned it to His Baltimore, Maryland Client!

The best affordable metal detector does exist, but you are probably not expecting what I’m about to suggest that you invest in. A lot of people I know buy cheap Amazon knock off brand detectors and they end up being useless. Others purchase machines that are made by reputable companies such as Minelab, XP and Garrett. However, those detectors cost a pretty penny when all they really want to do is to find their missing ring or other piece of jewelry.

So what do I suggest? Don’t waste your money on buying any metal detector purchase or even laying down money on a rental. Check out the international metal detectorist directory called THE RING FINDERS and contact a local specialist near you to help you find the lost item (like a ring) that you are searching for. This decision will help you avoid wasting your hard earned money on something that you don’t know how to use and something that you will probably never use again.

Call Item Recovery Specialist Brian Rudolph at (301) 466-8644! He Will Find Your Lost Keepsake in Any Environment: Land, Water, Sand, Cliffs, Snow, Leaves, Houses & Vehicles!

Cory is the perfect example of someone who decided to not go the route of purchasing a metal detector. After losing his beloved platinum wedding band (which he wasn’t sure if it disappeared within or outside his Baltimore, Maryland house) Cory looked everywhere for the precious keepsake. Unfortunately, all of his efforts led to no avail. He could not find the ring anywhere. Even though he checked several rooms inside of his place, Cory was pretty sure that he must have lost it while gardening in the front yard.

Next, the desperate young man looked online to see what his options were in regards to buying a metal detector. He needed a quick resolution to his problem because he was moving from his residence in a matter of days. That’s why he was doing all of that gardening work outside. He was making things look presentable for the next owner. It was only after Cory realized that he knew nothing about using a metal detector that he decided to look at other options. Well, the only alternative to buying or renting a metal detector was to hire a professional metal detecting specialist! That’s when I came into the picture.

I received a call from Cory shortly after he found information online regarding THE RING FINDERS. The gentleman was quite excited to put his concern for finding the ring into the hands of a professional. As I shared above, he didn’t even know whether he lost it outside or possibly inside the house. To buy or rent a detector could have been a big waste of money and time for the Baltimore resident.

Cory told me that he had a hunch that the wedding band was somewhere in the front yard. It was only after several hours of searching under and around the front hedges where he had been gardening (without a metal detector) that he knew he needed greater assistance. I told him not to fear and that I, The Ring Hero would soon be there!

Later that night, I showed up with all of my finest quality metal detecting gear to help Cory recover his lost special piece of platinum. The average person who is not serious about metal detecting would never spend the kind of money on such technology that I have acquired. When hiring a ring finder, the client is not only obtaining the best equipment on the market, but he or she is also teaming up with an experienced metal detectorist who knows what signals and tones they are looking for to take them to the lost item. And that is exactly what I did for my client!

Even though it was night time and dark outside, I used my high lumens headlamp while I began to scan the area in the front yard where Cory had been doing the gardening and weeding. His neighbor walked outside of his front porch while having a smoke and watched me make magic! In less than 30 seconds or so, I got the perfect signal for a men’s platinum wedding band. Because I am so familiar with just the right target numbers for such a ring, I was almost 100% confident that I had already found Cory’s beloved sentimental symbol of love! I knelt down on the ground and pulled out my handheld metal detector that is used for pinpointing the exact spot where the larger metal detector picked up the signal. As I got it into position, the pinpointer sounded off and I knew precisely where the object rested below the blades of grass. Finally, I used my fingers to separate the plant life and there it was – Cory’s handsome platinum wedding band that his wife had placed upon his finger only a short time in the past! I was quite excited to show off my incredible results with my client just after he came back from being inside the house!

Both Cory and his neighbor were both blown away by my ability to quickly scan the area in question and effectively and successfully recover the young man’s most cherished materially possession! My client was beyond excited and extremely happy that he went in the direction of requesting my services rather than throwing lots of cash or credit down the drain! The young man got his ring back that night just prior to permanently leaving his house to move on to the next one. Just days later he would end up shutting the front door to his residence and turning the key with the very hand that once again held his priceless circle of love!

The lesson to learn: The best affordable detector you can acquire is the one owned by a professional metal detecting specialist who will do the work himself and save you all that unnecessary grief and expense which Cory was smart enough to avoid.

Do Metal Detectors Find Platinum Rings?

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Sarah’s Beautiful Platinum Infinity Diamond Wedding Band Sparkling Bright Once Again After Ring Finder Brian Rudolph Recovers the Young Lady’s Precious Keepsake from the Arlington, Virginia Lawn!

Jason and Sarah Celebrating the Success Story of the Return of their Lost Platinum Infinity Diamond Wedding Band Thanks to THE RING FINDER’S Member Brian Rudolph!

To answer the question as to whether or not a metal detector can find platinum rings, one should gain knowledge about the subject from a professional detectorist.

Call Item Recovery Specialist Brian Rudolph at (301) 466-8644! He Will Find Your Lost Keepsake in Any Environment: Land, Water, Sand, Cliffs, Snow, Leaves, Houses & Vehicles!

A detectorist is someone who uses a metal detector to find items made of metal that are either buried in the earth or laying on the surface of the ground. I happen to be a professional metal detectorist and item recovery specialist who helps people be reunited with their lost items of value. This may include a ring, family heirloom, smartphone, set of keys or even buried treasure. Many of my clients try using a metal detector prior to calling me for help. Once they fail at finding their target, they become desperate and begin searching the internet for a solution to their problem. Most of the time they end up finding the elite international directory of metal detectorists called THE RING FINDERS which helps people find a detectorist in their local area who specialize in finding lost rings and other items. I am one of those unique ring finders. Next, they contact one of us by phone and we become their best shot at recovering their lost item of value.

So, does a metal detector really find lost platinum rings? The answer that I will give is summed up in this ring search story below. I received a call from a young lady named Sarah who was doing some yard work on the side of her lovely Arlington, Virginia house while her child played nearby. At some point she decided to take off her platinum infinity diamond wedding band so as not to lose it during the gardening project. As Sarah was walking towards the house to put the ring in a safe place, she held the band in her hand and unfortunately her most precious keepsake slipped from between her fingers and disappeared into the grass. The distraught woman did not know where and at what moment the wedding band dropped below. Sarah was only certain that she had possession of the jewel while walking with it towards the side porch door and that it had to be somewhere on the lawn.

The couple searched everywhere for the lost ring and sadly nothing turned up. They even borrowed a metal detector from a friend and scanned the yard as best as they could and still all of their efforts led to no avail. At some point, the very one who lost the diamond infinity band got desperate to come up with an answer to this deeply distressing situation and immediately went online to seek help. Sarah couldn’t bear watching her poor husband endlessly search for the lost ring with his machine in hand and with no positive results. She came to the conclusion: One, Jason wasn’t experienced enough with the detector. Two, the device wasn’t capable of finding this particular petite piece of jewelry. And three, her husband just wasn’t experienced enough as a ring finder to tackle the territory effectively enough to discover the lost treasure from their property. These are three most common reasons why people call professional ring finders instead of continuing their struggle to find their precious item on their own. Finding a platinum piece of metal has a lot to do with all of the factors that I listed above, which is the very reason that Sarah finally called on a pro from THE RING FINDERS directory!

Later that same day, after going through all of the details on the phone, I visited Sarah and Jason’s beautiful property in Arlington, Virginia. The young lady showed me the yard and I was extremely complimentary of their thick, plush grass. Anything could have disappeared for good in that well cared for lawn! Once I got all of the facts, I returned to the car and got all of my gear out to begin the search.

The first thing I did was to lay down grid tape lines across the yard. This way I could stay in perfect formation as I swung my detector across the property. As I started the process of looking for the missing wedding band, I shared with Sarah some of the details of what I was doing and how I was going about finding her most precious keepsake. Jason arrived back at the house sometime after I began scanning the lawn and he too took some interest in how a hired professional recovers lost platinum and diamond items such as with this particular ring.

After about 15 minutes or so, as I was about halfway across the lawn, I got the perfect signal on the detector. It was exactly the VDI (visual display indicator) number and tone that I was looking for! I I’m so experienced with finding lost platinum rings and other items like this one that it’s kind of like speaking and hearing a language with the machines I operate. When I came across this particular target, I knew that this would end up being Sarah’s lost wedding band! I knelt down on the ground and used my pinpointer to isolate the exact place where the unidentified piece of metal was hiding. Then, as I reached down and spread apart a clump of grass blades to see what I had uncovered, there it was, Sarah’s beautiful platinum diamond wedding ring! It was quite a beautiful sight indeed!

The couple was so excited that I had found the jewel and they were completely relieved that their cherished item would not be permanently lost out there in their yard! By hiring me to recover the ring, Sarah and Jason learned (as many others have as well) that calling in a professional ring finder was the best decision they could ever make! We the specialists know how to use high quality metal detectors, we know the target signals that we are searching for and we implement the best strategy possible to recover that which is lost.

So, do metal detectors find platinum rings? Of course they do! As long as it’s quality matches the need, as long as the user is experienced, and as long as the one utilizing the machine wisely hunts for the lost item like one of us professionals listed on the THE RING FINDERS directory!

This is a special ring story to share because it has to do with young love, drama, mystery, hope, adversity, perseverance and lastly…redemption! I received a text message at 12:55 am from a young lady named Trinity who was desirous of recovering her lost promise ring. This is what she texted: « Hello this is Trinity. I lost a ring about 2 years ago that I got from my husband (then boyfriend) when we had first started. My husband doesn’t want me to keep trying to find the ring. But every time I think of it I feel guilty I lost it and I grow to love it more and more. I’m aching to get it back. I know it’s been awhile. So it’s not high chances but I wanted to discuss details with you to see how bad you think it will be to find it. » When I woke up that morning I immediately responded: « Hello Trinity, Thank you for contacting me. I would love to help. When can we discuss the details of its disappearance?” We talked later that morning on the phone and here is the backstory regarding how the ring got lost and what Trinity did to try to find her special keepsake:

A couple of years earlier while Trinity was attending Potomac Falls High School in Cascades, Virginia (near Sterling), she fell in love with Francisco who gave her a gold plated promise ring. It meant everything to her. Four months after Trinity received the special jewel, tension befell the couple. Something majorly challenging happened between them. The young lady was so hurt that once the final school bell sounded throughout the halls, Trinity stormed out of the school building, made her way over to her car, took her promise ring off of her finger and while standing in the middle of the student parking lot, she threw the keepsake towards a wooded area. The heated girl believed she heard the ring hit the parking lot pavement or curb before it disappeared. She was hoping that the promise ring ended up in the woods rather than it ricocheting back onto the concrete where it eventually would be found by someone else. Trinity thought she may have heard the ring hit some leaves which gave her some hope that her “symbol of love” was still quite accessible. Though the young lady was quite angry, she still hoped that the ring had cleared the woods and that it didn’t end up where someone could pocket it.

A week or so later, when things cooled down between the couple, Trinity had feelings of regret for throwing the ring. She rented a metal detector and searched for six hours in the woods hoping to find her precious symbol of promise. Unfortunately, Trinity wasn’t able to find her ever so important “symbol of promise”. There were several obstacles that the young girl faced which made it nearly impossible for her to find what she was looking for. One, it was possible that the ring never made it into the woods and that someone had already picked it up off of the parking lot asphalt. Two, Trinity lacked experience with metal detecting. Three, there was tons of trash scattered on and beneath the leaves which made it extremely difficult for her to make any sense out of all of the beeps and bleeps she was hearing and seeing on her machine. Lastly, there was a large area of dense thorn bushes and bramble covering a significant portion of territory where the ring could have ended up, and so Trinity stayed away from that particular danger zone for obvious reasons.

On the brighter side of things, time marched on and the couple eventually got married after finishing high school. As the years progressed, Trinity felt guilty for throwing the promise ring and she thought about it quite often. Now that she was wearing her wedding band, she so desired to possess the entire love story represented partially by the promise ring that her once high school sweetheart Francisco had given her. It kept bothering her that she didn’t even have that special piece of jewelry for more than a third of that year. In addition to that, the guilt and regret kept eating her up inside.

Trinity eventually searched online for new ideas as to how she might be able to find her ring (if it was still somewhere out there). That’s when THE RING FINDERS website popped up. Trinity couldn’t wait until later that morning to contact me! That’s when she sent me that after midnight text message! As I indicated above, the two of us talked later that morning on the phone. Trinity shared with me that her husband was in doubt that the ring could ever be recovered and encouraged Trinity to move on. Yet, after reading many of my successful ring stories and testimonials from my happy clients, she felt very confident that if the ring was still out there, I was her guy to find it!

After talking with Trinity and asking her every question imaginable, I expressed to her that I was confident that there was a good chance we could recover this ring. During that conversation, there was no mention of the jewel hitting the pavement before she believed it made it to the woods. I would discover that vital part of the account upon meeting her at the search location. That would have concerned me from the start but it still would not have deterred me from trying to recover the item. The facts that made me feel good about my chances of success had to do with what Trinity shared with me:

One, she threw it towards the grass and the woods (I did not know about the trees and thorns until I arrived at the search site). Two, the ring was a small petite size of 4.5 or 4.75. I didn’t know that the ring was a very thick wedding band style type which therefore could have easily been eyeballed if it was out in public on the grassy area completely exposed. Three, when the ring was thrown, it was in the season of Fall which was positive because the ring could have ended up under some leaves and became camouflaged from being seen by anyone walking by. Also with the gold being the color yellow, it would blend nicely into the aged leaves settling onto the ground. Four, no one else specifically took notice of what had transpired when Trinity had thrown the ring, but others just knew that something bad had taken place between she and her boyfriend when the angry girl stormed across the parking lot. There were a few positive pieces of information to lean upon with this search and I looked forward to checking the site out as soon as Trinity would be back in touch with me.

Another day went by and I had not heard from my potential client so I texted Trinity once again: « Good morning Trinity, it was a pleasure talking with you the other day. Let me know if I can be of assistance to you in the recovery of your beloved promise ring. All the best and have a wonderful day! Brian Rudolph / The Ring Finders ». Trinity responded: « Oh yes please! I spoke to my husband… and he too is interested if you can find it! »

Another week went by and I didn’t hear anything else from Trinity and so I thought that maybe she decided to let the search idea go by the wayside. Then, out of the blue, a few days later I heard back from her! We then set up the search date and time to meet over at her old high school parking lot.

During my first trip out to Potomac Falls High School, it was pretty cold outside. I wore some heavy winter gear and met my client out by the parking lot near the place where she threw the ring nearly two years earlier. Trinity showed me where she was standing in the middle of the parking lot, approximately 30 feet or so away from the edge of the curb. Then, above the concrete the lawn began and it gradually dipped down to where the woods began. The young lady wasn’t sure exactly where the ring hit the asphalt but she believed it bounced off of the pavement somewhere and hoped that it landed in the woods. As I shared earlier, Trinity believed that she may have heard it settle onto some leaves or something. In the next couple of weeks following that first search attempt, I asked my client why she thought she heard the ring hit the leaves in the woods knowing how angry she was at the time. Most people would not have had such self control and sensitivity to be so attuned to her surroundings at such an emotional state. The young lady was pretty confident that at that time she wanted to make sure that the ring was not in public site.

When I got all of the details that I needed to start the search, I said a prayer with Trinity, asking the Lord to bless our time in seeking to recover the lost ring. Then, I gathered my gear and began the hunt. Trinity remained in her car where it was warm. She read her book as well as took interest with what I was doing from time to time. When I dug up a target I would hold it up and show her what I had found. There was so much trash that after awhile my client’s interest faded and she focused more on the pages in front of her than the many pull tabs, bottle caps, coins and much scrap pieces of various types of metal that I constantly unearthed and waved in her direction.

Every 20 to 30 seconds I was back down on the ground detecting another shallow signal that was just below the surface. As I moved leaves out of the way there would be various pieces of trash made primarily out of aluminum. I found aluminum foil, beer cans, soda cans, condom wrappers, marijuana joint wraps, aluminum wrappers, ketchup packets, other products made from aluminum foil that wrapped up food items at one time, a shotgun shell, and much more.

I would search for nearly three and a half hours that morning into early afternoon. At some point I needed to wrap up the search to get to my next client. I encouraged her that this was just all part of the process of elimination. Even though I didn’t find the ring, I could at least know where the ring was not. The question was whether or not the band had been seen by anyone else if it never reached the woods. I would not know that answer unless I continued forward the next time I returned.

I encouraged Trinity that we covered a lot of square footage and removed a tremendous amount of trash for one search visit. Before we parted, I showed her all of the sections that I searched and what areas I would scan on the next trip out. I told my client that I would leave all of the thorn bushes and bramble untouched until we concluded that the ring was nowhere else in the woods. At least I was able to conclude one thing – the ring was not on the grassy areas which covered approximately 7 feet in depth from the curb, down the small hill and out towards the woods. The grid I conducted was stretched 70 feet from left to right. When I would start back up again on my next search attempt, I would be tackling only sections of the ground that contained leaves, dirt and lots more trash. A few minutes after we both said our goodbyes and drove away from the high school parking lot, I texted Trinity: « Hang in there Trinity! We got this! We will definitely find it for you soon enough! As I said to you, I will text you later with my availability this week. All of the best to you on this Sunday!” She texted back: « Thank you! Have a good Sunday. »

The next day, I texted Trinity my schedule and let her know that I could make it out that Thursday. I shared with her that she could fully trust me if she was not able to be present for Part Two of the search. I said, « Even if you are not able to be there, I assure you that you can feel comfortable knowing that your beloved ring will be returned to you should I find it out there in the woods! » She texted back, « Yeah it’s all good, I trust you. Thursday I will be preoccupied but you can keep searching without me. » I responded, « Oh wonderful! Thank you Trinity! You can trust me 100%. I mean this when I say that I am the only one capable of finding your beloved promise ring due to the fact that I’m the only one with so much « OCD » (LOL) to go through the trash piece by piece in that amount of area. The ring could have bounced much farther if it ricocheted off of the curb. So I’m your best bet and I hope I can make a story out of this for us! » Trinity responded, « Yes that would be wonderful! Thank you. »

Thursday arrived and it was pouring rain outside as I drove to the search site. I decided to keep moving and not cancel just in case the rain would slow down. Thank goodness it did. From 9:30 am to 12:30 pm I continued the search, pulling out more trash and covering the wooded area that was most reasonable to search. I may have detected about 35 to 40 feet into the woods and stretching 70 feet from left to right. I used specialized grid tapes to organize the entire operation so not to miss a single square inch. I covered so much territory that when I was done, there was no other real estate left for me to search except for the wooded areas that were confined by a huge amount of bramble and thorn vines that stretched to nearly 8 to 10 feet in the air (Yes, you read it correctly! From the ground towards the sky it was approximately between 8 to 10 feet high) and stretched across for nearly 50 feet from left to right. There was literally an entire mini forest filled with long and windy thorn branches as sharp and dangerous as knives!

When I was done with the second search attempt, I sent a picture of all of the trash that I had found out in the woods and I let Trinity know that I still had not found her beloved promise ring. Later that day I again sent another text message letting her know that I would be planning to come out the following Monday: « Hi Trinity, I wanted to let you know I am planning to come out Monday to continue the search and I’m going to need to cut all of the thorn branches down in order for me to get into that area where that huge forest of thorns exists! I have an electric trimmer that should cut everything down. I will let you know what time I plan to be out there. I’m pretty sure Monday will work. » I did not hear back from her at all and I wondered if she had already started giving up hope that she would ever see her priceless promise ring ever again.

Unfortunately, when the next Monday came, the weather was not kind to me at all. I had to cancel the search and schedule my trip back to Virginia a couple of days later (which would be Wednesday). Again, sadly to say, it happened once more. The skies opened up and once again I was forced to postpone the continuation of the project. Just like with all of the other times, I texted Trinity and informed her that I would schedule my next trip to the site on the upcoming Monday for Part Three of the search.

It had been 11 days since I had last heard back from Trinity during our back and forth correspondence via text messaging. I still had not received any responses from Trinity which again made me more convinced that my client had given up all hope that her ring would ever be recovered. I concluded this when I didn’t hear from her anymore. Yet, as far as I was concerned, I was still determined to complete what I had started and continue to give it my all.

When the day finally came for me to resume the search and begin Part Three of the extremely tedious project, as always, I let my client know that I had arrived and was preparing for the search. I texted her: « Call me if you want to chat as I get my gear out. My first mission is to chop down all of that thick thorn activity. » Even after that correspondence I still did not hear back from Trinity.

I began my search with prayer as I did with the young lady on my first visit out. Then, it was time to use my lithium battery operated hedge trimmer to cut the first of many large sections of thorn bushes and coverings to gain further access into the woods and closer to the ground to be able to continue metal detecting for the little “symbol of promise”. The thorn bramble stalks were so thick that I had to literally push the already trimmed bundles out of the way with my cutting “war machine” arsenal because the thorns were so high off the ground and I needed to get the detector coil farther below the mess in order to obtain accurate signals. As I shared earlier in the story, the growth was something I had never seen before! The thorn branches extended from the ground straight up in the air and entangled its web around tree limbs that had to be at least 10 feet up from the earth! The overgrowth was so dense that there was even a bird’s nest built to perfection with a security system that made it nearly impossible for the rest of that natural environment to penetrate!

Once I finished cutting down a considerable section of enemy territory, I pushed, wacked, and carefully carried much of the bulk of bramble piles out of the detection zone so as to further my investigation. Next, I continued to metal detect until I would run out of real estate once again. During that long and laborious process, I scanned lots more trash under the leaves that rested below their protective bramble-made shield. Every 30 seconds or so I would pick up a new target signal, stop to investigate, unearth the target with my hand digger, deposit the trash into my bag, pick up my machine again and resume detecting some more. It was a start, stop, and then start-up all over again process!

After I cut down that first large section of thorns and eventually finished scanning every square inch of that portion of ground (all to come up with nothing of importance), I again found myself wielding the heavy green and black Ryobi hedge trimmer, attacking the enemy before me like a Rambo type mercenary in the deep dense forest! While I was doing all of that work, I heard some opposing thoughts that constantly whispered into my ear: ‘What if all of this tedious and tough labor is all for nothing?” What if the ring never even made it into the woods and I am cutting, digging and detecting for absolutely zero to be recovered?’ Regardless of those inner reality remarks of doubt, I pushed on and continued the search with great perseverance.

Once again, I picked up my metal detector and began to search all over the second cleared area where the ‘throne of thorns’ held much of that real estate hostage for years upon years. I sadly concluded that the ring was still nowhere to be found in that zone. With much resilience, I picked up the trimmer after taking a break and did yet another large section of cutting so that I could get even farther into the woods and search more area below. As soon as I cleared that third large section of territory, I knew that this would have to be my final area to investigate. There was just way too much overgrowth to continue any further. It was getting to that point where I could not see an end to all of the madness! The bramble was everywhere and weaved itself around everything! The thorn ‘hives’ and coverings stretched another 30 feet into the woods and even farther over to the left. I felt that what I had cleared up to that point was suffice in relationship to where the ring could have bounced and how far it would have potentially traveled after hitting the curb. This would be my final attempt to recover Trinity’s lost ring before having to call it quits. The thorn area that I cut in total was 30 feet wide, 15 feet deep into the woods and 7 feet in the air in every direction.

For the last time, I picked up my metal detector, placed my headphones on and continued playing the role of trash collector as I discovered more and more old cans, wrappers, bottles with metal tops and then some. Finally, after about two hours of searching and cutting, I got a signal which registered as an 8 and 9 indicator numbers on the detector screen. I had been getting those great signals the entire time out there because most of the targets ended up being little pieces of aluminum foil which mirrored that very range of numbers that I had been looking for. In all honesty, I didn’t think much of this particular target that was clearly buried beneath the ground. I was getting pretty tired at that point and every target that I was digging up would end up being the same disappointment – another similar piece of trash that I had already found in so many other places. Yet, I was forced to dig every single one of them up because I knew that the jewel would have to be slightly below the surface after nearly two years missing. My guess was that the ring buried itself to a depth of an inch or two at most. I dug up the target thinking it was just going to be yet another piece of trash. I took out my pinpointer and placed it down into the hole to isolate the exact spot where there object was positioned in the dirt. Once I zeroed in on the target, I continued to dig and then repeated the process by testing the hole with the handheld detector one more time. To my surprise, the metal object was no longer in the 4 to 5 inch pit that I had created. I then scanned the ground around the hole to see where the target ended up. Eventually, my pinpointer honed in on a particular clump of mud that contained whatever this mystery object happened to be. Almost immediately I saw just a tiny glimpse of something that looked gold in color, packed in dirt, and was completely surrounded by mud and portions of broken up leaves. My heart raced as I saw what appeared to be a gold ring with little stones going completely around the halo shaped object’s equator! I had found Trinity’s ring! I couldn’t believe it! I truly could not face the reality of what I was looking at!

The whole moment was completely surreal as I was not prepared for what had just transpired! Every trip I made, every task I took, every tool I used to bring me to this very spot was all worth the relentless efforts that I made! I continuously thanked the Lord for being there with me and guiding me through this entire journey until reaching this pinnacle of excitement and success! I was beyond moved by the moment and quite humbled by the fact that God allowed me to be the one to find the treasure and ultimately help this very kind young lady with recovering her precious “circle of love”! I was so happy that the sought after keepsake did in fact make it into the woods! All of my time talking and texting Trinity about the search, all of my commuting to the search site, all of my detecting, digging and demolition was not in vain! Everything I did was propelled based on a hope that the ring had in fact made it over the curb after hitting the asphalt! What a deep feeling of satisfaction I experienced out there in the woods with my knees to the ground!

As soon as I cleaned off the very pretty ring, I held it up in front of my eyes and I thought to myself, ‘To think that I am the first person to touch this ring since it was thrown by Trinity’s hand 2 years earlier. This was the very piece of jewelry that was bought by Francisco to represent his promise unto marriage one day, the same gift presented somewhere special as a surprise for the young man’s sweetheart and ultimately worn for several months before the unfortunate crisis took place with the couple.

The entire search that day was conducted from 2 pm until 4:30 pm. Before packing my things up, I measured the “crime scene” to see how many feet this little guy traveled, starting from the very spot where Trinity threw the keepsake and ending at its eventual resting place where I discovered the jewel. In total, it traveled 52 feet. Of that distance, it traveled approximately 17 feet into the woods surrounded by a forest of thorns and thistles!

Once I finished taking photos and video, I called Trinity to see if she could come out to the site so that I could share the big surprise with her in person. Unfortunately, she was not able to make it out to the high school due to her schedule. However, we eventually did a video conference call together and that’s when Trinity was absolutely blown away by the news of my discovery! She did not know that I had found the promise ring prior to setting up the phone call! When I finally did the ring reveal it was a moment that I will never forget! Trinity began to cry and the emotions of excitement and gratitude began to pour from within her heart and flow from her eyes! I could not have been happier for the newlywed bride! She couldn’t stop thanking me and asking me questions about where I ultimately found the irreplaceable gem! What a fantastic time that it was for me to share such an unexpected happy report! I never gave up and I kept on believing until the very end!

The story finally came to an encouraging conclusion when Trinity and I reunited back at her former high school for one last time so I could personally hand her the ring that she so desperately wanted back in her possession! I had the pleasure and joy to orient my client over to the hole where I found the ring buried, as well as showed the young lady all of the bramble that I had cut down to gain access into that last piece of real estate where I eventually found the keepsake! My client was amazed! That very sad chapter that took place two years earlier had finally come to an end. The memories of adversity experienced on that particular day in the parking lot were now replaced with smiles and celebration of redemption!

I was so excited to find this ring for Trinity! It definitely turned out to be a « legendary story » because nobody really knew for sure whether or not the ring ever made it into the woods, even though in the end Trinity was correct that she did in fact hear the jewel hit the leaves. Many of my clients believe they experienced one thing or another during the disappearance of their special item. However, sometimes in the end, we come to find out that the true reality of the situation paints a completely different picture once the search is completed. In this particular case, my client was not only correct about what had happened, but also Trinity did the courageous thing and hired a professional ring finder to attempt to solve this mystery. In the end, I was extremely proud to profess these two final words…“Case Closed”!

As a professional ring finder, you never know where the next phone call will take you. This story certainly takes the « wedding cake »! I received a phone call from a young lady who had just gotten married approximately 18 hours before I was contacted. Michaele, the newlywed bride, shared with me that she sadly could not be married with her wedding band because it had gotten lost sometime around the time of the wedding ceremony. Here is the backstory as to what happened leading up to the moment when I received Michaele’s call for help:

The Wheel of Time Book Renaissance-Style Book Which Michaele Used to Secure the Two Wedding Rings Within for Her Beautiful Wedding Ceremony

Prior to leaving for the wedding, the bride placed both wedding bands (hers and his) inside a special hollowed out renaissance style book which folds together and then secured by leather twine. It mainly was hard material and very flat (like a book that folded together). There was space between the two bindings to place the two marital keepsakes inside of it. Michaele knew that her husband-to-be, George, loved the book series called The Wheel of Time. This particular « ring holder » that she picked out to use for the wedding was actually a Wheel of Time online product. She thought that George would really appreciate something like this for the ceremony. It was quite creative of her to incorporate George’s sentiment with the series during their special moment when they would exchange rings.

Once the two « circles of love » were placed inside the flat book and the two bindings enclosed the jewelry, the item was tied with the renaissance-style cord attached to it. Lastly, Michaele took the Wheel of Time novelty and packaged it up for safe keeping in its original box. Then, the excited bride gathered up all of the rest of her things needed for the ceremony and finished preparing to leave for her wedding – one of the most special moments in her entire life!

On the way to the wedding, Michaele gave the « book of rings » to her Maid of Honor who had it safely secured inside a bag with some other items that were also taken to Fairwinds on the Severn Beach Club where the wedding ceremony would soon take place.

As soon as the bride’s car arrived at the wedding venue, the person driving the vehicle parked it a little ways down a dead end path just about 200 feet from the front of the club house to keep the bride out of view from guests arriving. Michaele waited in her coach until it was time to make her appearance just prior to the time when the bridal party was to be assembled for the processional. Meanwhile, the Maid of Honor made sure that everything was in place and that the box with the rings inside were secured in the bag up until it was time for Michaele to personally hand the renaissance-style « flat book » to the ring bearer (who was waiting at the bottom of the steps of the lovely gazebo where the wedding ceremony was about to begin).

Eventually, the bride was brought to the front of the club house. She exited the vehicle and almost immediately greeted the young and handsome ring bearer who was excited to participate in the unforgettable event. Michaele took the Wheel of Time book from within its box and handed it to the nervous boy. At that point everything was ready to begin. Within minutes the bride would soon be walking up some steps to the top of the gazebo and then across the long wooden floor where she would be greeted with smiles from her future husband George!

This is now the part in the story when the unexpected drama ensued. The entire wedding party including the bride and groom were assembled inside the gazebo and the time had finally come for the ring bearer to present the renaissance-style book. Then, it was to be opened so that the wedding rings would be revealed. As soon as the ring bearer presented the book to be opened, the Maid of Honor and Best Man moved forward to take the rings out of the book. The plan was for the two of them to hand the « symbols of love » to the bride and groom for the ring exchange to take place. To everyone’s shock and dismay, the Maid of Honor was able to retrieve George’s wedding band from the Wheel of Time book, but the Best Man could not find Michaele’s wedding band anywhere! It was gone! The Best Man looked again and again and he finally confirmed for certain that the wedding band had not made it down to the altar! Panic amongst the bride and groom along with the rest of the wedding party immediately set in. I believe the Maid of Honor went off looking for the lost sacred wedding band (to see if maybe the ring fell out of the ring bearer’s book someplace along the route he traveled). Sadly, the ceremony came to a sudden halt. Not only did the groomsmen and bridesmaids begin looking about, but also many of the wedding guests took flight to see if they could rescue the poor young lad out of the doghouse for supposedly losing one of the most important elements in almost every wedding around the world.

I don’t know how much time had passed before it was concluded that the bride’s wedding band could not be recovered, but at some point the decision was made to continue the ceremony without the precious keepsake. The groom’s mother kindly volunteered to loan her very own band as a temporary replacement for the one that tragically went missing. She quickly slid her ring off of her finger and happily handed it to George’s Best Man who then in turn gave it to the groom. George eventually placed the family heirloom upon his beautiful bride’s finger and Michaele did the same with her sweetheart’s irreplaceable keepsake as well.

Michaele was extremely disappointed that she was not married with her actual wedding band which was specifically designed by the jeweler to nest itself into place with her lovely engagement ring. Nonetheless, the wedding was absolutely magical according to what the bride told me. Following the wedding, everyone was still hunting around for the lost diamond band that had sadly missed its special moment during the ceremony. The Maid of Honor was the most upset out of everyone next to the bride because she was the one that was designated to make certain that the rings made it to the wedding and that the ring bearer was prepared and ready to march them down to the altar. The young lady kept looking in the original empty box that the Wheel of Time book had originally been secured in until the time that the ring bearer was given it to hold for the ceremony. There were guests looking on the road and studying the wooden cracks of the gazebo’s flooring hoping to spot the lost keepsake. Also, people were scanning the grass with their eyes and searching between rocks that were spread apart down by the water. The poor ring bearer began to cry as he was being interrogated by some of the relatives while the wedding pictures were being taken.

Approximately 30 people or more took interest in the treasure hunt for the lost wedding band following the wedding ceremony. Unfortunately, none of the family and friends (who had such passion to recover such a priceless piece of jewelry) were able to solve the mystery of the disappearance of Michaele’s wedding band. At some point the wedding party and guests had to return to their cars and head for the reception. It was time for everyone to switch gears and begin to celebrate the covenant that had recently been made between Michaele and George.

It wasn’t until the next morning that the bride spent a little time looking online, searching for a metal detecting service in the Severna Park, Maryland area. She wanted to see if maybe a professional could find her lost keepsake (if it hadn’t already been found by someone walking around the clubhouse following the ceremony). THE RING FINDERS website popped up on her phone and immediately Michaele searched for a local metal detectorist who might be able to help her recover the special band. My contact information became available to the bride and within a few minutes (while she was getting ready for a special post-wedding luncheon with close family and friends) the young lady had me gripped while I listened to her very dramatic and most disappointing details regarding the disappearance of her beloved wedding band.

As soon as Michaele finished giving me all of the details regarding what took place during her special day, I was struck with such compassion for the young lady and I told her that I would do everything in my power to recover her lost wedding band – the « symbol of love » that never made it down the isle. I told her that I would adjust my schedule for the day so that I could focus just on this particular search which was extremely time sensitive. Though my client shared that there was not going to be another wedding or other special event at that particular venue that day, we didn’t know if people in the neighborhood or other visitors might end up eyeballing the ring if it was lying somewhere in plain sight. The odds of that were very slim simply because there were dozens of people looking on the ground, the front walkway, in the grass and all over the wood flooring of the clubhouse gazebo.

Michaele was so very grateful for my passion and excitement to attempt to redeem the situation as best as one could under the circumstances. I would give it all I had to try and find that which meant so very much to the new bride. As soon as we said goodbye, the newlywed couple began to host their post-wedding brunch while I started to prepare for my own visit to the very place where the couple « tied the knot » less than 24 hours earlier.

In getting ready for the search, I knew that this particular project was a very special and unique type of recovery operation. With a bit of creativity and color in my thoughts, I asked myself what would be appropriate to wear to the former wedding venue. Normally I would just have on some jeans or shorts depending on the weather outside. For this particular special circumstance I decided to dress formal for the occasion! I wore my full black tie tuxedo suit! This included a tuxedo shirt, studs, cufflinks, tuxedo pants, tuxedo patent leather shoes, a vest and of course my James Bond style tuxedo jacket! Because of how unique this particular story happened to be, I felt it would be fun to be festive and do the entire search in a tuxedo outfit! An absolute first for me to do this! I wasted no time in getting ready and within 45 minutes I was in the car driving to Severna Park, Maryland.

I arrived down by the water of this most serene environment within an hour of leaving my home. As I was pulling in to the private property of Fairwinds on the Severn Beach Club, I could see the clubhouse with its marvelous gazebo stretching over most of the building. I immediately could see why the couple wanted to get married in such a lovely environment with an absolutely stunning backdrop. The scene out on the water was beyond spectacular!

As I imagined the whole dramatic moment when people started looking everywhere for the missing ring, I took notice of the front drive where the bride was brought to the front of the walkway (which then takes one up a flight of steps to the gazebo). I observed the long grassy-like bushes on the left and much grass to the right of the short walkway which were potential spots where the ring bearer could have opened up the book and accidentally dropped the ring. That was one of the theories that the bride, groom and some of the wedding party had discussed.

After parking my vehicle in front of the clubhouse where Michaele was dropped off prior to walking towards the altar, I got out my metal detecting gear and began to look over the entire property. The first thing that I wanted to do was to check all of the gaps between the gazebo’s wooden flooring. I took note of where the ring could have slipped down below the planks. In my estimation there were just a couple of places where this was even possible and so I chose to put aside any additional investigating of that area unless it was necessary to take another look later on.

My next location to focus on was the grassy lawn. I metal detected the left side of the front walk and there was nothing found at all but little pieces of scrap metal. On the right side of the front walkway was a much larger strip of grass. Nobody knew whether or not the ring bearer had strolled around on the grass while waiting to be called for the processional walk. Therefore, it was essential that I carefully scan the lawn for the ring.

Slowly and methodically I grid searched for the very small and dainty wedding band that had never reached Michaele’s finger on the day of her wedding. Because the ring was so very petite, there was not a lot of white gold to detect. That is why I needed to go slow and carefully analyze every potential signal that I would come across as I moved in perfectly straight lines. Unfortunately, there was no jewelry to be found in that location. It was then time to move to the next search section.

I wasn’t looking forward to this next leg of the « investigation » but it had to be done. I began using my metal detector and my handheld pinpointer to search between the rocks and crevices located below the clubhouse steps and vestibule. I needed to be certain that the band did not fall between the gaps in the flooring and end up down below near the water. Luckily, gaps that were wide enough to accommodate a « halo » this small were pretty much non-existent in that area. There were only a couple of spots that I needed to check out. My conclusion was that the young boy did not lose the ring in that area while walking up the steps and turning left towards the gazebo to complete his march in the direction of where the bridal party stood.

When I was certain of one more place where I knew the ring wasn’t hidden, I moved on to yet another piece of the property. I metal detected over a section of white stones and rocks that were in a flower bed located to the left of the front walkway and adjacent to the front driveway. With the ring being made out of white gold, it would blend in perfectly with the stones and small rocks spread out in that particular piece of landscaping. I scanned everywhere and over everything in that region (including under all of the bushes and shrubs) and still I came up with nothing.

Truly I say that I was getting a bit perplexed by all of my strikeouts up to that point! In recounting what transpired with the loss of the ring approximately 21 hours earlier, it didn’t make sense as to why I didn’t find the ring or anyone else during the time of the big event. It wasn’t found in the obvious hiding places such as in the grass, between the rocks near the water under the clubhouse, or laying with the flower bed stones, pebbles or under the bushes. This meant that there were only 4 possibilities remaining on the table that would explain why I hadn’t found the jewel up to that point: One, I was negligent and happened to miss hitting the ring while searching. Two, the wedding bridal party and guests missed spotting the band in plain sight and then later on someone else came by and pocketed the keepsake. Three, the ring never made it out of the bride’s vehicle and somehow it came out of the box that the Wheel of Time book was placed inside and landed on the floor of the car (Note: the Maid of Honor did check the seats and floor of the vehicle and found nothing). And four, the ring was lost somewhere on the front driveway (which I hadn’t detected yet) before the book was presented to the ring bearer.

Well, in reviewing all of those possibilities, there were only two of them that I could follow-up with. Before detecting all of the areas that I had previously completed to see if I missed it the first go around, I took the most logical choice: scan the section of asphalt driveway in front of the clubhouse. Though I looked earlier with my eyes all around the concrete and found nothing when I first arrived, I knew very well that one’s vision can find it hard to adjust to parking lot surfaces, driveways and paved paths. I had to be certain that I didn’t miss the treasure anywhere out front. How the ring could have fallen out of the outer box that held the renaissance-style book and then slip out of the tied shut novelty item was beyond my comprehension. Yet, I’ve seen plenty of unexplainable situations take place during my years of ring finding!

Immediately I picked up my machine and started to detect the driveway path in front of my vehicle and behind it. No white gold was discovered. I then put my gear down, retrieved my car keys and reversed the vehicle back some distance away from where I still needed to scan the section that was previously under my car. Next, I returned to that space where the vehicle was in the way and I began hitting that very last area in front of the wedding venue.

Just like with the pavement that I detected minutes earlier, I systematically searched the small remaining patch of asphalt. Then, to my greatest surprise, my detector screen and headphones indicated that a potential target had been picked up on the surface of the driveway. The indicator number showing up on the machine was in the low range which sometimes points to the possibility that I have found a small gold item! I immediately looked down towards the pavement and there it was… Michaele’s lost wedding band that had never made it to the wedding altar! I actually found it! Truly I couldn’t believe it! I looked everywhere and to my utter amazement the little white gold diamond ring had been laying on the asphalt that entire time!

This moment that I was experiencing was beyond thrilling for me! As I went to pick up the precious band that nested perfectly with Michaele’s engagement ring, I was feeling so much excitement about being able to recover the lost jewel. But in addition to that, I was extremely satisfied to be able to solve the mystery as to how the ring had actually gotten lost in the first place and where it had been hiding (or actually laying) all along!

In the Middle of the Venue’s Front Driveway Beheld Michaele’s Lost Wedding Band the Entire Time!

Michaele’s « symbol of love » was found in the middle of the driveway, approximately 5 feet away from the beginning of the front walkway leading to the clubhouse! From where I had found the precious jewel, it was obvious what had happened to it just prior to the wedding processional. While still in the car, the bride had taken the Wheel of Time flat book (which held the two rings inside of it) out of its outer box. She held onto the renaissance-style novelty item as Michaele made her way out of her « coach » and over to where the ring bearer was standing. Just as the fairy princess exited the vehicle, at that very moment the ring must have then slipped out of one of the sides of the book and fell to the pavement! This meant that the ring bearer never had any involvement with the disappearance of the wedding band! It had been lost prior to the little man ever receiving the « book of rings »! And all that time, no one ever saw the white gold diamond ring just laying there in the middle of the driveway! The reason that I didn’t see the ring from the beginning of my search was because the entire time that I was at the site, my car was parked directly on top of the little jewel! I should have never parked so close to the crime scene!

Now that I had successfully recovered the lost band, it was time to surprise the bride with the amazing news! Of course, I found the ring while wearing my tuxedo, so I figured it was only appropriate to remarry the couple with my black tie outfit on as well! The groom finally had the opportunity of placing the bride’s wedding band on her finger and I wasn’t about to miss that moment for the world!

One Can Easily See How the Petite Piece of Gold Blended Well With the Asphalt Driveway Surrounding the Wedding Band!

After a few failed attempts to track the couple down on the phone and another failed attempt to surprise them with the ring in hand under another gazebo next to their house, I eventually was able to make contact with the bride and groom who were just about to leave a restaurant where they were at with family and friends. Michaele and George were completely in shock that I had found the ring! They just couldn’t believe it! They told some of their family who were nearby to them and they too were amazed at the outcome! George and Michaele were so grateful for my work and tears of joy rolled down the cheek of the newlywed bride!

Excitedly, I asked the couple if they would like to gather up whoever was available (including the Best Man and Maid of Honor) and meet me back at the Fairwinds on the Severn Beach Club for a Part 2 Re-take of the wedding ceremony! This go around however, the bride would be receiving her beloved wedding band for the first time – the very ring that her groom George was to have slipped onto her finger almost a day earlier!

Believe it or not, it was still less than 24 hours from the time the couple had gotten married! It was our goal to see if we could conduct a second wedding just before the bride and groom made it to their official first-full day-of-marriage mark! The couple rushed back to the clubhouse where we quickly assembled under the gazebo at the very place where the wedding had taken place just short of a day earlier! George’s father took the new role as the groom’s Best Man and Michaele’s new mother-in-law took on the role as Maid of Honor. I had the distinct honor to be the couple’s marriage officiant!

Metal Detectorist and Officiant Brian Rudolph Conducts a Second Wedding Ceremony with the Bridal Couple and Their Parents, Completing the « Exchange of Rings » Portion of the Service with the Very Wedding Band that Rudolph Himself was Able to Recover for Michaele the Bride!

What a very special moment it was for all of us to fill in that one missing moment that never took place just less than a day earlier! With processional music playing on my smartphone, the bride walked down the isle just as she did once before and again her handsome groom awaited her arrival as his proud father stood along side him and I to the right of George. Michaele’s new Maid of Honor stood to my right allowing just the right amount of space for the bride to take her very much anticipated position!

The Bride, Groom, Their Parents and Brian Rudolph Jointly Celebrate Not Only the Return of the Lost Ring but Also the Completion of Their Initial Wedding Ceremony Now That Michaele’s Beautiful Wedding Ring Was Finally Included in the « Exchange of Rings » Portion of the Wedding Service Officiated by Rudolph Himself!

I can’t express how amazing that moment was for me to be able to conduct a second ceremony for the newlywed couple, leading the bride and groom in the « Exchange of Rings » portion that was never fully completed the day before! For me personally it was an extremely powerful time to witness George placing that special wedding band on Michaele’s finger – yes, the very same one that I was called upon to search for and which I successfully recovered for George’s fairy tale bride! All of us that were there that afternoon agreed that we will always feel a certain special connection with one another through what we experienced together at George and Michaele’s wedding venue less than a day after their initial blissful wedding ceremony which they will no doubt cherish for a lifetime…and then some!
